Hello and welcome to TheLaneway to Spirit.
(00:54):
I'm so happy to be here to talkabout a subject that totally
freaks me out.
I have to be honest, it does.
It's something that has had agreat effect on me and it's
something that I was hugeskeptic about.
And yes, I'm a psychic mediumand a lot of people out there
think that psychic mediums aresupposed to believe in
everything unknown andparanormal and unexplainable.
But I don't believe ineverything, and reincarnation
(01:16):
was one of the things that I didnot believe in until just a few
years ago, and although I dotalk about it because I've
learned about it, I never reallybelieved in it.
Like, do you believe in that?
I mean, it's really a conceptof rebirth of a soul, a spirit
into a new body after death, right?
So it's like you're coming backinto a brand new body.
(01:38):
And this idea of an eternalcycle of life, death, rebirth
it's been embraced by so manydifferent religions and cultures
Hinduism, buddhism, I mean.
I can go on and on.
But it's not just limited tothat, right, it's not just
limited to spiritual orreligious beliefs, because of
many people from all kinds of Imean all walks of life, right?
(02:02):
So many people have ponderedthis idea like what is
reincarnation?
Does God exist?
Yes, no.
Well, that concept raises somany questions and theories, and
I've had discussions with somany people and so many clients
in my practice that reallybelieve that the purpose of
reincarnation is to learn and toevolve, spiritually speaking.
(02:25):
Now, this notion suggests thateach lifetime is an opportunity
to grow and to develop as a soul.
So every experience, everylesson that you're learning is
really shaping you for your nextlife.
Other people don't believe that.
They believe that reincarnationis a karmic thing.
(02:48):
It's a way to balance out thekarma of our past actions.
And that would scare the livingbejesus out of me, because if
that were the case, I think I'mgoing to be reincarnating at
least a hundred times.
Oh my gosh, you know I steppedon frogs when I was younger,
little toads, and I never reallyforgave myself over that one.
(03:08):
But I think you get the ideahere.
But the thing is, if that idea, like the actions, our actions,
are one day going to determinethe circumstances of our next
life, oh my God, you know what?
Actually, some people have thatfundamental belief.
Can you imagine that?
And they follow this conceptLike they think that, and if I
(03:30):
had to think that, I don't thinkI'd ever want to die, because
then I'd have to come back.
Oh my goodness, and I don'tmind that.
I mean, if I don't have anyawareness of it, because I don't
think you have any awareness ofit, right, when you're
reincarnated, you don't know, and sometimes you do.
Now some reject the idea of thatreincarnation and I was like
(03:53):
that you know scientificevidence, give me the proof, I
need to see it.
And it's funny how we do thatright, how we could be skeptical
about something and not aboutsomething else.
I mean, after all, I'm apsychic medium.
I shouldn't be skeptical aboutthis kind of stuff, but I did.
I always thought maybe it's apsychological thing, maybe it's
(04:14):
because of neurological factors, who the hell knows.
But at the end of the day, Idid question that, to be very
honest.
But there's so many cases ofchildren remembering past lives,
I mean with like huge accuracy, and I get a lot of clients that
come in to tell me sometimesthat they think their children
(04:35):
are their grandmother, becausethey'll start talking about oh I
remember when the house caughtfire in 1960, or they'll talk
about stuff that's happened inthe family that they have no way
of knowing about, and so it'sreally kind of weird.
And so I get a lot of peoplethat write to me or come to see
me and ask me these questions.
Now, for me I was, like I said,a big skeptic, but right after
(05:01):
my mother died, I could not, forthe life of me, feel my mother,
and it really upset me becausemy mother and I had made an
agreement before she passed manyyears in fact, before she
passed that she was going to bein contact with me and how we
were going to communicate witheach other.
(05:21):
And the thing is it was sospecific and detailed and we had
talked about this not once ortwice but many times, and so I
was positive that my mother wasgoing to give me immediate signs
of being on the other side, orgive me some kind of energy
field, or I mean, just give mesomething, just even initial B,
(05:43):
because her name was Beatrice, and the thing is it didn't
happen.
It didn't happen, I was notfeeling anything.
So I went to see a psychicmedium and this psychic medium
told me that my mother shecouldn't feel her, but she could
feel my father, and told methat my mother had made it
(06:04):
through on the other side.
But that wasn't good enough forme.
I needed to hear from my mother, I needed the evidence that she
was on the other side and thatshe was close by.
And maybe it's because I was soemotionally involved in this
that I couldn't really actuallyfeel her energy around me.
And I was hoping that was thecase because, like I said, I was
(06:25):
desperate.
My mother was my best friend, she was my mentor.
She was my mentor, she was myeverything, and I'm sure a lot
of you can relate to your lovedones the same way.
So I remembered a psychic, thatI had done a reading with a
psychic medium by the name ofEileen and she had, with very
(06:46):
detailed accuracy, had done areading for me the year before
and had told me a few thingsthat actually came to fruition.
And I contacted her but herwaiting list was four years.
But when I contacted her shewas going through something and
said Jay, can we meet thisweekend, Can we barter a reading
(07:08):
, because I really need one.
And I said, of course.
So we decided to barter areading.
And so I met her on the weekendand I was so excited that I
didn't have to wait months andmonths and months.
But she was in need.
So I gave her a reading and shewas so thankful.
But then she turned around andshe said Jay, your mother's here
.
And I said how do I know it's mymother?
(07:29):
She says she wants to thank youfor the piano song that you
played for her about 15 minutesbefore she died.
My jaw dropped Because, ifanyone knows the Pioneer Manor,
which is a long-term carefacility in Sudbury, ontario, I
took the piano, which is a babygrand piano on wheels, and I
(07:52):
wheeled that baby grand pianoall the way to the front towards
Cranberry Lane, because mymother's room was the very first
room 101-1, very first room inthat hallway and I pushed the
piano very close by and I hadplayed a song for her on that
(08:14):
piano as she was being aspiratedand given medication for the
very last time, because mymother died very shortly after
that.
So immediately I knew my motherwas around and I asked her why
can't I feel my mother?
She goes, I don't know, jay,but she says she has some things
to tell you and you need tolisten.
(08:35):
So she says first of all shewants you to know that she did
hate the name here of Rose.
She hated it but she didn'thave a choice and that's why she
hated it.
And I said I don't understand, she goes the name of Rose.
And then I realized that when Ifirst admitted my mother to the
(08:56):
long-term care facility, I hadto have her health card changed
over from a red and white healthcard in Ontario to a photo card
, which actually is photo exemptin Ontario for seniors that are
in long-term care facilities.
But I had to get her healthcard done and as a result of
that I had to order her birthcertificate, because I only had
(09:18):
her baptismal certificate and onher birth certificate the name
Rose Alma was there and mymother was always known by
Beatrice but there was nothingin her documentation, although
we applied under the known byBeatrice, but there was nothing
in her documentation.
Although we applied under thename of Beatrice, there was
nothing that said Beatrice.
All of her legal documents wereRose, alma, and she was so
(09:41):
upset that her name was Rose.
And she says I despise thatname, nobody's to call me Rose,
I don't like that name.
So the thing is we asked thestaff to call her Beatrice
because that was her name.
So I said yes, I said that didhappen.
So I told Eileen and Iconfirmed that, yes, I do
understand the name situationand I told her the story as I
(10:05):
just said.
So then the next thing she saidto me, which kind of made me
chuckle under my breath, was thefact that my mother was telling
me that she was coming backinto this lifetime.
And I said to Eileen what doyou mean?
She goes, your mother's comingback into her ninth cycle, jay.
And I said well, what does thatmean in English, you know,
(10:27):
because I wasn't reallyunderstanding this ninth cycle
thing.
And she says well, she goes, Ideal with reincarnation and your
mother's reincarnating and hersoul is coming back in 10 years
and she is going to come back inApril, august or December as a
young girl, but she's in herninth cycle, which means that
(10:48):
this little girl will be veryincapacitated, either physically
or mentally or both.
And I said to her, I said whywould my mother pick to come
back into a life like that?
I mean, it's so difficult to,you know, go through that kind
of lifetime.
It's so stressful for thefamilies and trying to take care
of the child and the upkeep.
(11:09):
And you know, I mean two peoplehave to work nowadays.
And she just said that mymother's soul was very highly
evolved and because she wascoming back into her ninth cycle
, that she was coming here as aselfless soul, that she was
coming here to show love and shewas coming here to teach people
(11:32):
love, patience andunderstanding through emotional,
physical and mental experienceshere on this earth.
So, in other words, coming backin capacitated and disabled,
she would be depending on many, many people in her lifetime to
take care of her.
And the thing is, you know, they're not here to learn
(11:53):
lessons, these children, shesaid they were here to teach.
And so when somebody wasimpatient, let's say, with this
type of child and yelled at thechild and then later felt guilty
for their actions, they'reunderstanding patience and love
and it's so difficult andstressful to and I'm not saying
(12:15):
this to be disrespectful toanyone.
Please understand that it isvery difficult to have an
incapacitated child, because mymother had a child that was born
, that was very, veryincapacitated and died at the
age of six months.
So to hear her coming back thisway was really quite shocking
for me, and so I just thought itwas really funny.
(12:38):
So I asked for more detail.
So I asked her.
I said well, you told me April, august or December, 10 years or
so from now.
And I said who's supposed tohave this child?
Because my son already haschildren and I don't think he's
going to have children 10 yearsfrom now because we're all
getting older.
And she says, jay, it's goingto be in your family circle,
(13:01):
it's going to be.
And she says it doesn't evenhave to be someone who's blood
related, but it is in yourfamily circle and you will hear
of it, and that child will carryyour mother's name and the
child will be born at the timeyour mother died.
She goes when did your motherdie?
I said well, my mother died at2.27 pm.
She said hmm, that'sinteresting.
(13:22):
So I call my niece after thisreading.
And I said to her.
I said I had the weirdestreading ever in my entire life.
She goes what I said.
Well, do you remember when wewere with Mimere and she was
dying?
She goes yes, my mother died.
(13:46):
She goes 227, I said.
Apparently, I said there's ababy coming in our family at 227
pm in April, august or December.
That's going to carry mymother's name, first middle name
, and this baby's my mother, being reborn into this lifetime.
So we both broke out laughing, and I don't mean to be
disrespectful.
So, eileen, if you're listening, that's what happened.
We did laugh and you know, wejust kind of laughed about it.
(14:10):
We never really talked about itbecause it was so for me,
ridiculous.
I was just really I was a bigskeptic.
I was a big skeptic, you know.
So, moving on from that, inDecember two years ago, my niece
calls me the same one that waswith me when my mother passed
(14:31):
and she goes oh, my freaking God, auntie, jay, she goes.
Are you sitting down?
I said no.
I said why she goes.
Okay, I've got a picture tosend you.
I said why she goes.
I have a picture to send you.
She goes, I'm going to betexting it over any second.
She goes, just sit by yourphone.
So I received this text and it'sthis beautiful baby and the
baby's middle name is Beatrice.
(14:53):
And they're wow, I said what acute little baby.
I said who's that?
She goes.
You know her nephew?
I said yes, she goes.
That's his daughter.
You know her nephew?
I said yes, she goes, that'shis daughter.
And they're what I said she hada baby.
She goes.
Yes, I said how come?
I didn't know about it.
She goes.
I guess she didn't share itwith many people because she
(15:15):
says the baby's not.
Well, I said, oh my God, what'swrong?
So she told me the baby'schallenges and they're oh my
goodness, that's so.
That's so difficult for theirfamily Because the baby was not
only mentally incapacitated, shewas also physically
incapacitated.
(15:35):
And she goes, auntie, she goes.
Do you remember that readingyou told me about?
I said what reading she goes, the one from 10 years ago with
that lady from England.
I'm there, oh my God.
I said yes.
I said I remember that she goes.
Didn't she say that, auntie?
She says that your mom wasgoing to come back and carry her
(15:57):
name and she goes.
This baby was born in December, auntie, and I said she was.
She goes, yes, so then shesends me the note that's
attached to the photo and thenote says on December 20th at
2.27 pm, our world and familygot a bit sweeter.
Our sweet baby was born and welove her so much.
(16:22):
She's so strong and brave, already born, and we love her so
much.
She's so strong and bravealready.
The story still brings me totears because it was the time my
mother passed and I believethat this is my mother's soul
and I believe that this baby hascome here to spread love in her
(16:44):
family, that this baby has comehere to spread love in her
family.
And the thing is she's sobeautiful and she's already a
little trooper and she giveshope to so many people.
And I understand why souls comeback.
It's not a karmic lesson, it'snot that bad things are going to
happen to you when you comeback.
(17:05):
It's you choose your path.
The soul is so highly evolved,it knows exactly what it needs
to learn to have an effect on somany people.
Because, I've said it so manytimes, our pain is our purpose
and that baby is innocent andbeautiful because she's just a
(17:25):
little star.
I'm telling you and also youknow she lives at a distance and
although you know, I don't knowher well I feel so good that
the spirit of my mother stilllives on and has an effect on
the people around her and she isspreading love, and she is
spreading hope, and she isspreading joy.
(17:46):
It's just for me, it's just somind-blowing.
Am I a skeptic?
Hell, no.
Am I a believer?
Yes, I am.
I'm a believer that there isreincarnation and I'm really
happy that we don't remember ourpast lives and some people that
do soon forget.
(18:07):
Some children grow out of it,stop talking about it, while
some carry it with them.
There are so many amazingstories, but it just really
opens up that question that doesthis really exist?
Maybe you still have theopinion that it doesn't.
(18:28):
Did we get the formula right?
Is it why we're coming backhere?
I believe it really is for ahigher purpose and for the good
of all mankind.
I really do believe that and Ido believe that the soul needs
to complete these cycles.
Now, not everybody chooses toreincarnate, so to let you know
(18:48):
if your soul decides not to comethrough another cycle, it
simply won't, but just to beopen to it and just to know that
your soul is beautiful and ithas purpose, even though you're
not aware of it, you still havepurpose.
I want to thank you so much forlistening in today.
