We have been talking a lot here on "The Human Side of Healthcare" about various aspects of Covid-19, surely the biggest medical story of our generation. One very important element of the impact of Covid-19 is on our kids. In the first two segments, we are delighted to have Dr. Mary Whitworth, Medical Director of Infectious Diseases at Cook Children's Health Care System with us to talk about how our kids are handling this emotionally, and how it has been affecting youth physically.

In the second half of the show we discuss the very important topic of having the assurance to call 911 if you or a loved one may be having a medical emergency, particularly related to a heart attack or stroke. Minutes can make a life-or-death difference in this game, so you absolutely don't want to hesitate to dial 911 if you should find yourself in this situation.

Joining us are Karen Yates, Chest Pain/EMS Coordinator at Methodist Health System Mansfield, Dr. Alan Taylor, Interventional Cardiologist also at Methodist Health Mansfield, and Kevin Cunningham EMS Battalion Chief at the Midlothian Fire Department.

This interview is full of valuable "need-to-know" information to be prepared for such an emergency.
