ABOUT DAVE HARDEN
BIO
Dave Harden is an entrepreneur, husband and father of four, and managing partner of Outpost Ventures, through which he’s created an innovative approach to venture capital, business development, technology acceleration and national security investment.
Harden is also the founder of The Outpost, which has helped 220 companies win more than $480 million of USG contracts. Previously, he was an Air Force pilot who recognized that maintaining global technological superiority would require the U.S. to adopt a more inclusive procurement strategy. Harden became a founding architect of AFWERX, the tech innovation arm of the U.S. Air Force, and was appointed chief of strategic prioritization at the Pentagon, leading efforts to reprioritize technology investment in the private sector. As a result, dual-use tech companies have a channel through which to win USG contracts and are incentivized to do so with the incredible value to be captured by USG matching funds programs.
AFWERX has executed over $5 billion with more than 3,100 companies.
Harden was also the former COO of Melwood, a 1,500-person enterprise providing opportunities for people with disabilities.
Harden earned his MBA at George Washington University and his BS in electrical engineering at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also holds an executive certificate in strategy and innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he is a certified business and executive coach with a specialization in Design Thinking and Innovation from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. Harden also piloted the $225 million, technologically advanced C-17, and has nearly 4,000 flight hours, including significant combat time in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo.

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
