How do you create a plan of action for your clients that actually works?

When it comes to making action plans for clients there are many challenges that can arise.

  • The goal is not tangible
  • You struggle to keep your client on track
  • Your client resists goal setting altogether

What is the 4-part framework?

1. Cognitive work. As coaches, we need to have an understanding of cognitive patterns and mind mastery when it comes to our clients.

2. Emotional resiliency. An understanding of how to be with your client and their emotions is crucial to this process.

3. Understanding of the nervous system. Greater resiliency and regulation are difficult to create when your client does not have nervous system awareness or connection to themselves.

4. Creating aligned action. There is so much power in having a solid and clear plan of action that is supported with mind mastery, emotional resiliency, and understanding of the nervous system.

3 elements of an effective plan of action

The 4 part framework for creating lasting change will help you understand how to make the change, but how can you implement this in a plan that your client will be able to stick to? There are three elements to a plan of action that works:

  1. Clarity and commitment
  2. Mastery of mindset and emotion
  3. Adaptable aligned action
