In this week’s minisode, I share the simple but powerful shift that helped me stop resenting my calendar and start loving how I spend my time. Most high-performing founders don’t have a strategy problem. They have an energy alignment problem. I’ll show you how working in sync with your natural seasonal rhythm can help you create more impact with less effort.

I’m in the middle of packing for a move, and it reminded me how much our energy works like a closet. We hold onto commitments, habits, and meetings that once fit but don’t belong in our next season. When we clear them, we make room for more creativity and focus.

If your calendar feels heavy or you’re caught between doing too much or not enough, this episode will help you reconnect with your energy and reimagine your schedule.

Sheila (00:01):
I've coached high-performing founders who had
all the strategy yet still wokeup exhausted by their own
calendars.
The problem wasn't theirambition, it was misaligned
energy.
When you start organizing yourwork through a seasonal rhythm
instead of constant push,everything changes.
Your focus sharpens, yourenergy stabilizes, and your
creativity expands.

(00:22):
This week I'm sharing thefour-season framework I use to
stop resenting your calendar andstart building a business that
actually energizes you.
Hi, welcome to the podcast.
I'm Sheila Botello, and Ibelieve true success is built
from the inside out.
This mini sode is designed tohelp you live into what lights

(00:44):
you up this week.
So I've been talking aboutthis.
I am surrounded by boxes rightnow.
I move in one week.
And as I look around, I keepthinking about how energy works
a lot like packing does.
You know that feeling when youopen a closet and realize half
the things in there don't evenbelong to this version of you

(01:07):
anymore.
That's a lot of what happens inbusiness, too.
You start a season reallyexcited, but somewhere along the
way, your energy gets buriedunder things you once said yes
to, projects, commitments, expectations, things that no
longer fit you.

(01:27):
And this past month, every boxI've packed has forced me to
decide does this still serve mein the next season?
And that is exactly how Iapproach my calendar, which has
made this process easier becauseI've been practiced.
It's kind of like an energydrain.
I don't assume that it'sanything that's wrong with me,

(01:48):
though.
I see it as a sign.
I see it as something that'sshifted.
And it's not about doing more,it's not about doing less.
It's about rearranging what I'mdoing and the rhythm I'm doing
it in.
So here's how I map it out.
I follow what I call theseasons self-care cycle, which
is a four-phase rhythm thatmirrors nature's flow.

(02:10):
Each phase has its own energyrituals, it has creative focus
and rest practices built into.
And sometimes it means doublingdown on creation and
leadership.
So sometimes it means I'mpausing to recalibrate and
rebuild from the inside out.
And either way, I am in motion, but I'm in a motion that feels

(02:32):
sustainable.
Because when I ignore thatrhythm, I overpack my schedule
the same way we overpack boxes, just in case.
And then we wonder why we'reexhausted, carrying it all.
But when I honor it, when Igive each phase its space, I
notice I get more done with lesspush.
My ideas land better, my teammoves smoother, my energy

(02:56):
doesn't crash halfway throughthe week.
It all works out.
So if you've been feelingdrained, resenting your
calendar, or perhaps caughtbetween hustling and doing
nothing, maybe it's not amotivation problem.
Maybe it's just seasonalmisalignment.
Because your next level ofexpansion is not about finding

(03:17):
more time.
There isn't more time.
It's about finding the rhythmthat fuels your energy instead
of draining it.
And if you want to see whatthis looks like mapped out, I've
created a simple frameworkcalled the Vision Map.
It's the exact process that Iuse to align my goals, my

(03:38):
energy, and my calendar eachquarter.
You can grab it in the shownotes and use it to create a
week that feels lighter, clearer, and more you.
Until next time, remember, seasons call for pivots, not
plateaus.
I'll see you on the nextepisode.
