Janet St. James, Assistant Vice President, Strategic Communications at Medical City Healthcare, joins us this week with an update on what life has been like for her and her family since Covid-19. Janet, as many of you know, was the Medical reporter at WFAA, Channel 8 for nearly 20 years. In 2015 she joined Medical City and right before her orientation was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has shared her journey publicly on Facebook and has helped inspire and encourage thousands of people facing a cancer diagnosis. Certainly, as you will find out, things changed for her family once Covid-19 became a way of life.
In our last segment, Dr. Amy Wilson, Vice President, Medical Affairs at Baylor University Medical center, joins us to talk about the realm of opportunities for women in healthcare today. Over the last 15 years there has been quite a shift of more women in key management roles, like Dr. Wilson, and she talks about not only her own path, but what could be possible for other young women considering a career in healthcare.
