Summary
Set during the twilight of the High Republic era, roughly 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, the story follows a seasoned Jedi Master investigating a series of unsettling crimes. This investigation leads him to confront a powerful warrior from his past, who could be a former Padawan learner. As they delve deeper, they uncover a web of dark secrets and sinister forces threatening the stability of the Jedi Order and the Republic itself.

Summary
The Spengler family heads back to the familiar New York firehouse, headquarters for the original Ghostbusters who’ve been busy creating a high-tech ghost-hunting lab. However, their work is interrupted when an ancient artifact is discovered, unleashing a wave of ghostly foes and plunging the city into a dangerous winter chill. The rookie Ghostbusters and the veterans must combine their talents to save the world from a second Ice Age.

Production Notes
This is the fifth installment in the Ghostbusters franchise, and the first since the death of director Ivan Reitman who receives a posthumous credit as a producer. The film is also a dedication to his memory and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters movie. The film premiered on March 14, 2024, and was widely released on March 22nd.
