element. And so we've done all the
installments and yes, every, of course every rising sign has a

(01:14):
different energy to it. But typically based by element,
we can find those similarities because they do share those
elemental similarities. And if you would like to have a
little more info on element or mode, we have an episode in our
Back to Basic series on element and mode.
And we also have an episode on your top three, which is your
sun Moon and rising. And before we get into that

(02:42):
All right, let's get into what is arising.
In case you are new, you don't know what arising is.
It's the same as an ascendant. So those two terms are
interchangeable. It's the constellation that was
on the horizon the moment that you were born.
It changes roughly every two hours depending on where you are
in relation to the equator, but the rising is what changes the

(03:03):
most throughout every single day.
We go through all 12 rising constellations, all 12 rising
signs. So this is the part of your
chart that's determined by what time you were born.
So you're rising. That's what you're rising is in
more logistical ways. But what does it represent in
your chart? It's the way that you approach
the world. It's the impression that you

(03:24):
leave on others when you first meet them.
So you know, we kind of like to say that this is who you
introduce yourself as If you're going to a party in any
interpersonal relationships, this is you being very you, but
with a little bit of a mask or alittle bit of a character being
put on. And then it's also your physical
appearance. It's what you look like.
So for example, as a Leo rising,Leo's are known for their hair,

(03:47):
I'm typically recognized by my hair, so on and so forth.
And there are different attributes for every single
sign. Yeah.
And this is kind of the energy where you meet someone and
you're like, I thought that you were so shy and then I got to
know you and not at all like that's when because you meet
somebody's rising sign. And, and so it's, it really is

(04:08):
that first impression. And so if you have like, we're
going over in this episode, the three water risings, which is
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. And I'm going to be really
interested when we get to Scorpio rising because that is a
rising sign that's known as being very guarded.
And so that, you know, say you're a Scorpio rising, but
then you're really like a Leo underneath of all of that.

(04:28):
You meet somebody's very, you know, Scorpionic energy and then
get to know them. And then that sun comes out.
So that's why rising signs are so fast because you really do
meet somebody by their rising sign.
And I also find this really interesting.
I don't think we've talked aboutthis before, but I feel that,
you know, with COVID and how we've gone so much more into a

(04:49):
virtual world in so many ways, especially you and I both doing
readings where we do them online, I find that that often
bypasses the rising sign becausewe're already in our comfortable
environment. And so I think there are a lot
of benefits to doing, you know, to connecting with people online
because we we are not putting onthat.

(05:10):
Rise in our safe space. Exactly.
Yeah. I mean, I think about like when
we're recording or whatever, when we chat online and, you
know, through FaceTime or Zoom or whatever, like we are each
other, We're our moons with eachother.
But then when we're in person with one another, I remember the
last time we were in person. You're like, I'm getting a lot
of Aries from you right now. It was like it was the last time

(05:31):
that we recorded in person. We like tried to record an
episode in person and you were zooming the fuck around and I
was just like, whoa, Aries, cuz I'm so used to you arriving in
PJS and like cuddled up in a blanket situation.
And yeah, we're so we're so close to each other that we just
operate from our moons because that's how that's the direction

(05:52):
that it goes. If you want more info on this,
again, listen to that top three episode.
But you meet the rising, you getto know the sun and then you
really get to know when you really get to know someone,
that's when you open up and get to know their moon.
So probably your closest friends, you know their moon
signs and that's like who you kind of operate as when you're
close together in a comfortable environment.
But yeah, it's yeah, we definitely together.

(06:14):
We operate on an earthy Capricorn Taurus way, but when
we're in person it's Aries and Sag.
Yeah, it's very fiery, very fiery.
I think what's interesting aboutrising or the Ascendant too is
that it's kind of got this duality of being a mask, right?
Being very surface level, but then also being the way that you

(06:36):
tie, you know, tie in with your own identity, the way that you
relate to your own identity. And it's also your approach to
the world, which is not surface, right?
It's the way and it's the lens through which you see the world.
So that is pretty deep. You know, that's not something
that's just like, oh, well, thisis just the personality that you
put on when you first meet people.
There is depth to the ascendant as well.

(06:56):
There's this approach that you take when you're stepping or
moving through the world. Exactly.
And for those of you who like to, you know, get a little bit
more into the nitty gritty of the astrological chart, I mean,
your rising sign is the line of that is what your first house in
astrology starts as. Like that's what determines the
first house. And when you have the 1st house

(07:18):
determined, that determines the rest of your chart.
And so while yes, it is a first impression, it's also like I
think about like latitude and longitude on a map.
And it's like the lines that arelaid down that determine
location of everything on that map.
And so yes, it is the first impression.
It can have the surface level. But like Mimi just said, it does

(07:40):
have so much depth to it to it because it has such an anchor
for your chart. Yeah, and especially being like
a whole sign, girly. I love meeting other Leo risings
because it's like we understand that we're warm, we're friendly,
we're like chatty, we're goofy, we make people feel good.
But we also understand that we have Scorpio on the 4th, you
know, or Aquarius on the 7th, oryou know, Gemini on the 11th.

(08:01):
We understand that these are also very strong similarities
that we have, not just that first house, but all 12 houses,
especially if you use the whole sign system, are aligning with
each other. So meeting someone who is also
the same rising as you, you're likely to get along really well.
You're likely to understand eachother really well.
So, so real. It's so cool when that happens,

(08:24):
when you're like, oh, here's another Sagittarius rising.
I just experienced that like this past weekend meeting
another Sagittarius rising and she was basically Scorpio
everything, whereas I'm Sagittarius, Capricorn
everything. But we were just vibing on that.
Like we had a similar degree Sagrising and it just, you just
have that immediate. It's like a, oh, I can't think

(08:47):
of what the word is, an understanding and some sort of
like kinship almost. Yeah.
But in this episode, we're goingto be talking about water
risings. And so water is all about
feelings and emotions. And that is another thing to
keep in mind when you're, you know, looking at your whole
chart or the whole chart of somebody else that you're
getting to know. Because if you've just looked at

(09:09):
your sun sign, maybe you have air and fire, which is not known
for this deep feeling emotional energy.
But as that kind of anchor of your chart and the way of
approaching the world, if you are in a water rising, that is
how you approach your life. That's how you approach things.
So very feeling driven, very emotionally connected.

(09:31):
Yeah. And water is also like beyond
that very human experience of having a lot of emotions, being
in tune with your emotions. There's this subtlety to water,
there's connection to subliminalenergy that water placements
have. And so they're approaching the
world not just with like, feeling things intensely, but
just being very aware of the energies around them and being

(09:54):
very intuitive and, you know, wanting to acknowledge what it
is that they're feeling. Not because they're having
emotions about it, but because they're sensing something in
their body as, you know, maybe tension or maybe excitement or
something. They're very intuitive.
And so they approach the world with wanting to address that or
run away from it. This is more, like you said,

(10:17):
more sensing than observing. Like an air sign.
An air rising is going to be taking in all the little
knowings of something, whereas awater rising is going to be
getting feeling impressions fromlike something's off over there,
somebody's really happy over there.
Somebody had like, you're just getting the impression from
whatever the vibe is. Yeah.

(10:38):
And then, you know, the impressions that that water
risings will leave on others is that they are very intuitive and
that they're quite caring. I think they show it in very
different ways. Cancer, I think is a very like
palatable, understandable, caring energy because it's so
archetypically like maternal. Like this is mothering,

(10:58):
nurturing. Let me take care of you.
Let me coddle you energy like, oh, I'll get you what you need.
Whereas Scorpio is more intense in the way that it cares.
It's a lot more like staring youdown and like observing you and
then subtly giving you the thingthat you need that you
mentioned, but they just like watched you express, you know,
like they're being a little bit more mysterious about it.

(11:18):
And Pisces, I think it can go either way where it can be very
like obviously caring and takingcare of other people's needs,
but it's also taking care of others through taking care of
itself in a way and like, and isolating itself so that they
can heal or they can do whateverfeels really good for them so

(11:40):
that then they can be like the best person for, you know, if
they're in a partnership or in friendships or anything.
Like Pisces has to take care of themselves in order to take care
of others. Yes, I really like the whole
taking care energy that water signs bring in general.
Sorry, water risings bring in general, but yes, water signs
because it will be in a completely different way.

(12:02):
You are not getting the same impression from a Cancer rising
that you're getting from a Scorpio rising, that's for sure.
But you do know that both of those rising signs are going to
care so deeply for your emotional well-being.
Yeah, and the way that they relate to their own bodies,
right. The first house is our physical
body. It's our physical appearance,

(12:23):
but also the physical, like bodyWellness, you know, health and
fitness, which can also fall in the 6th house.
But it's the relationship to your own physical body and
physical activity. And I think with water on the
rising, there's almost this likeintuitive having to follow what
feels right in that moment. I think Scorpio is going to be a
little bit more rigid of like, well, this is the routine that

(12:45):
I've set because it is the fixedof the water science.
I think Pisces is going to be the least committed to any form
and instead, like be, you know, just follow whatever it wants,
whenever it wants. And I actually would say that
these water risings have a little bit of disconnect from
the body because they're so ethereal in a way, you know,
they're, they're not living in aphysical earthly plane.

(13:07):
They're living in this subliminal, you know,
transitional state where they'reliving in states of energy as
opposed to being really tangible.
So I think there can be a littlebit of a disconnect with the
body with water risings. I also think that if we're
looking at things from a whole sign perspective, because a
water your water rising is in the 1st house and 1st house has

(13:30):
fire energy, so does the 5th house, so does the 9th house.
That means that you have water elements in all of the fiery
houses. And both fire and water are more
of the like emotionally charged energies too, because fires
charged in a passionate way and then waters charged in more of

(13:51):
that emotional charged way. And so I think of that, you
know, 5th house being creativityand passion, that being in a
watery sign, which is emotionally driven that I don't
know, that continues to show howvery creative water risings can
be because it comes together with passion.
And anytime we have water and fire that come together, those

(14:12):
watery fiery energies, like whether it be houses or you
know, like planets, elements, signs, whenever we have that
come together, it is either the most powerful, like if we think
of steam, that's either a sourceof energy or the worst type of
burn you can get. And so that is something that
it's like. Utilizing it for the most

(14:34):
positive, like the most benefitsthat you can.
Exactly. If we're, you know, if we're
unsure how to blend that watery fiery together, then we get
badly burned. But then when we find that way
to blend them together, it's like steam powered engine and
off we go. Yeah.
I think of it as like if you have a lot of, you know, if you
have these water signs on fiery houses or the houses, I would

(14:56):
call them more of like expression.
This to me is somebody who does feel the need to be seen and not
in the same way that, like, you know, a Leo rising or Sag rising
or Aries rising where fire is onthese expressive houses.
But that they intuitively and just emotionally like they need

(15:17):
to express themselves and they need to do it in the way that
feels right to them. That's authentic to what their
nervous system is saying. I think of water signs in
general, but water risings is very in tune with their nerves,
with their nervous systems, withtheir parasympathetic systems.
Like they're very aware of thesesubliminal energies that maybe

(15:38):
other placements are not very aware of.
And so having to cater to that as opposed to what kind of
society has taught us, which areconditioned us to do, which is
like avoid or deny or pretend like that's not important.
Water risings need to acknowledge that their emotions
are important enough to prioritize and like that their
needs are important enough to prioritize.

(15:59):
Absolutely, yeah. Yeah.
Should we get? Into that.
So should we get specific? Yeah, starting with Cancer
rising. So if you are a cancer rising,
if you're new here in general, there's a chart ruler for every
rising sign. So with every 12 signs or with
every single one of the 12 signs, there is a planet that
rules that, or two planets. So Right.

(16:22):
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, I, I got confused there. So with Cancer rising, the
planet that rules Cancer is the moon.
So the moon is your chart ruler. If you are a Cancer rising,
we're about to get really into it, but also pay attention to
where your moon is in your chartbecause it's going to give a lot
of extra insight into your approach to the world, the

(16:43):
impression you leave on others, your physical appearance,
etcetera. Yeah.
And so for just like an approachthat a Cancer rising is going to
bring, especially because the moon is ruling this, the moon is
the fastest moving planetary body in the Zodiac like system.
You know, we consider the moon aplanet and so it is changing
signs every 2 1/2 days. So we do, you know, get this

(17:07):
impression that they are moving like they're riding the wave,
they're riding that emotional wave.
But because of this very intuitive nature, being ruled by
the most like intuitive planet, we have so much intuition.
We also have this nurturing and caring approach to the world
because it is known as the mom of the Zodiac.

(17:29):
It's this maternal nurturing, caring energy.
And also Cancers are known for being very sensitive because
they feel so much. And so they approach the world
like a Cancer rising, I think could take things very
personally because of being sensitive, but they also
approach the world with the sensitivity, knowing how

(17:49):
sensitive they can be. They do approach the world in a
way of I'm not trying to understand each other.
I want to make sure exactly. Yeah.
It's interesting because there are a couple of cancer risings
that I know that have kind of blocked themselves from their
own, you know, instinct from their own like primal urge to
care and, and love so unconditionally, which cancer is

(18:12):
so meant to do. And I think that comes from the
cancer instinct to protect, right?
Like this crab that has this really hard shell.
And if this is your rising, which is also your shell,
there's sometimes with cancer risings, instead of having this
immediate, obvious, caring maternal, regardless of if
you're a man or a woman, like there is just this maternal

(18:32):
instinct or this desire to take care of you in a very sensitive
way. If there isn't that and you're
getting this really protected version, that's what that's
what's happening is you're getting this really protected
version of somebody because maybe they haven't felt like
they've been able to take up space in that very divine
feminine way that is their primal instinct.

(18:55):
So I see a lot of cancer risingsthat are actually a little bit
more protective and sometimes will take care of others as a
means of protecting them themselves.
So they will only ever take careof everybody else so that nobody
sees that they have needs to or that they have sensitivities or
that, you know, they're having any sort of strong emotional

(19:16):
reactions to anything. There's such a protective nature
behind cancer energy. That's so real because when you
just think of like Cancer being the crab and how you know they
have that protective shell, but they also have their weapons
kind of built in and it's the whole nature of responding
versus is reacting. There's such a reactionary
energy to Cancer energy because of that moon that's constantly

(19:40):
changing and we're going throughall the different emotions.
And so there is that nature of reacting.
But then we understand it because like a crab, like it's a
soft little interior that needs to be protected.
And so in order to feel safe enough to let somebody in, in
order to express those needs, inorder to, you know, say, I have

(20:04):
emotions that need to be taken care of.
It really is very vulnerable because if we don't have that
shell protecting, we're really, you know, at someone else's
mercy there. And so they really do approach
the world with that. I I really like the imagery of
the crab. Of cancer because you see how
I'm so soft inside but I'm also so strong on the outside because
I need to protect but then you also can see how they can do

(20:27):
that for the people in their lives.
They really protect and care forthe people in their.
Lives their fierce protectors for people and that is something
with cancer that I can see a lotof similarity with Aries.
Both of them being quite cardinal is like very protective
and will get violent for the people that they love.
You know, the way that they approach the world is not alone,
the way the Aries is where it will get violent to protect

(20:48):
itself. Cancer is going to get violent
for everybody else and like and protect them with their
weaponry, but probably not protect themselves.
I think of this as like the handshake, like not emojis, but
like, I don't know, posts that come out where it would be like
cancer Aries. We'll get violent for those they
love for. Those they love, yeah, we'll

(21:11):
protect with violence. Absolutely.
I mean, I think that cancer risings, like they are so soft
and mushy if, you know, if they're in the right conditions
to be that. But if you hurt somebody they
love or you pose a threat to anybody that they care about,
then the claws are coming out. Absolutely.
And that is the impression that we get from these, you know,

(21:32):
cancer rising, the approach thatthey're bringing to the world.
We get an impression of, like Mimi said, either guarded
because they're, you know, maybetaking extra care of everybody
else or really just intuitively.I'm thinking of one of my really
close friends who's a cancer rising, just really knowing that

(21:52):
when someone's in need of like ahug, when someone's in need of
like literally like a care package, Like one of my cancer
rising friends just gave me a care package just because.
And I was just like, Oh my God, that you got all my favorite
snacks and like a candle and like all these things.
And it's just like the way in which they take care of you.
You think about, you know, students going away for

(22:13):
university and like mom sending a care package type of thing,
like to remind you of home. Like that's the type of thing I
think the cancer rising's in my.To bring comfort.
Exactly. Because that's something that
they really prioritize too. It's like this.
And I think it's less comfort. Like I would say comfort is more
of Taurus, but safety is Cancer. You know, like being able to
retreat to the shell and having the sacredness of your own space

(22:35):
where you are safe. Taurus is like being wrapped in
a really comfortable blanket anda comfortable chair, and Cancer
is the wrapping someone in that comfortable blanket and like
taking care to put somebody in that, you know?
Yeah, and it feels genuinely good to them.
Absolutely, yeah. And then when we get to their

(22:57):
physical appearance, I love talking about this because I
think it's so cool to think of like how these stars affected
the way you literally look with cancer risings.
They tend to, I mean, they tend to have high contrast coloring.
So like their eyebrows will be ahigh contrast to their skin
tone. I'll often find there's
generally just a roundedness about their shoulders, their

(23:17):
faces. If they're a woman, I find they
have like larger chests, like very divinely feminine features.
And I think we have written herebig watery eyes, because is that
because they're just always crying?
I mean when you see a cancer rising, I feel like when you see
a water rising in general, waterrisings to me, you notice their
eyes. You just really notice their

(23:39):
eyes and I. Because eyes are the windows to
the, yeah, windows to the soul, right?
Isn't that the saying? And like water signs, water.
Yeah, the water signs just have so much soul.
They have so much soul and and because it is that first
impression that we're getting from them that is that
immediate, like emotional understanding.

(23:59):
And we'll get it different for each of the three signs.
But for cancer, I just feel likethere's this big openness.
And by watery, it doesn't mean like, oh, we're just crying, but
there's just some sort of like, not glassiness that we like feel
like you're dead to the world glassiness.
But just like a I'm so open to what it is you have to say and

(24:20):
feel. And there's just this like it
makes me think of a mom that is very present at the ready.
I think they have very. Present eyes.
Yeah, Like they're watching you. They're making sure you're OK.
But did you need anything where your your eyes are a little
wider because it's like, oh honey, did you need anything?
Like there's that readiness of being caring to somebody that

(24:43):
they love. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And and I'll reiterate again, like I, I feel like there's a
roundedness. So like generally like round
shoulders, nothing too broad or muscular, like, you know, more
like thicker layer of fat on theskin, right?
Because that's like very feminine to have extra layers of
fat. That's what is our bodies are

(25:04):
made for us to have this extra nutrient for, you know, being a
mother essentially. So I think that generally when
someone tells me there are cancer rising, I'm like, of
course you are like their eyelashes are dark.
They have darker eyebrows in contrast to their facial, like
their skin tone. There's generally just like this
this, this contrast that I see in them.

(25:24):
I never would have put it that way, but thinking of the cancer
risings that I know, I, I do agree.
And I think there there's just something about the eyes for all
the water risings, there's really something about the eyes.
And then some of the cancer rising celebrities that we've
got Margot Robbie, Adele, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Jennifer
Garner, Paul Rudd and Kurt Russell.

(25:45):
I saw like, I found so many examples of like, women cancer
risings and there were so many like, options.
And then I finally got to some of the men.
I was like, OK, Paul Rudd, like what?
Like just a softy. Like he just looks like, you
know, he's got the eyes that areopen and ready for like, yeah,
tell me what's going on. Like, how can I help?

(26:06):
I'm here. And also like Kurt Russell, I
don't know him as well, but like, I mean just the he gives
like Papa bear, Papa bear vibes, you know?
Yeah. Exactly.
Yeah, and if we look at like Margot Robbie, Adele, Julia
Roberts, those 3 alone, like their eyes are big features on
their faces. Like Julia Roberts eyes like so

(26:27):
wide set again, that openness, Adele, a lot of openness.
And we can see that roundedness in her face like and then Margot
Robbie, we also have like a wider set face, you know, with
moon rise or moon risings, with Cancer rising specifically, it's
said that they have moon like features in their face.
So it is just like this really round or wide hide face or you

(26:48):
know, we could have we could even see like a kind of Crescent
vibe if they have a really prominent chin and forehead, you
know, something like that. Yeah.
I love like, just the the image that we get of when people paint
the moon with a face, you know, like, it's that really like,
soft the love of Cancer, Yeah. All right, moving on to the

(27:10):
second water sign of the Zodiac,we've got Scorpio rising.
So the chart ruler for these twotraditional chart ruler is Mars,
and then the more modern chart ruler for Scorpio rising is
Pluto. So either way, we've got very
intense energy when you first meet them and the approach that
they have to the world, they aresomeone who is very focused,

(27:31):
very determined. This is the fixed sign of the
water sign. So like we said, Cancer is
cardinal and now Scorpio is fixed.
So they are very much committed to whatever it is that they're
approaching in the. World yes with that fixed nature
and also thinking about like we went from crab to scorpion and
both of them have they have their own type.

(27:52):
What Yeah violence yeah, but they're ready with weapons.
But Scorpio is much there's a sneakier element to it and a
sting. And I also love just comparing.
We went from Cancer rising, which is ruled by the moon,
which changes every 2 1/2 days to Scorpio rising, which yes, it

(28:14):
has the two rulers, but I I often go with the modern ruler
of Pluto when I think of Scorpiorising, which Pluto changes
signs every 1920 years. OK so like the difference, which
is why if you're a Scorpio rising surprising listening to
this your whole life probably changed as of November 2024

(28:36):
because that is when we had Pluto officially like without
retrograding back shifted into anew sign.
It shifted into Aquarius. And so we have a chart ruler
that changes every 19 ish years and that determines there.
I mean that just as an extra layer to being fixed because we

(28:57):
have other fixed signs. The other fixed signs being
Taurus and Aquarius and Leo. Yes.
It really takes its time and it sees a finish line, it sees a
long term finish line. And I think that we don't
usually pick like Scorpio as thereally long term commitments.
You know, that's more Capricorn energy.
But Scorpio will stick with something for so long because it

(29:20):
got the intuitive hit from earlyon that this is the right thing
we're meant to do. And on, you know, to their
detriment, maybe they don't ask themselves throughout the entire
process of like, wait, is this still feeling right?
Is this still feeling right? Because they trust so deeply
that first instinctual hit of this is exactly where I'm meant
to be, and now I'm just going todo the work to make sure that it

(29:41):
remains that way. This is like sniper energy
because when they are given the,you know, the go for, OK, we
need you to focus in on this target, They shut off any and
all other senses that would distract them from that target.
And maybe that's someone being like, oh, we have more

(30:03):
information coming in or something.
But it's like I've honed in. I'm at a distance and my focus
is on this thing that I'm so intensely, you know, focused on.
There's such focus, intensity and just charged energy with
Scorpio because it is. It's this watery, intuitive.

(30:23):
We're feeling it, but it is not revealing.
Anything. That the other signs would be.
There is such an air of mystery with Scorpio rising and because
there's so much more focus on observing and investigating
their surroundings than they arein showing who they are.
Cancer rising and Pisces rising are going to be a little bit
more expressive in their identity and who they are,

(30:46):
whereas Scorpio rising really holds that so close to them.
They don't want anybody to really see who they are.
Again, another form of protection, right?
That's them protecting themselves.
Scorpio risings can tend to be asign that or a placement that
live in a little bit of fear that approach the world from a
little bit of a fear based mentality because Scorpio is

(31:08):
sort of more intense taboo traumatic experiences that we've
had. That's, you know, the nature of
Scorpio in the Zodiac wheel. So that's the way that they
approach the world. They approach it from a
potential threat perspective or a potential pain point, you
know, like so they're very protective of themselves.
I think Scorpio rising is probably the one that takes the

(31:32):
longest to crack through out of all the rising signs.
Oh, absolutely. I have so much deep insider
knowledge on Scorpio rising so much.
And I, I do find that I have a lot of Scorpio risings in my
life as well. And there is, it's the energy of
once you're in, you're in because you got through all of

(31:55):
my defenses and I only let people in who are in for life.
So that's why there are so many defenses.
And then once you get in, you feel that fierce protection and
loyalty and like die hard just protection from a Scorpio rising
and and they also really. Love.

(32:16):
I mean, they can really love fiercely because of that
loyalty. This, I think is the rising sign
that surprises you the most whenyou get to know them because
there were so many defenses. I mean, like, I'm thinking of
two people in my life that are Scorpio rising is one of them
being a Gemini moon and one of them being an Aries moon.
And it's like when you get to know deep down that moon sign,

(32:39):
you're like, what the hell, Gemini moon?
You're like, you're freaking crazy and chatty and silly and
loud and like, you know, boisterous.
That is not what the Scorpio is giving me.
And then even though Aries shares the Mars energy of, you
know, Scorpio, there's just something that's a little more
fiery, reactionary, showy about it where it's like, wow, you

(33:02):
just said that as opposed to really just observing because a
Scorpio rising at a party is going to observe everything, say
very little. And I could, I think that
Scorpio risings give people the impression of, oh, I didn't
think you liked me right away because they were really taking
everything in. I so I, I have so many great
Scorpio risings in my life. And that is definitely the

(33:23):
impression that I got of like one of my really close friends
who's a Scorpio rising and then a Leo.
Like the example that I gave, I like, I never, I was like, OK,
yeah, like, what's what's the vibe here?
Like, do they like me? Do they not like me?
And then when I got to know the Leo, I'm like, oh, my God,
you're the best. And like, and and now I see that
I'm one of your fiercely protected people.

(33:45):
And so you, you have to get through that barrier because
they have, I mean, Scorpio is the investigator of the Zodiac.
They are that detective, and a detective can't be seen or
heard. They're here to observe.
They're here to get to the bottom of it.
They're here to really figure out the source of something, and
they can't do that if they're being loud and showy.

(34:05):
So they're going to be the one at the party that is taking in
all the information and decidingwhen they feel comfortable and
when is the appropriate time to let that sun come out a little
bit more. Yeah, and I think that with
Scorpio risings, they're likely to have smaller circles of
friends because it's exhausting for them to let that guard down
around large groups of people because they just, they simply

(34:28):
can't. Like if they're in a group of
people that they don't know verywell or don't feel very safe
with or are not immediately comfortable with, they're going
to be that like guarded version of themselves.
As soon as they are, you know, in a smaller group of people
that they feel very comfortable with, each and every single one
of them, then they can let that guard down and use that Scorpio.
You know, it's not like, OK, then you're through the Scorpio
rising and you don't ever see that Scorpio rising.

(34:49):
It's like once you do get through that first protective
barrier, then there's so many elements of Scorpio rising that
are actually so fascinating, youknow, magnetic, attractive,
charming. There's, you know, that
intensity can be used in other ways.
Again, it's very caring. Once it's loyal, once it's, you
know, chosen you as someone to be loyal to, you feel that you

(35:12):
have that person in, you know, behind you at all times.
That's like bodyguard energy. So like, it's not that once you
get through the Scorpio rising, you're like, OK, great, you got
through it. Now you know, everything else is
what's more important. That intensity then just gets
pushed into another stage of your friendship, relationship,
whatever, into a more intimate, you know, connection.

(35:34):
I love the idea of the bodyguardthat is so real for that Scorpio
rising because they are taking in all the information and they
are very strategic as well because they want to.
They're it's calculating in a different way from Virgo or even
a different way from Capricorn. It's very strategic because like

(35:54):
you said, it's exhausting and really not possible to let down
those walls unless we can fully let them down.
And yeah, Scorpio energy is a very all or nothing.
And so when you're when you're in, you're in and and that makes
so much sense for having that smaller group.

(36:16):
And then for their physical appearance, we always talk about
the Scorpio brows and the eyes again, like there's such a
sharpness to the way that they look at you, right?
It's not particularly like physical appearance, but it's
the gaze with with which they look at you.
A Scorpio rising gaze is just intense and fixed and
unblinking. It is I.

(36:38):
Serial killer vibes. It is it is serial killer vibes
and like I just remember in likenot even in arguments, but in
kind of like disagreement moments with a Scorpio rising.
I'd be like, it's not fair that you have your Scorpio eyes right
now. Like it is not fair.
Like because it's so intimidating and that's not fair

(36:59):
that you have that as a weapon. Whereas my Sagittarius rising
ass is like all joyful and like I don't have, I don't have that
just as staring me down. And I I think that the intensity
of the eyes can, at least from my fiery Sagittarius rising
perspective, can be interpreted as.

(37:22):
Investment. Investment, but it was, I think
that I got the impression that there was, it's not a meanness,
but it's a ready to fight energy.
And I'm like, why are you mad atwhat I'm saying?
And they're like the Scorpio risings are like, I'm not mad at
what you're saying. I'm listening because there's

(37:43):
such an intensity and it's like I, I get the impression that
Scorpio risings are ready to fight when I'm just trying to
explain something. And I had to learn that it was
listening with intensity as opposed to, you know, ready to
fight back to whatever I had to say.
But there is an eye like penetration, like you said, you
just this gaze is so intense. So I would say the, you know,

(38:08):
you have a piercing eye. It's different from that Cancer
rising where you have this openness, but there is such an
intensity and they often have anintense brow to go with it.
Like, and also, I mean, I, I'm aPlacidus girly.
So I think that, you know, I, I look at things in a, you can
have more than one sign in a house.
And I think of OG host Tara, who's triple Libra, but most of

(38:31):
her Libra and Placidus is in the12th house and the majority of
her Scorpios in the 1st house. And we always joked growing up
and still now that she has angryeyebrows, like we always call
them angry eyebrows because the majority of her first house has
taken up a Scorpio, even though she's not a Scorpio rising.
And so that is something where it's like they have the angry
eyebrows, doesn't to be angry, but there's an intent intense

(38:51):
eyebrow nature that just plays together with that intense eye
stare. Yeah, OK, You're really sad
rising there. I'm going to go back to the
point you said about being readyto fight.
Yes. I think that there is a point to
Scorpio rising getting the energy that they're always ready
to have a fight because in many cases with Scorpio risings,

(39:16):
they're operating from a place of fear or a place of potential
like trauma or, you know, if it's not that, then it's reading
between the lines and being so aware of what's happening
subliminally. They're so aware of all of the
underlying potential tensions orjust underlying emotions that
when you're having a conversation with a Scorpio

(39:36):
rising, they're having a different conversation because
they're taking a much more psychological approach to it.
Reading between the lines is such a perfect description for
any Scorpio energy, but especially Scorpio rising where
I. If they're the underrated
overthinker, we don't think of Scorpio rising as the

(39:56):
overthinker, but they are. I agree.
I hardcore agree. Because they're really trying
to. They're trying to observe
everything. And so then that just requires
so much thinking. Yeah.
And then also another physical appearance we have here is a
more angular face, which I wouldagree with.

(40:17):
I think they tend to have, I wouldn't say gaunt, but you
know, where Cancer is like very round features, a little extra
layer of fat. Like Scorpio doesn't really have
that. It doesn't need the fat.
We also mentioned this with Aries rising, how there is an
angular nature and I think that that's that shared Mars where
it's almost like we're built forspeed, we're built for yes, yes,

(40:40):
and so and there's it, it bringspart of the intensity and there
is an intimidating factor to Scorpio risings that that brings
it when you have sharpness as opposed to an opening like open
nurturing mothering energy. Again, what it doesn't matter
like male or female, but like, you know, you bring it like
Cancer rising is bringing that openness and that softer energy.

(41:04):
And Scorpio rising is bringing in intensity because we it's,
it's like you're built for the job and your rising sign is that
approach to the world. And you know, you're built to go
into the shadows and be able to observe all those things and be
able to be ready for whatever iscoming your way.
And I really like what you mentioned about that, you know,
coming from a place of fear. And that's not to be like, oh,

(41:24):
Scorpio risings, you're all afraid.
But it's more like when you're rating as a, you know, I have to
be ready for that. And that's why I think I agree
with the underrated overthinker.Yeah, so celebrities that we've
got for Scorpio Rising, we've got Nicole Kidman, Rachel
McAdams, T Swift, Lana Del Rey, Jennifer Coolidge and Bette

(41:47):
Davis. I love that Bette Davis is on
here because there's literally the song by Kim Carnes of she's
got Betty Davis size. It's like like known for like
Betty Davis is known for intenseeyes.
There's like song like written about that and I love that.
That's a Scorpio. It is piercing.
Yes, yes, like a piercing case. Yeah, yeah.

(42:12):
And like, you can think too. The you can see an angular face
with Rachel McAdams and Nicole Kidman.
You can see and feel the intensity with Lana Del Rey.
I guess Taylor Swift also does have like a very angular face.
You can see it too. I see her more sad than anything
else. Jennifer Coolidge is a wild
card. Oh I totally I love this though
I feel like she. I feel like all of these

(42:34):
celebrities, regardless of the actual face shape, when they
look in the camera for a picture, their eyes are looking
into your soul. Like all of them.
Like even Jennifer Coolidge, like she has, I don't know what
her other plays are. There's definitely some
wackiness, but when she's looking at you, there's some, I
don't know, they, they all have this stare that's just.

(42:54):
This fierce, like fearlessness, like they're like you don't
intimidate me energy. Yes, Oh my gosh.
And like, even though I mean, Taylor Swift, she's a Cancer
moon. She has that softness in there
too. But just thinking of her entire
reputation album where it's justlike, and her songs like better
than there's nothing better thanRevenge.
And you know, like all like there's so much, yeah, you know,

(43:17):
Scorpio themes in all of her work.
And and while she has such a like, cuz it's the approach to
the world, like she is very, I guess she wants to be the one
giving the narrative perceived. Even though she's very open with
certain things, it's still in that Scorpio element of control.
And she's quite strategic. Yeah, very.

(43:38):
Strategic. Oh my gosh.
Like, well, how and like the howthe fans go so crazy about OK,
she said this on this day at this time, meaning she's going
to release this and that like, and and that was true.
Like she's strategic as fuck. She like made those plans so far
in advance. Like you said, long term game
with Scorpio rising. Oh, very fascinating.

(44:00):
I did look it up because I'm very curious.
Jennifer Coolidge is a Virgo Sun, Aries Moon, and Scorpio
rising that is just such a like.Interesting.
Like combo. I was wondering if there was
some sort of Aquarius in there or something, but it's like, I
don't know. Yeah, she's, I mean.
She's got some Leo Northam and Leo No 0 Aquarius.

(44:21):
That's crazy. No Gemini Mars and Libra.
Like, yeah, I don't know. She's she's almost like wacky.
From her contradicting signs, not as like from a Yeah, I don't
know. Yeah, she's she's a wild one.
Anyway, let's get into Pisces risings.
You want to intro us into this? Let's do it so we have. 2 chart
rulers again for this, the original chart ruler being

(44:43):
Jupiter, but the modern chart ruler being Neptune.
And that is, I normally think ofthe modern chart ruler with any
and all rising signs, but it's fun to look at both of them to
get that extra influence. And you know, Neptune just gives
such Pisces energy to me with that very foggy, very dreamy,

(45:04):
ethereal. Yes, exactly.
And so you think of the symbol. Form, like we've had crab, we've
had scorpion, and now we have 2 fish.
Like think of how easy it is to grab a whole.
Like there's this exos exoskeleton with both of the
crab and the scorpion. And then with the fish they just
like slimy, you try and pick it up, they wiggle out of your

(45:24):
hands like you can't contain it right?
Like that's so Pisces in comparison to Cancer in Scorpio.
You can't contain it, but it also.
Can't fight back like the other ones can, no Yeah, Pisces is.
The most sensitive and kind of self undoing energy, right?
This is something that Pisces isknown for.
If Scorpio maybe tends to operate out of fear, sometimes

(45:46):
Pisces can operate out of paranoia.
You know, it's, it's a form of fear, but it's one that they've
created for themselves. Not to victim blame or anything,
if you know that's not what we're doing here, but there is
an element of paranoia because Pisces is so aware of not just
like the between the lines of what Scorpio is investigating in
interpersonal relationships, butPisces is so aware of collective

(46:10):
energy. Like it's not just subliminal
energy. It is large emotional energy
that is coming from the collective, that is coming from
Spirit, source, Divine, God, whatever it is you want to call
it. Like there is just this
connection to something bigger. And I often think that with
Pisces rising, this is where I see the disconnect with the body
the most because they're so connected to soul that their

(46:32):
physical body just doesn't feel like it can possibly be
everything that their soul is. That is that.
I love that. Their soul is such, you know,
there's no like beginning and end there.
It's everything is so connected and and just like so absolutely

(46:54):
feeling to the point where all Pisces placements have escapism
tendencies because of that feeling too much.
And that's why it can be elusiveand why it can be, you know, it
just seems like the slippery fish, like you said, like I, I
need to like get out of here andthis is too much and I'm gone.
So that is very Pisces energy ingeneral.
And when we have this as Pisces rising, I can see that being an

(47:19):
energy that is so intuitive, butfeels so much and without the
protective shell. And so I need to really remove
myself completely from the situation because if if I feel
this, I feel it directly, there's nothing to protect me
from feeling what I'm feeling. Yeah, they do tend to.

(47:40):
Have to isolate themselves a little bit or just have some
solidarity or sorry, some solitude because of their
constant stimulation from outside sources.
And I think that Pisces rising is also extremely caring energy
and very different from Cancer rising, where Cancer rising will
take care of your needs right then and there that they can see

(48:02):
that you're telling them about Pisces rising is going to feel
those needs without you even have to having to say anything.
They're going to disarm you withhow much they care.
And then they're going to take care of you in in non tangible
ways where Cancer will be like, let me get you that Band-Aid.
And then we're going to talk through like how that hurt.
Pisces is going to see through that like the physical need and
instead be like, well, what is your soul learning from this?

(48:25):
And I find that Pisces risings tend to push other people to
grow a lot. And that's that Jupiter chart
ruler that I can really see is like valuing growth and valuing
connection, intimacy, spirituality, creativity and
imagination, spirituality. Is such a big thing for Pisces

(48:46):
rising and that's where I reallydo see that Jupiter chart ruler
coming into. And I love the word imagination
for anything Pisces because it'sjust living and breathing
creativity. It's not a choice, it's just a
way of expressing. And they have such an
otherworldly energy to them as well because of that spiritual
and like Pisces is not grounded in like and so they they're like

(49:11):
from somewhere else, living somewhere else.
We get this. There's an element of mystery.
Yes, there's an element of mystery.
And not in a secretive Scorpio way, but in a what are you
seeing? Because I think it's different
from what I'm seeing. Yeah, like you have some.
Glasses on that are really giving you extra visions, like,
and there's an element of like, you know, a Pisces rising can

(49:32):
walk into the room, be themselves and then walk away.
And everyone's like, what just happened.
You know, they leave this air ofconfusion because they're so in
their world. It's so real to them.
But how other people see it, theimpression that it leaves on
others is a little bit like thatdelusion, like what just
happened, you know, a, a very big sense of confusion.

(49:53):
And there's I like. Sensitivity more similar to a
Cancer way than I I mean, I think Scorpio energy can be
sensitive, but they've just built themselves in a way of not
showing it. But there's a Pisces sensitivity
because sensitivity in being like, it makes me feel like open
nerves because they feel everything.

(50:16):
So if you touch something, it's like whoa, like I think it
affects everything else. Too, I definitely relate to that
having like Pisces placements, but this is for Pisces rising.
But like if you do hit a nerve, it's going to affect them in
every other area too because Pisces rising is going to be so
sensitive to the world around them.
That one little thing causes this ripple effect, and they're

(50:38):
also Pisces is. Immutable sign.
It's the last sign of winter. It's the last sign of the
Zodiac. And so as opposed to Cancer and
Scorpio rising, this is the least emitted energy.
This is the least, you know, water energy isn't necessarily
grounded energy, but Pisces energy is even less so because

(50:59):
they are a water element and they are the most in flow.
It's not a wave that comes and then crashes down, OK?
It's not that it's not that intense stream of water that we
get from Scorpio. It's just like it's fog, it's
flow. And it really can go in any and
all directions and doesn't really have an anchor.

(51:20):
And that's something that all Pisces placements can, you know,
benefit from finding an anchor. But they also show us where we
can loosen up from an anchor andreally just feel and flow with
everything. There's such an artistic.
Energy with Pisces rising, like,no matter what they're doing,
whether they're an artist, quoteUN quote or not, there's just
this like the impression that they leave on others.

(51:43):
Is this artistic instinct? Absolutely.
And like. When it comes to physical
appearance, physical features, we have that softness again that
is similar to cancer rising. We have like sometimes an Oval
face, whereas cancer can be moreof a round face.
But as opposed to the big wateryeyes that we have with cancer

(52:06):
rising, there is a sleepy or dreamy element to it's always
like there's a blur filter. On them, you know, like there's
a. Beautiful.
Skin for the most part, like radiant skin.
And again, yeah, those eyes are they're not piercing in their
gaze, but they're more wanderingeyes.
They're like these wanderlust filled eyes of just yeah,

(52:30):
creativity and possibility and faith.
There's an openness that can relate to Cancer, but there's
like an emotional sensitivity that is very unique to Pisces
eyes. There there is something so.
Unique to them in that otherworldly element where
you're just like you're seeing something that I'm not seeing

(52:50):
because you can see beyond what is in front of you.
Yeah, I mean, I think if sometimes.
They have more like wide set eyes, kind of like a fishy vibe.
And then you think of also like the way fish see the world, like
you think of a fishbowl, A fishbowl lens on a camera or
something. That's the way that Pisces is
seeing the world. There's just a major peripheral
that Pisces rise thing has that other signs don't have, and

(53:13):
that's because of that fishbowl effect and that could be seen as
like. Oh, things like a distortion,
but then it's also like a complete different perspective
that gets brought in a differentway from.
I normally think of different perspective, you know, in an
Aquarian way, But this is with much more of an intuitive
emotional element. It's like, yeah, well, reality
isn't fixed, so we can bend it. And I see it in a bendy way.

(53:36):
Yeah. There's such an ethereal.
Appearance to them too. Yeah, they're very flowy.
They're just very, very flowy. Yeah, yeah.
And then the. Celebrities we've got are John
Stamos, Morgan Freeman, Billie Eilish, Ryan Gosling, Gwyneth
Paltrow and Jimmy Fallon. I feel like Billie Eilish is.
Just so great as an example, Literally ocean eyes, yeah.

(53:59):
Like, hello, where are you? Yeah, like.
Where are you? You're just like so dreamy of
somewhere. She brings so much soul to what
she. Creates to like such an artist.
You know, she's an artist for art's sake.
I love Billie Eilish. And then we think of like
Gwyneth Paltrow. She's got these very delicate,
ethereal features. Jimmy Fallon, we can see it in
his eyes as well. And he has got, you know, not

(54:21):
quite super angular, not quite round face.
Like there is sort of this in between that we can see with his
Pisces rising. And he does generally like, OK,
he's got some problems to him, but there is this very mirroring
energy that Jimmy Fallon does bring.
Like I love Jimmy Fallon. He's literally there for his
guests, like, and he mirrors hisguests.

(54:44):
He does. He's like.
Jimmy Fallon's a celebrity crush.
I just love. I love that fits with you and
John Mulaney, too. Yes, John.
Mulaney, too, And they're both. Virgos, I have like Virgo
celebrity crushes, but like I there's something about the fact
that he is a Pisces rising and aVirgo that brings that first in
7th house, you know, in line of that axis.

(55:05):
But there is you're so right about the mirroring and he also
like he'll get up close with like be like, what is it that
you saw? What is it that you like?
You know, and there's just there's an openness, but and
there's a silliness that he brings that you can it's, I can
see that as being the Jupiter influence of Pisces risings

(55:27):
because there's a little bit of a not, yeah, not naive
necessarily, but we have an optimistic nature that comes
with Jupiter and I can really see that with him idolizing
energy. With Pisces rising as well as
like a romantic energy, right, These are very romantic.
Like think of John Stamos like so he's the heartthrob.

(55:49):
Jimmy Fallon, I think for many has been like this romanticized
person. Ryan Gosling, my God, is
literally just this massive heartthrob for so many and we
just have this like romantic soul filled feature with these
people. We really do.
And it also. Like for any tarot people out
there, I think of like the Knight of Cups is such a Pisces

(56:09):
energy too. And that feels like very like
romance hard on my sleeve because there is such a
idealizing, the romantic and romanticizing energy.
And I can definitely see that from Pisces and Pisces rising
just brings that right away. And they can often be seen as.
Delusional. But it's because they're just
living in their world and they're just being very aware of

(56:32):
their world and they, you know. Anything that has Jupiter
influence wants to believe in the best, wants to believe in
good. Have hope.
