Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today we are covering
a topic that is near and dear
to my heart.
We're talking about B-School.
Now I know you're like well,Crystal, this is a podcast about
content and podcasting andmarketing and strategy.
Why are we talking aboutB-School and what the heck is
(00:22):
B-School?
So I took this program in 2019.
It is B-School with MarieForleo, if you've never heard of
it.
And it was actually in February, Like I have the whole timeline
because I've been planning thisepisode, really excited about
it.
But that was when I made adecision that literally changed
(00:44):
everything about my businessEverything, Because before then
I didn't really have a business.
I really didn't.
I was just like in the throwthe spaghetti against the wall
stage.
I was kind of blogging, kind oftrying to grow my email list.
I had done some public speaking, which we can chat about that.
But to be honest, I was justterrified, Like what the heck am
(01:06):
I actually doing?
And the initial hesitation wasinvesting in B-School because it
was a lot of money.
Okay, like for a stay-at-homemom.
I'd just been a stay-at-homemom, I just started my podcast
the year before.
I didn't have much to investlike money-wise, and that felt
(01:28):
like a lot of pressure to justmake this work.
So in this entire episode today, I'm really going to break down
exactly to the T how B-Schoolhelped me shift my mindset,
scale my business in ways that Ihadn't really even thought
about and really ultimatelybuild the brand and the revenue
streams that I have today, because if I wouldn't have taken
(01:51):
those steps back in the daythen we would not be here.
So if you're on the fence aboutB-School you've taken B-School
then I'm gonna take you downjust sharing my whole story and
hopefully you can relate to thisas well and I would love to
hear from because I know we haveseveral B-School alumni in this
community.
If you're watching on YouTube, let us know in the comments.
If you're listening on thepodcast, like, send me a DM on
(02:13):
Instagram.
I wanna know your story too, because it's been something
that's been fundamental inhelping me in my business and I
can't believe it's been sixyears since I originally signed
up and I have so much of myjourney to share with you today.
So we're going to do somerewinding.
We're going to go back throughthe archives and talk about the
(02:37):
different things that havehappened along the way the
milestones have been achieved, but also the mindset that has
happened since I joined.
So let's get right to it.
Welcome to the Profit Podcast, where we teach you how to start,
launch and market your contentwith confidence.
I'm your host, Crystal Profit, and I'm so excited that you're
(02:57):
here.
Thanks for hanging out with metoday, because if you've been
trying to figure out the worldof content creation, this is the
show that will help be yourtime-saving shortcut.
So let's get right to it, shallwe?
And welcome back Crystal here.
I am your podcast coach andcontent strategist and, like I
(03:19):
said, we have a fun topic todaybecause we're doing things a
little bit differently.
We're talking about B-School,which, if you've heard me talk
to Marie Forleo we've had her onthe podcast before which, again
, is so crazy If you would havetold me six years ago.
You are going to interviewMarie Forleo.
(03:39):
You're going to have AmyPorterfield on this podcast.
You're going to have theseindustry titans come on to your
show, your little bitty babyshow that you just started, that
you have no idea what you'redoing.
I would have said, yeah, right,it's not happening.
But this episode today is reallytalking about where I was
before I joined.
(04:00):
Of course, I'm like reallyshouting for the rooftops.
I'm a proud affiliate forB-School and we're getting
really close to enrollment whenthis episode goes live, and I
want to share my journey becauseit is one of those programs
that is pivotal in the successof my business and where I am
today, and that's why I createdthis whole episode today, as
(04:22):
well as some other fun thingsI'm going to share behind the
scenes that we've just beendoing for the last few years,
and I'm just really excited totalk about it.
So let's dive in.
No more like talking about whatwe're going to talk about.
Let's just get to it.
So the first thing that I wantto talk about is why I enrolled.
Why did you do this, Crystal?
Right Like, why was this thething that you thought was going
(04:42):
to help you?
But for me, it was really thesearch for clarity.
I've already mentioned thisbefore and I've said it a
million times I started my wholejourney blogging and I was a
terrible blogger.
Okay, I have no problem callingmyself that I was not a great
blogger.
I was not a great writer.
I took this blogging course in2018 2018 and it was fantastic.
(05:06):
It was a fantastic bloggingcourse.
It showed me all the littlepieces of how to put a website
together how to write blog posts, but at the end of the day I
was like, oh, I'm not a blogger.
I'm not a blogger because whatI started doing was dictating,
Like I'd go into Google Docs andturn on voice typing and I was
speaking my blog post and thenrealized, oh, this needs to be a
(05:31):
podcast, this actually needs tobe turned into a podcast,
Because then I also saw peoplemaking money with podcasts.
So that was like clue numbertwo like you're not a great
writer, you speak better andpeople are actually making money
whenever they have theirpodcast probably way faster.
And the other thing withblogging was everyone was just
(05:51):
monetizing through AdSense.
Everyone was just like GoogleAdSense, you got to get a ton of
traffic.
You got to do keyword stuffingand all these things that people
were doing that were you know,it's not like it's illegal, but
they're definitely not greatways for you to have a ton of
traffic to your website.
So if you've ever been awebsite that has a bajillion
pop-ups, you know exactly whatI'm talking about.
(06:12):
But I needed clarity, and sowhat I really needed was a coach
.
I needed a business coach andat the time, Amy Porterfield was
the person that I trusted themost.
And so to see Amy and Marieteam up and Amy was an affiliate
for B-School at the time andshe had this incredible package
(06:33):
that allowed, you know, coachingsessions and hot seats and I
was like, okay, I'm getting twoincredible experts for the price
of one.
Yes, I'm going to do this.
And so that was really the gamechanger for me.
So I'd been following Amy for afew years probably about the
same amount of time that I'vebeen following Marie and her hot
seat coaching was the.
(06:55):
It's why we're sitting heretoday and I've shared this
picture so many times that Ihave, of Amy and I in our
coaching session.
And I go, I was sweating so bad.
I was sweating Like, oh my gosh, like my heart was pounding.
I was like my palms are sweaty.
I was just like, oh my gosh, like I'm about to speak to Amy
(07:15):
Porterfield, I'm going to soundlike such an idiot, Like so many
things running through my head.
But it was in that coachingsession and I it's so funny
because I have peers that I'mfriends with that are like I
still remember your coachingsession with Amy and she told
you to go all in on podcastingand to be the voice in
(07:35):
podcasting and your industry andI just it's the moment that
changed everything, and I knowmost people can't say that
everything boiled down to onesingular moment.
I can.
Everything that has happened inmy business boils down to this
one coaching session that I hadwith Amy where she challenged me
(07:56):
, she pushed me out of mycomfort zone to go all in on
podcasting, and it was throughthis B-School coaching call and
I mean podcasting, and it wasthrough this B-School coaching
call and I mean I haven't lookedback.
I haven't looked back.
So I got clarity right.
That's why I enrolled.
I was looking for clarity in mybusiness.
I was looking for someone thathad expertise in this industry
and it wasn't just Marie, I alsohad Amy and that's like match
(08:19):
made in heaven for me personallyand it's just been.
It's been a roller coaster eversince then and it's been such a
fun ride.
But that's the first thing weneeded to cover.
The second thing is what mybusiness looked like before
B-School Um little to no money, let's just be honest like very,
very, very minimal revenuecoming in.
(08:41):
I mean I was getting someaffiliate, uh, some affiliate
buys from, uh, Amazon, likepeople clicking on links I'm
recommending books and thingslike that.
It was very minimal.
I was also, uh, didn't have anysystems and I didn't have a
clear direction.
Again, I was like where am Igoing?
It's the spaghetti against thewall.
And at the time, I was barelymaking anything.
(09:01):
Um, I it wasn't hundreds orthousands of dollars.
Are you kidding me?
Making $10,000 in a single day?
That was a total pipe dream.
Total pipe dream whenever I wasstarting my business.
And maybe that's where you aretoday.
Maybe you're listening to thisand like oh my gosh, you've made
(09:23):
10,000.
Yes, I've made $20,000 actuallyin a single day.
And to say that out loud, the2019 version of me is saying no,
you didn't.
That's incredible.
That's amazing, and I stillhave that perspective of who I
was.
Before this, I had less than 400Instagram followers.
I know that I had less thanlike 400 Instagram followers.
(09:44):
I know that I had maybe maybe100 people on YouTube.
Like, I think at that point, you had to have at least 100
subscribers on YouTube to evenget like your URL or your name.
Like you couldn't pick your at,like mine is at Crystal Profit.
I couldn't even get that untilI had 100 subscribers, and I
(10:05):
don't think that I had that in2019.
And so I had a tiny email listmaybe maybe 100 people on there
and a Facebook group that hadunder 200 people.
It was very small, very much sowhere some of you are today,
and that's okay, Because again,we're rolling back time, Like
(10:26):
we're looking back into the pastand saying, okay, things looked
a lot different.
I didn't have systems in place.
Are you kidding me?
Oh, my gosh, I hadn't done alot of like the deep work of
decluttering or getting rid of abunch of stuff, or not holding
onto things Like no, no,everything was a mess.
Everything was a mess Like Ican't even imagine, because I've
(10:47):
done so much work in timemanagement and decluttering that
I can't like it.
It gives me like hives to thinkabout how disorganized my
business was before B-School andall the things that I just I
didn't know, Y'all, I didn'tknow what I didn't know, and I
think that that's the grace thatwe need to extend to ourselves.
So if you're there right nowand you feel like it's total
(11:08):
chaos, you don't know what youdon't know, and that is okay.
So don't beat yourself up toobad if you are feeling like
you're stuck or you're in thisplace of being overwhelmed,
because that's really what itwas.
I didn't have systems in placefor funnels.
I didn't have.
I had a digital course.
It was not selling.
So that's that's another storyfor another day.
(11:28):
But I wasn't even sure that mypayments were set up properly to
make money.
This is how bad it was, y'all.
I was overwhelmed and I was oninformation overwhelm and I just
was like trying to devour allthese different pieces of
content.
They didn't make sense or theywere contradictory and I kept
asking myself like am I supposedto be growing my audience?
Am I supposed to be monetizingit?
(11:49):
Do I create the product first?
Who am I talking to?
I just had all the questionsand no one really to ask those
specific questions to.
So the next part of the story isreally talking about the early
days of B-School and what thatlooked like in the first 30 days
.
Okay, let's say I put in mycredit card information from
(12:11):
that day to the first 30 days.
This is how I treated mybusiness and B-School.
I showed up like I was taking acollege class.
I truly did.
And in college and in highschool I mean I was this person.
I mean I don't know if this isshocking to anybody, but I was
the person.
I was still a planner.
I like to know, like ahead oftime, like, okay, I'm going to
(12:33):
sit down, this is when quizzesare due, this is when you know I
have tests.
This is my midterms, this iswhen a project's due.
Like, I was that person, Like Idid plan everything out and I
set aside time to watch all ofthe videos and then go back and
do the exercises in the funsheets this is what Marie calls
them in B-School.
(12:54):
They're called fun sheets andreally they're PDFs.
They're PDF guides to help youthink through things more deeply
.
There's spaces to journal, there is just like all the
things that you need.
So you watch the videos withMarie and then you go through
and do the lessons.
Well, I watched all the videos.
I was like, okay, I'm not evengoing to pause to look at the
lessons, I'm just going to watchall the videos and I would
(13:14):
devour them because at the time, remember, I was still staying
at home.
I would do it at nap time, or Iwould do it at nap time, or I
would do it when my son was atMother's Day out, which he did
that twice a week, and I wouldhave a few hours and I'm like,
okay, I'm just remember, I'mshowing up, this is my college
course, this is my program.
Like this is my only job rightnow is to understand what the
(13:34):
heck am I going to do for thisbusiness to make it work?
Because, remember, my husbandand I, we just made this big
investment and I was like thisis going to work.
I have to show up in order forthis to happen.
And let me tell you, Marie'senergy made it so easy to keep
watching.
I binge-watched all of hercontent because it was easy.
(13:57):
And then, alongside that, I hadAmy with accountability
check-in calls and like, hey, how's your business going?
Did you get through this module?
What do you think about thatlesson?
Like, share your work.
So the fun sheets, along withAmy's coaching and just taking
it all seriously, really helpedme show up in a big way, and I
(14:17):
think that that's really whatmade all the difference in that
first 30 days.
And one of my biggest ahamoments was going through the
exercises.
And I still have my fun sheets.
I've shared these in previousvideos.
I still have my 2019 B-Schoolnotebook.
Yes, I printed all my funsheets.
They are all there.
I have the writing.
(14:38):
I have like everything that Iput in there.
And what is so awesome is Ihave the business I have today
because I did that work in 2019.
And I got so clear on who I'mserving, what I'm trying to
accomplish, all the differentproducts and services that I
could do.
I did all that initialbrainstorming with the help of
(15:01):
B-School and Marie, like goingthrough those exercises, that
now I have this business todayand it is exactly exactly how I
envisioned it back then.
Sure, some pieces look a littlebit different, but in the grand
scheme of things, it is what Iwrote down on those pieces of
paper in 2019.
How crazy is that?
(15:23):
It's so like it still.
It blows my mind when I lookback at all those fun sheets.
So in the first 30 days, I haveto say I accomplished a lot, and
in the next piece, we'retalking about the biggest
mindset shift.
This was competing with myself,so I actually, in preparation
for this episode today, I hadChad GPT.
(15:45):
I was like you know what?
We've created episodes aboutB-School before because I've
been an affiliate, for I thinkthis is my fourth year of
promoting B-School and we'vetalked about the program before.
We've talked about, you knowthe benefits of joining and we
told my story and all this otherstuff.
I was like but ask me questionsthat really pull out different
pieces of my story that myaudience would appreciate.
(16:07):
And this was the one.
So it was the mindset shift ofoh, I'm just competing with
myself.
I saw the Jenna Kutcher's andthe Pat Flynn's and the John Lee
Dumases and the people thatwere quote my competitors and
instead of saying I was just inthis constant state of
(16:28):
comparison, I'm not good enough,I don't have a big enough
audience, I don't have enoughrevenue, I don't have these
opportunities, yada, yada, yada.
Right, we all do this.
I was just saying I am notenough all the time.
But what happened is there'sthis exercise in B-School where
you learn to position yourselfas oh no, you're just competing
(16:50):
with yourself year over year.
You're not in direct comparisonwith these other people that,
yeah, they may be, on paper, your competitors, but in reality
, I'm just competing with myself.
Therefore, I have my blinderson.
I don't care what everyone elsein the industry is doing,
because I'm just comparing mydownloads to my downloads, my
(17:13):
revenue to my revenue, myaudience size compared to last
year, instead of what someoneelse is doing, because that's
all I can control.
I can't control what everyoneelse does.
I can only control how I showup and how I keep serving my
audience.
So that mindset was huge.
(17:33):
It was huge and it completelychanged how I position
everything in my business.
So that was just.
I mean, if you haven't gottenthere, if you're in this
constant state of comparison orFOMO or whatever it is, I
challenge you to just be incompetition with yourself,
because it's the bestcompetition there is.
(17:55):
I love looking back again andlooking at my milestones and
being able to say, oh my gosh, like who knew?
Who knew that you could do that?
It's like I'm cheering myselfon.
In a previous version I waslike you go, girl, Like that was
fantastic, but also I'm goingto beat you this year, Like I'm
going to take you down because Ilove having that competitive
(18:15):
spirit.
But again it's with myself.
It's like I'm talking to myself.
Y'all are like oh, Crystal'sreally gone crazy.
Well, you know, it's fine, it'sfine, I don't mind.
I don't mind if you call mecrazy, because at the end of the
day, like I said, I've builtthe business of my dreams and
that's pretty freaking awesome.
But let's talk about theturning point.
So what was the thing wheneverything clicked and what was
(18:37):
the big takeaway.
So for me, I had taken ablogging course.
I've talked about this before,I've talked about this many
times already.
Where I was still stuck wasunderstanding how all the pieces
work together.
I understood okay, you writethis thing, you upload it to
WordPress, you put it there, youdo these SEO things, yada, yada
(18:58):
, yada.
But it still didn't really makesense to me until Marie
explained it.
You know how, when people saylike oh, you know, yada, but it
still didn't really make senseto me until Marie explained it.
You know how, when people saylike oh, you know, like I've
told you, know, maybe your momor your spouse or your partner
or your best friend or whatever, you could tell them the same
thing 17 times.
But then they hear it fromsomeone else and they're just
like oh my gosh, you would notbelieve.
(19:19):
You know so-and-so told me, youknow about this thing, and
you're like I've been tellingyou that every single day for
the last two months and you justdecide that you're going to
listen to them.
Well, that's kind of whathappened with me.
I had been listening, I'd gonethrough that other blogging
course and heard everything, butit was like in one ear, not the
other, but when Marie explainedSEO and websites and how
(19:42):
keywords work, it was just likemagic, magic.
All of a sudden it just clicked.
It made sense.
I don't know why it worked theway that she broke it down, but
it was like oh, I get it.
Now I get it.
This completely makes sense tome.
So if you've had these reallyambiguous things maybe it's tech
(20:06):
, maybe it's marketing, maybeit's email marketing, maybe it's
content, like whatever piecesof your business that you're
trying to figure out and it'sjust not sticking I challenge
you to learn from someone whoyou're encouraged by, who you're
motivated by, because that'swho Marie is to me.
I was watching her MarieTVYouTube channel for a while
(20:29):
before I ever considered joiningB-School and I was like, man,
she is so funny and she is justall over the place.
She dances, she puts in thatexplicit content every once in a
while where she just drops anF-bomb and I'm like that was so
well-timed and, yes, thatabsolutely made me more
motivated than I was before shesaid it, and so I just loved her
(20:52):
teaching and her style.
So maybe that's why it clickedfor me, but that was just
something that made a really bigimpact.
And when I think about thebigger pieces of why B-School
was such an impact on mepersonally, I was pushed out of
my comfort zone.
I was taught to think biggerand think about just not where I
(21:15):
am right now, like the problemsthat I'm facing today, like
what web host should I use, orwhat domain should I have, or
which email service provider?
No, no, no, it was like theseare baby problems.
Once we get these figured out,we don't need to worry about
those things anymore becausewe're trying to climb a mountain
.
Right, we're not just trying togo over the molehill, we're
(21:37):
looking at the Mount Everest ofbusinesses and saying how are we
going to scale this thing?
How are we going to continue togrow?
And she challenged me from thebeginning to think bigger.
And I think if I hadn't beenpushed like that, I would still
be in this small mindedmentality of like, oh, I can
only make $100 a month with mycontent, or maybe $20 here and
(22:01):
there from these affiliatethings that I'm promoting, and
I'm like, no, we're talkingabout $20,000.
Days Like this is what we'rechasing today.
We're not looking at theselittle minuscule things.
But that's where I was.
I was trapped.
I was trapped in these moneymindsets.
So having her really expand myreach and thinking about things
(22:22):
bigger really helped me and itpushed me out of my comfort zone
in a really big way.
But the last thing I kind ofwant to talk about actually, I
have two more things I wanted tocover and it's how B-School
helped me scale my business.
So for this piece, I actuallygot tangible results since I
took it so I told you this hasbeen six years since I initially
(22:43):
had that catalyst moment withAmy and Marie and to date I've
done so many awesome things, andthis is where it feels a little
weird to be bragging about whatI've done.
But really, what this is is I'mjust showing you the roadmap
for where I was to where I amtoday.
(23:04):
So in 2019, I rebranded mypodcast and went from the Rookie
Life to the Profit Podcast, which now today is in the top
1.5% of all the millions ofpodcasts that are out there,
which I am dang proud of.
I love saying that.
Then, in 2020, so just a yearlater I wrote an Amazon
(23:25):
bestselling book Start, aBinge-Worthy Podcast.
That continues to be somethingthat circulates and is part of
my business and I getcompliments.
All the time.
People tell me like, oh, Ifound you because of your book
and I've read your book or I'velistened to your audio book, so
that's really cool.
Then, in 2021, I spoke on stageat Podcast Movement for the
first time, because I'veactually been there more than
(23:47):
once.
And then I spoke at PodFest.
I've spoken at she Podcast Iactually did all three of those
in one year and I spoke atRamsey Solutions, which y'all,
this is one of those.
So I don't often talk about thisbecause it's kind of more like
on the personal side, but myhusband and I did Financial
(24:07):
Peace University with DaveRamsey.
I mean, I'm trying to think itwas in 2014.
So this is way, way back right.
This is.
This is more than a decade ago.
We did Financial PeaceUniversity and we just became
super fans of all the thingsthat he taught, and from then,
we had been like I'd met ChrisHogan, who was talking about
(24:28):
retirement stuff.
I'd met him in person at a booksigning.
I have met George Camel, RachelCruz, John Deloney, Christy
Wright, like all of these peoplethat were part of the Ramsey
Solutions team.
I had the opportunity to gothere and meet them and I have.
I know I have some content andwe'll link to it in the show
notes about how this opportunitycame about, but basically I
(24:51):
received an email that I was forsure, for sure, that it was
spam.
I was like somebody is tryingto get me to click on links here
.
I'm not going to do that, because I was invited to come
speak at their conference forinfluencers, which was around
100 to 150 people.
It was a very small group andwe got to speak on stage and I
(25:11):
ended up being a top 10 speaker,a top 10 speaker at a Ramsey
Solution event.
Y'all this was never on myradar when I wrote all of these
hopes and dreams down forB-School in 2019.
Never, Never, would I thoughtthat two years later, I would be
on stage in front of DaveRamsey's whole team speaking on
(25:35):
stage.
That's wild to me.
That's wild.
And then so those are like thebig highlights, the smaller
things that impact me day to day.
Today, I have two part-timeemployees.
They're contractors that workfor me and if you would have
told me again in 2019, you'regoing to have people that work
for you, I'm going to be likewhat?
What are you talking about?
(25:55):
And I've built partnershipswith brands like KIT, Buzzsprout
Riverside, Amy Porterfield.
I've gone on to be an affiliatefor Amy and her programs.
I've hosted book signing eventsfor her and I have just done so
many fun collaborations andpartnerships with Amy.
I've taught in her momentumcommunity and I've just had some
(26:18):
leaders like Amy and Marie.
We've had Kelly Roach on theshow, We've had Steph Taylor.
I feel like I'm still justgetting started Again, going
back to thinking bigger.
I can sit here and celebrateall these milestones and also
say, y'all, I'm just gettingstarted.
I never would have had thatmentality six or seven years ago
(26:42):
because I was just so stuck.
And how do I even get started?
Like what does this even looklike?
So I'm here to tell you thattaking those baby steps can
continue to snowball and funnelinto the next thing, into the
next thing, into things that younever even imagined would
happen.
Y'all, I never thought I wouldtravel to Scottsdale, Arizona,
(27:04):
to speak on the she Podcaststage.
I never thought I would go toNashville multiple times in one
year, have the opportunity tospeak on the podcast movement
stage and talk to Mark Cuban, because he was there and I got
to ask him a question what thatwas not on my bingo card that
was going to happen, or go toVegas to speak at Podcast
(27:28):
Movement Evolutions and I meanit's just, it's so crazy to me
the things that have happened.
But I'll wrap up in saying I goback through B-School every
single year, and that isintentional, that is by design.
I go back through B-Schoolevery single year, and that is
intentional, that is by design.
I go back through when I haveaffiliates that join B-School
through me and we go back andrevisit every single piece of it
(27:51):
.
We're like, okay, this is thething that made all the
difference.
Pay attention to this here.
Here's why I got stuck.
Here's where you know let'savoid those mistakes, or do you
have questions on this?
So there's a reason why I goback because it's timeless, it's
content that you need to berefreshed on at least once a
year, and so I go back throughit.
It's the basics, it's thebuilding blocks of my business
(28:15):
to this day.
I go back and I look at, hey, Ineed to update this stuff on my
website.
I forgot about this becauseit's been over a year.
So let me go back and zhuzh itup a little bit.
Or let me revisit my welcomesequence for my emails, or let
me look at other opportunitiesor collaborations that I had
forgot about, but I wrote themdown, but let's look at them
(28:37):
again.
So B-School is really it's asmart investment if you are
looking to not just createcontent, because I know some of
you are like Crystal.
You've been talking about this,but I'm just a podcaster.
I just wanna be a YouTuber.
I just wanna do this.
I'm talking to those of youthat want to have a business
Like you want to create abusiness out of your podcast,
(29:00):
out of your YouTube content, outof whatever course that you're
creating, out of your coaching.
Business Like B-School has somany of those elements that can
really make a big impact oneverything that you're thinking
about and it can help you reallyattract those things that you
don't even know are in therecesses of your brain as dreams
(29:21):
, Because that's how I feelthere's just been things that
have come to the surface that Ijust never even thought I would
be able to stand there and meetDave Ramsey and shake his hand
and sit behind the little deskthat they have there at Ramsey
Studios and be able to say thisis really cool to be here.
Never in my wildest dreams wasthat on my radar or that my
(29:45):
business would pay for all ofthose expenses to go out there,
to all of these.
So that's another perk wedidn't even talk about is what
has my business been able toafford my family and the
different things that we've beenable to do because I got
started.
It's just, it's been incredible.
I'm so grateful for B-Schooland the things that we've been
able to do because I got started.
It's just, it's been incredible.
I'm so grateful for B-Schooland the things that I've been
(30:05):
able to do.
But I encourage you to check itout.
I really do, If you are analumni of B-School.
Again, I want to hear from you.
Send me a DM, Send me an email,Reply to one of our emails if
you're on our email list, because I want to know what have
you found most helpful.
I would love to share it in anupcoming email and an upcoming
(30:29):
dynamic content that we share onthe podcast.
We're always putting outpodcast ads.
I would love to share, maybe, your specific story to tell
other people Y'all.
There are thousands andthousands and thousands of
success stories through B-School, which is so incredible.
So I want you to go check it out.
I want you to go tocrystalprofitcom forward slash
B-School and you're going tofind all the information about
(30:51):
what our affiliate package lookslike.
Depending on when you'relistening to this, B-School
enrollment may actually not evenbe open.
It doesn't open until February13th but Marie is doing a free
training when this episode airs.
It's called the Dream BusinessBootcamp.
So if you want to learn fromMarie, you want to learn about
Marie, then you're going to finda link to that.
(31:11):
It's also crystalprofitcomforward slash DBB for Dream
Business Bootcamp and I can'twait for you to just experience
Marie in the way that I had theopportunity to.
And if you're interested inlearning from me, if you want me
to be your Amy and give youthat hot seat coaching, give you
that one-on-one feedback, Iwould love to see you in our
(31:34):
cohort for 2025 and see what youcan do with your business and
your content.
But I'm gonna link to weactually have previous
interviews that I did.
I did a strategy coaching callthat we aired in 2023.
I'm gonna link to that.
We did the two interviews withMarie, so those are already fun.
(31:54):
Those are already podcastepisodes and YouTube videos that
you can go back and watch ifyou wanna know more about Marie
and I also get this question alot like well, Crystal, should I
do Marie Forleo's B-School orshould I do DCA with Amy
Porterfield?
I get this question all thetime, so I created a video about
it.
I should probably update it.
I mean, it's still the same.
It's the same advice that Iwould give, but if you want to
(32:16):
know which one I only have somuch budget which one should I
buy?
That video is going to be superhelpful for you.
So my call to action for youtoday is to think about what are
the ways that you are going toinvest in your business this
year.
Right?
It's that old adage of you gotto spend money to make money,
but for me, I like to adapt itand say you got to invest in
(32:37):
yourself if you want to see theoutcome of the person that you
are going to be.
Right, it's the person that youare becoming.
What's holding you back?
What's holding you back fromdoing that?
Because one thing I didn't evenshare is when I made this
investment in B-School.
I made my money back in lessthan six months, which was
shocking to me and my husband.
(32:58):
He was like whoa, like wealready, we already paid all
that off.
I was like, yeah, like it'sdone, Like we.
We made that back Like thatthat money, like it was gone for
a second and now it's back andsome.
I actually made some more moneyafter that initial investment.
So I can tell you I made areturn on my investment and I
believe that you can too.
If you can show up, you canreally do the work and again
(33:23):
treat it like it's a collegeclass.
Treat it like it's the thingthat's going to help you in your
business, because I think thatit really truly can.
So go to crystalprofitcomforward slash DBB to register
