To listen in on today'sconversation because it is
actually a conversation that Ihad in 2021, at the height of

(01:33):
the pandemic.
I was dealing with a lot.
You know, there was so muchgoing on in the world at the
time, and I begin to referencethat, and I want you to hear
what I felt like the Lord wasgiving me to give to my
listeners at that time, and Ibelieve, if you take the same

(01:54):
principles on today, you willget some great wisdom to be able
to go to that next level.
If you have not subscribed tothis podcast, I'm telling you Go

(02:14):
I want you to rate it.
Let's push this to number one.
We want to be able to helpother people and help
individuals to go to their nextlevel.
And if you want moreinformation about what we do and
how we do it, I want you to goto nextcoachingorg.

(02:37):
Nextcoachingorg and you canbegin to see how we will help
others reach their fullpotential.
Well, without further ado, Iwant to jump right today,
especially since it's been solong since I've been doing a

(03:00):
podcast.
I thought about this topic theopportunity of chaos, the

(03:22):
opportunity of chaos.
So, if you really think with me, 2021 and 2020 has been years
full of chaos.
Even as I speak, we're dealingwith the chaotic ramifications
of the pandemic the coronavirus, the different variants that is

(03:47):
coming out.
We thought we were pretty muchin the clear Then.
All of a sudden, now we'reseeing different places shut
back down because we're seeingthat the coronavirus is popping
off again.
We're also seeing where thatthe United States had pulled
away and pulled out ofAfghanistan, but in their

(04:10):
process of pulling out of thisalmost 20-year war, we're
finding all kinds of chaoticthings happening.
People are still dying, and notjust people in Afghanistan, man
, some of our United Statestroops, some of the civilians.

(04:30):
We're still dealing with justcrazy chaos.
And if you're not careful, because of this chaos, you will
start thinking in a verydifferent way, a negative way.
You will internalize the chaosand it will start dealing with
everything around you in a verynegative way.

(04:50):
But today I want to talk aboutjust for the next few minutes,
for the duration of the podcastman, I want to talk about this
opportunity of chaos, and yougot to roll with me because it
occurred to me that mostinventions are not invented
because people were creative.
You know that thought alone isa lot when you think about the

(05:16):
different inventions that wehave come accustomed to the car,
the traffic light, the lightitself.
It wasn't just a thing thatsomebody said, hey, I want to
create a traffic light.
No, listen to this idea.
I want you to really take thisthought in.
The spark of creativity isbirthed on the premise of need.

(05:41):
Now, if you got to, you got tolike rewind what I just said
there.
I really want you to.
The spark of creativity isbirthed on the premise of need.
In other words, what I'm tryingto say here is that creativity
only happens when there's a need.

(06:03):
Does that make sense?
It does not just happen.
Any creative person that I knowit is hard to just look at a
blank canvas and start creating.
It's just hard.
But usually when you becomeyour best self, when, when

(06:24):
you're creating, it's becausesomething has sparked it,
something has got yourimagination in a way that has
made you end up having to figureout what to do.
Think about this Henry Ford didnot spend his valuable time
perfecting the assembly linejust because he wanted to be

(06:47):
creative.
Come on, man.
No, think about it.
We see, back in that day, massproduction of the automobile
became a need of the times andsince the need was not being met
, an opportunity presenteditself.
Do you hear that?

(07:07):
He was not sitting around, justlike man, I want to go ahead
and do this, just so I can havesomething to do.
There was a massive need andbecause of the need, opportunity
came to the surface.
Now stick with me.
Think about this If chaos orneed creates the environment

(07:31):
through which creativity isformed, then comfort is the
enemy of creativity.
I'm going to say that again.
Okay, I'm going to say thatagain.
If chaos or need creates theenvironment through which
creativity is formed, thencomfort is the enemy of

(07:57):
creativity.
Can you think about in your ownlife right now, what is
stopping you from becoming allthat you can be, and I want to
suggest to you one of the mainthings but it's so subtle that
stops us from reaching our goaland reaching our full potential

(08:23):
is comfort.
Most of us are comfortable inwhatever we're in.
See, you could be in arelationship that you know that
the relationship could be a lotbetter than what it is, or you
could be in a relationship thatyou know that you shouldn't even
be in, but because we arecomfortable, because we're used

(08:46):
to it, it becomes normal.
All of a sudden, you're notable to get beyond where you are
, and that's why I'm telling youthat comfort is the enemy of
creativity.
See, a lot of times we ask Godfor all kinds of things.

(09:09):
Right, we ask God like Lord, give me a new job, or Lord, give
me a new husband or wife.
Lord, I want to be able to domore things in the community.
Lord, I want to take my life toanother level.
But when you pray those prayers, do you really know what you're
praying for?

(09:29):
Man, you are praying Lord, giveme chaos.
Like.
I know that sounds crazy.
Right, lord, give me chaos.
You know why?
Because I won't get out of whatI'm in unless something begins
to move me out of what I am.

(09:51):
Does that make sense?
Because I remember just givingyou a little story about my own
life.
Man, I was younger and I feltlike I just knew God wanted to
use me in some crazy ways.
Right, and I took off.

(10:12):
When I would get visions or Iwould believe God is speaking to
me at some point in my life, Ijust go after that vision, and
most of the time that I would gooff and start doing something,
it was normally not time yet.
So everything that I wasputting my hand to when I was

(10:33):
younger would fail In my owneyes.
It would fail.
Well, because of me constantlytrying to make what God showed
me uh, shown me happen, I endedup getting to the point where I
was like you know what?
I'm just trying to find mesomething, a job.

(10:54):
Uh, in particular, I was, youknow, especially in my work life
, I was trying to find a jobthat I could just stay
comfortable in.
So I ended up working withLifeline, youth and Family
Services after a while, andLifeline was everything that I
loved.
It dealt with social work, because I loved getting out in

(11:14):
the community.
I loved doing counseling, connecting with people, but it
was also a Christian-basedsocial service network, so I was
able to share with the gospeland do everything that I wanted.
And, man, it paid me well morethan what I was getting paid.
So my family was in a goodposition.

(11:36):
We were cool, but then, all ofa sudden, I started getting
uncomfortable, not because ofthe organization.
Like anybody that's fromLifeline may be listening to me,
I loved Lifeline.
I would go back if I could, butI can't.

(11:57):
Because the uncomfortabilitycame because God gave me a word.
Listen to me, yo.
God gave me a word and told meit was time for me to move.
But here's the deal I've beenwaiting on that word up until
that point for like 15 years, and I was striking out on my own

(12:19):
trying to make him give me thatword.
As soon as I became comfortable, he gave me that word.
Ain't that crazy.
You give me the word when Ididn't really want the word and
you give me the word at the peakof me doing what I felt like I
was supposed to be doing.
See, let me keep it real withyou.

(12:42):
Let me keep it real with you.
Most of the time we're trying tomake God do things, uh, and we
try to trick our minds into.
The guy said do this, and Godsaid do that.
But I'm gonna tell yousomething Every time the Lord
speaks, he understands that itmust be by faith, right.
And so you got to know thatwhen the Lord speaks, he's going

(13:06):
to speak to you in a way thatis going to cause you to be
uncomfortable, because it's onlywhen we're uncomfortable is
when we have to enact our faithme that there is something more
that I want you to do.
And you got to leave this job.

(13:27):
But this time, yo, I thought itwas my own mind.
I was like I'm not leaving, Iain't trying to hear that.
So I got more uncomfortable.

(13:51):
It was more stuff that startedhappening in me internally.
I couldn't sleep.
I kept feeling this wrestlingin my spirit and when I finally
sat down with my wife and weeven went through some stuff
because she's like, boy, you, wemaking good money, you really
talking about trying to leaveand you making pretty good money
and I'm like, yeah, babe, Ifeel like the Lord is telling me
to roll out.
And we finally obeyed and itwas the most uncomfortable thing

(14:14):
ever In December of 2019, Iknow y'all keep hearing this
story, but I got to keephollering at you with it.
I left Lifeline Youth and FamilyServices, really not knowing
what God was about to do, and itwas through me being obedient
and through me beinguncomfortable that he he I'm

(14:37):
going to say it again that hebegan to provide and he began to
show me vision for RedefineLife Incorporated.
Do you know, I would not betalking to you on this podcast
right now if it had not been forthe Lord.
But here's the deal.
He called me right before Itold you it was December of 2019

(15:02):
.
I left Lifeline and he calledme right when the pandemic hit.
In the midst of chaos, hecalled me and I was wondering
what, in the world Of all thetimes you could have called me.
You gonna call me when we aregoing through a worldwide

(15:26):
pandemic?
Come on now, there's no way.
What am I supposed to do?
Not only did he call me in theyear of the pandemic.
He called me when, in the yearof the greatest protest against
racial injustice in my lifetime, during the George Floyd

(15:49):
incident, all hell broke loose.
You called me to startsomething in the midst of that.
Not only was that happening.
He called me in the midst of aturmoil-filled presidential
election.
You called me in the middle ofthat.

(16:11):
Not only that, who knows.
It's almost like he allowedthis just for good measure.
He called me in the middle of acoin shortage.
Have you ever heard of that?
Like what he called me?
In the middle of a coin shortageand in the midst of all of that

(16:34):
chaos, he called me to seesomething that I didn't see
before.
He wanted me to see opportunity.
There are some things right nowthat's happening in your life
as you are listening to thispodcast and I'm telling you, you
think that everything aroundyou is chaos, but I'm telling

(16:58):
you that he wants to show yousomething different.
Can I tell you this?
Your perception will determineyour reality.
Let me make it clear how yousee a thing will determine how
you will behave toward the thingyou see.
If you don't check what you see, if you don't check it, you're

(17:24):
going to end up seeing from thewrong perception.
I've seen chaos.
God seen opportunity.
Here's the deal.
The biggest question that Ihave for you and I'm about to
end this podcast what do you see?
That's the question.

(17:46):
If you're going to have thisfresh start, you must first
answer the question ofperception.
What do you see?
What is in your hand?
Can you think about it, man?
I want to go deeper.
I got a couple more minutes.

(18:06):
If you think about it, in theBible, moses was one of the
great characters that I love tothink about.
And Moses goes and does youknow?
God comes to him with theburning bush.
He tells him you're going to goto Pharaoh, tell them, let my
people go.
He didn't want to go at first.
He ends up going tellingPharaoh hey, god said, let my

(18:31):
people go.
I ain't got time to really dealwith all the nuances and the
intricacies of that, but, man,one of these days, doing
podcasts, I will.
But here's the deal.
He goes after the 10 plagues.
Finally, pharaoh tells him OK,get out, y'all can roll, get out
, I'm done with this.
This is crazy.
Moses is like, hey, I obey God,everything is cool.

(18:55):
But then chaos ensued, mind you,he takes these people out of
slavery and the Bible says thatPharaoh thought what in the
world am I thinking?
I'm trying to go get my people.
Pharaoh goes and runs to go gethis people.

(19:18):
Now Moses is on his way to aland that the Lord told him to
go to, and in the midst of it,the Lord tells him turn around
and go backwards.
Moses was too smart.
He knew better than to turnaround, but he did because he
knew this is what God called himto do.

(19:41):
He's been obedient.
So what does Moses do?
He turns the people around andhe turns them into chaos.
Hold on, he turns them intochaos.
There was a mountain range onboth sides of them.
They had the Egyptian armybehind them and the Red Sea in

(20:08):
front of them.
And here's what I love.
If you read in Exodus, thepeople start crying out to Moses
saying what did you do?
Look, it was about you tryingto get us killed out here.
What did you do?
And what did Moses say?
Moses goes to God and the Lordtells him why are you crying out

(20:31):
to me?
Go forward.
Moses is like and how do youexpect for me to do that?
His problem.
At that time, he had a problemof perception.
He didn't see.
And what ended up happening?
The Bible says God told Moseswhat's in your hand.

(20:56):
Can I tell you, if you'relistening to me right now and if
you are a born again believerand you're ready to upgrade your
life and level up, hear theword of the Lord.
But if you may not believe inJesus Christ and you may not
care about the Lord or nothingof the sort, I want you to take

(21:18):
the principle of what I'm aboutto tell you In that scripture.
That is the question thatstands before you right now.
The question that stands beforeyou, that is literally in
between you and your fullpotential, is this question

(21:40):
what's in your hand?
And if you think there'snothing in your hand, then that
means you're not seen correctly.
Because Moses had a stab in hishand and the Lord didn't tell
him well, god, he didn't tellhim, well, go call Aaron, or

(22:01):
nothing.
He told him take what's in yourhand and he said stretch out
your rock, stretch it out.
And when he stretched out whatwas already in his hand, he was
able to take the people across.
Here's the deal, yo.
The opportunity of chaos issimple.

(22:22):
He got it saying man, there'sso much going on in the world
today, but this is primeopportunity for you to get rich,
it is prime opportunity for youto fulfill your destiny.
But it is going to take youseeing different, and you're
going to have to see differentwhat is in your hand?

(22:47):
And when you find out what isin your hand and you see it
different.
You're going to hear the Lordsay stretch out your hand,
stretch out, go beyond what youhave used it for.
Moses had used that staff incertain ways and had got

(23:09):
accustomed to the staff onlybeing used in a certain way.
He never knew that the staffhad more potential.
He didn't know it until hestretched it out.
I'm telling you stretch out.
If you stretch out, you'regoing to see God do some crazy

(23:31):
things in your life.
Just stretch out.
When we get back next time, Iwant you to look at next week.
Come back next week and we'regoing to talk about the next
step in this progression and I'mgoing to ask you we're going to
still keep dealing withperception.
I'm going to ask you thisquestion what do you see behind

(23:54):
your eyelids?
That's going to be the title ofthe next group, the next
podcast, and we're going to talkabout vision, because we got to
begin to start looking at lifedifferent, wherever you are.
I'm trying to tell you, man, there is so much more that God

(24:14):
wants to do, but you arelimiting you.
Do you hear me?
You're limiting you because youare not ready to go beyond
where you are and you're notready to stretch out beyond what
you're used to, but if you do,I'm telling you everything is

(24:38):
going to change.
So until next week, if you gotto re-listen to this podcast and
keep going, keep moving forward, as my, as my mom say in Daddy
God, and I'll holler at you nextweek.
You.
