- Define Your Why: Having a clear, personal reason for creating content (e.g., financial freedom, passion projects, giving back) is essential to stay motivated, especially during challenging times
- Pick Your Niche Thoughtfully: While some niche down too much and limit their opportunities, others go too broad and dilute their message. Cheryl recommends striking a balance, choosing a niche you’re genuinely passionate about and can sustain as a lifestyle.
- Ensure Your Niche Fits Your Lifestyle: Content creation is an ongoing process and part of your daily life, so pick a niche (like travel, wellness, or food) that feels natural and enjoyable for you.
- Diversify Your Income Streams: Don’t rely on just one way to make money. Cheryl highlights methods such as brand partnerships, sponsorships, affiliate links, social media management, and press trips
- Focus on Engagement, Not Just Follower Count: Cheryl stresses that engagement rate is more valuable than a large following, as brands increasingly work with creators who have an active, loyal audience.
