September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month —a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized and often taboo topic. No one is exempt from suicide, and it is the second leading cause of death among youth ages 15-24. Approximately one out of every 15 high school students reports attempting suicide each year. We must shine a light on a topic that is often kept in the dark. Our guest therapist Amy R Miller brings a rich set of tools to help address this sensitive topic. She has a passion for working with teenagers, women, and families that have been affected by trauma. Amy's philosophy is it is good in everyone. Sometimes we all need a little help to bring the good to the surface. Amy is certified to provide relationship trauma repair (RTR) and trauma-informed services.
