Note to anyone visiting Elizabeth in Atlanta- we're going to be walking! (LOL) On that note, welcome back to the podcast, one of my favorite internet friends, Sherreece Rowe!

Sherreece and I were connected through my husband Stan during a sales call after sharing she was a podcaster. The rest they say is history. Finally after a year and a half, Sher and I met in person when she visited me in Atlanta.

This episode is our Atlanta recap, from the hilarious shenanigans we got into and so much more, here's a look at what you're in store for:

  • Welcome to Atlanta, apparently you have to pay $ for a lot (I mean, try getting a dj to play your song without a tip)
  • The food.... and how it wasn't a win for Sherreece
  • Is Maryland a southern state?  Jury is still out on that one!
  • Walk walk walk walk walk everywhere - when I tell you we're walking, believe me
  • Shutting down the Claremont Lounge
  • Internet friends and how to make them
  • Creative pursuits and how we support each other

The amount of giggles giggled in this episode barely hold a candle to the fun that we had while Sher was in town. Can't wait our next visit, and in the meantime, you can check out Sher at the links below:

Elizabeth (00:06):
Hey, hey, hey, welcome back to another episode
of the in between.
I'm your host, Elizabeth Cheney.
And as promised, she's back,y'all.
Cherise Rowe.
Yes.
My girlfriend from Baltimore ishere on the podcast.
And, uh, she actually was justhere in Atlanta.
But if you're watching this, youcan tell we are not together and

(00:27):
leave it to us just to have toomuch phone, too much phone, too
much fun while she's in thecity.
And we can't record because wewoke up and we were like, I
don't know Same.
I'm really sleepy.
So we recorded a week laterremotely.
So anyways, Charisse, welcomeback to the podcast.

Sherreece (00:48):
Hey everyone.

Elizabeth (00:51):
We're in our, our cool glasses if, if you would
like to catch us.

Sherreece (00:56):
We definitely, supposed to record.
Uh, we both sound horrible.
That's because Liz had me outall night.
She had me out all I was like,oh, this is how you guys party
in the a I've been missing out.

Elizabeth (01:13):
And for anybody listening who knows me, you're
like Liz being out all night.
Yeah, that's, that's her.
Only when, only when Shariceisn't down.
Only when Sharice isn't down.
Uh, but for those who are new tothe podcast, real quick history.
I kind of like how Sharice and Imet.
I know a lot of times I talkabout meeting friends on the
internet and although that's notexactly how we met, it's a way

(01:36):
we got close.
So it's a really weird, notweird, but like funny story.
Stan was, Stan's my husband, forthose who don't know, he was on
a sales call and Cherise was theperson on the other end calling
for her company.
And they start talking and sheshares that she has a podcast
and he's like, Oh, my wife has apodcast.
This was like in 2022.
And so instantly I hear this, myinterest is peaked.

(01:58):
I run out, we connect onInstagram and then boom, the
rest is history.
And now we are, we have gottento know each other very well.
We've even met in person and Ilove you and I love our
relationship and I just, youknow, There is no right way to
meet people.
There is no wrong way to meetpeople, I guess is what I was
trying to say.

Sherreece (02:16):
we're like virtual pen pals and you can't be I
don't know but

Elizabeth (02:22):
of.
Virtual hype girls.
Virtual friends, supporters,creative connoisseurs.

Sherreece (02:30):
So, you know if you meet anyone like on the internet
or through someone and then onthe internet Just make sure that
you do have like facetime callsand you text and see what the
vibes are So when you meet inperson, it won't feel weird
because it didn't feel weird

Elizabeth (02:44):
It did not.
It felt like we'd known eachother for like decades.
At least that's how it felt for

Sherreece (02:48):
Yeah, it was, it was natural.
I was actually very nervous.
okay.
Oh, is that her I hug her?
Is she a hugger?
Yeah, she she runs out the car.
She's like Good, we're hugging.
It worked.

Elizabeth (03:08):
Good.
I was like, I think I even, Ithink I warned you.
I was like, by the way, I'm ahugger.
That's okay.
Like, yeah, I love hugs.
And then I was like, I'm jumpingon you.
So, you know, I am, I do what Ido.
but anyways, yes, that is how wemet.
It's, I love showing that story.
I think it's fun.
And, um, you know, what's funnyis I really wasn't nervous.
I was like, Oh my God, I'm goingto smother her and we're going

(03:29):
to be best that's funny thatprobably cause you're like, I
hope this bitch doesn't get me.

Sherreece (03:36):
Everyone was like, so worried.
Sharice, did you turn on yourlocation?
Um, where are you?
Did you meet her?
Is she with her husband?
Are you okay?
Like, what's going on?
But yeah, everyone was cool.
I was like, I'm fine, mother.

Elizabeth (03:50):
I hope your mother loves me after our FaceTime.
Like when I come to Baltimore, you know, I expect to be one of
the children.
I expect to be your, yoursister.

Sherreece (04:00):
I said that you guys probably won't come until like,
uh, maybe next year, but yeah,we're gonna have a good time.
Just like I did in Hot Lana.
Yeah.

Elizabeth (04:10):
we'll see.
what happens.
You know me, I'm trying to getall my ducks in a row and
hopefully when I get some saidducks in a row, I'll have a
better schedule and I can like, maybe I could come to this year.
You never know.

Sherreece (04:20):
Yeah.

Elizabeth (04:23):
but, uh, let's talk about you a little bit.
So for those who maybe didn'thear our episode, I think it was
like early in 2023 is came out.
you wear many, many hats and youare a very, very creative person
with multiple creative hats.
It's one of the things I loveyou.
Like one of the many things Ilove about you.
I feel like it's not even thatyou're always pivoting, but

(04:45):
you're always, you Like one ofmy favorite things to say is
jump and the net will appearleap and the net will appear and
I feel like You're alwaysleaping and seeing what will
come from it.
What let me try this.
Let I mean you were a solopodcaster and then you what have
like a another podcast comingout.
You are a film writer You'retrying to get your own
production like created and puton the web like you do so many

(05:10):
amazing things So I'll give themic to you

Sherreece (05:13):
Yeah.
Um, well you pretty much summedit up.
I do so many different things.
Do, um, so many differentthings.
that's the Baltimore thing, thatI, I let, I let Liz in on with
the do and the to that everyonesays that we say, which is not
completely not true.
But, um, yeah,

Elizabeth (05:34):
Well, because one guy called it out.
One guy we met was like, Oh, Ido.
I hear that.

Sherreece (05:39):
yeah, yeah.
He like really went in.
We were like out one night.
I think it might've been Fridaynight.
What was the Saturday yeah, Iwent out on the town.
They took me out to, like, alittle strip.
I think it was called Virginia,

Elizabeth (05:52):
Highlands.

Sherreece (05:53):
Highlands.
And this guy, he was fromAlabama?
And he was like, um, Oh, yeah,it came out that I was from
Baltimore.
He was like, oh, and then hejust started going, Do, to,
like, he just started saying thewords.
And I'm like, okay, like, calmdown.
He's like, yeah, you guys arelike, do, to, you.

(06:15):
And we do.
Sorry,

Elizabeth (06:18):
Well, I do want to say when I asked you, like,
what's an accent for everyonelistening?
This was her response.
I said, so what's a Baltimoreaccent?
All she responds with is to do.
And I'm just looking at her likeblank.
Look like.
Um, 2 plus 2 equals 4.
What are you talking about?
I don't understand.
And then she's

Sherreece (06:39):
I did.

Elizabeth (06:39):
this is what we sound like, but it cracked me up.
And then, of course, I picked upon it all weekend.
I was like, there it is.
That ooh, ooh.

Sherreece (06:49):
Yeah, yeah, it's very not fair.
But I definitely looked at herand I was like, two.

Elizabeth (06:53):
Yeah, that's literally all you

Sherreece (06:54):
I'm like, two.
And she's like, okay, why areyou saying two?

Elizabeth (07:00):
I'm like, y'all, I don't know.

Sherreece (07:04):
But, um, but yes, I am, uh, I am currently planning
another podcast with anothergood friend of mine.
Uh, he's actually an actor andcomedian.
He's doing very well.
so we're collaborating on a newpodcast, the Inconvenient Truths
Podcast.
I'm also working on the webseries.
So I.
So I wrote my first mini threepart mini web series called love

(07:29):
johns and um pretty much It'slike drama romance Uh, so i'm
very excited about it becauseit's like my first project that
I wrote and i'm directing on myown And I do have a production
crew Uh cameraman and thingslike that, but like i'm just
like really proud that I finallygot it done and when I was down

(07:50):
in the a Uh, we definitelylooked at it And there's some
suggestions throughout thescript.
I had printed a hard copy Buti'm i'm excited about that.
I actually been bartending andthings like that too.
But Uh, this is my my bigproject.
So hopefully it will be fallfilming in the next

Elizabeth (08:14):
I think it's very impressive, and you should be
proud.
because writing a script is noteasy, because you have to think
about, like, when you're writinga script, it's more than just a
story.
Like, as in a book, you canwrite out the scene you want to
envision, but with a script, youhave to think of every single
thing in the script, in theactions, in the text, in the

(08:38):
emotions, because otherwise, Howare the, the, the viewers going
to get it?
So I, I, you should be proudcause it's not an easy feat and
it was really good and it wasentertaining and I was like,
this will be great.
So I guess one of those thingswhere like.
You get the whole picture, but,you know, once someone picks it
up, because I feel like theycould, because it's like the
thing about this whole story, and I do want to humble brag on

(09:00):
you, is it's like an originalidea, kind of.
Like, it's just different.
I don't feel like I've seen it.
I can see it for what it is, andI can also see it play out in
even more.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's just, it's a greatidea.
I wish you were filming it inthe A, but whatever.
I understand you live inBaltimore, but,

Sherreece (09:16):
should.
My first day, I walked through amovie set, and Liz is like, oh
yeah, that happens all the time.
I'm like, oh, I'm in the wrongcity then.
But, um, but yeah, I'm

Elizabeth (09:26):
look like Baltimore.

Sherreece (09:30):
But yeah, it was, um, it's an accomplishment.
I also just graduated

Elizabeth (09:36):
Yes, you did.

Sherreece (09:36):
with my Bachelor's in Communications.
So, I'm planning on going to NewYork Film Academy in the fall.
So Uh, just to take some oftheir production workshops like
a six week course, that's my Butum, yeah, it's definitely gonna
be more to come.
Uh, maybe i'll write, the bossboy accent, i'll I'll write a

(10:00):
story about us

Elizabeth (10:02):
I love it.

Sherreece (10:02):
Um, you know put a little spin to it, you know
Maybe I do come down to Atlantaand like, you like kidnapped me.

Elizabeth (10:10):
Love it.
In this hat.
Can this hat be in it?
Okay.

Sherreece (10:14):
yeah, the hat can be like a staple in the movie.
Um, that's how they found me.
We can like line up clues.
And then like the hats likefound me like dusted for prints
on a tag.

Elizabeth (10:26):
There we are.
There we go.
We'll have a little fear andloathing in Las Vegas, a little
too Wong Fu, and then someBonnie and Clyde.
We'll just make it happen.

Sherreece (10:35):
one, speaking of too wrong, wrong fool.
One thing about it is she knowsthat movie front and back and
front and back inside inside.
Um,

Elizabeth (10:45):
and I've known it since I was like five before I
knew what any of the themesmeant.
So it's like I was quoting thatmovie and probably like making
my mother like roll in her, likejust roll.
Like, yeah, I almost said rollin her grave and I'm like, uh,
why would I say

Sherreece (11:00):
You know, it's okay.
But yes, definitely know thatmovie from front and back.
But I definitely enjoyed my timein Atlanta.
I would like to visit again.
I'm not sure if that's like aplace I It's not giving, it
doesn't remind me of the citycity.
Um, you But, um, It was fun, like it was interesting, um, you

(11:22):
know, up north we, up north, which Maryland is a southern
state, was one of the firstsouthern states, I just want to
throw that out there because wehad a little debate

Elizabeth (11:29):
I was waiting for that.
Uh, no, no, no.
Pause for the audiencelistening.
Do you consider Maryland,Baltimore, Maryland, a Northern
state or a Southern state?
Because every single person wesurveyed agreed with me that it
is a Northern state, but Cheriseis under the illusion.
It's a Southern state.

Sherreece (11:48):
first of all, everyone we asked lived in a
southern state, um, and probablydid not know that Maryland was
one of the southern states.
We are on the, uh, what is thename of it?
Cause I can just get it righthere.

Elizabeth (12:01):
was in the Mason Dixon line.

Sherreece (12:03):
Yes, yes, thank you So because we were on the mason
dixon we are on the mason dixonline that makes us a southern
state

Elizabeth (12:13):
I'm going to make this a clip and I'm going to
poll people and we're going tofind out.
We're going to find out like atthe end of the day, is Maryland
a northern state or a southernstate?
Who claims Maryland?

Sherreece (12:25):
southern state be smart guys

Elizabeth (12:32):
But yeah, that was, that was fun.
I feel like that was like one ofour little like schticks the
whole weekend.
you think this is a southernstate?

Sherreece (12:41):
yeah

Elizabeth (12:42):
But no, I agree with you, it's not really a city
city.
It's like, it's kind of whatmakes Atlanta unique.
Um, but for everyone who knowsme, we all know like, I hate our
public transportation or lackthereof.
So like, it's those things whereI'm like, but it's not a real
city.
So, you how it How it be.

Sherreece (12:58):
Yeah, but I did have fun.
It felt silly like I mean that'sone thing that was crazy about
like we walked past and likesome uh A crowd was like dancing
on, what was that, what was itWe just came off the Scott, the,
what's it called, the Scott

Elizabeth (13:14):
Oh yeah, there was a bunch of uh, like, they were
like breakdancing or something.

Sherreece (13:18):
and I was like, Oh, this is cool.
But it was giving like New Yorkvibes back in the eighties.
However, I, I was like, this isdope because I don't see that
like around my city anymore.
I mean, we do, we are known forlike, um, club dancing.
Like very popular for that and alot of people who aren't from
Baltimore take that and then youtry to capital, well they

(13:41):
capitalize off of it.
Um, people from like Cali andFlorida and I mean it's cool but
you know just give us ourcredit.
For that, you know, give us allcredit.
But, um, when I saw that, I waslike, oh, this is cool.
And it was giving city vibes.
It was a little bit of graffiti.
Not like bad graffiti, like art.
around.
And they were like, you know.

(14:01):
And I was like, okay.
And I went to record them.
Didn't know my light was on.
I was like, oh.
Like, didn't want to be obvious.
But, um, it was a good time.
Um, yeah.
It was

Elizabeth (14:13):
I'm crackin up.

Sherreece (14:14):
just so many different things that happened
on this trip I didn't know Someof them I felt bad about.
You go to a new city, and youexplore.
You explore the food,

Elizabeth (14:29):
Oh my

Sherreece (14:32):
the places.
I'm gonna go ahead and let youknow if you want to talk about
the cheese steak.

Elizabeth (14:38):
goodness.

Sherreece (14:39):
I

Elizabeth (14:39):
I'm cracking up.

Sherreece (14:41):
like, oh

Elizabeth (14:42):
No, you weren't getting on my nerves.
I felt bad, but I also willargue like who puts mayonnaise
on a cheesesteak?
Probably everyone from theNorth, but, but I take her to
one of my favorite sandwichplaces in the city.
And I like me and Stan talk thisplace up.
We are like, this is the mostamazing meal.
You're going to have this wholetrip.

(15:03):
Like you're going to like.
Pass out come back to life.
Like this is the creme de lacreme and it's Fred's meat and
meat and bread Which I stillstand on that hill that I love
it.
Um, I think this was a fluke butthe first thing is well she's
like what comes on the sandwichand I'm like And I ran I'm
thinking like I'm sure they docheese steaks differently up
there because I know like it'slike cheese was almost kind of
crazy shit

Sherreece (15:24):
No, that's in Philly, but

Elizabeth (15:25):
Oh, is that just Philly?
So he tells her, she said, well, can I get like mayonnaise?
Can I get like tomato?
He's like, sure.
Well, our food comes out andhers is like a little bit
cooler.
It's a colder compared to oursand it was like noticeably and
it's supposed to be scaldinghot.
So we're like, no, no, no, we'llgo get this fixed.
And the guy was super cool.
He's like, yeah, I'll take careof it.
So within like 10 minutes youget your sandwich we open it and

(15:49):
it is like For lack of betterwords, it looks like someone
jizzed on this sandwich.
Like, it was just so much whiteshit.
And of course that must havebeen the mayonnaise.
And I don't know why they feltthe need to like dump the whole
thing of mayonnaise on at thistime.
And I'm assuming it's Spreadbecause it was so hot, but it
was not, you could not eat likeit was not a thing.

(16:12):
So she was, she was a trooper.
She was like, Oh, you know,Lizzie, it's okay.
Like it's fine.
I'm like, no, that looks likeshit.
I would not eat that.
Like, so that

Sherreece (16:23):
And I love that.
Yeah, and I was so disappointed.
Well one like I was like theydid hype up the subs.
They hyped

Elizabeth (16:31):
I did.

Sherreece (16:31):
I was like, okay, this is gonna be the best cheese
stick i've ever had I'm, likewhat's on it?
They're like meat cheese andonions.
What?
I'm, like that's it just meatcheese and onions and i'm a
sauce girl So I you know, I eatmy cheese sticks with meat
cheese fried onions mayo Tomato, maybe lettuce in there a little

(16:53):
hot You Um, American cheese.
And when I got the remake, I waslike, okay, I'm just going to,
you know, try it.
But it was just so And I didn'teven have to bite it for the
mayonnaise to fall off of the

Elizabeth (17:04):
No, it was like, don't go chasing mayonnaise
falls.
Like that's what it was.
Like it was.

Sherreece (17:13):
You can tell people don't order like mayonnaise on
this sandwich.

Elizabeth (17:16):
Let's

Sherreece (17:17):
They went crazy.

Elizabeth (17:17):
what do they call it in porn when it's like the money
shot?
Like, that's what it lookedlike.
Like, it was just, it was notokay.
Um, then I made your ass walkeverywhere.
Which,

Sherreece (17:31):
I lost 19 pounds on Lizzie.
If that's a halfway South Parkreference.
Have you seen the new Um, yeah, you had me walking everywhere.
Like

Elizabeth (17:44):
did tell you we would.

Sherreece (17:47):
you did.
I didn't expect to really belike walking.

Elizabeth (17:55):
Oh,

Sherreece (17:55):
It was hard to walk is 18 minutes.
I'm like, Oh, how far is it?
She's like, Oh, it's only like18 minutes.
It's like an 18 minute walk.
What?
It takes me 20 minutes to walk amile it's hot georgia heat is
nothing to play with like

Elizabeth (18:13):
No, I'm sorry.
I'm trying to keep, I'm tryingto keep my shit together, but
I'm giggling because like,you're right.
What a psychopath.
I'm just like, it's 20 minutehike.

Sherreece (18:24):
Even stan was like, you know, babe, we should bird
i'm like i'm with stan.
Let's get on the birds

Elizabeth (18:32):
I'm

Sherreece (18:32):
doesn't want to walk

Elizabeth (18:33):
pee.
I'm gonna pee my pants.

Sherreece (18:38):
said ladies you are a walking fool

Elizabeth (18:42):
Oh, my cheeks hurt.
In my defense, I do think thatone walk to Krog was a little
over a mile, so it wasn't toofar off from a mile.

Sherreece (18:51):
Bro, I was like, okay every morning I woke up And I
said, all right, Sharice, beprepared to walk today because
as soon as Liz comes to pick youup, you're walking the rest of
the way.
We park and walk.
That's what we did.
We parked and we walked.

Elizabeth (19:14):
I can't, like, my cheeks hurt so bad right now.

Sherreece (19:18):
that.
P.
W.
Um, Park and Walk.
That's

Elizabeth (19:20):
do what,

Sherreece (19:24):
that's going to be the new name of my phone.

Elizabeth (19:26):
It's what you do in I can't

Sherreece (19:34):
Pog a walk.

Elizabeth (19:36):
Hey, I will say your, your hotel was like literally a
hop, skip and a jump from myplace.
Like, it was like literally sixminutes.
Well, that was nice.
Although you had quite theentertainment at the hotel, I
hear, from waiting on me.

Sherreece (19:49):
Oh my yeah.
Um, yeah.
Probably won't stay there again,okay?
It wasn't, was perfect.
The location was perfect.

Elizabeth (19:59):
Yeah, location was perfect.

Sherreece (20:02):
um, But, too many, uh, I guess regular people
because I was kind of likedowntown.
Um, right with me now.
Yeah, so too

Elizabeth (20:10):
you were like right in the line.

Sherreece (20:12):
read a lot.
Okay.
Yeah, I I saw man I don't wantto talk about what I saw But I
was like, yep time to go.
I'm gonna go ahead go ahead andgo back in my room I'm not gonna
sit out here and catch any morebreezes because I might catch
something else.
I don't know what's happeningover here It's a lot of
activity.
I'm just like, okay.
All

Elizabeth (20:31):
Just normal Atlanta bullshit, you know, there's the
crack guy on the corner There'sthe homeless guy trying to fight
the crack guy for said cracklike it Oh

Sherreece (20:44):
things that I saw You

Elizabeth (20:46):
you saw some crazy shit.
I'm not gonna lie We're likedamn you were here for how many
nights four nights and you sawall that my goodness.

Sherreece (20:55):
Yeah.
I was like, yeah.
Oh, wow.
And they talk about Baltimore, like, I'm just joking.
No, but for real and no, I didnot say, oh, this feels like
home.
I was just like, what'shappening?
Not at the Grand Hotel.
Okay.

(21:15):
Alright.
Pretty grand here, but, alright.

Elizabeth (21:18):
Oh My god, I'm dead.
I'm cracking up.
Geez.
Um Well Overall, the trip was asuccess because it was a lot of
fun, but we kicked it off with ashitty sandwich and a hell of a
lot of walking.
But, we birded.
You sprained your wrist or handor something, birding.

(21:39):
Um, it definitely wasn'tMurphy's Law, what could go
wrong would go wrong, but I dofeel like we had a very good
equal plane of like, ah, shit, and then, ah, shit, this is fun!

Sherreece (21:50):
Absolutely.
I agree.
oh my gosh, like, okay, are wetalking about this trip?
Because,

Elizabeth (21:56):
Yeah, we're talking about this trip.
Let's talk about this trip.

Sherreece (21:58):
alright, so, Liz took me to the Claremont Hotel.

Elizabeth (22:06):
Claremont Lounge, yeah.

Sherreece (22:08):
be some old ass strippers.
it was

Elizabeth (22:11):
For those who don't know, it's a novelty.
It's a novelty experience, it'sa strip club, but I want you to
throw out every idea you have ofa strip club because this is not
it.

Sherreece (22:19):
Yes, definitely not.
They don't even have a pool.

Elizabeth (22:24):
Your feet are sticking to the ground.
One.
Um, know that the strippersrange in ages from probably 21
to like 87.
So, there's that.
Um, A lot of them, like, some ofthem dance, some of them just
kind of walk around and they'relike, look at these

Sherreece (22:42):
that's the one lady.

Elizabeth (22:46):
If you're watching this, this is what they look
like.
They're just like blanket face, like, Oh, is this what you want?
Okay, let me go to this side.
This is what you want.
And they're wearing likestockings and flip flops.
So picture what that looks like.
We're talking about one inparticular, one person in
particular.
And you know, she's out theredoing the Lord's work, but like.
She looked like she'd rather bein 37 other places than that.

(23:07):
Like, she looked like she wokeup.
Like, someone pulled her out ofbed and said, You need to go
walk around in circles.
That's what she did.

Sherreece (23:13):
And she was doing it to Mary J.
Blige, just fine.
The song is like, if you knowit, like, it's like, I

Elizabeth (23:19):
It's like, fine, fine,

Sherreece (23:21):
fun, woo!

Elizabeth (23:22):
Ooh! It's like a woman empowerment.
Like, I'm doing good.
I'm owning my shit.
I'm confident.
And then she's just like,

Sherreece (23:28):
Just walking around with her titty From side to
side.
In flip flops.

Elizabeth (23:33):
With flip flops, with stockings.
Like, like, we cannot forget thestockings.
Like, I just

Sherreece (23:38):
I was sitting next to Liz, she said, I feel so bad for
her.
I was like, why?
boring.
ha ha.

Elizabeth (23:48):
mean, it was like, the vibe went down real quick.
Like, so quick.
Yeah.
was, um, and then you had myhusband, who was like, Look at
these titties! You wanna throwsome money?
Oh my god, look at this! Like,he was like, just like having
the time of his life.
Like, he was trying to, he wastrying to get me and Sharista,
like, Dance, and he was reallytrying to, like, be the hype
man.
It was fun.
It was a good time, but weclosed that shit down.

(24:10):
Like, we were there till close, and that's why we didn't record.
Because we were out till threein the morning.

Sherreece (24:19):
in the morning.
She turned into this person.
She turned into

Elizabeth (24:26):
First of all, we were all hammered, and almost four in
the morning, and Cherise islike, I gotta get a Black and
Mild, and I'm like, no you donot, we need to go to bed.
Cause

Sherreece (24:39):
I smoked black miles.
But yes, I needed a cigar.
And it was 3 in the morning.
And instead of, I feel like Lizwas like, yeah, we probably
shouldn't do, you'll get onearound here.
But we're all in.
And she's like, it's freaking,I'm keeping it PG.
It's freaking four o'clock inthe morning.
I was like, okay.
She said

Elizabeth (25:01):
were like, we can go, and I'm like, no, we are going
home, like,

Sherreece (25:06):
was four o'clock in the morning.
About a, about 50 times she waspissed.
I was like, Oh, maybe we don'tstay out this far.
I mean, that was a, that wasbeen a long time since I stayed
out that late cause it was fouro'clock.
But the place,

Elizabeth (25:25):
just, like, Do what?

Sherreece (25:27):
I said, the place didn't close until like three.
Right.
So.

Elizabeth (25:30):
although they quit like serving us at But not just
us but like everyone like theystart shutting down like 30
minutes before they close Butit's that kind of place that you
don't want to linger anyway, butyeah Because we stayed outside
for like almost an hour talkingto everybody and I was like, all
right, I'm hitting a wall I'mhitting a wall I thought we were
all hitting a wall and said noSharice and Stan are like, let's

(25:52):
keep playing like I don't knowYou Let's just keep being hyper.
I'm like, uh oh, I've hit awall.

Sherreece (25:58):
First up, we were not hype.
One, you were tired.
Stan now Okay, so Liz likes Stanlikes to talk.
So Stan So Stan met someone andhad something in common.
Both of the guys, they're justtalking, talking, talking.
Liz like It's freaking fouro'clock in the morning.
It's freaking, like, okay, we'regonna leave.

(26:21):
no, I need, I need a I need togo to bed.
I'm like, let's get, let's gether Let's get a

Elizabeth (26:29):
I

Sherreece (26:29):
but yeah, was a

Elizabeth (26:33):
It was a

Sherreece (26:34):
That's the first time I saw you upset.

Elizabeth (26:37):
Well, I wasn't really, like, upset, upset.
I was just

Sherreece (26:40):
It's okay.

Elizabeth (26:41):
maybe to

Sherreece (26:42):
You were upset.

Elizabeth (26:44):
I want to say, you haven't seen me upset then.
That was just, it's late, we'regetting our asses home.
I'm taking both your asses home.
We're going home.
I'm fucking tired.
Like, I can't do this anymore.
It's 4 in the morning.
The sun is coming up in an hour.

Sherreece (26:57):
Then I packed, uh, guys, I a Spend A Night bag,
just in case, going out and wewere going to be out late.
And I took my Spend A Night bagto Liz's house.
And so we are leaving and Uberto Los Angeles.
My hotel.
And I'm like, well, okay.

(27:19):
So I there, and I'm like, wepull and I'm like, well, there's
my spend a night bags at yourhouse.
I don't know why we came here.
And she's like, but you didn'tsay anything.
I'm like, I thought that was theplan.
Like, I thought we knew this.
I thought, know, but all We hada good time.
dropped off.
That one of the nights where Isaw some is outside the hotel
because I straight into thehotel.

(27:39):
Um,

Elizabeth (27:40):
were hype.
What?
I'm just kidding.
north you

Sherreece (27:45):
but yeah, it just was it was, it was a time.
It was you was a time.
It was a

Elizabeth (27:52):
was.

Sherreece (27:53):
some

Elizabeth (27:53):
connect with she's

Sherreece (27:55):
Baltimore

Elizabeth (27:55):
northeast Oh, yeah.

Sherreece (27:59):
from a specific area.
And I feel like, did you ask me,is that like a place you to
visit?
Or like, maybe when we're on thephone with my mom,

Elizabeth (28:09):
Yes That was with your phone with your mom.
You were like, Oh, this east

Sherreece (28:14):
I was like, um, he, he was from Park Heights and
she's like, Oh, is this someone?
I'm like, no.

Elizabeth (28:19):
No.

Sherreece (28:20):
You're not going there.
But that's why he moved toAtlanta.
his life around and he like,Yeah, you know, you move down
here.

Elizabeth (28:27):
Oh, wait.
This was the grill guy.

Sherreece (28:30):
No, no, that was his friend.
Oh, never mind.
Atlanta's You gotta do a lot toget a lot in Atlanta.
I didn't know that until thatnight.

Elizabeth (28:42):
I too.
Can we say that story?
So the guy was talking.
I thought he was the one, butthe red shirt was from
Baltimore.
This guy was the guy in thewhite shirt.
Okay.
We're talking.
And we were all dancing at somepoint and um, He was talking
about grills or something andyou were like, oh i've always
wanted one And then what did hesay?
He was like, well, you're gonna

Sherreece (29:04):
yeah, I was like, um, he was talking and I was like,
well, you have girls and youknow, in a Paul Wall and all
that.
So I'm like, Oh, you have girls.
I always wanted can you get mesome girls?
And I said it just really

Elizabeth (29:14):
yeah, it was really sweet.
It was kind of

Sherreece (29:16):
he was like,

Elizabeth (29:19):
the

Sherreece (29:19):
you, he said, I said, can you give me some girls?
Can I fuck you?

Elizabeth (29:24):
internet

Sherreece (29:27):
yeah was taken back.
I was so far.
connect with someone with Lizsex with you for some teeth.
she hates

Elizabeth (29:36):
said I gotta fuck for some teeth

Sherreece (29:41):
it That is said.
But I was

Elizabeth (29:44):
the quote of the weekend.
I swear to goodness.
I kept repeating it.
I was like you want to fuck forsome teeth

Sherreece (29:51):
said, Atlanta, Atlanta.
time to go, not some grills.
And then he tried to justify whysaid it.
So I do he tried to explain why,why he thought that that was
okay for say.
He basically was like, you know,I asked him for some grills and

(30:12):
though, you know, I'm cool.
Um, I have to give him somethingfor it.
That's basically what he said.
And he was like, you know, my,what my old lady's at home, she
doesn't have to work or this, that, and the third.
I'm like, what does this have todo And then he's like, you know,
so, you know, if I'm seeing you, yeah, you can get some girls,

(30:34):
but you know, I need a littlesomething, something.
I was like, you know what?
Don't worry about it.
Just keep it.
I'm cool.
It's all good.
Oh.
And so teeth, you gotta pay forteeth down there.
Okay.
Um, you have to pay djs to playsongs

Elizabeth (30:51):
I was waiting for that.
We went to, we went to VirginiaHighlands and I took her to Dark
Horse.
One of my girlfriends used tobartend there, so that's why I
went.
She wasn't there obviously, butum, well not that, but we show
up and like the way Dark Horseworks, there's like multiple
layers to the bar.
So we go to the very, very topbar, um, which is called I think
the Warren.

(31:12):
And um, It took it a while forit to finally kind of get
bumping a little bit because wewanted to dance.
But, and we weren't sure aboutthe DJ because she kind of kept
playing like house music andthen she played like hits or
like Dance music, but then yougo back to house music and
you're like, all right, this isnot the vibe.
So we, we were like, we want tohear like a G6 because that's a
fun like get hype song and Cherwent up there and was like, hey,

(31:35):
can I make a recommendation?
They're like, you gonna tip?

Sherreece (31:40):
you gotta um tip her to play your song.
I was like what?
Tip her what?
I mean if you want to hear itwhat?
So see in Baltimore, we don't dothat because we also have, we
are no foul Um, but inBaltimore, you ask someone to
play a song, either they gonnasay, all right, I got you.
And they gonna play it or theygonna fit it in at the end, but

(32:02):
they are not going to say, giveme 10 for it.

Elizabeth (32:04):
no.
No, they're not.

Sherreece (32:07):
I was like, what?
So then, So they, so she playedit right about an hour later,
about an hour later she playedit and she played about good 17
seconds of the song, right?
It

Elizabeth (32:23):
I think it was 16, but yes.

Sherreece (32:26):
very short.
So I come out of the bathroom.
I'm like, cause I hear, I'mlike, Oh, so I come out and the
guy who's with the DJ who toldme I needed to tip, he was
standing at the bar.
So I said, I tapped him on theshoulder.
I said, I see she's playing it.
And he was like, yeah, you got alittle bit of it.
You going to Tampa?
No, I'm not.

(32:47):
Not for 15 seconds of decent.
Girl, go to hell.
No, thank you.
We're good.
We'll dance to other things assoon as you find your rhythm
again.
we'll pick back up.
And we'll work with it.

Elizabeth (33:01):
Yeah, and then we went to Claremont Lounge and we,
um, we lost ourselves.
Or I guess I lost myself.
Cherise found herself.
I'm just

Sherreece (33:10):
There was a lot of motorboating going on.

Elizabeth (33:13):
Yeah, it's a wild, wild experience.
Again, if you've never been toAtlanta, I highly recommend you
go there and when you visitbecause it's, it's worth it.
Like, would you say it was worthit, chair?

Sherreece (33:24):
I will.
I will definitely say it wasworth it.
It was a much needed one friendvacation.
Um, even though you didn'treally get to go anywhere, I
mean, you were home,

Elizabeth (33:33):
But I got to show you everywhere.
That's, that's what matters.

Sherreece (33:36):
yeah, so it was, it was cool that, um, Alayna was a
vibe, like it was very, um, Iguess, I don't want to say like
mixy, but I didn't expect it tokind of be like really diverse.
Everywhere we kind of like

Elizabeth (33:51):
Really?

Sherreece (33:52):
um, yeah, I didn't expect that with Alayna, at all,
like literally everywhere wewent was pretty diverse.
but it was a good time.
It was a good time.
Yeah, I enjoyed myself.
I would definitely come again, hang with you again, weekend it
again, you know,

Elizabeth (34:07):
Walk everywhere again.

Sherreece (34:09):
negative.
Now, now I know how to ride the,I mean, I've rolled those things
before, but now, you know, I gota good, got to just hold on and
just let the wind take you anddon't be afraid and don't wear
flip flops because every time weburied it, I had on flip flops,

Elizabeth (34:26):
I told you to wear walking shoes.
I said, bring walking shoes.
I

Sherreece (34:29):
I did not remember that.
I did not remember that.
And

Elizabeth (34:31):
You said, what should I pack?
I was like, maybe some walkingshoes.

Sherreece (34:35):
I should have took the hint there, huh?
I should have took But um, butyeah, no, definitely not birding
everywhere.
I mean, definitely not walkingeverywhere.
Definitely gonna have a littleside money for birding.
Period.
At least like 150.
Cause

Elizabeth (34:48):
it's so expensive.

Sherreece (34:50):
I'm crazy.
I'm

Elizabeth (34:52):
It was so it was like 10 just to go five minutes.
It was like kind of wild.
I was like shocked.
Um, I have to say I laughed sohard all weekend, like how we're
giggling right now.
That was the entire weekend.
Like we just got along so well, our banter was on point and I
don't know, I just, I laughed sohard.

(35:12):
That was one thing I told Stanafter you left Monday.
I was like, I'm really sad.
I was like, oh my God, like.
I haven't laughed like that insuch a long time.
Just a constant, consistentgiggling.
Like, we were just constantlygetting into, like, not messes,
but like, little things, andyour commentary on everything is
just, honestly, chef's kiss,it's so fucking funny.
And I, I, I just, it was a joy.

(35:34):
It was so much fun.
Um, hopefully I didn't scar youwith the walking, and, or, it's
4 a.
m., bitch, we're going to bed.
But, uh,

Sherreece (35:47):
overdo it.
Um, yeah, no

Elizabeth (35:51):
Yo, I made her ass walk everywhere.
Like she's being really nice.
Like I was like, let's walk

Sherreece (35:57):
Everyone's like, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk,
but your car's right here, walk, walk, walk.
But no, um, I'm glad that weboth enjoyed our time.
I'm glad that we finally likegot to meet each other.
Um, and it worked out because,oh, you know, what if you, you
know, you ever think if you meetsomeone, you ever think if you
meet someone out of town andthen like, imagine if we didn't

(36:20):
mesh And now I'm like stuck inthis city and granted you didn't
have to come back and pick meup, but then that's going to be
weird.
It's like, eh.
Yeah, she just gonna stay, youknow, she just came to atlanta
to stay a weekend in a hotel Icouldn't do that anywhere, but
i'm glad that i'm glad that wedid connect.
I'm glad that it was a genuineand neutral feel Because it

(36:41):
could have it definitely couldhave gone like a different way,
but I think because we had builta relationship beforehand, too
um That it worked out And yeah, and her husband was such a
trooper.
He was such a trooper He prettymuch hung out with a zombie

Elizabeth (36:58):
you.
loves you.
I mean, I won't lie.
So I thought he was going to beout of town this weekend, but I
got it confused with the weekendbefore.
So when I was like, Oh, wait, you're going to be in town for
Cherise.
He's like, well, yeah, like Iwouldn't miss that.
So, yeah, I mean, he is thereason we're friends.
If we really had to give to, andhe definitely let us know that
several times.
Like, y'all wouldn't even befriends

Sherreece (37:19):
He did it.
We have to make sure we give himlike a trophy Especially like,
like every, every, um, friendiversary, you know, we can't, we
stand out.
We got to

Elizabeth (37:30):
exist

Sherreece (37:31):
button or something that says like, number one
connector or, you know, something like that.

Elizabeth (37:39):
What's so funny is for anyone who knows Stan knows
that's not him.
Like, that's like me.
I'm that person.
So that's hysterical that youhave this version of Stan that I
don't think anyone else has.

Sherreece (37:51):
Yeah.
It

Elizabeth (37:52):
Oh God, but it's real though.
I mean, he did.
He connected us, that's forsure.
Um, you, I feel like Sunday, which was like our hangover day,
that's when we were talkinglike, serious, I don't know if I
can sound half dead.
Um, that was like our be lazyand shoot the shit day.
And, I don't know, I was kind ofin a creative funk about some

(38:14):
things, and I feel like, you notjust pulled me out of that, but
it was a, um, I want to sayreminder because I don't think
it was a reminder, but it showedme how important it is to have
creative friends.
And I don't mean to say none ofmy friends are creative.
Of course my friends arecreative, Stan's creative, he
paints, right?

(38:35):
But what I mean is somebody whois like in this with you,
whether they're trying topodcast, whether they're trying
to vlog, whether they're tryingto write movies and film them
and star in them, direct them, all the things like.
Being a creator in the creativespace, online, whatever, it's
really important to have thatbecause, yeah, Stan can help me,
my mom can help me, my friendscan help me, but sometimes I

(38:56):
need someone who's in it, whoknows it, and I feel like that's
what you gave me.
And it was like another reason, another check mark why I really
like appreciate and love ourfriendship and relationship.
And even more so because, because of that connection and
that shared Creativity element, you were able to help get me out
of my, my hole.
So.

(39:16):
I don't know.
It's, it's a good reminder thatmeet your friends on the
Internet.
It's okay.
And, uh, have people in yourcorner in the same circles or
same, same spaces as cause thathelps.
You know, like, we're, we're nothuge yet.
We will one day.
But right now we need all thehelp we can get in terms of
like, Am I doing this right?

(39:37):
Am I crazy?
Like just to, you know, helpremove that imposter syndrome.
So that's one thing else that Ireally, um.
I really appreciate and I'm gladwe got to have that, even if we
were very hungover and did notget our recording done.

Sherreece (39:52):
You helped me as well.
And it is very important.
I do agree.
It's important, just like yousaid, to have friends who are
also creative.
Because, like you said, it's adifferent understanding.
different understanding.
A different look, um, into what,um, Challenges may arise too,

(40:12):
you know, like you said withblogging or writing or speech or
coming up with the idea What totalk about it's different from
asking family and friends whohave no interest in it one Um
and always see it from theoutside looking Am I saying
that?
Yeah, the outside looking in,you know, they can give you a
little bit of pointers here andthere, but the pointers won't

(40:32):
even be, sometimes they're noteven relatable to the space that
you're in.
They'll go far left with advicethat you're like, you.
But, you know, so, um, I'm gladthat I could do that for you.
And I'm glad that you helped meout as well.
Like I mentioned earlier, youdefinitely, you know, I have
pulled some of your suggestionsfrom my And I have implemented

(40:56):
them because it made sense likeyou helped me to realize too
that even though You know, Iwrote this that screenplay in
like maybe a week and a half andI and I wrote it quick, but When
to have someone who willactually sit down and read 27
pages, I think it was

Elizabeth (41:17):
I think it was like 27, something like

Sherreece (41:18):
yeah Read all of this That you know like on a sunday
after being hungover.
It's like she said in her suddenlittle corner.
She's Now before I write inthis, I like is it okay?
Yeah, like do it So you needfriends like that because yes,
please help me like help me ifyou can I and I don't think
anything is wrong with that Andif anyone ever told you that

(41:40):
it's weird to meet friends onthe internet that's because
they're afraid to do somethinglike that and they're too
comfortable in their own bubblesbecause the world is about
Meeting people, period, like, you know, it's okay to step out
of your, your, your box, or yourcircle, or your city, and try
something different, and youknow, hopefully just pray for
the best, or wish for the best, whatever, your thing is, then

(42:03):
when you do go visit someone, cause you know, land in a but,
when you go visit them, youwon't be trafficked, you won't
be kidnapped, you'll come homein one piece, it's life, you,
the universe is, you know,

Elizabeth (42:14):
well I ain't gonna let that happen to you girl.

Sherreece (42:17):
Well, I can find it.

Elizabeth (42:18):
to you

Sherreece (42:19):
So,

Elizabeth (42:21):
it's so true and like I don't know I it's fun It's
funny We're talking about thisbecause I feel like in the past
couple of months or so onepisodes like I have referenced
meeting friends on the interneta lot Or at least I think I have
it feels like I'm talking tosomebody about it probably
myself And you know I It's notweird in my opinion.

(42:43):
Plus like we are 30, you know,like we're like, I'm 33.
You're 33, right?
Like we are busy.
We have shit going on.
I can't just go like to everysocial situation or social
hangout to meet people.
Honestly, I think it's easier tomeet people on the internet
because then I like I can, oh,you're podcasters.
So I already know that you're ina space that I would like to,
you know, explore more of.

(43:04):
Um, like, I know Cherise alreadytalked about this, but yeah,
Like, don't just meet someone, message, and then like, oh,
let's get together.
No, like you should, you shouldcall beforehand.
Like we had a couple ofFaceTimes.
Um, I mean, we've been friendsfor like a year and a half now,
like texting.
We talk on the phone every oncein a while.
Like we, we connect, like, Ifeel like maybe I don't know

(43:24):
everything in your life, but Iknow a lot.
I feel like I know the bigthings and same here with

Sherreece (43:30):
things together.
past few years, we've definitelybeen through some things
together.
we've had some trials andtribulations.
Um, and you know, and supportingeach other through those things.
like, you know, I, I think youcan, I think people think too
hard about things like you onlycan be there how you can and how

(43:50):
you show up.
And I think that real friendsand real creatives, whether it's
with personal, with work, they'll understand that.
And if anyone, you know, feelslike you aren't like really
showing up like you should, whether it's a friend you met on
the internet or your friend thatyou've been friends with since
you were 11, speak up, we'regrown, we're, you know, we're in
our thirties.
So.
I think that you have definitelybeen a great friend.

(44:11):
She sent me flowers forgraduation we didn't meet yet.
This was like, what about threeyears ago?
earlier this month, no, lastmonth.
Yeah.
So over a month ago.
And you didn't have to do that.
Like even though we've beenfriends, so when she's like, I'm
sending you something like what?
And they

Elizabeth (44:29):
Well, I knew how much of a big deal it was for you.
Like, I knew, like, your journeyand, like, all the things and I
was like, this is such a bigaccomplishment.
I want to make sure you feel so,like, so, so beautiful, so high
on your pedestal, so worthy ofhow proud you should be.
That's all.

Sherreece (44:45):
And I did.
And I really needed that becauselike you said, it was, it's been
a long little road, you know, things have happened.
Um, for both of us that.
are a lot and um, and I reallydid appreciate that's why I made
sure I brought you a birthday

Elizabeth (45:00):
Which are these little cute glasses.
I actually like them becausethey make this, like, halo light
not near as bright.
So, I feel like, as I notice,um, some of the recordings I'll
do, I'll be like this.
And I'm like, ooh, I mean, butthese, I'm like, ooh, I can make
my eyeballs very bright and youcan see them.
That's nice.
So,

Sherreece (45:19):
yeah, it was a good time.
I'm glad

Elizabeth (45:22):
So, Giggles, Online Friends, and Creative Spaces.
That is our three, um, ourthree, I guess, things.
Yeah, great word choice.
Our three things of thisepisode.
That and you gotta do some crazythings with some things around
Atlanta, apparently.
But, uh.

Sherreece (45:40):
absolutely.

Elizabeth (45:41):
And don't order mayonnaise on a cheesesteak down

Sherreece (45:43):
Yeah, no, just get it on the side.

Elizabeth (45:46):
no, seriously.
So, um, a little transitioning alittle bit, um, off of the
Atlanta subject before we finishthis episode, you know, we
talked about how you wear many, many hats in the creative space.
And part of that is also liketrying different things out.
And I feel like being open to.
Whatever door opportunity maymay present itself.
And I was just, you know, do youwant to share or just, you know,

(46:10):
what's next for Sherry's?
What are you?
You talked about going to theNew York Film Academy.
And then also, like, what hasbrought you to this path?

Sherreece (46:19):
honestly, I don't know is, I mean, I know what's
next for me.
Like what's next for me is me.
It's for me to, like, I seemyself like on this path of
getting to actually work intelevision and film.
So I know that that's, I guesswhat's next you know, I used to
have an event, I used to have anevent production company.

(46:41):
Um, I had a bartending company.
I taught classes and taughtpeople how to make, you know,
cocktails.
And I also bartend at specialevents and things like that.
I have interviewed celebrities.
so I guess I was kind of like ajournalist at some point too.

Elizabeth (46:55):
Well, you've earned even more hats, my thought.

Sherreece (46:57):
yeah, I've, I've done that and I didn't find that joy
in doing those things.
Now the interviewing pool.
Cause you get to meet people, but I didn't find joy in it as
much as I found joy in acting.
Like I've been in feature films.
I've been in house of cards, better than a movie called
battle, better living throughchemistry.
If you've ever seen it, uh, Ihave numerous plays throughout

(47:20):
BC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, uh,went to acting school, went to
the Baltimore school of thearts.
So I play the trumpet, you know,I play softball.
I've been playing trumpet sincethe third grade.
I played a snare drum.

Elizabeth (47:34):
You do

Sherreece (47:34):
I played dress.
Um, and a lot of people don'tknow that, but I haven't, I
didn't find joy in all of thosethings.
The only things I found joy inwas entertaining.
So I've been in and out ofentertainment, entertainment for
like the last 20 years.
Um, and I hate saying, don't dothat, we're podcasters, but I've
been in and out of entertainmentfor the last.

(47:57):
20 odd years.
Now I'm getting back intoacting.
I've been doing standup and I'vebeen writing my own work, my own
screenplays and films and webseries because I have more than
just what I finished, butthat's, that's my, that's my
happy.
Entertaining film, making thingscome to life.

(48:19):
That's my happy.
Even with portraying characters, that's my happy.
Challenging myself to do thosethings.
So that's what I see.
I see me being some badass, youknow, producer slash writer,
maybe even a director becauseyou can be all of those things.

(48:39):
I want people to call me andsay, Hey, I mean, I want to be
like, how'd you get this number?
Cause I can't wait till I cansee that.
How'd you get this number?
Who is this?
Yeah.
Well, someone, you know, referring me to you, or I got
your number from, Oh, I wasabout to say P Diddy.
Oh no, not P Diddy.
I didn't my house.
But I got your number from, Idon't know, Steven Spielberg.

(49:01):
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
I know you, you, you can make mea Transformer 14.
Yeah.
And I'll make it dope, you know, but that's what I see.
That's what I see for myself.
That's what I want to do.
That's where I want to be.
And I'm going to get I'm goingto get there.
So I'll travel to atlanta Forsome jobs.
I heard, you know hotlanta Shetold me not to call it that but

(49:24):
I heard that you know It's a lotof production happening in
hotlanta, but you also have tobe careful, with like, you know
what people you work with inproduction, It's a good place.
I mean you guys are alwaysfilming you have studios there
and So yeah, if anyone'slistening, please reach out if
you want to see what I can doyou want to see my portfolio?
You That i'm putting together Myanger right today.

(49:45):
We want to read the scripts.
What do you want to act?
If you want to come to baltimoreand be in this web series,
please

Elizabeth (49:52):
I wish I could.
Next time you come down, we'll,we'll go tour the movie studios.
That's the one thing I failed todo for you.
But in my defense, a lot of themare like not in Atlanta.
I mean, Tyler Perry is, but it'sstill kind of like not in the
city But we'll go visit that andwe'll visit Trillith because
that's like the big, big onewhere a lot of the That's what
the sound stages are.

(50:13):
we'll do them.
I love your creativeentrepreneurial spirit.
I feel like that's anotherreason why we connect is the
belief that we can and theknowing that we will.

Sherreece (50:22):
absolutely.
Absolutely.
It's the only way to be

Elizabeth (50:26):
I'm on a humble brag.
I was like, that was good.

Sherreece (50:28):
that's what sets us apart from everyone else.
That's what sets creatives apartfrom everyone else It's the will
Knowing that you can, knowingthat you will, and actually just
continuing to work toward it,towards it, like literally,
that's how, watch the McDonald'ssheesh, no one believed in what
that man was he was trying tosell what, uh, selling something

(50:52):
to restaurants for a minute, andeveryone was like, we don't want
that, and he, you know, came upwith that idea, changing
McDonald's around, and didn'twant that, and he took over
McDonald's, I He made

Elizabeth (51:04):
like a franchisee or something and he like franchised
him and he ended up being theguy that took over it.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Sherreece (51:11):
because he did not quit.
didn't quit.
He was like, I think one of thequotes that he says, one of my
favorite quotes and I can't evenremember it, can't remember it,
but think it is the note, I'mgonna, go ahead and talk, I'm
gonna look at my notes Is it saymy notes?

Elizabeth (51:26):
I was going to say, I feel like this theme is like
starting to become a little, um,really relevant to my personal
needs at the moment.
Like not giving up andcontinuing to fight, continuing
to claim and to believe inyourself above all else.
Like this isn't the end.
This isn't a no, this isn't adoor closed.
It's just a pivot.
It's just a let me just keep, keep at it because I know it's

(51:48):
going to happen for I, uh, what?

Sherreece (51:53):
no, like I have like a whole, a whole thing of notes,
uh, about this movie andtakeaways.

Elizabeth (52:01):
Oh my god, yeah you do.
Wow, that's some paragraphs.
Oh my gosh.

Sherreece (52:05):
Cause that's the guy who took, um, the McDonald's
franchise over and made abillion dollar company Ray Kroc.
so I found it, which is like, wait a minute, I have so many,
you know, notes on this, butthis is the, this is the quote,
man, can I share this Nothing ismore common than unsuccessful

(52:26):
men with talent.
Persistence and determinationalone are more That's what he So
nothing is more common thanunsuccessful men with talent.
Those are the people who goafter, they have all the talent,
but they don't put in that workand they give up too easily and
they don't realize that ittakes, it may take may

Elizabeth (52:48):
god, yes.

Sherreece (52:50):
they, these people who are the successful ones,
they don't give up.
Persistence and determinationalone are more powerful.
Persistence and determinationthat keeps you going.
That's how you get to where youwanna be.
Once you lose that, well, youmight as well just go ahead and
dip the fries in the grease youknow, no puns.

(53:11):
You, whoever you know, works atMcDonald's.
I love it, but you know, be amanager,

Elizabeth (53:17):
Well, I was going to say, you don't let one note turn
you away.
You don't let one bad recordingmake you stop.
You don't let one person'snegative opinion influence your
entire self worth.
And sometimes that's easier saidthan done.

Sherreece (53:33):
you, don't let 15 nose turn you away either,

Elizabeth (53:35):
Hell yeah, that's, I'm dealing with that right now.
I am dealing with that.
But that's why having people inyour corner that you connect
with on so many differentlevels, but especially like,
like for us, I'll speak to theniche that we're talking about,
the creative, you know, endeavor, creative world, the
creative life.
Have those people, because inthose moments, when you get

(53:56):
those 14 no's and then damn, youget that 15th, no, it's gonna be
a quote like that, that you'relike, shit, I needed to hear
that.
Thank you for that Because like,I don't know.
You are by yourself out here, essentially, it's you, yourself,
and you, so find people thatmake it a little less lonely,
lonely.
Find people that make it alittle less lonely be a better

(54:17):
version of you like, help seewhat everyone else sees your
art, whatever that is.
Because we always need that Butthank you for sharing that
quote.
That was, um, I needed to hearthat today.
So, thank you for that.
See, that quote alone is why wedidn't record when we were going
to record.
Because we wouldn't have hadthat epic wisdom, you know?

(54:38):
We would've just been like,Yeah, so did you have a good
time last night?
Yeah, Lizzie, you were a dick.
Da da da da da.

Sherreece (54:47):
You were pretty though.
You were pretty, Nick.
You were cute.

Elizabeth (54:52):
In my defense, it was great all night until I was
like, I've hit a wall, it's timeto go to bed.

Sherreece (54:57):
So, don't allow Lizzie to hit walls.

Elizabeth (55:00):
And last thing in my defense, we hung out for like an
hour outside after it closed.
So I think I was justified inbeing like, Okay children, it's
time to go.

Sherreece (55:11):
That was Stan's fault.
I was only talking because hekept talking.
But yeah, it was definitely

Elizabeth (55:19):
God, I'm dead.

Sherreece (55:21):
Until, I can't, oh my gosh, you keep saying it wrong.
You're like, I'm

Elizabeth (55:28):
What am I saying?
How am I saying you're hung?

Sherreece (55:30):
Ugly, make it rugged.
Like, you gotta be like, I'mcrying.
Of like,

Elizabeth (55:34):
I'm

Sherreece (55:34):
when you just, oh my god,

Elizabeth (55:37):
It sounds, it does sound very southern, so I will
give you that.

Sherreece (55:43):
does.
But like, it's, well like, I'mcrying.
Like, if it's funny, like rightnow, like you have me crying
your ass off.
But I'm trying to work on notsaying that.
Because, unfortunately, I'm justgonna share this really quick,
my, um, my godmother was talkingto my mom on the said, um, yeah,

(56:05):
Sharice is always in herecrying.
She always, she's always crying, that's what she says, I'm
crying, and she's not evenfucking crying.
So I'm gonna

Elizabeth (56:18):
She's crying wolf.

Sherreece (56:20):
gonna try to like chill on, you know, saying
crying.
but yeah, I'm gonna chill on it.
I'm not gonna, gonna say it asmuch.

Elizabeth (56:28):
Well,

Sherreece (56:29):
Yeah, I can't wait for you to come down

Elizabeth (56:32):
we were already like talking about what we're going
to do.
So I

Sherreece (56:35):
to walk and have some

Elizabeth (56:38):
Well, where find

Sherreece (56:41):
