Breaking news! Sometimes life is hard and work isn’t fun. People who handle that fact like a boss have something called grit, the ability to gut it out in order to achieve a long-term goal. Cheryl’s drink: Aviation cocktail
· 2 ounces gin
· 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
· 1/4 ounce creme de violette
· 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
· Garnish: brandied cherry
Add the gin, maraschino liqueur, creme de violette and lemon juice to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Stasha’s drink: Hemingway Daiquiri
· 1 oz white rum
· 0.5 oz grapefruit juice
· 0.75 oz lime juice
· 0.25 maraschino cherry juice (or other sweet juice)
· 0.5 oz simple syrup
· Lime and cherry garnish
Combine liquids in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Strain into martini or coupe style cocktail glass. Garnish with lime and/or cherry
