(00:00):
Hey guys, welcome back to the Laughing Matters podcast.
(00:05):
I'm W.S.
Walker, aka Wil Help from the Could Help channel at youtube.com slash could help.
And we're back for another episode.
And today we're going to do another episode of the Wil Helps Omegle series.
You know, I had a lot of fun doing these.
It was great being able to get instant feedback and be able to delve deeper into people's
(00:32):
issues instead of just going off of a one-er and trying to figure out details for myself.
That's just been really nice.
And hopefully you guys are enjoying them.
If you're not, let me know.
And of course, you can always contact me, reach out directly at willhelpmail at gmail.com.
(00:53):
And of course, if you want to help the show, you know, it is an ad free show intentionally.
I don't want to have to bombard you guys with stuff like that.
Just kind of makes me feel disingenuous.
But to help, you know, run the show, you know, cover website costs and stuff like that.
If you have an interest in helping this along, you now have an option.
(01:16):
That is patreon.com slash I could help.
I'll keep a link and the description for you at the podcast as well.
So yeah, a lot of new stuff happening.
We put up recently the first episode of the could play channel, which is, you know, it
is still dead, though I am in talks with somebody about doing something else with it.
(01:43):
So I will keep you guys posted on that as well as post the audio from the AI dungeon
episode on here as well.
So you guys can enjoy it, which I may or may not have already done.
I think I've already done that.
But if I haven't, that's coming soon.
Be on the lookout for that.
And without further ado, let's just get into helping some folk.
(02:05):
This is kind of an abrupt cut.
I apologize.
But he's just repeating back to me, Oh, you know, what do I do?
I, you know, you're giving me advice on something that matters a lot to me.
And yeah, I think that's all the setup we've required today, guys.
Enjoy.
And I'll try to pop back in at the end of the show.
If I don't, that means I close the show rather well on its own.
(02:30):
Advice on anything that it's important to me.
Some advice on how to focus, like focusing on school.
Just general advice on focusing on it?
Yeah.
Okay.
Are we talking about high school or college?
High school.
High school.
Oh my God.
Okay.
So I got you.
(02:51):
High school is the stairs leading to the platform.
You know, it's all the stuff you got to get done so that you can get into whatever it
is that you're going to get into.
Do you have a strong focus on that?
Not like here focus, but like something that really draws you in that you're just like
this?
(03:11):
Yes.
This is what I'm built for.
I have this thing for like my dad's job.
What kind of work is it?
Airline.
Okay.
So as a pilot or as like...
As a station manager.
Okay.
Just so long as you're not an air traffic controller, because I can just go ahead and
tell you, you don't want that job, man.
(03:36):
Is that something that calls to you because you're familiar with its workings and it feels
like something that you know from having seen what's going on there that you could do and
do well?
Or is it something that you're like, I am built for this.
Like, this is...
Oh my God.
Nobody could do this better than me.
(03:57):
I mean, my dad and his father had worked for like airline companies.
So my dad's like, maybe you could be like the third generation to like work for airline
company.
The passion of it though, do you have a passion for it?
Or does this sound like an easy answer to the question of what I'm going to do with
(04:18):
my life?
Is that part of it?
Is that a motivating factor in that like, you know you can get in?
Let me rephrase it if it's okay.
If that's all right.
Could part of the motivation behind doing this be that it's there and if you do this,
(04:40):
you can stop looking for whatever it is that's...
I'm still like considering other things too of what I want to do.
I mean, I sort of had to say thank for like another thing because my older sister and
her like take me to her job sometimes and I'll like work there sometimes.
(05:02):
It's construction stuff.
I've done construction.
That's actually a lot of fun sometimes.
Like there's something about just...
I've operated a skid steer before.
Okay.
Wow.
So what is it about this job?
Not about, you know, the fact that you've seen it in action or the fact that you know
(05:23):
people that work in it.
What is it about the job itself that calls to you?
I've had a thing for like building ever since I was like young.
When I was young, I'd like to like, if I could like look around, you'd see like a whole ton
of stuff I'd built.
Okay.
Have you ever considered doing some focus in engineering?
(05:48):
I mean that's a thing that's also fun.
When I was young, I was sort of, I thought of becoming like an architect or an engineer.
Okay.
So yes, since you were young.
Okay.
So that sounds like that's something that is a tremendous drive for you as it's why
(06:08):
you're considering this field.
All right.
Ready for the advice?
Be an engineer or an architect.
No, I'm not doing that.
But if you're excited about it, go for that.
But if you're going to go for that, really go for it.
(06:28):
Like I mean, don't let anything get in your way.
Okay.
Let me back that up.
Let's acknowledge that being kind to other people and not screwing people over is the
best way to live a life.
And then say, you know, do what's necessary with that in mind though.
(06:48):
Be, you know, be generous, be kind, but you know, put forth the effort.
You talked about focus, getting focused.
Here's the thing about focus.
Focus doesn't happen.
Focus is made.
Focus is honed.
Focus happens by way of making yourself do something over and over again, even though
(07:09):
you don't want to do it.
It is mastering the discipline of making yourself to something you don't want to do.
So you just, you have to push past that man.
There's no other way than to turn off your brain and just do it.
You know, take the time to jump on YouTube, look up the resources for, you know, understanding
(07:30):
the job before you even go into it.
Find out what you can find out on what would be most beneficial to learn about doing the
job and then learn that.
Go in there as prepared as possible to do the job and hell, they might just pull you
out of college to do the job.
(07:50):
Yeah, that was amazing.
Thanks man.
I'd rather hang in there tonight and through God, high school.
I'm sorry.
I just, I just give you a blanket.
I'm sorry.
Hi.
Hi.
I have a one-time offer for you.
This is the actual first episode that we're ever doing a Omega episode.
(08:15):
I'm sorry.
My friend is here.
You're good.
Yeah, but I'm giving free advice.
However, there's one stipulation you can see kind of there, right there.
There's a little asterisk up here and there's a little footnote here that says, provided
(08:37):
that the advice you seek is about something that is genuinely very important to you.
Okay.
That's the deal.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's do it.
Should I leave my toxic friend that always gaslights me?
Is that friend in the room and giving you like daggers for eyes right now?
(09:00):
No.
No.
No.
I'm just kidding.
So your friend always gaslights you like basically makes you think that you're crazy.
Or like, yeah, they're like, they're really rude.
Rude.
Okay.
And they gaslight you and what else do they do?
They talk about me behind my back.
(09:22):
That sucks.
My mom was in jail and she's like, can I come over or like, can you come over to my house?
And I said, no, sorry.
I'm not my mom.
And she's like, can't your mom go back to jail already?
I just have like really bad jealousy issues.
And whenever she hangs out with my friends, she always sends me pictures of all of them
with her.
(09:43):
Oh man.
I was not expecting that one.
No, I actually had a relationship a while ago that that person, I introduced that person
to several of my friends and then something we ended up breaking up and all of my friends
(10:04):
like, well, I couldn't be with them.
I was, I was out of state and all of them were just hanging out with her then.
That's happened.
That's a toxic friend.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
It's also a very small town and I see her very often and it just sucks in general.
(10:33):
Well, it's, it's, it's very common that when you look at the hardest thing to do, it ends
up also tending to be the right thing to do.
Yeah.
And I hate to be the bearer of the bad news here, but I think that's the case.
(10:54):
Like this is, this is not a relationship that's helping you or her.
Yeah.
Because she's being allowed to continue doing this without consequence.
She's being allowed to do this and be, you know, receive the feedback that you will still
be her friend.
If she treats people like this, that they will still be her friend.
(11:16):
You don't want to feed that kind of monster.
Yeah.
There's, there's, but here's the thing though.
There's like, it's like 10% of the population is always going to kind of steer towards the
selfish end of the spectrum.
They're going to kind of be governed by selfish desire.
(11:36):
And then 10% of the population was always going to defer to helping people when given
the chance and being generous.
And then the other 80%, they can be swayed either which way.
Yeah.
So if it's something that you think that you can sway, then by all means, man, like give
(11:59):
it, give it a shot, see if you can help, help her understand that like jealous, jealous
somebody, Tim Allen, do you know who Tim Allen is?
I don't.
Okay.
He played the Santa Claus with the E at the end.
He's the voice of Buzz Lightyear.
(12:20):
Oh yeah.
He had a show called Home Improvement where he's like, oh, Tim Allen wrote a book that
was kind of ingenious.
This is discrediting itself by saying this, but called Never Stand Too Close to a Naked
Man.
But he said that people say that hate is the opposite of love.
(12:44):
And that just simply isn't true because you can love someone and hate them.
It's not possible.
I've done it.
I'm sure you've had flashes of it yourself.
It's jealousy that is the opposite of love.
And the more I thought about it, the more I was like, this guy's really onto something
(13:06):
because you can't be jealous of somebody that you love.
You can either be jealous or you can love them.
Both cannot exist in the same cage match.
Only one can leave the ring.
It seems to me like she's already done the damage to the friendship.
(13:26):
But it doesn't mean that this has to be a worthless spending of your time with her.
You can impart onto her hopefully things that will help her down the ride.
They say, you know, turn the other cheek and all that, but once you've run out of cheeks
to turn, you know, it's stay, stand there and get slapped or go.
(13:53):
You're also allowed to leave.
You don't have to stick around and get slapped around.
Thank you.
Yeah, man.
And definitely don't let her steer you away from friendships in the future because you're
anxious about it, you know, because like, what if this person also is no, no, every
person's different.
(14:14):
And it's always worth the ride.
It is always worth the ride to find out.
I like this.
I like this real time.
I think it's cool.
Yeah.
I can't fake this.
Like you're asking me these questions in real time.
Being paired with somebody I don't know.
I'm so sorry.
(14:34):
What was your first name?
Is it okay if I know your first name?
Yeah, yeah, I'm Bee.
Bee.
Oh, I love that.
Is Puppycat there?
I'm sorry.
Oh, I love that show.
I love being Puppycat.
My guts.
Thank you so much, Bee.
Yeah, I'm excited to watch it.
Yay.
I'm excited to, not excited to edit it.
I'm going to be like checking it every two hours.
Oh yeah.
(14:54):
This is not going to air for, hold on.
Okay.
So I have that one in the works.
That one's probably going to air in like a couple of days and then the next one is probably
going to air in like a week or two.
In the works, that one's probably going to air in like a couple of days and that's going
to take me like a week and some change to do the, all the, oh my God, this is going
(15:19):
to be so long to edit.
I just realized I'm doing hours of footage.
You don't have to edit like my voice or anything or my face.
Oh, thank you.
That makes it so much better.
You know what?
You just got the thumbnail for that.
Really?
No, no, sorry.
I can't get it.
That's impressive.
(15:40):
Bandit.
No, dude.
Not right now.
He's got the covers on his head and pull his skin way back to his eyes.
You're just like.
