(00:22):
Grab your favorite mug andsettle in and let's get started.
Hello and welcome to Laneway toSpirit.
You know I'm so excited to talkabout this subject today

(00:43):
because it's something I thinkthat maybe some of you have
experienced at one point in yourlife, and it's something that
still has an effect on me tothis day Now.
Many years ago, I was off workdue to a serious medical
condition that I had and I wasstarting to feel like a regular

(01:04):
at the doctor's office.
You know, it becomes a fulltime job when you're always
going, but I was particularlyexcited because I knew I was
coming to the end of thatmedical and I knew that I was
going to be returning to worksoon and that my next doctor's
appointment would be to talkabout that.
And so when I got there I wasexcited.

(01:26):
But when I saw the number ofpeople in the waiting area, I
wasn't so excited, because Iknew I would be waiting at least
two hours to see him.
And so you know you're sittingthere and you watch people come
in and come out of the office.
Well, this one lady came intothe office and she presented
herself to the reception areaand gave her health card info

(01:49):
and everything else.
But I felt so drawn to her andof course she came and sat right
beside me and I could feel herenergy.
She was so agitated and as anempath I tend to take that on so
I started feeling very agitatedand so I thought to myself that

(02:09):
I really needed to calm downand I looked at her and I smiled
, thinking and hoping that mysmile would at least make her
feel more relaxed.
But she was a bundle of nervesand she started to talk and a
huge floodgate of nervousnesspoured from her and she started
talking about how she drove fromKarchi and that there was black

(02:33):
ice on the roads and she didn'tlike traveling from there and
it took her over an hour to getto the doctor's office and that
she had rushed around allmorning not wanting to be late
for her appointment.
But now she was starting torealize the same thing that I
did when I walked in there andthat she'd be there for at least
a couple hours before beingseen, and so she asked me why I

(02:57):
was there.
So I told her a bit about mymedical issues, and then she
started talking a hundred milesan hour about her husband dying
and that he only had a fewmonths left to live.
I could see the despair in hereyes, and she was telling me
that the reason why she was atthe doctors was because she

(03:17):
didn't want to show her weaknessin front of her husband and was
holding on to all of theseemotions.
And so when she spoke to me, Icould see beside her what
appeared to be a spirit of a manwho was accompanying her, and
in my mind's eye and inside ofmy soul, I could feel this

(03:40):
energy start to talk to me, andhe started telling me his name
was George, and the man that waswith him had this great, big,
huge, animated mustache, andthey asked me to help her.
They asked me to give her goodenergy, and so after I listened
to her talk, it was really kindof hard to get a word in

(04:02):
edgewise, but I finally startedto tell her that I did angel
card readings and that I was offwork and that I was just
practicing how to use them andthat if she was stressed out or
she needed some time to herself, that I would be so happy, so
happy to do an angel cardreading for her and that we
could both have tea and justrelax and chat.

(04:24):
And she was really excited tohear about that and thanked me
for the offer.
But she said that she couldn'treally afford it.
She had been off work becauseof her husband and I told her
that I wasn't going to chargeher anything because of course I
was just practicing.
And so I took a piece of paperout of my purse and I wrote down
my name and my phone number andI said listen, just give me a

(04:48):
call when you're ready.
And she says, well, it may notbe for a while, but I may take
you up on it.
So she thanked me and finally Igot called into the doctor's
office and when I returned tothe reception area after my
appointment she wasn't thereanymore.
So I left and I went home.
So months later I returned towork and my life seemed to

(05:10):
finally get back to normal and Iwas really happy about that.
And so I'd started doingreadings part-time on Tuesday
and Thursday evenings and I hadthis client by the name of Derek
would come to see me.
I had picked up that there hadbeen some family issues that
needed to be settled out ofprovince and I felt drawn

(05:30):
westwards for some reason.
And when I talked to him aboutit I really encouraged him to
make amends with his wife'sfamily and to bring her ashes
there so that they could have aservice and bury her in their
family plot.
And he agreed.
He said it was finally time tobury the hatchet, and if that's

(05:51):
what his wife's spirit felt thatneeded to be done, then that's
how he would resolve thisdispute that they were having.
And he seemed to really findsome peace in making that
decision.
And so he left and I didn't seehim again until a couple months
after that.
And when I saw him again heseemed so happy to see me and he

(06:11):
couldn't wait to tell me allabout his visit to his wife's
family out west and that theyhad the most beautiful and
heartfelt celebration of life inher honor.
And so I was really happy tohear that news when suddenly I
felt the presence of a malevisitor asking for Derek and

(06:31):
asking Derek for a favor.
And so I said to Derek.
I said I have this male and Ithink his name is Mike and he
says he's your neighbor and he'scalling out to you and he says
well, jay.
He says I don't have a neighborby the name of Mike, let alone
a dead neighbor by the name ofMike.
And so I told him that Mike wasinsistent on telling him that

(06:55):
his wife, who lived next door, was not doing so well and she
was having difficultiesadjusting.
Derek says I have no clue whatyou're talking about, jay.
And I kept on talking to him, despite the fact that he was
telling me that, and I wastelling him that she was a tiny
woman who had just dyed her hairblonde not long ago and that

(07:19):
she needed to get some rest, sheneeded to eat more and she was
going to be okay, and that hewas watching over her.
But the message to her was thathe had promised to give her a
sign that he had finally made itto the other side, and this was
the sign.
It was me telling him this.
To pass along the message toher, I gave him a piece of paper

(07:40):
and I wrote my name, jay, withmy phone number on it, and I put
it in his shirt pocket beforehe left.
He left and he said, okay, I'llplay the game, jay.
And he left, chuckling tohimself, said, around 1130 that
night we receive a phone calland so Brad answers the phone
and he said to the person on theother line that I was sleeping,

(08:03):
but I notion to him that I wasawake and to pass over the phone
because I thought it could bean emergency.
And guess who it was?
It was Derek calling.
And I said Derek, why are youcalling me so late, are you okay
?
And he said oh, my freaking God, jay, are you sitting down?
And I said to him I wassleeping.
What's going on?

(08:25):
He told me that he had things todo after he left my place and
that he had visited a fewfriends and that he went out for
dinner before he got home.
He said that he had goneoutside around 11 o'clock to
take out the trash because thecity picked up in his
neighborhood at 7 am.
And he said that while he wasoutside there was a young lady

(08:45):
who approached him and saidexcuse me, sir, is this where
you take the garbage out in thisneighborhood at this time?
And he responded that he tookout his garbage at night because
he always missed the 7 am run.
He encouraged her to put thegarbage in bins because the dogs
up the road always made a messof the garbage.
And then he asked her who shewas because he said he had never

(09:08):
seen her before.
And then she responded oh, I'mso sorry, I'm your new neighbor.
Maybe you didn't recognize mebecause I was a brunette until a
couple of days ago.
I just dyed my hair blonde.
I moved here a few weeks ago,but I guess you were away.
He said yes, and he says Jay,my jaw dropped.

(09:29):
He says I told her I went outto a funeral out West, shocked.
He continued to tell me thestory and he told me that he
asked in his blunt mannerism ifshe had a dead husband by the
name of Mike, and he said thatthe look on her face was
absolute shock.
He continued asking if he haddied of cancer.

(09:52):
He told me she was stunned anddidn't know what to say.
He told her to stay put andthat he had something for her.
He rushed back into his houseand came back out and he handed
her a piece of paper and said toher that he had visited a
medium by the name of Jay andthat while he was there, a

(10:12):
spirit by the name of Mike had amessage for a woman who was his
neighbor and that her hair wasblonde.
But he didn't know what she wastalking about.
He said that Mike had a messagefor his wife and that he had
promised to tell her when he gotsafely to heaven.
As she unfolded the piece ofpaper and read it, she began to

(10:34):
cry.
She told him to stay there fora moment as she rushed into her
home.
She came back a few minuteslater and in her hands was a
piece of paper.
Later, and in her hands was apiece of paper.
On that piece of paper was myname and my phone number and the
note that I had given her atthe doctor's office months
before.
She explained to Derek that shehad met me at the doctor's

(10:57):
office while her husband wassick and that I had offered her
a reading to help her during herstressful time.
After Derek and I talked, hesaid that she'd be in touch with
me.
She did contact me and she didcome over and I immediately
recognized her as being thelittle nervous woman from the

(11:18):
doctor's office and we huggedand we cried and, of course,
when talking about what hadhappened, I asked her who George
was, and the man with the bigmustache telling her that these
were the spirits responsible forthe intervention oh my God, she
said, and she started to crysome more.
She told me that George was herfather, who had passed away 23

(11:42):
years earlier, and the man withthe thick mustache was her
brother, mark, who had recentlypassed away.
After filling in all the blanksabout who these people were,
she told me that the love of herlife, mike, had passed away a
couple of months after I hadseen her at the doctor's office
and that she had moved toSudbury from Karchi because it

(12:03):
was easier for her to travel, and especially during the winter
months.
So we talked about how ironicit was that she had moved beside
my client and how her deceasedhusband connected to him to get
a message through to her, andhow her father and brother made
sure that I offered her somecomfort during her difficult

(12:26):
time.
I have to tell you it was thegreatest experience of spirit
intervention that I've ever had.
I want to thank you all so muchfor listening in today.
I love you guys all so much anduntil next time we'll see you
real soon.
Bye-bye.
