Moms feel frustrated at times by the invisible emotional labor of motherhood; weighed down by a heaviness that comes with managing the emotions of other people in their family along with performing hundreds of tiny tasks and chores that keep the household running.

This kind of repetitive, under-acknowledged labor can be as simple as noticing when the dishwasher needs emptying or remembering to buy your child's favorite kind of peanut butter because you saw the jar was nearly empty.

It can be recognizing that your child is exhausted or had a hard day, and needs to talk about it on the drive home from school.

It might look like breaking up an argument between two siblings and mediating between them; but then needing to manage your own emotions later in the evening because you're exhausted after dealing with their big emotions all day.

In this week's podcast episode, host and certified life coach Andrea Morton digs into this important topic and then provides several concrete, actionable strategies to help parents lift & balance the weight of their emotional labor.

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
