(00:17):
Welcome back to the Stars Made Me Do it.
We are here with a kind of back to basics.
We're here with the Planet series, Back to basic series.
We're talking about the sun. Maybe think about it, this
episode could have been like thefirst ever episode of the
podcast because we did our sun season, the first season of the
well, we, I wasn't a host duringthat time, but I was in spirit,

(00:38):
OK. And so we talked about the sun
through each sign in in that first season.
And now we're going to talk about what the sun generally
just represents in astrology in your Natal chart.
And also maybe dive a little bitinto it as a transiting planet,
how it affects us. Yeah, if you are just getting
into astrology, I mean, the sun is where you start.
You start with the sun. That's what, you know, your

(01:01):
birthday, that's where the sun was when you were born.
So it's such a, you know, it is the thing you start with in
astrology and whether you're a newbie, whether you're just, you
know, whether you're been here for a while and just want a
little refresher on things. We're going to dive into the sun
and everything it shines on. And before we do that, if you
don't already, follow us over onInstagram at the Ours Made Me

(01:24):
podcast. We're also on TikTok at the
Stars Made Me podcast. We have a Patreon at
patreon.com/the Stars Made Me doit.

guys. Let us know.
So what do you like? So much fun.
Getting comments on YouTube is awesome.
Definitely getting any interaction on our Patreon is
really nice. So yeah, please go join us.
But OK, getting into the sun, I feel like there really isn't
that much information out about the sun as a planet because it's
the first thing that we all learn.

(02:07):
And even now when I ask people who aren't well versed in
astrology, I'll be like, oh what's your sun sign?
And they're like, is that is that the main 1?
I don't know. And I'm like, yeah, that's the
one. You know, like go ahead, tell
me. Or you can even just tell me
your birthday and I'll know whatyour sun sign is.
And what's really cool about just the math of astrology is
that right? We have a Zodiac wheel of 12
signs. Each one has 30° in each sign.

(02:30):
So that's a, a circle is 360°. And then in a calendar year, we
have 365 days or 364.25, which is why we have a leap year every
four years. So we can really see how the sun
and the calendar year match up so perfectly, which is why the

(02:50):
Virgo season is always going to start around the same time, but
not on the exact day. And that is something that I
feel like I'm also always educating people about, that
it's not 20th to the 20th or 21st to the 21st strictly every
single year. Sometimes it's the season will
start on the 18th of the month, or it'll start on the 23rd of
the month and so on, because there's just that little five

(03:13):
day discrepancy between the Zodiac wheel being 360° and the
calendar being 365 days. Yeah, it depends on the year.
It depends on the time too. I'm the classic case, my dad and
I both are the classic case where normally Sagittarius
season starts on November 22nd. Sometimes it could start on the
21st, sometimes a little bit after.

(03:35):
But you know, I am that first minute of it moving into
Sagittarius. My dad's January 20th and the
year he was born, the time he was born, it was Capricorn.
I have a cousin born on January 20th and the time she was born,
the year she was born, she's an Aquarius.
And so even though they share the same birthday, it's not the
same year. And so that totally changes.

(03:56):
I mean, it really can change. So when you get into that kind
of 19202122 time of the month, you have to check and see what
degree the Sun is in to know, OK, are we still in Taurus
season or have we moved into Gemini?
And this is the first, the perfect episode to also discuss
cusps because I know that peopleI know that people will live by

(04:21):
a cusp philosophy. I don't, I'm pretty strict about
it where I'm like, no, the sun is very intentional about being
in one sign or another. And if you feel the effects of
the prior or next sign in your chart, you likely have Mercury
in that sign or Venus or one of the personal planets.
You likely have activation in that sign with another planet,

(04:43):
but often people don't know about all the other planets so
they just assume well I'm a cusper so I have both sides.
So that's my take on cusps. Yeah, cusps is, I feel like when
I first got into astrology, thatwas such a big like cusper, you
know, because I am, I'm like that 0° Sagittarius.
And, and I, I feel like as a prime cusper person being that

(05:06):
day that the sun changes signs. It's just like, if you know me,
the amount of Scorpio that I am not like like I have, I mean,
the only thing I have in Scorpiois Pluto and Scorpio, which is a
generational planet. If you're a millennial, you too
have Pluto and Scorpio. I have so many things in
Sagittarius and in Capricorn. And so even though I'm the first

(05:27):
minute of Sagittarius, I relate so much more to Capricorn and
that's some like 30° after my sun.
So like cusping, like I rememberlearning about first learning
astrology, like astrology teacher being like you can't be
in two rooms at the same time. You're either in the living room
or you're in the dining room, like you're in the kitchen or
you're in the bathroom. Like, you know, and, and it's
the sun is either in, you know, Libra or it's in Scorpio and.

(05:51):
And part of me is like the puritanical part of me, not like
religiously, I just mean like like perspective Flyers me
reveal she's a Puritan. It's taken six seasons to know
your true inner self. She's a spiritual anyway, but

(06:11):
like I in my like puritanical, more like black and white
thinking mode. The sun actually when it's at
that 0° point, that's just saying that over 51% of the sun
is now in that constellation zone of the sky because there is
a point where the sun is moving through and it is going to be
half and half. But we dictate 29 degrees, 59

(06:34):
minutes is, hey, 51% of that sunis still in this constellation.
And then once it moves to another, then we have that 51%
in the next sign and we're goingto be at 0°.
And I think that also cusp theory disregards degree theory.
We said this was like a really basic episode and now I'm like

(06:55):
bringing up all these techniques.
But degree theory, if you're curious, that we do have an
episode out on deckins and degrees, It's kind of a
fascinating, like micro theory in astrology, but degree theory
basically stipulates that 29° ofa point and 0° of a sign are
very important degree points. And Sierra being a 0°

(07:16):
Sagittarius and being the most Sag person that you could ever
meet, really checks out because 0° is like this quintessential
concentrated energy or concentrated.
Yeah, it's like the Yeah, very pure, whereas 29° is also like
this culmination, this massive growth and evolvement.

(07:39):
Yeah, mastery. I love that of that sign.
So when we say, oh, I'm on the cusp, it's negating that
actually you're at 29°, that's areally important point.
Or you're at 0°, that's a reallyimportant point.
So I think that when you, yeah, I just want to stipulate, like
if you're really attached to being a cusper, maybe let go of
that and become a degree theorist and you'll have fun

(08:00):
with that. I love that.
And if you are here and like you're here for the basics and
you're like, whoa, I'm so sorry that just, that just went over
my head. Like just if you haven't already
plugged your birthday time location into some sort of
generator and figured out like if it says 0° or 29°, you know,
and you're like, oh, I always thought I was a Cancer, but this

(08:20):
is saying that I'm, you know, like that is important to keep
in mind that the degree is what determines where your son is.
And so you might have like, I've, I've met people where the,
like, I always thought that I was a Cancer, but I'm actually a
Leo because they, you know, it'sthe days change depending on the
year. So come back and let us know.

(08:43):
My tables is like pull out an ephemeris and be like well let's
see exactly. What you are.
Oh, I love that. Love it.
Yeah. Well, let's get into the basics
of the sun and talk about what you know.
I also, as far as basic astrology, I feel like often
people will say what's your starsign?
That's like some way of asking. And that's essentially saying

(09:04):
what's your sun sign? Yeah.
Yeah. So what's your sun sign?
What's your astrology? What's your Zodiac?
What's your sun sign? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So yeah, we're gonna talk about what the sun represents, its
cycle throughout life, and talk about it in some of the more
notable placements. When we see the sun in these
signs, it's a little bit more potent or there's just a little

(09:25):
bit more to note there. But First off, what does the sun
represent? It's the first of all the social
planets. There are 5 social planets and
the sun is also one of two luminaries.
So the sun and moon, while they're not planets in
astronomy, they are planets in astrology, but they're also
known as the luminaries. And the sun for me, we have we,
I love talking about sort of thesun in astrology because it

(09:48):
being this main character of theplanets that we know of is so
parallel to what the sun represents in astrology.
It is your main character energy.
It's your identity. It's where you shine the most,
right? If you think about the sun alone
is able to shine light on the planet and give life to the

(10:08):
planet, give warmth to the planet.
It's where you, it's your outletof warmth and shine and talent
skill. And it's also what I like to
think of it as your story arc aslike your main character.
It's sort of the plot theme throughout your life.
Yeah, I the, the sun is really like when we, if you've listened

(10:31):
to our moon episode, if you've gone through the seasons with
us, like I always say that when I learned about my moon sign is
when I felt truly known in astrology, because that's that
who you are deep down. But if you think about just like
the astronomy of it all, the moon is illuminated by the sun.
And so like when we do have the moon lighting up, it's not it's

(10:53):
not lighting up on its own. It's being shown on by the sun,
and so the sun is that main character energy.
It is. You know, if you're choosing a
video game player of your life, it's the one that you chose to
act out your story arc, like yousaid, as this is the one who's
going through all the chapters of your life.
You chose. I chose Sagittarius character in

(11:15):
the video game of my life. Yes.
Yeah, and everything else makes up.
You can, I don't know, video game is the analogy I'm going
with right now. Or Sims, You can choose this
character, but then sometimes you get the choice of being
like, okay, well, what are they wearing?
And then you're like, all right, that's kind of Venus, that's

(11:35):
kind of ascendant. Maybe you get a list of are
they, you know, a good guy or a bad guy type of energy, you
know, like that's like, you know, so many different planets
of like your values and you knowhow you communicate and
everything. But the main character that you
chose what people know you as, that is your son.
I really did start to feel in alignment with my life when I

(11:58):
started to let myself be an Aries son.
I let myself shine by enjoying the positives of Aries and the
way that you kind of do that is the sun is, is a planet of skill
of your natural skill, of your innate talent, of your radiance,

(12:21):
what makes you radiate, what makes you shine.
And in some signs, maybe it doesn't feel as shiny right at
you know, maybe if it's an an earth sign, it's a lot more
grounded and that's where you shine.
It's your own unique kind of shine.
Whereas if you have the Sun in Leo, which is the sign that it
rules, you're going to be an extremely shiny person, someone
who really takes up a lot of space and is really visible,

(12:43):
right? The Sun is in its own sign.
It is hotter than it would be inany other sign.
So we can really feel the effects of the Sun.
So for me, with it being in Aries, I feel like I really was
able to shine when I started to recognize my own independence,
my own competence, my own physical inertia, vitality,

(13:06):
stamina. And when I feel most powerful is
when I'm being like physically active, when I'm working out and
I'm lifting heavy things and I'mfeeling the power in my physical
vessel, then I feel like I'm really shining.
And along with that, the sun is my chart ruler, which if that
doesn't make sense to you, that's fine, but a chart ruler

(13:29):
is the planet that rules your, the sign on your ascendant.
I'm a Leo rising. So as I said, the sun is the
ruler of Leo. So the sun is my chart ruler.
So I do feel as though it's so important for me to constantly
be expressing my individuality through Aries means.
So, you know, being an entrepreneur, being
self-employed, being independent, being strong, being

(13:52):
bold and impulsive, taking and taking a lot of quick action.
When you're in your warrior energy, Aries is such a warrior
and like and such a fighter. And so like, that's strength.
Yeah. Very passionate.
Yeah. Yeah.
And that like, as you were saying that I can definitely
relate to the sun energy becauselike I mentioned, when I

(14:15):
discovered my moon sign being Capricorn, that was what really
unlocked astrology for me. Because when we look at our
charts, we see the sun sign first.
That's the first thing that we look at.
And so when, you know, discovering, yes, I'm a
Sagittarius, I relate so much toSagittarius.
I've got so much Sagittarius going on to find something
different, to find that moon sign really unlock things for
me. But in recent, you know, months,

(14:37):
years, like what you just said about leaning into your Aries
more so than maybe your tourist moon or other place.
I feel like leaning into my Sagittarius recently has really
allowed me to be like, that's where I feel like I can take
charge of my life, where like myCapricorn placements want to be
that responsible and, you know, taking control of everything.

(15:00):
And my Sagittarius is like, oh, we want to have fun and we want
to explore and we want to not take things so seriously.
And actually we just want to go like, we just want to do
something and exactly and, and be joyful because Sagittarius is
such an optimistic, positive sign.
And the more that I've always like, I, I rarely am not in a

(15:22):
positive, optimistic mode. But the Capricorn that wants
control and that, you know, really needs to have a plan and
is very ambitious. Like when I remember, OK, but
you're not the Capricorn avatar video game character, you're the
Sagittarius. Like, part of what you do is
bring joy and life and optimism and who knows, energy.

(15:42):
And that's like when I do feel like I'm stepping into my story
arc best. Yeah, and I think like comparing
the sun and moon is really important because the moon,
there is an aspect of this is who you truly are.
You know, it does feel that way, that the moon is like this
private version of yourself thatonly you understand.
But I think the moon more gives you the tools to nurture your

(16:07):
emotional needs, to support yourability to shine in the way that
the sun wants you to. So for me, as long as I have a
sense of security, comfort and my sense are satisfied because
of my Taurus moon, then I have everything I need to support my
sense of independence, my desireto keep going, my, you know, all

(16:27):
of the Aries qualities that I already mentioned.
Yeah, yeah. So let us know if your son is
something that you relate to or if it's something that you feel
you're working on growing into. Because I think that as it is a
story arc, it's characters go through character development.
And so we might not even though I mean, I'm, I'm someone like

(16:47):
feel free to listen to our stelliums episode if you're
interested in that. Because I have a Sagittarius
stellium. I have more than three
placements in Sagittarius. And so I have very strong potent
Sagittarius energy. But you know, even me with all
the Sagittarius energy, I know I'm growing into my Sagittarius
in certain ways. And I think that especially I

(17:08):
think about someone like my mom, who's a Capricorn, but literally
her only any placement in Capricorn is her son.
She's got so many other placements going on.
So like to grow into that Capricorn energy is much more a
story arc, like specifically funneled like focused on that
Capricorn because there's nothing else going on in
Capricorn there. So let us know if you feel like,

(17:30):
Oh my gosh, of course, like I am, you know, an Aquarius and I
am totally embody that Aquarius energy.
Or maybe you're like, I've neverreally felt like, you know, it's
actually really funny. I was just being a Sagittarius
flying over the ocean the other day and I was talking to a just
like random person next to me and she was telling me she's a
Virgo. And she was telling me that
she's never really felt like a Virgo.

(17:51):
And that's she never related to it and she didn't understand why
she was a Virgo. And, and I, I told her I was
like, well, it's something that you can grow into as well.
Like you have these qualities intheir own way, but you'll
probably see that throughout your life, you'll grow into
those qualities a lot more. And I think that that's just
part of character development, because the Sun is your main
character. Totally.
There's an element of evolution and graduation with your sun

(18:14):
sign where, you know, when you're a kid, you probably are
like this more concentrated version of your sun sign.
And then as we grow up, we startto get to understand that we're
multifaceted and we start to pull from different parts of who
we are that we might forget thatsense of identity and that sense
of self and expression of self. But life gives you plot.
I love that the sun is just basically like if we're living

(18:36):
in a novel or we're living in a Sims game.
But yes, the plot that life hands you is often going to be
in that sunshine energy. For me as a kid, I was
constantly moving. I was, you know, very Aries
child. And then as I grew up, I started
to really get in touch with all my Taurus placements, my Pisces
placements, etcetera. But life continued to serve me

(18:58):
lessons that taught me to be more independent, that taught me
to be more bold and audacious and go after what I want.
Life gave me those opportunitiesand it was up to me to graduate
to the next level of Aries and to take those opportunities and
to grow from them and to fill upmy own shoes.

(19:18):
Yeah, yeah. Life giving you those
opportunities is so like we can see how it is like a novel or a
movie plot or, you know, whatever.
It's like, OK, this is the next, this is the next event.
This where's the, you know, where's the rising action and
falling action? And then how is this character
developing based on, you know, their life experiences?

(19:38):
It's like, yeah, I just, I mean, and I can so relate to that with
Sagittarius moving overseas and having to, you know, just be the
traveler. But then really like life
presenting so many opportunitiesof needing freedom.
And, you know, that it just, it really, I really see it so much
more now than ever, especially if you are someone like me who

(19:59):
has many placements in your sunshine.
It's sometimes hard to distinguish like, is that my
Venus? Is that my Mercury?
Is that my rising? What is that?
But when it comes to like, if you think of yourself.
That was the main character, main character events that are
happening. Like, you know, that's where I
think you're really developing that sun energy more than

(20:19):
anything else. Do you want to tell us a little
bit of the mythology with the sun?
Yeah, You know, in these planet episodes, we know I love talking
about mythology, and it's normally there's like it's one
or two ancient gossip. Oh my God that needs to be a
podcast name. Ancient gossip and just a

(20:40):
mythology podcast. You heard it here first.
Oh my God, I like love this so much.
Wait, I don't even know. Maybe there is a podcast name
that and if if there is you chose well.
Oh my God. Oh my Gemini Mars just got lit
up with the Capricorn ancient Capricorn gossip Gemini Gimme.
OK, so the the it's harder with the sun for mythology because

(21:03):
every, you know, type of mythology has its own version of
a sun God or goddess. So I'm not going to give crazy
details or stories or, you know, relationships as I can sometimes
in these episodes. But I just wanted to very
briefly go over that some Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Norse.
In Egyptian mythology, the main sun God is RA.

(21:26):
We also have Horus and Aten Atenthat are also associated with
the sun. But normally when we do our
little, you know, ancient Egypt learning about that, we hear RA
as the sun God. So that's for Egyptian
mythology, Greek mythology, we have Helios and Apollo.
So Helios is the personified version of the sun.
And then Apollo is the one that is like the God of light and in

(21:51):
Roman mythology, so, you know, very much mirroring that Greek
mythology, we have soul, which is essentially Helios, and then
Apollo, which is Apollo. And my mind is blown that we
have the same name because they never do that.
Yeah, very, very strange. But but yeah, so those are the
the ones associated with the sun.
And then in Norse mythology we have soul or Sunnah.

(22:13):
So that's the sun goddess that drives the chariot, which I also
find really interesting because I know in Greek mythology there
is also, you know, a chariot, but it's more like bringing the
night. But in Norse mythology, it is
like bringing the sun. And then Mani is the one
associated with soul, which is bringing the moon.
So we have, those are just a little overview of some sun gods

(22:35):
and goddesses in mythology. Not going to go too much more
into it than that, but we do in pretty much every culture that
we hear, you know, having their own like we learn about
mythology, there's a sun God or goddess because if you think
about it in ancient gossipy times, like just looking at the

(22:57):
stars, the main life giving bodyis the sun.
Like that is, that's main goddess energy, you know, but I
will say though, in astrology, we consider the sun to be divine
masculine and we consider the moon to be divine feminine.
So and that does not, you know, that means that as we always
mention, masculine energy is externalizing energy and then

(23:21):
feminine energy is that internalizing energy.
So it makes sense that the sun would be masculine energy
because it is your main character.
It is where you are radiating outwardly, you are expressing
that main character. So it is that divine masculine
energy. Yeah.
And in astrology there are two planets that will sort of are
delineators of your relationshipto your father or relationship

(23:42):
to masculine energy in general, and the Sun is one of them.
So in the same way that the moonis your relationship to
nurturing feminine energy or also your mother figure, the sun
is going to give you representation of your
relationship to your father figure.
So when we look at it in the sign say that you have your son
in Virgo, maybe your relationship with your father is

(24:03):
much more mercurial material, much more logical, much more
mechanical and grounded as opposed to maybe sun in Leo,
which is like, oh, we laugh together, we take up space
together, we perform together. We're always, yeah, like goading
each other on, hyping each otherup kind of thing.
So the sign that your son is in will also give you a little bit

(24:24):
of Intel on what your relationship with your father
was destined to be. That checks out for me so much
with Sagittarius and my dad being my travel buddy.
Yeah, totally. Yeah, Yeah.
So the sun cycles, like I mentioned earlier, the sun
basically takes an entire calendar year to go through the

(24:45):
entire Zodiac wheel, 360°, whichmeans that it takes one month
per sign. The sun moves roughly 1° per
day. So we have month long Zodiac
seasons, right? So Virgo season is going to last
one month from the 20th to the 20th roughly.
And then Libra season, Scorpio sages, so on and so on.

(25:07):
The Sun does not go retrograde. So the two luminaries in
astrology, the Sun and the moon are the two planets that never
go retrograde. And when the sun is transiting
something in your chart, so likesay that it is Virgo season for
me, Virgo is it falls in the part of my chart called the 2nd
house. So the sun is shining its light

(25:28):
on my second house. So we're going to start feeling
some heat and some activation inthe themes of that house.
So for a second house, it is finances, personal values, your
income, personal property, etcetera.
But if it's in your 4th house, maybe you're feeling this really
strong desire or pull or activation in needing to rest,

(25:50):
retreat, focusing on your home and your family, on nurturing
your emotional needs, etcetera, etcetera.
So you don't only have to look at your sun sign in your chart.
But when we change seasons, which I think is pretty common
knowledge now, people are like, oh, it's Virgo season, it's
Libra season. Then we can really say like, oh,
I know this falls in this part of my chart and maybe that's why

(26:12):
I'm starting to feel really activated in my career. 10th
house, 6th house, 2nd house, allthese kinds of things.
So that's more like the sun cycles and it's very cyclical.
It's very predictable. It is very predictable,
especially with no retrogrades. We know that it's continuously
going to be every single year, even though the day can change

(26:32):
by one or two days end of Augustthrough mid-september is going
to be Virgo season. Like that's when that season
happens and thinking about just the transit themes.
And if you're more interested intransits, check us out on
Patreon because we go over the transits not just with the sun,
but with all the planets and what they're doing in the sky
right now. But it is it's like it's the sun

(26:54):
is the spotlight. And like we mentioned, sun is,
you know, associated with the sign Leo, which is so
performative and like actor and inner child and joyful energy.
And when the sun is transiting apart of your chart or maybe
hitting on, like, you know, you said it's hitting a specific
house in your chart, but you also have a placement in Virgo.

(27:15):
And so during Virgo season, thatparticular placement is going to
have a spotlight on it. And you might find similar
themes every year. It took me like way long to
realize I'm like every like January, I'm always struggling
with something and it's like my Saturn, which is lessons and

(27:35):
restrictions and challenges is in Capricorn.
And always when the sun is lighting up my Saturn, some sort
of challenge in my life is highlighted.
And I was like, OK, now I can almost like mentally prepare for
it and know that that's the timeof year where all my Capricorn
gets lit up. It's going to be extra activated
during this time. So when you, you know, if you're

(27:58):
a beginner here, don't worry toomuch about that.
Let's focus on your sun and how it shows up in your life.
But if you're, you know, interested in diving a little
deeper, look at, you know, whenever the sun changes signs,
see what planets you have, what placements you have in that
sign, because then you're like, oh, this is a theme that I have
going on. Or even if you don't have any
planets or placements, look at where you have that sign in your

(28:20):
chart. And then that gives you a theme.
It gives you a little idea of how that season's going to show
up for you. And most likely you will have
similar themes every year, during every season because of
that. Yeah, you'll, you'll be able to
see the patterns in the cycles of your life.
I think that's what's so fun about seeing the sun in
astrology. I also wanted to point out

(28:41):
another thing that the sun represents is your sense of
confidence. What brings you confidence?
We can really see like you're going to feel most confident if
your son is in Taurus. Maybe you're going to feel most
confident and most empowered andlike you're taking up the right
space when you're cooking a beautiful meal or when you're in
the most comfortable setting or when you are in nature.

(29:04):
You're going to feel so confident and in line with your
identity, your sense of self. So if you're like, you know, I'm
really worried about, I don't feel very confident in XY and Z
Lean towards the sign that your son is in because that'll really
give you this sort of tool of, oh, this will really help me be
more confident. And people who have very
prominent sons, you know, say your son is in the 1st House of

(29:26):
identity of self, of showing up to the world.
That to me usually indicates someone who is quite confident,
who is aware of themselves and who expresses themselves without
hesitation. Whereas say if your son is in
the 8th house, you tend to probably swallow your identity
up or swallow that expression ofself or hide it from yourself or

(29:47):
hide it from others. Feel maybe a little bit more
private. True for also like son in the
4th house is like a much more private person, someone who
likes to keep their their cards close and not out of distrust,
but just out of this sense of safety, you know?
If you are curious about all these houses and what they mean,
we do have two episodes on that.We have Part 1 and Part 2 of the

(30:08):
houses and that might be a thingthat unlocks some stuff for
anybody listening. That's like, I always like, or
rather I never relate to my Pisces son or whatever it is.
I never relate to that. And if you find out where in
your chart that son is and OK, there's a different influence

(30:29):
going on here. And that's maybe why I don't
embody those characteristics as much as somebody else might.
It's really powerful to get as much information as possible on
your son. Where is it in your chart?
What's it interacting with in your chart?
And that can give you a, it's everything could always be
explained in astrology, which iswhy I just love Astro because
it's like, Oh, well, I never really related to being a Leo's

(30:52):
son. I have a friend who has said
she's never really related to being a Leo's son.
We looked at her chart, her son's in the 8th house, like you
mentioned, a very hidden, very private house.
And so it's like, OK, you're, you're a lot less shiny when
you're in a much more hidden space in your chart.
And so you know, or maybe somebody on the.
Opposite side more in intimate settings you don't shine on a

(31:15):
big stage like Leo is used to. Yeah.
And if you everything you read about a sign is like, oh, you're
very private and you've got yourson, I don't know, in the 5th
house, which is very performative, then it's like,
not me because it depends on where, where it.
Is. Yeah, exactly.
So if you are curious to connectmore to your son's sign,

(31:35):
definitely check out the House'sepisode or just get a reading
with an astrologer. They'll definitely give you some
insights. Yeah, for sure.
So I guess we can move on to ourlast segment, which is just like
notable placements for the sun, discussing the sign that the sun
rules and then oppositely where it's in detriment, the sign that
the sun is exalted, AKA like sort of the best assigned spot

(31:58):
for that planet to be to represent its own energy.
And then conversely where it's in fall, so that opposite sign.
Just like if you're if you're new here, every, every planet is
associated with a sign every, soevery sign associated with the
planet rather. And then we have, like Mimi just
said, also a sign that that planet does its job so well in.

(32:22):
And so we have that's the rulingplanet is the one that it's
associated with. The exalted planet is the one it
does the job so well in. And then we have the opposites
of both of those where it's like, OK, this is completely the
opposite energy of what I'm associated with.
And this is the opposite energy of where I do my job so well.
So we have a little bit more challenging aspects.
So these are kind of like highlighting the best, the best

(32:44):
places, the most notable places, like you said, that the sun can
be in. Yeah.
So as we mentioned, the Sun rules Leo.
So when the Sun is in Leo, theseare often the people who are
extremely radiant, who shine without trying, who on a less
evolved side of things are always seeking attention or
wanting validation, but on a really evolved sense of things

(33:08):
are allowing attention for themselves, which is very
natural, but also shining their light on others and making
others feel that warmth, that love, that sense of, you know,
seeing their inner child. That's what I found about like,
when I am feeling best in my Leorising, it's because I'm helping

(33:29):
other people feel seen. And I think that Leo's sons have
a real skill at doing that. They really do.
I have so many amazing Leo Suns in my life, and they make you
feel shiny with them when they're in their power.
They really like when a Leo Sun is glowing.
It's a magnified glow because they're already solar energy.

(33:50):
And then when you're one of their people, they're just
shining even brighter on you andyou get to feel shiny in the
spotlight with them. Yeah.
And that's again like the ideal, right?
That's a high frequency of Leo energy, a lower frequency of Leo
energy is someone who doesn't want anyone else to share that
that spotlight maybe because they haven't done that healing
or haven't had enough of that, you know, plot being given to

(34:12):
them to really step into, OK, I can take up space without taking
up all of the space. So that's where the Sun is like
most concentrated, is in its ownsign of Leo.
And we always everything's always on a spectrum.
You know, we always say like theevolved to unevolved and and
it's not a stagnant thing either.
We all go through our own moments of where I'm like, that

(34:34):
was perhaps an unevolved Sagittarius moment of me and
like. Yeah, we all do.
Yeah, absolutely. It is such a spectrum.
There's no like, great. I graduated, so I'm never going
back down to that point. It's like life fluctuates so
much. We fluctuate so much, but one
thing to also note with Leo but also the sun is that it's so
related to the heart space coming from a place of

(34:55):
authenticity, of truth, not in the Sagittarian way, but like,
yeah, authenticity and expression of yourself through
whatever means feels right to you.
So then when we look at where it's in detriment, the opposite
sign to Leo is Aquarius. I think there's a really
interesting one because Aquariusis a sign that to me, I always

(35:16):
think of as the one in the corner being like, oh, that's
cringy. You know, that's when I think of
the sun being in detriment in Aquarius.
It's because I feel that oh cringe energy where there's a
almost a fear of being seen so much, not wanting to be seen for
your authenticity, but rather being valued for your ideals and

(35:38):
your beliefs, beliefs and your humanitarian efforts.
There's a sense of selflessness that I think Aquarius can reach
that maybe makes sense with the sun being in detriment there.
Aquarius values being like what they're doing behind the scenes
when nobody's shining the spotlight on them.
And so that makes sense why it is in detriment because they're

(35:59):
not, they're the, they're the not behind the scenes as in
nobody notices them, but they'relike, we're doing this to do it,
not to be seen doing it. And the sun is all about being
seen. So it makes sense that it's in
that it's in detriment, but it also Aquarius is a sign that has
a, is known to be a little bit of an outsider and a little bit

(36:20):
of, you know, that not quite fitting in and the
unconventional 1. And so there is that like, well,
I'm never quite in the spotlightbecause maybe I'm never quite
doing what everybody expects. And that's what makes Aquarius
amazing. But that's why I can totally see
that detriment energy, because Aquarius is like no, the
spotlight like we're what did you you made like such a good

(36:43):
comparison. Pop versus alt.
Yes. And it was like on some sort of
like, I don't know, like open mic poetry type of stage, like,
I don't know, like underground, like that's the Aquarius,
whereas Leo is in the spotlight.Superstar at Madison Square
Garden. Exactly.
Yeah. And then when we look at where

(37:03):
the sun is exalted AK, where thesun's energy is expressed in
most complemented way, it's an Aries.
And I remember seeing that and being like, oh, awesome, I'm an
Aries. But also being like, I find this
really interesting because when we look at another fiery planet
like Mars, it's exalted in a very earthy sign, Capricorn,

(37:26):
because it tempers the fire of Mars, whereas Aries raises the
fire. Of the sun.
It's so fascinating and we can really see where they come
together like very easily, not just in their fire, but in this
sense of self and like proving yourself, feeling powerful in

(37:48):
who you are. So I, I love this exaltation,
not just for selfish reasons, but I think it's just a unique
one. I like it.
I feel like it really speaks to the element of confidence that
comes from the sun. It's like if you want like fiery
confidence, Aries like fiery confidence.
If you want the sun to be even more fiery and confident than

(38:10):
what it is, put it in that warrior independent because it's
also, you know, ego. Like that's what the sun, it's
your life. It's your life story.
And Aries shows us ego. Like that's one of the qualities
of Aries that like, you know, itis all about me and you're the
main character. So yeah, Aries is like, hell

(38:31):
yeah. I'm the main character.
Yeah, there's no inhibition. Like it's all confidence and the
Sun and Leo, like there's a lot more Leo is because of it.
It's fixed nature. It's a little bit more focus on
keeping connections alive with others, whereas Aries is so
independent that it's not alwaysgoing to be.
It could tend to be a lone wolf, which actually it's interesting

(38:52):
to see that the Sun likes that because it is just about your
individuality, your sense of self.
It's not your sense of friendships, it's not your sense
of relationships. It is about you, your identity
and who you are. And we we can really see with
the sun in Aries being really pointed towards that.
One of my pet peeves though, So many Aries do this and like as

(39:13):
an Aries, I just need to tell you all to stop doing this.
But going what? Just like the Aries of it all.
I'm just like. This is annoying when Aries do
this and at markets and stuff will be like, oh, you're an
Aries, me too. And they're like, yeah, we're
the best. And I'm like, not when you do
that, you're not OK because. My Capricorn mom does that as

(39:36):
well. Technically, sure, it is the
best. The sun in Aries is exalted.
It's the best. But we don't say that, OK?
Like we don't say it be better. That's it.
Your tourist placements are talking right now.
Every other Aries is like we arethe best.
Sure OK, I'll accept like fine, but it's so annoying.

(40:01):
Well, it's actually really fascinating then looking at the
opposite of that and where the sun is in fall being the
opposite sign of Aries is in Libra.
And that is actually everything that you just said about Aries
really helped me see it more because Libra is so not taking a
stance really wanting everybody else to be happy.

(40:23):
They live for keeping the peace. They are the mediators.
We love Libra energy. Exactly.
Like I don't take my opinion into account while talking about
this because I don't want to ruffle feathers like.
And so to completely remove yourself from the situation and
take into account everybody else's thoughts and opinions and
circumstances. I can see why it is in fall, but

(40:47):
when you see the. Power of a sun in Libra like
this is where you shine. This is where you find your
confidence. It is in your relationships.
And sure, it's not going to be like you take up space, you are
loud, you are bold, everybody looks at you, but there's still
a sense of confidence because you take care of your people so
well. And almost in the same way that

(41:09):
Leo, a sun in Leo is going to shine that light on others, I
feel like a sun in Libra is alsoshining the light on how
amazing, amazing the people are in their lives.
And like, you know, maybe there's an element of, oh, I'm
only as good as the relationships that I'm able to
maintain. And that's where we can see the
sun being in fall in Libra. But it's also like this is where

(41:32):
you can be most confident. It is your sense of negotiation,
mediation, finding peace, aesthetic beauty, creativity,
you know, like your mental game is so strong as well.
There's so many elements of a sun in Libra that so much, you
know, I kind of feel like the sun, I don't know, the sun in

(41:54):
any sign has like such a beautiful element to it because
the sun is beautiful and radiates.
So we're just radiating like thequalities of each sign.
I agree, I think to like consider any sign, you know,
detriment or fall when it comes to the sun is a little bit like

(42:15):
it doesn't, it doesn't feel as potent as maybe some of the
other placements because it's like this is your main
character, like you, there's this is who you are.
Like there's no, I don't know, you're not doing it wrong.
You're not like struggling. I mean, everybody struggles in
their own way, but it's like if you're an Aquarius, you're meant
to be an Aquarius. If you're a Libra, you're meant
to be a Libra. I feel like we learn lessons,

(42:37):
like we've talked about this, like we in a kind of recent
episode with Mars and Cancer, how that is in detriment.
You know, how that is something that it's a a challenge in your
life that I don't feel like it'sthe same type of challenge being
an Aquarius or a Libra here. It's more like, oh this energy
is not exactly in the same vibe as the sun energy but doesn't

(43:01):
matter because it's still my main character.
Exactly, Yeah. And I feel like with Libra, just
like the only thing that I'd sayabout that sun energy versus
like, you know, maybe it's not quite vibing in the same way
that Aries would. It just might feel a little
contradictory for people who maybe you are like I'm just I'm
a fire sign with my, you know, my son, which is fiery, is in a

(43:24):
fiery sign. And I think about I've got
amazing Libras in my life. And it might seem contradictory
energy to be like you're a main character who takes care of
everybody else in your life. But when you realize like, you
know, I'm just thinking OG host Tara, who's a triple Libra.
And it really baffles me sometimes where I'm like, how do
you not put yourself in this situation?

(43:46):
How do you not put yourself and your needs and your like, you
know, desires at the forefront? But then it it's actually really
helpful thinking about like, oh,because the main character
energy is the peacekeeper. The main character energy isn't
the one with strong, bold opinions here.
And that's why we. Need that role in the world.
Yes, yes, we absolutely so my. God, I think that might be the

(44:12):
worst if like out of all the 12 signs, if the entire world were
one sign, I think all of us being Aries could be the worst.
Oh my gosh, I like I never even saw this whole movie, but I just
think of the movie 300 and all of the like ads for it.
And it was just like a bunch of screaming Bach warrior men.

(44:32):
And I'm just like, I've never even seen the whole movie.
But everything in in that it's just like they're all Aries, all
of them, like all of them. I agree.
Yeah, and that's the world we live in.
OK. There would be no mediation.
We would get no problem solved. Hey, just just war.
Just war. All right, guys.
