This episode focuses on reiterating this inner child/pain body dynamic and the way in which the ego reinforces and protects both, perpetuates old conditioned thought patterns and, therefore; controls the way you react to the stimuli around you. This cycle will likely keep you feeling like growth is impossible, but it is also very difficult to understand and change. I also discuss the ways in which the inner child/pain body and ego may manifest in unhealed people you know or may come into contact with at one point or another, and what this actually looks like so you are able to recognize it. This is so important because as you all navigate life in this ever globalizing world with society's unrealistic expectations of how you should all be living your lives including how you should look shoved in your faces around every corner, it is imperative that you all learn to be completely unbothered by the perceptions of what others think of you, what they believe to be true about you as well as what they say about you - because it has NOTHING to do with you and everything to do with them and their inner child/pain body and their ego. Understanding this powerful dynamic and how it effectively controls your entire life is something I struggled with truly conceptualizing for a very long time as I was navigating my way through trauma and old paradigms on my own journey back to self and I hope for those of you who listen and have also struggled, things start to click.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage
Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
