Just when you'd thought that the Ariana Grande split couldn't get any uglier, it does exactly that. Doja Cat has picked a fight, and it's with her own fans. MGK is throwing punches again. Britney is back with a new song, and it's....

Speaker 1 (00:01):
From Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's a p H pray for the moment and one
and only world famous Perez Perez Hilton.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It's the.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hello everybody, and welcome to the p HP booker. He's Perez.
What's the word?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
All right, it's another divas themed show today. We're gonna
be talking about, uh, some updates to the Ariana Grande
situation that we discussed last week, some drama surrounding that,
the split from her husband and her new boyfriend. Also

(00:44):
Doja cat at war with her own fans. Really, Megan
Fox and Machine Gun Kelly got into some major brew
haha at the Orange County Fair, Megan Markle and Prince
Harry making a surprising change and more. But first, the

(01:06):
biggest story in the world. That's the new Barbie movie. Wow.
I'm assuming you did not go see it, because you
don't really usually go to the movies.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I'm thinking about it just because Callen wants to see
it so badly, so I may end up going at
some point, maybe early next weekend. But I can't believe
the number it did.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, you know, it debuted in the US alone to
over one hundred and fifty million dollars and it's not
even a holiday weekend. It's just a summer weekend. It's
a odd Yeah, the marketing will be studied in university
classes because there's two things, right, There's the inherent brand

(01:48):
of Barbie, and then there's the marketing of the Barbie film.
The marketing of the Barbie film is what got those
asses in the theater, and then the brand of Barbie
is what got those asses in the theaters. To dress
up in pink. I dressed up in pink, my kids
dressed up in pink. There were so many people in
the theater that were dressed up. It was really fun

(02:11):
to have that excitement again at the cinema, which I
go to regularly, and have you know, the theater be
full of people dressed up to go see a movie.
And I don't really love reviews before I see a movie.
I'm weird. I love reviews. I like to read reviews
after I've seen the film, and I do that. I'll
go read the reviews when I'm done seeing a movie.

(02:33):
So I avoided them before I went to go see Barbie.
But of course, you know, some things do manage to
penetrate and seep into your brain, and I kept hearing
all this buzz about Ryan Gosling, Ryan Gosling's amazing, Ryan
Goslin's Gonna get the Oscar, Ryan Gosling steals the show.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I hadn't heard that once. I only heard one review.
It is from the I want to say, the New
York Post, and they slammed the movie and I was like, really, actually,
it seemed like they were slamming Margot Robbie because they
were calling it Margot Robbie's movie or something. And that's
the only review I saw, and I was like, that
can't be right.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
She is a producer on it, Margot Robbie.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
So it is okay.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Maybe it is absolute movie. I mean, she is Barbie,
but I could not disagree more. I mean, I didn't
read that review. However, what I was blown away with
by the Barbie movie was Margot Robbie. She was sensational, Like,
oh my, I am in love with Mirca. I watched
that film and I just had like dough eyes throughout

(03:34):
the whole thing. I'm like, she is perfect in that
role and was so good is that? You know? The
thing I did not like about Ryan Gosling is I
don't love those performances where you could tell an actor
is acting so hard, like, oh, they're acting so hard.
But Margot Robbie made it seem so natural, so real,
so emotional, so heart felt, like I was really rooting

(03:57):
for Barbie, and I really felt for Barbie. And it
was amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
So the movie was really good in your opinion, Yes.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I highly recommend it. In fact, I might even go
if a friend of mine wanted to go see it again.
I would like. I enjoyed it that much, and I don't.
I love going to the movies, but I don't really
love going to the movies to see the same film
in a short period of time twice. You know, however,
it's really interesting. Those are my thoughts. Now, the bigger
pop culture conversation is I love that this happened because

(04:28):
it just goes to show you that the loud people
on social media are oftentimes just a small minority. Some
conservatives are really upset with the Barbie movie, and they
probably didn't even go see it. They're upset about it
because it pushes feminism. You should not teach my young
daughter about feminism. I should teach my daughter about feminism,

(04:52):
gayness or this or that or the other. And I'm like, well,
then don't fucking take your kids to see the Barbie movie?
As simple as that. It is rated PG thirteen, So
that should have been a sign for some folks like, oh, okay,
it's a PG thirteen movie. If I'm one of those
people that are really, you know, concerned about that, I
should really maybe either see the film myself first before

(05:12):
I allow my kid, or just read up on it.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's called Barbie, how bad could it be?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
It wasn't bad, That's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
There's no chance that it is. But anybody that says
that's just looking for attention for themselves. I don't even
believe anybody believes that. How about that?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
No, some people do, like even that guy, that conservative
commentator Ben Shapiro went to go see the movie and
he was like, I was forced to go see this
to review the film and another talking they're pushing woke
ideology in this film, and listen, the fascinating thing about
the movie is, and I didn't mention this in my
and I don't think in my review. It's a lot

(05:46):
like the Doll, right, Like it's it's a life and
the and the movie and the doll is is what
you make of it like Barbie is a fucking plastic thing, right,
you know, But the film says, yeah, if you want
to be stereotypical Barbie, or if you want to be whatever,
if you if you don't want to be ambitious, if

(06:07):
you want to blend in, if you want to do that,
that's fine. And if you want to be taken seriously,
or if you want to do the other, if you
want to be the president, you can. You can do
all of it, like all of it is okay, all
of it is, except you don't have to be a feminist.
That was one of the message points that I took
away from the movie.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Now that they do the thing where like I did
as a kid, my neighbor had Barbie's and I had
g I Joe's, and I would bring Gi Joe over
to bang Barbie. Now that did that happen in the
movie at any point?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
No? No, Actually, it's so interesting. Like Ken and Barbie
didn't even kiss in the movie.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Oh they don't know, they're not like romantically.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
They are their boyfriend girlfriend. But I don't know if
Barbie even likes Ken that much.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
That's funny. I gotta see this.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, it's fun it's great.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
It's funny because I have no idea. It's good because,
like you, I didn't read any reviews. I only just
kind of saw the one that's sort of snuck into
my vision there for a minute. But I don't have
any idea what it's about. I'm kind of clueless. I
saw I saw a clip with Ryan Gosling doing a
wasn't a ken Off, it was something off beach Off.

(07:14):
Beach Off. Yeah, they were doing beach Off, and I
thought that was funny and kind of cute. So I
was like, all right, if this is the tone of
the movie, it's kind of funny.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
So well, that's a surprising thing, is like, that's not
the whole tone of the movie. There's that, and then
there's also some real heartfelt, emotional, sincere moments. The through
line actually is that? So anyways, Also, if any of
our Patreon listeners are going to be in Las Vegas
or any listeners, that's what I said. Our podcast listeners said,

(07:41):
Patreon listen, Oh, I had a brain fart.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Any of the podcast listener, yeah, regular podcast this episode
right right right?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
If any of our podcast listeners are going to be
in Las Vegas the weekend of August eleventh. That Friday,
August eleventh, I am hosting a burlesque show in Vegas,
So if you want to come, the info is on
my at Las Vegas Perez Instagram. It will be a
lot of fun and I'll get to see you. So

(08:11):
there's that anything new with you.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
No, Calin went to a bridal shower this weekend, so
I had the house to myself for an entire Saturday night,
and everybody was like, you want to do something, you
want to host something. I'm like, fuck, no, it's the
first time I've had the house to myself for I
can't even remember the last time. So I cleaned the
ground on my kitchen floors. It was very exciting.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I should have done that yesterday, Like, I had such
a busy weekend and I did a lot with my kids,
and then yesterday I didn't have anything planned and the
last minute I did do something, because you know, I
work so hard during the week One of my struggles
is like I want to make sure on the weekends
I always do things with my kids. But then I
went to bed late last night because I did do
something with my kids, and now I'm like dragging, Oh

(08:53):
my god. But it's good. We went out to eat. Actually,
I love this story. Very briefly, I went to this
rush restaurant. I took my kids to this place in
Vegas called Twisted Sour Dough Pizza and it just really
fucking inspired me because it's been open less than two
years and there was a line out the door. But
then I was talking to the owner and he said, yeah,

(09:14):
they make pizza cones. He's like, during the pandemic, I
had another business and it went out of business because
of COVID. Then he started this new business after COVID
and that's become a success. So you know, when you
think the world is not going.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Your way, it was a new door.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Yeah, yeah, you're out of business, but then all of
a sudden, now you have a new business and it's
super successful.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
So that was if you make something good, people will come.
It could be a show, it could be a pizza place,
it could be just an idea. If it's great, people
will come. It goes with anything in life. Makes something good,
people will come.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
All right, Well, now from making good to doing bad
maybe possibly Last week we spoke about Ariana Grande and
her her husband Dalton Gomez separating. Then we found out
Ariana Grande has a new boyfriend. She is dating the

(10:11):
co star, or one of the co stars of her
upcoming Wicked movie. This actor named Ethan Slater who played
SpongeBob on Broadway. They're almost the same age. I think
he's thirty one, she's thirty. And the controversy is this guy,
like Arianna, is married to somebody else obviously, and he

(10:33):
has a less than a one year old child, no boy.
And now word has gotten out that the wife has
been blindsided. She did not see this coming because they
were not having any issues in their marriage. Allegedly, that's
what the wife claims.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Well, they just had a kid. Doesn't sound like they
were having issues.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
I mean, the only way to interpret that is this
dude saw that Ariana Grande was interested in him and
decided to ditch his wife for Ariana Grande. Wow. And
Arianna allegedly, reportedly, I should say, has done this before.
She has. She's gotten into relationships with men that have

(11:18):
been in relationships. She's done that actually reportedly many times,
many many times. I think in fact, even here her husband,
Dalton Gomez, reportedly was in a relationship when she started
dating him.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
So what is that what what kind of you know
what it says? What is No, I don't. I'm asking
the question, what kind of a woman or person habitually
that starts?

Speaker 2 (11:45):
What that kind?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
What kind of answer?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
That kind of person?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
You know what it means?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
No, I don't tell me say it.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
An unstable human being?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Oh, explain that person.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
And that's I've really handled her with kid gloves, and
you know I have. I always look at the tragedy
she went through, the bombing, blah blah blah, et cetera,
et cetera, the breakups, and I've always told you, I mean,
even meeting her along the way, it's always something. Let's
just put it that way. And I know the people
that work with her and for her, it's always something, always,

(12:20):
and I always just try to give her the benefit
of the doubt. And when she got married, I did say, wow,
this is way too fast. But I think she needed
a pause and to calm down and et cetera, et cetera.
And I said, you know, but maybe this will be good.
Now she just fell back into what she is and
it's unfortunate because there is a you mentioned her age,

(12:42):
there's a three there now come on full up, and
let's take all that like we're guessing and this and that.
I guess we're not guessing. They're fucking dating and the
guy has a kid, and it is what it is.
Let's take that out of it. Be a fucking professional
at work. They got this movie Wicked. I want to
make it about the art for a minute. I am
so excited to see Wicked in movie for them. I've

(13:05):
seen Wicked at least maybe five times, because I've seen
it here. I've seen it in Philly, I saw it
in New York, so I'm it four or five times.
I love Wicked. I think kids will enjoy this in
the theater. This thing is so tainted already. It's taken
away from that piece of art and something that could
have been really cool. I think they're fucking it all up.
And that's just kind of like two cents on this.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
I do think there is there should be some kind
of unwritten rule right that you don't start dating at
co star on a movie until after the movie's done,
just because what if you break up during filming, like
that'll make the filming experience so awful.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Just exactly what happened. I mean, you can't tell me
that you don't have a taste in your mouth because
of this. Like, let's go back to Barbie for a second.
When you watch Margot Robbie and Ryan.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Reynolds or Brian Gosling Brian.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Gosling, but when you look at those two be interviewed,
you see two loving, respectful human beings and they are
playing tennis back and forth. And Ryan Goslin could not
come off lovelier and she could not come off more professional,
and you kind of root for that. You're like, this
is how it's supposed to be done, this is how

(14:20):
Hollywood does it. And now you got this fucking Wicked,
which I'm telling you it could I don't know if
it's going to do one hundred and fifty five million numbers,
but that production could easily if Oppenheimer gave us eighty
million dollars this weekend, I could see Wicked doing the
same thing. Because it's a piece of Broadway that people love.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
I don't know a lot of people don't like movie musicals.
There's a lot of I love musicals. And also, if
it has an exceptionally long run time, it just it
decreases the amount of screenings that theaters can have per
day of the movie. Barbie was an under two hour film,
so that also helped them have more screenings. Just the thing.

(15:00):
I'm curious to hear our listener's thoughts on this. Eight
hundred seven two one one one eight five. They have
a lot more filming to do, so I just hope
they don't break up. They've only filmed part.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Really, see, I thought they were done filming. They're not
done yet.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
They're almost done with the first movie, but they're filming.
They stupidly split up Wicked into two films. Oh my god, annoyed.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, you can't tell that story in two hours, come on.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Or three hours or three and a half hours. You can.
They're just milking it for money.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
That's stupid. They fucked this thing up already, so it
doesn't even matter because I'm not going to the theater
for two sittings for fucking Wicked.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
I know. I'm so upset about it because on Broadway
Wicked is what like two hours and forty minutes with
an intermission. Even if the movie was three and a
half hours, I would sit in for an for three
and a half hour movie just to make sure it's
just one film. Like, I want the entire story told
in one.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Somebody sitting there for three and a half hours for anybody, Yeah,
that's a whole day.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
I know. So upsetting about that. That's another conversation.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Speaking of movies and actors, Machine Gun Kelly and his
on again fiance, According to the latest reports, they've begun
planning their wedding once more. Machine Gun Kelly and Megan
Fox were at the OC Fair in California when an
altercation happened. At first, we didn't know exactly what went down,

(16:26):
but now we know what happened because one of the
guys in the fight with Machine Gun Kelly spoke out.
Machine Gun Kelly punched this dude after he publicly I'll
just I won't even describe it. I'll just say what
he said. He publicly told Megan Fox that she was

(16:47):
quote beautiful as fuck. Now, is that disrespectful? I would
say it is to say you're beautiful as fuck to
a woman that you know is engaged or with a guy. However,
is that grounds to punch a person? No, that's just stupid.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
In my opinion, I won't even agree with the first part. Okay, look,
if she was some church going fucking saint, and she
didn't curse. When someone's like, Wow, she's beautiful as fuck?
Are you beautiful as fuck? It's a compliment, Okay, there's
no intent there. It's not like it's not like Megan
Fox is gonna go, oh really, I'm gonna fucking leave

(17:27):
my fiance now for you. Is it crass? Yeah? A
little bit? But is it punch worthy crass? Listen if
somebody was like, hey, she's a fucking cunt. Okay, knock
their fucking teeth out. Probably shouldn't do that either, but
at least I would understand it. Beautiful as fuck to
throw punches, get some fucking help.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Could have said shut the fuck up and left and
then had security deal with it.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Let me ask you a question, What the fuck are
they doing at the OC Fair with someone aching for
a corn dog? Why the fuck are they walking around
the o C Fair. You're out in gen pop with
just regular people on a fucking weekend Saturday night, sitting
on a bale of hay.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
What just like us? Sometimes bullshit? I don't know. I
like not that I'm machine Gun Kelly or Megan Fox,
but I've taken my kids to the OC Fair and
things like that.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
You take your kids exactly, that's what a parent does.
They're in their thirties walking around the OC Fair. Did
they have his kids? Did they have her kids with him?

Speaker 3 (18:26):
I don't know that answer, but they might have had
her kids or his daughter as well. They both have kids.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I mean that at least would make sense why they
were there. But I didn't see any kids anywhere. And look,
maybe that's an extra fold into it, like you're there
with your kids and they're close, and then you swear
in front of the kids and you get agitated. But
to the second part of your point, it's still not
a reason to throw fits. I mean, it's just not.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
I don't agree with your take. I love the fair.
I would go to the fair even if I didn't
have kids. You don't like the fair. I love the fair.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I don't like it enough as an adult that I'm
going to go. I like the fair as a kid,
like when I liked corn dogs. What am I gonna
go fucking ride the ferris wheel?

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Like?

Speaker 2 (19:05):
No thanks if I had kids all day, but alone, no.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
No, you go eat all the crazy fair food. That's
why you go.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I don't eat things like this.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
It's just a fun thing to do. Oh I do
I love it all right? Well, hello, yesterday I went
to this. I had fucking pizza cones. Yeah but that's pizza,
and I had like the biggest ravioli and mozzarella sticks,
like gigantic. Anyways, whatever. Doja Cat has deactivated her Threads

(19:36):
account after getting into fights multiple ones with her own fans.
This is no but it's fascinating watching a public figure
continually sabotage their career. I've never been into Doja Cat

(19:57):
as a person. I've always liked her music, right, but
I've always known that she's just not my kind of gal.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
You've always respected the talent, you've loved the songs, but
you've never stood up and said she's a great person.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
I've known that she's not in my opinion, you know,
just just on her past, and she's always been this way.
It's like, not anything new, but I have seen Actually
i'll mention that in a second. So you know, some
fans were chatting with her on threads the Twitter clone
from Instagram meta, and for some reason, the conversation came

(20:34):
up about a nickname for her fans, Kittens with a
Z kittens. Okay, she said, quote, my fans don't name themselves. Shit.
If you call yourself a fucking kitten or fucking kittens,
that means you need to get off your phone and
get a job and help your parents with the house.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
But I agree with her, mean, I happen to agree
with everything she did. Said. She's like, we're naming fan bases.
That's lame, is what she's saying. I don't think she's
even making fun of her fans. I think she's just
saying it's lame.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Okay. Then another fan UH asked her specifically if she
loves her fans. She said, I don't, though, because I
don't even know y'all. How do you respond to that?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I think that's a really sane response. This whole feigning
and pretending like you give a fuck about everybody that
you've never met is silly.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
To me.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
It's silly, and she thinks it's silly too. Maybe I do,
like Dojacat, She's two for two so far.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Tod, I don't like either of those things.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I hate naming fan bases. It's the dumbest thing. Like
fram is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life,
Like Arion Aiters or whatever the fuck that word is,
or Celine Aiders, or it's just so stupid you may
as well put a trophy around your neck that says
I finished first and dumb. I hate it.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Well, that's a you. No, it's Doja Cat too, apparently,
all right, you and Doja CAATs.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
We have listeners. I have listeners. I got people that
you know, follow what we do. It's just a point
of view. I think she's just saying it's dumb. I
think I would have from her, I would have chosen
my words a little better. I don't know if I
would have cursed during it either. I would just say
I personally think naming fan bases is really dumb, and
I'm just happy that you guys are out there enjoying

(22:18):
my music. That's what I would have said, because I
don't want I don't want people calling me something other
than my name.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Well, Dojakat has a new single out that has flopped massively.
Oh yeah, it's called Attention.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
It got no attention.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yeah, I don't even think it cracked the top twenty,
which for her is a disappointment big time. Yeah, all right,
onto more music related news over in Malaysia the nineteen
seventy five were performing, and they have very specific rules
there that are anti LGBTQ plus and Matty Healy from

(22:55):
the nineteen seventy five, from what I understand, was made
away aware of those rules only immediately prior to the performance.
He didn't know about it much in advance. So what
does he do during this festival show. He kisses one
of his bandmates and then as a result of that,

(23:16):
the entire music festival was canceled. Not just their performance
cut off short. The government of Malaysia went ahead and
canceled the whole festival and there was still more days
left of it. Wow, it was a multi day festival
and actually one of the coolest things, you know, after
that ended up happening. You know that artist, the Kid Laroi,

(23:40):
he didn't get a chance to perform. He was staying
at a hotel. He put on an impromptu performance in
the hotel lobby for his fans.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
That's almost way cooler than going to see the Kid
Laroi at a festival. And also some updates in the
wake of this, the nineteen seventy five, We're going to
have some more shows in Asia. I think they had
another show coming up in Taiwan and another show somewhere else.
Maddy Healy has decided to cancel those performances.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Here's what I'll say on all of it. I think
it's fucking rock and roll. I think it's what rock
stars used to do. They used to speak out for injustice,
and they weren't afraid of their own fucking shadow and
fake cancelation and every fucking thing else. I like people
that stand up for shit. He does that, and you
know I'll continue to support them, even when he's always
trying to be fake canceled by the Internet. You can't
cancel the nineteen seventy five. You'd be like trying to

(24:33):
cancel Taylor Swift. You can't do it.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
And I probably wouldn't go to Malaysia now that I'm
reminded of this, Nor would I go to Dubai.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
They got those rules too well.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
They had very similar rules and other rules. I saw
this story recently about how an influencer was arrested in
Dubai after she had some drama with this car rental
company and started screaming at them. All right, maybe you
shouldn't scream at people, but in Dubai, it's illegal for
women to screen at somebody in public.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I wish it was illegal in America. I wish it
was illegal for anyone to scream at anybody. It's it
doesn't accomplish shit.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Oh, I agree, I agree with that. More music related news,
Britney Spears released this new song with will I Am
Dot Dot Dot that has now been confirmed to not
be a new song a long time ago, and only
released it now.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Oh does that make a difference. I mean we didn't
hear it then.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
No, I don't think it makes a difference. But well
for some fans they do think, oh, it sounds so dated,
like they could they could tell that it wasn't recorded. Now.
I wasn't sure until I saw, you know, Brittany was
talking about the song or Britney's team. There was an
alleged interview with Vogue magazine. I'm sure it was either
her manager or agent or publicist.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Somebody sent something to them.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Yeah, And in that alleged Vogue interview that was print only,
Brittany confirmed that have you heard the new Britney song
with what I Am?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I'm gonna ask you is it worth the shit? So?

Speaker 3 (26:07):
It sucks?

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yes, is a great Will I Am Yeah Britney track,
So it's not as good as that. I'm guessing.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
I actually think it was probably supposed to be part
of that song.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Oh really, so you think it's like a part two of.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
That No, Like I'm guessing Will, This is just speculation.
I'm guessing. You know, Will said ad Lib, you know,
just start saying random shit to her twelve years ago
when they recorded work Bitch and Scream and Shout, or
it might have been you know, another song, a demo,
a beast whatever that they never just released. I like
it and I don't like it. You know, they've really

(26:43):
manipulated her voice to the point where if you didn't
know it was Britney when you're first listening to it,
like who is this? Because it doesn't sound like her?
They just filtered, altered, changed. But it's it's dumb fun.
I kind of like it now I've listened to it
a few more times. It's silly, it's dumb fun. I
don't know if it'll be a hit, but I'm just
happy that Brittany keeps releasing music. This one last year,

(27:04):
the song with Elton John, so good for her. There
are two new songs though that I do really like
and I don't even like this person. Zane Malik released
a new song called Love Like This. He mumbles throughout
half of it like I can barely understand what he's saying,
and it doesn't bother me because the song is that good.
It's so enjoyable. It's back to pop, you know. He

(27:25):
had released an album a few years ago that was
his last release that was very weird and experimental, too
much for my liking. So this is like a return
to form and hopefully it does well for him. And
also one of these BTS guys, Young Kook, released a
new song called seven, which I think is a smash.
I was so pleasantly surprised by.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Somebody on that or is it just him?

Speaker 3 (27:47):
I think it's just him. Also, Drake sat down for
an interview with this podcaster, this young hot girl, and
of course he did. He talked about getting married.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
He's not sitting down with two old fucks like us.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Nope, he talked about getting married. Although it's so funny,
what did you who did she have on recently? Oh?
So there's that call Her Daddy podcast, right, and then
there's that other girl that used to be part of
Call Her Daddy, and they had a falling out. Sophia
as the other girl, and Sophia had on Aubrio day recently,

(28:23):
and I watched it and I had very similar and
I'm not being a jealous hater bitch, Okay, I don't understand.
I think those two girls, they might have worked well together,
but individually, neither of them are all that great. I
don't think personally, but the Sophia girl had on aubre

(28:43):
O day and it was the most cringe interview, like
did you ever hear that? Iconic? Like one of my
you all, when you're done listening to this show, you
need to look up on YouTube because it's one of
my all time favorite part of culture moments. Jenny McCarthy
had Tara Reid on her Serious XM show, and there

(29:07):
is just so much tension there and there's clearly some
beef and then they just started insulting each other and
not in like a playful, jokey, fun fake way, like
they really like yeah, like, oh, are you gonna get
any more plastic surgery? Or this or that the other
and it's like and then it's like, I I hope
you had a happy life or whatever. It's one of

(29:28):
the best things ever. And in this interview with Tara
Reid and Sophia Franklin was very similar, like abriy O
Day is like I'm way more famous than you, and
this and that and the other, and it's like and
Aubrey telling the girl like, you've got to stop posting
such ugly Instagram photos.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
It's funny because I try to listen to some of
those shows just to, you know, just to see what
the vibe is, and I don't get it at all,
much like you. I just sit there and I think
it's a specific demo that they've attached themselves to that's
a relatability to them make it like this. It's like

(30:07):
when Dane Cook came out as a comedian, there were
people that ran around like this guy's fucking hilarious. Everybody
should have a pet monkey. I'm like, I don't really
think that's funny, but it captured the imagination of so
many people that weren't me. It's just like a different
way of doing things, and it's that's all I can
It's the only way I could assess it is saying
it's just a different audience. Their audience would never listen

(30:29):
to us. We make too much sense, like we're grown
up or something compared to them. I don't get it,
but somebody does, because they're raking fucking millions.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
The two of them together made a lot of noise
because they had a lot of sex talk. Yeah, I
think when they first when they first started, they really
weren't even interviewing a lot of celebrities or not many.
It was just the two of them talking about their lives.
They put in the work, and then people just became
fans and they were invested, and they just went along
for their journey. So this hot chike that not either

(30:57):
of them is doing well for herself is Bobby Alfoff.
And Drake said he doesn't think he will ever get
married because his work is his priority and he's not
able to commit to a woman and what she would want.
And then he says, maybe eventually he'll get married. But
I just think that's so sad.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
But what do you think it's sad if you are
committed to your art and you just say it's not
in the cards. Meye, because I'm I've deemed this to
be the most important thing to me. I don't know
if it's necessarily sad. I mean he's still having plenty
of action. Yeah, what's he missing out on taking out
the trash on Thursdays?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
I don't know. I just personally want that, like I
would invite that into my life, and he's like just
shutting it down. I don't know, Like it's okay to
say I'm just waiting for that I haven't found the
right one.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I think it's okay to say that I'm not looking
for the right one. I'm looking for the one right now.
And I don't find that to be weird if you've
deemed something more important in your life than that. I
don't know why relationship has to be the most important
thing for everyone to each his om.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
All right quickly. Shakira is under investigation Jesus again for
more alleged tax fraud in Spain.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Does she just have shitty people handle her money? Or
it must be because it's international and it's hard to
keep tabs on because I can't see her sitting there
plotting to fuck all these countries over with her taxes
and this and that. It's probably just confusing.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
I would love to hear from a lawyer or tax expert,
even though I think I know the answer. If you
have a crooked accountant that is doing shady, illegal things
and you're truly not aware of it, are you still
responsible for that.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
You're always responsible for your money. Absolutely no.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
But even if you were not aware that your accountant did.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Happen all of the time, that's why you have to
find reputable people to represent you.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
All right, Two last things, then we'll take some calls. First,
Prince Harry and Meg and Markel. According to reports, Harry
and Megan have already been looking for new homes in Malibu.
We don't know if they're going to permanently move to
Malibu or they just want another house in addition to

(33:17):
their Montecito mega mansion, and insiders claim that they want
that because Megan and Harry just want to be closer
to Hollywood and opportunities there. Those rumors that Harry and
Meghan might be struggling financially, I don't think are true.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
No, fuck out. He's got Prince money, okay. He has
land that his family has owned since the beginning of time.
He's got plenty of money. I don't think money's ever
going to be a problem for them for him anyhow,
I don't know about her.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
And finally, I mean, we have so much stuff additionally,
but we don't have time to get to it all.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Get the Patreon folks.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I will just talk about this last one because I
said I would, or I'll just talk about it on Thursday.
I'll give a tease. There's this interesting story about McDonald's
and the hot chicken nuggets, which I think could be
an interesting topic to talk about, So we'll talk about
that Thursday. We'll talk about some updates with Carly Russell,
some Bethany Frankel drama, and some Kiin Kardashian news and

(34:18):
more coming up which we just did not have time
to cover at all. But let's take some calls.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Hey guys, Elson, Jersey patrem supporter, you were just talking
about the Barbie movie. Agree, the marketing.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Campaign is amazing, looks amazing.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Do you think they're pushing so hard with the marketing.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Because the film is coming out the same day as
the new Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer movie.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Well, it's funny how they marketed those two together, Like
what do they call it? Barbie Barbenheimer something that. And
it should be noted that that Oppenheimer movie made eighty
million dollars. That was the original projection for Barbie. Okay,
so that movie extremely well.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
I'm looking forward to seeing and it's an R rated film,
so yeah, R rated movie. That's very well.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
It proves that if you make good movies, people will
show up, you know. And I know they marketed the
crap out of both of them, and there's an actor
strike and it doesn't look like a lot of great
things are on the horizon. But uh, if you make
good things, people will show up, you know. Just stop
with the fucking superhero movies, fucking Hollywood, like it's over.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Yeah, I loved superhero films, but I'm already I'm I'm
superheroed out.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
You said that, you said you got the fatigue now, Like, yeah,
I got the fatigue of looking at people going to
the fucking movies. Like enough, how about let's focus on
the real world, like Barbie World.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Barbie still is based on something that we all know
like and so is Oppenheimer. It would be really cool
to have like a movie that's like a huge, mega
success that's a brand new, just holy original thing, not
from an existing book, not from an existing toy or

(36:00):
this or that or another but like something that just
captures our imagination. Remember the hysteria in the nineties around
the Blair Witch Project. I think that's still the most
successful film of all time in terms of profit because
they did it, like on a no budget, like forty.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Seven dollars to make that movie, and it made millions.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Hundreds of millions.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
I think, well, I want something more along the lines
of it. I don't mind if it's from a book.
I want imagination, like a Forrest Gump. That, to me,
is one of the most perfect movies ever made. It
showed so much imagination and I just like seeing that.
Maybe Barbie is a good example of that. But make
good stuff. I'll consider going to your theater. Here we go.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
It's you're calling from Toronto, Canada. I just wondering, Booker.
I know you watch a lot of shows. Just wondering
if you're watching Pilo on Apple Plus and Platane on
Apple Plus with Seth Brogan and Patreon subscribers.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
So thank show, thank.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
You, thank you. I feel like unplugging my Apple Plus.
I don't know if there's anything great on it, so
it's good to hear two suggestions. Maybe I'll poke around
and check those out. I started the New Justified. I
loved him at the Ola fun and if you guys
never watched the first round of them, it's easy fun.
He's a US Marshall outside of like Washington or West Virginia,

(37:23):
kind of in the hills and the hollers and everything else.
And I love that they brought that show back and
it feels exactly like the first round. So I'm enjoying that.
I'm trying to think if there's anything else I'm watching. No,
that's really it, but I'll give those shows a look.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
All right. Well, thank you everybody. Eight hundred and seventy
