It’s been a while since Kristen has given an update, and a lot has changed. She’s usually the one sharing stories of client successes and business wins, but today, she’s turning the focus inward. The past year has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, forcing her to confront burnout, grapple with a loss of identity, and ultimately make a massive pivot.

Kristen began noticing changes in her business long before she was ready to acknowledge them. She was seeing incredible transformations with her clients—families healing, individuals gaining clarity. It was the kind of impact she had dreamed of making. Yet, she found herself questioning, “Is this enough? What is this doing for my business?”

What started as a quiet discomfort grew into full-blown burnout—a complete breakdown she never saw coming. For a while, Kristen did what most of us do—she kept going, pretending everything was fine. She didn’t want anyone to see that she was struggling.

This pivot isn’t just about business; it’s personal. Kristen realized that the burnout, the breakdown, was her body’s way of telling her she was living out of alignment. She started focusing on her mental health, her family, and her own wellbeing. She’s learning to redefine success.

If you’re feeling that pull, that sense that something needs to change, you’re not alone. Kristen’s journey is proof that it’s okay to pivot, to step back, and to realign with what truly matters. Stay tuned for part two.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
