Welcome to The Hip Replacement Podcast – a show by a hip replacement patient FOR hip replacement patients, their families and friends.
Whether you're preparing for surgery, in recovery, or just looking to move and live better — you're in the right place.
This episode is about the point of my transformation from someone with minimal goals and doubts for the future to someone with confidence to increase the goals and a more robust view of the future.
It happened because of a walk. A simple success occurred in completing a ¾ mile walk around my neighborhood. It started with a single loop around the lake consistently over a few weeks and then increasing the number of loops to increase the distance.
Look for successes in your recovery – something to give you confidence that you can return to your previous activity level and possibly even more.
