In 1979 a member on the last of six (6) College Football National Championship Teams under Legendary Crimson Tide Head Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. A College All -American DB who set the career interception mark at Alabama with 16 picks.
He was part of the famous 1987 AFC Championship Game between the Broncos and the Browns, now known as "The Fumble' Game. He separated the ball from Browns running back Ernest Byner before he could cross the goal line, catapulting Denver into Super Bowl XXII.
