Joe Leurs is a combat Marine Corps NCO, received a Purple Heart from an injury sustained in Iraq, retired Army Reserves, retired Metro Nashville PD Detective.
He's also an Entrepreneur/Inventor of a life-saving product and recently a US congressional candidate for District 7 in Tennessee.
We discuss his time in the Marine Corps, 31st MEU—special ops, 1st Marine Division, his time in the Army and then his time as an embedded undercover detective with Nashville Metro PD gang unit and when he has been called on to testify against gang members in state and Federal courts.
He's working on a Master's degree and another career field!
His daughter also joins us on the mic to share her favorite memory of her dad and how she found out he was a police officer.
