Laurie Hellmann is a planner. So, she thought she had her life all figured out. Until she didn't. Like most parents, Laurie had big expectations for children and their futures. Then her son was diagnosed with severe non-verbal autism at the age of 3. And those expectations, like her life, completely changed. But navigating the unknowns of raising a child with special needs gave her a new plan. A purpose. A mission. To help other families facing similar realities understand that they aren't alone. Now she believes this is the life she was meant to lead. Wherever it may take her.
