You’re showing up. You’ve done the mindset work. You’re taking aligned action. But the vision still isn’t landing the way you expected and you're wondering what you're missing.

In this episode of The Sheila Botelho Show, we explore 5 powerful truths about why timelines often unfold differently than we plan and how each of these can become an opportunity for clarity, healing, and deeper alignment. I open up about my own experience of navigating a long-held desire that took six years to materialize, and how letting go of outdated beliefs, habits, and internalized expectations actually magnetized the very things I’d been working toward.

If you’re a navigating your own version of “in-between,” this episode offers the clarity and calm you didn’t know you needed and a practical reminder that creating space is sometimes the most strategic move you can make. Plus, be sure to get your hands on the Vision Map tool to anchor your next season.

Sheila (00:01):
Ever wondered why the thing you've been manifesting
hasn't shown up yet, even thoughyou've done the vision board,
the inner work and taken theaction?
This delay is likely notpunishment, but it might just be
alignment in progress.
I'll walk you through fivethings I've witnessed and lived
recently that shift the timelineof your desires, and I'll show
you how honoring these canactually pull what you want

(00:24):
closer, possibly with more easethan you can imagine.
Hi, welcome to the podcast.
I'm Sheila Botelho, holisticbusiness strategist, creator of
the Season Success Method andyour guide to growing success
from the inside out.
Something I've really beensitting with lately and living
through is how our timelinesalmost never go how we expect,

(00:47):
and yet they always teach ussomething that we would have
missed if things had happenedseemingly on time.
If you listen to episode 529, Ishared that I'm in the midst of
a few personal transitions, ones I'll be talking more about
in the weeks to come.
But what I didn't share then, and what I want to explore here,
is how different myrelationship to timelines has

(01:09):
become over the past six years, because six years ago, that's
when the clarity, or at leastthe seeds to it, first arrived
on what I really wanted, the wayI wanted to live the deeper
purpose I wanted to embody and, like so many of us, I thought

(01:29):
okay, I've got the vision, let'sgo.
But what actually happened?
A whole lot of unfolding, andnot just in business, but in my
body, with my family, in my body, with my family and with my

(01:50):
beliefs.
So many layers had to move.
And here's what I found.
There are five very real thingsthat can shift your timeline,
and when you start working withthem instead of fighting them,
things start to click into placeso much faster.
The first is the circumstancesaround you need to align.
You may be ready right now, butthe opportunity, the support,

(02:15):
the next step may still bemoving in place and you don't
have control over that part.
So instead of pushing harder,it becomes about staying ready
so that when the moment doesopen, you're not exhausted from
effort, you're present andyou're prepared.

(02:35):
The second is your willingnessto be open to something new.
Sometimes the thing that wouldactually help us the most looks
familiar, it feels inconvenientand it challenges what we're
used to.
But when I started openingmyself up to receiving help in
new ways or connecting with thenew types of people, or even

(02:58):
letting go of strategies thatwere looking like they worked on
the outside but draining meinside.
That is when things started toshift.
Number three and this one's bigis letting go of outdated
beliefs.
Things like it has to be hardor I can't have this until I

(03:19):
earn it through burning myselfout, or the one we hear a lot.
Success takes a long time andif it comes fast, I can't trust
it.
These are the subconsciouscontracts so many of us make and
we don't even realize thatwe're holding them.
I had to do a whole lot ofreleasing here and honestly,

(03:41):
some of those beliefs werereally sticky.
But as I released them one byone, I could actually start to
feel my body relax and thecraziest part is things I'd been
wanting started to arrive, sometimes within weeks.
Number four is outdated habitsthat are blocking what you want.

(04:03):
Number five Something as simpleas saying yes to too many
things, staying up too late, putting everyone else's needs
before your own or checking yourinbox before checking in with
yourself.
Have you done that one?
I started examining thesehabits and they seemed harmless,

(04:24):
but they were actually keepingme distracted and depleted and
when I made small shifts, likecarving out white space before I
looked at my calendar, orsaying no to things I used to
say yes to out of guilt.
Everything opened up.
And finally, number five you'vegot to create space in your
maxed out life for something newto land.

(04:47):
We all want to manifestsomething beautiful, but where
will it go?
Where will it fit in?
Your schedule's already packed, your mind is already full, your
energy is already divided.
Over and over and over, I hadto get brutally honest with
myself.
If this new season is going toenter my life, am I making any
room for it?

(05:07):
For me, that looked likeremoving things that weren't
aligned anymore sometimes offers, sometimes obligations and it
was hard, but it truly wasnecessary.
And what happened?
As I moved through each ofthese five things?
I healed old patterns, I gainedconfidence, and it was like I
became more magnetized to thethings I'd been longing for.

(05:29):
Because letting go does createspace, space for exploration,
introspection, divineconnections and synchronicities
to show up.
And here's the part I did notexpect.
When you do this, once youstart to see that the
opportunities were always there.

(05:51):
You were just too busy or tooin your head or too attached to
how things were supposed to lookto even notice them.
Sometimes we actually push themaway with our doubt, with our
disbelief that somethingbeautiful could be simple or
fast or joyful.
And this may look like thosetimes where, when you lift your

(06:15):
head up enough perhaps you're onvacation, perhaps you're on a
weekend and you see someoneseemingly come out of the
woodwork doing something soincredible with their life or
business that you're like wow, Iwould love to do that.
And you think where did theycome from?
Like, did they come out ofnowhere?
And then you see they've beenplodding along the whole time.

(06:38):
Other people knew about them, they were just new to you
because you've been so buried inyour own work.
That's when you realize, oh,the opportunity has been Right
now.
I'm in a season where beautifulthings are landing in my life

(06:59):
almost daily right now Kindness, opportunities, synchronicities,
support, ease.
And I've found myself bumpingup against my edge.
This quiet voice inside of mesays things are so good.
Maybe something bad is comingnext.
Maybe something bad is comingnext.

(07:21):
It's that inner thermostat, theone that's been set to a
certain level of success, joy, love, and when you exceed it it
kicks in to cool you back down.
And I'm catching myself inthose moments Instead of
shrinking, I'm expanding and I'msaying wow, god, thank you.
What amazing thing do you havelined up for me next?
That's my practice right nowReceiving without guilt,

(07:46):
celebrating without fear andtrusting the goodness.
So if you're in a season whereyour timeline looks nothing like
you imagined, please know thatyou're not alone and that this
is not a sign to stop.
It might just be a sign topause, reassess and open more
space.

(08:06):
And if you want to get clear onyour vision again the real one,
the next level, one that youget to have, I created something
just for you.
It's called the vision map andit will walk you through,
reconnecting to your truedesires and mapping out what
aligned success looks like foryou right now.
So message me the word map overon Instagram and I'll send it

(08:28):
to you, or head to the shownotes and see all the goodness
that is waiting there for you.
Thank you so much for beinghere today.
I really appreciate you andI'll see you on Thursday's
episode.
