Sheila (00:02):
There was a season
recently where I found myself
second guessing my next steps.
Even those things I knew that Iwas born to do.
But what changed everything?
A simple voice note I recordedmonths earlier.
In this episode, I'll show youthe one founder habit that's
helped me make decisions faster, trust myself deeper, and spot
patterns I used to miss.
(00:23):
If you're navigating a bigseason, business shifts,
parenting transitions, energypivots, this tool will help you
make sense of it all.
Because the data you're lookingfor isn't just in your
dashboard, it's in yourself-reflection.
Hi, welcome to the podcast.
I'm Sheila Botelho, and Ibelieve true success is built
(00:45):
from the inside out.
This mini sode is designed tohelp you live into what lights
you up this week.
Let's talk about something thatdoesn't get mentioned often
enough in the founder space.
Self-trust.
And I don't mean the believe inyourself Instagram version.
I'm talking about the kind ofself-trust that shows up when
(01:06):
you're in a hard season, whenthe clarity is not obvious, and
the stakes feel higher thanever.
And you're still willing tolisten to you.
This year I had a stretch whereI started second-guessing
things that used to feel soclear.
Big decisions, small ones, evenparts of my identity that I
knew were mine.
(01:26):
But something changed thatsurprised me.
And it came from a practice Ididn't even start with the
intention to be strategic.
I started listening to my ownvoice notes.
These weren't for my team orclients.
They weren't even polished.
They were private.
Little walk and talk messages Ileft for myself in my notes app
(01:47):
or on my voxer.
And what I found when Ilistened back was a breadcrumb
trail.
There were themes that I missedin the moment.
There were repeated desires I'dbrushed off.
There were truths I'd whisperedbut didn't act on yet.
It was like past me was wavinga flag the whole time and
(02:07):
present me was finally stillenough to notice it.
This practice, audiojournaling, gave me something
that felt almost like afounder's sixth sense.
It gave me a patternrecognition system that no KPI
dashboard or team meeting evercould.
And when I talk to other womenin our world, high achieving,
(02:27):
scaling, holding a lot, I hear asimilar desire.
They want less noise, moreinternal clarity, more trust in
themselves, and more decisionsthat feel clean and aligned.
And this is what I want you towalk away with today.
Your voice already knows youjust need a place to hear it.
(02:49):
So here's how you can try thisfor yourself.
Start a private thread, even ifit's just in your notes app,
and leave a one to two minutevoice note a couple times a week
for yourself.
No need for structure, justhere's what's swirling in my
mind today, or here's what I'msensing, here's what I'm unsure
about.
Then set a reminder once amonth to go back and listen.
(03:11):
You will be so surprised at howmany of your ideas have been
circling for months and how muchclarity you already had, but
couldn't quite act on at thetime.
This is especially powerful ifyou're in a pivot season,
whether you're launchingsomething new, you're
transitioning, or you're in astretch of big emotions.
Your past self holds insightsyou couldn't fully hear in real
(03:36):
time.
And when you practice tuninginto them, you become a safer
space for yourself.
You make decisions faster, youlead yourself with more grace
and less over efforting.
This is the founder energy thatI believe in.
One where well-being isn't justa bonus, it's the operating
system.
(03:56):
If this episode sparkedsomething for you, share it with
one other founder friend today.
We're rewriting how we lead.
And it starts with trusting thesound of our own voice.
Thanks so much for listening.
Check out how we can connect inthe show notes, and I will see
you on another episode.
