Twelve years in the NFL with the Giants and Rams, he recorded 104 sacks, and in 1974 co-led the Rams with 15 sacks. A member of one of the most dominate defenses of the seventies. Including helping lead the Rams to a Super Bowl XIV Rose Bowl showdown with the powerful Pittsburgh Steelers. He then transitioned to a long and successful acting career, best known for his long NBC action series playing the iconic LA detective "Hunter". We talked about his big break on "Cheers", and his love for acting. Of course many Rams stories, including the 1979 Super Bowl played in his stomping grounds of Southern California.
