Join me, your host, Jay Lane,on The Laneway to Spirit, as I
share my stories and personalexperiences in the hopes of
inspiring others to exploretheir own spirituality.

(00:22):
Grab your favorite mug andsettle in and let's get started.
Ever take a photo and there'ssomething weird in it, like an
orb of light or a strange shape?
Well, I think cameras can pickup images of spirits or energies

(00:46):
that we can't see with our owneyes.
The idea is that spirits orsupernatural entities might give
off light or energy atfrequencies that we can't
normally perceive, but camerashave a wider range of detection
for different types of light andradiation, so they might be
able to see and record thesesubtle traces of spiritual

(01:09):
activity.
That's why sometimes you getthose weird orbs, streaks or
hazy shapes in photos, and somepeople think that's evidence of
ghostly presence that the cameramanaged to capture, even if we
can't see it directly.
Presence that the cameramanaged to capture, even if we

(01:29):
can't see it directly Now.
Years ago I was looking to finda home for my late mother's
curio cabinet.
I didn't have much space for itmyself, but I really wanted to
keep it in the family, so Ireached out to my entire family
my nieces, my nephews, mybrothers to see if anyone could
take it, but everyone said theydidn't have the room for it.
Since I couldn't keep it in thefamily, I decided to do the

(01:52):
next best thing.
My mother was such a generousperson, so I decided to give the
cabinet to someone in need whoI felt would cherish it.
That way it would go to a good, good home, just like my mom
would have wanted.
I decided to post an ad onFacebook marketplace asking

(02:12):
people who needed the cabinetand why and how they would take
care of it, and I knew mymother's spirit would guide me
in finding the perfect person.
Before posting it, I emptiedthe curio cabinet, I cleaned it
and the glass and I polished itto perfection.
I also took lots of photos fromevery angle to get the best one

(02:35):
to include in the ad.
And after I posted the ad, Igot a bunch of inquiries.
I think over a hundred peopleresponded, but it seemed like
most of them just wanted thecabinet to resell it for a
profit.
Then one morning, while I washaving my tea, I felt like my
mother was trying to tell mesomething.

(02:56):
So I checked my marketplaceemails and out of all the
responses one really stood outto me like it was calling my
name, and I opened the email andI read this really moving story
.
It was about a woman who hadthe courage to rebuild her life
after escaping an abusiverelationship.

(03:16):
She sent photos of her newapartment the perfect spot for
the cabinet and the woman alsoshared what she had planned to
put in the cabinet, whichincluded mementos of her late
loved ones.
After reading her story, Iimmediately reached out and got
her phone number.
When we spoke I could feel inmy heart that she was the right

(03:38):
person to receive my mother'scabinet.
So the next day she came overwith her friend to pick it up
and we both got so emotional.
But she was really grateful andI could feel the joy and
appreciation of what I had givenher and I knew she was going to
take great care of it.
A few months went by and Idecided to clear out some old

(03:59):
photos from my phone.
I didn't think much of it.
The cabinet photos were justtaking up space, so I deleted
them.
So about a year had passedsince I last logged into my
iCloud account online.
I was on my PC, which has thisreally big screen that I use for
my Zoom meetings, and as I wasscrolling through the photos

(04:21):
saved in the cloud, I noticedthat the photos from the cabinet
were there too.
I remembered that even though Ideleted those photos on my
phone, icloud had saved a copy.
So I started going through themone by one, and I was deleting
them when I noticed somethingreally strange.
On the left side of one of thephotos of the cabinet there was

(04:43):
some kind of shadow.
At first I just thought itmight be the cabinet itself, but
when I looked closer I noticedthe outline of what seemed to be
a person.
I zoomed in on the photo a bitmore and I was shocked at what I
saw the outline of my motherpeering into the cabinet with my

(05:05):
father's mother, yvonne, bothof them deceased.
Out of all the pictures I hadtaken, this was the only one
with this ghostly image.
I decided to send it to mybrother for his opinion,
wondering what he'd think hewrote back saying I'd done a
great job photoshopping thepicture.

(05:26):
But I hadn't photoshoppedanything.
It was a spirit photo bomb.
There was my mom looking up atthe cabinet with a smile as if
she was happy with how it looked.
My grandmother and mom worethose retro cat eye glasses from
the 50s in the photo.
Though I no longer owned thecabinet, I know my mother was

(05:49):
pleased that I'd given it tosomeone who would treasure it as
she had the photo bombed imagemay just show a cabinet, but I
could clearly see my mom and mygrandmother there, a cherished
moment I'll always keep.
Which brings me to another storyof my son, who shared a ring
camera video with me.

(06:09):
The video showed a man who hadbeen alerted by his doorbell at
2 am, but there was no one there.
My son mentioned seeing an orbon the footage and asked if I
could make sense of it or feelanything around it.
So I told him I'd take a look.
When I reviewed the video on mycomputer's larger screen, I

(06:32):
noticed the orb seemed to havesomething inside a kind of
shadow.
So I took a closer look at thefootage on my PC.
I saw an orb floating in frontof the door, then a man in his
pajamas answering the door notjust once but twice, all within
a few minutes.
The orb seemed to be rotatingin a full circle, but it was

(06:55):
clear, the man couldn't see whatthe camera had captured so
vividly, which was that floatingorb.
I captured a still image of theorb and when I zoomed in I could
clearly see the face of amiddle-aged man.
He had dark hair, really thickeyebrows and a distinct

(07:17):
upside-down U-shaped mustacheand wore black horn-rimmed
glasses.
I also sensed the number 22held significance for him, which
in my experience could meanFebruary 2nd or February 20th.
So I called my son and I askedabout the security camera

(07:37):
footage and he told me it wasfrom a co-worker who had shown
him the orb floating by his door, but that the co-worker had
never actually seen anythinguntil checking the camera
footage.
I asked him about his fatherand if he had passed.
Did his dad have dark hair, abig U-shaped upside-down

(07:58):
mustache, you know, wearingglasses with thick rims?
Was February 2nd or February20th a significant date for him?
And I also sent him theclose-up screenshot that I had
taken of the orb and the photoshowed him very clearly.
He said he'd get back to me ina couple of days.
He wasn't working with hisco-worker for a while and didn't

(08:22):
know him well enough to callhim at home.
He also wasn't sure how openhis colleague would be about
sharing personal information.
Plus, he didn't think hiscolleague believed in mediums,
so he had to be careful about it.
About a week later, my soncalled me back and had some
surprising news to share.

(08:42):
He was extremely excited as hetold me that his co-worker's
father had passed away aboutfive years ago, on February 20th
.
To my astonishment, he evensent me a photo of the obituary.
When I looked at the photo, Icouldn't believe my eyes.
The man in the picture was thespitting image of the person in

(09:07):
the still shot that I'd captured.
He was a middle-aged man withdark hair, thick eyebrows,
arm-rimmed glasses and adistinctive upside-down U-shaped
mustache.
I sat there in shock.
I was unable to process theincredible coincidence.
My son was just as stunned as Iwas by this unexpected

(09:32):
discovery.
My son had shown his co-workera photo of the orb and it was
clear that his father's spirithad triggered the doorbell's
motion sensor.
His father was visiting him andalthough the man had never
believed in the paranormal ormediums, he couldn't deny that

(09:52):
this was a photo of his deceasedfather, who had manifested
himself as a visiting orb.
This was the energy that hadset off the ring camera.
So if you're wondering if anyspirits have photo bombed, you
take a close look at your photos.
You never know what kind ofotherworldly stuff they might

(10:16):
have captured or who's visitingyou.
I hope you have an absolutelybeautiful week ahead and until
next time, we'll talk to youagain real soon.
Bye, bye.
Thanks for listening in.
