I got it because so nice of herto think of me. And I know

This is what I've noticed. Soshe's not like, oh, me only and
only my. She's I see her postingabout other people's recipes and

that are at the checkout andthey're just like sitting there

I'm looking at it when I go, ohthis person looks familiar, and

those star, I don't evenremember the magazine, I have
probably I have it in my phone.
But it was that's where it was,where the grocery store has all

the gossip magazines, then thereis this other one star, and then
Gina's on the cover of thething. So I videotape it, and
I'm like, oh my god, I'm lookingat this magazine, I'm thinking
this person looks familiar andit's you Gina. I sent her that
video and she thought it was afunny thing, the funniest thing
ever and she posted it. But itwas funny because I was just
trying to figure out why Irecognized her and sure enough,
it was her. Okey dokey.

Here's what today's today'smessage is and I'm gonna go tear
and ask through this becauselike I said last week, I am
batch creating right now. Idon't even have to tell you that
I'm doing that, but I'm tellingyou because I wanna be
transparent about contentcreation. What we're covering
today are the seven tips fordoing really good lip sync
videos. And I love a good lipsync, but I hate watching a bad

lip sync. It I'm like, thatperson couldn't take the time to
do that over and get that insync?
Like, what the hell? Okay. But Iknow some people think, oh,
whatever, it doesn't matter. AndI know a lot of times when I do
one with Julie and we only haveone shot at it and it's not
perfect, I'll let it slide. Butwhen I tell you, I take my lip
syncing very seriously.
So here's the tips. Number one,practice out loud because if you

are, you're never going to hearif you're out of sync. You have
to say it out loud. The app isnot recording your voice, you
can play the music, and you cansay it out loud. That is the
best way to hear when you're notin sync.
This is like if you had to doone thing of all my seven tips,
do that thing. Okay? Secondthing, I think it helps to write
down the words because I'm avisual learner. So when I write
(05:10):
down the words, I see the wordswhen I'm saying them. That's
just me, I'm a visual person, Ilike to see it in my head and
see it on paper.
It helps me learn it quicker. Sowhen I'm memorizing it, it
really, really helps. Okay? Soif that helps you, let it help
you. The other one is rehearsein short digestible segments.
And when I say digestible, Imean record, practice the first

line, the first line, the firstline, the first line. If you
can, if the video is savable andyou can start at the second
line, then practice the secondthe second line, the second
line, the second line, thenpractice the first line and the
second line, the first line andthe second line, the first line
and the second line. Then take abreak. Go to the third line.
Memorize the third line.
Third line. Third line. Thirdline. Third line. Do one two

three.
So this is a skill I learned inpiano lessons. Believe it or
not, that's how you learn apassage of in classical. You,
like, learn the passage. Youhave to learn it. You can't just
always start from the beginningand think you're gonna get it.
Do it in short segments. It is awin. It's a a great way to learn
a lot of things. Okay? It's agreat way to I mean, if you are

a piano person or learning aninstrument and you're trying to
do something from the beginning,you can't.
You have to learn the beginning,the first the first line. Then
you go to the next line, learnthe line, learn line, learn the
line, then attach those twolines. Okay? Then do the third
line, the third line, the thirdline, and attach one, two, and
three. So it's a building, andit's so it's so freaking helpful
for lip syncing.
It's what that's how I get it.People go, how do you do them so

good? Because I know this skill.Okay. Number four.
If you need to use headphones,it's a good idea to use wired
ones because a lot of times theBluetooth, you'll be delayed.
And I use I don't use anyheadphones for lip syncing, but
if I'm out in public and I'mtrying to do something and it's
like I have to make the volumetoo loud or I can't hear it

because the phone I'm recordingand the phone's too far away
from me if I ask a stranger tofilm me, for for example, then I
kinda let it slide and I knowit's not gonna be perfect. Also,
you're further away from thecamera, it's less obvious if
you're out of sync and by thetiniest bit. So when you're
close, you can really see thedifference. So wired headphones
are better because Bluetoothdoes put you off a little.
Now this is a good one, by theway, in in TikTok or actually in
(07:26):
TikTok and in Instagram. You canput two x speed or three x speed
and record everything in slowmotion, which could be helpful.
But it will look like it's spedup if you don't slow everything
down. Like, have to slow yourblinking, slow your breathing,
slow your head movements. So ifyou're you can't I'm telling

you, take it from me because Ido this a lot.
I have something going, and Iwanna make it look like okay,
when I'm we just did a video, meand Julie last week, I was
talking about it in the studiowhere I wanted to look like I
was in normal speed and then Iwanted her and then I wanted to
duck down and she would be infast speed. So we recorded
everything in slow motion. Ididn't want to look like mine

was gonna be in fast speed. Iwanted hers to look like it was
in fast speed. I want it to looklike normal speed.
So when I recorded my lines, I'mgonna give you an exact example.
I'm gonna do it for you rightnow, performing. Okay? I did
this. Instead of, I know I haveto sleep, but the voices in my
head go.
Okay? I know I have to sleep,but the voices in my head go.

That was my line. And then shewas running around the room. So
hers wanted to look frenetic.
Mine, I wanted to look likenormal. So I recorded it like
this. I didn't go, I know Iwanna sleep, but the voices in
my head go. I didn't I made surethat everything about my aura
was half speed. So, went likethis.

I know I have to sleep, but thevoices in my head. Okay? Move
your hands slower. Move yourhead slower. Everything has to
be slower.
Not just your words. Yay. Do youunderstand? Because if only the

words are slow and the rest ofme is moving like this, when it
goes to regular speed, gonnalook like this. Alright?
I know that's gotta be clearbecause I just gave you the best

And lastly is, using the timerin the apps can allow you to
record in segments. So I've donethis before where it's a really
long thing, and instead oftrying to do it all at once,
I'll do it line by line, andI'll move locations to make it
look like I did it purposelymoving around, you know? So you
can cheat by doing it line at atime. Use the timer, stop it

after the first line. Use thetimer, stop it after the second
line.
Okay? So using the timer is ahelpful way where you can, you
can cheat it. It's not gonna begreat if you want it to be all
in the same place because it'sgonna look like you cut, cut,
cut, it's gonna look like youcheated. But maybe make a reason
for it. So cut the first line ishere, the second line you're
over in another place, anotherroom, another location,
(10:16):
whatever.
You know, do with that what youwill, and thank you for

Practice out loud. Oh, I saidpractice out loud at the

But also when you're recording,don't decide now you're just
gonna be silent and do like asilent movie. Record it out loud
