Me Do It and we have a very joyful episode today.
The House of Joys. Yay.
What the fuck does it mean? I'm excited.
This is like, this is not something that I ever looked
(00:33):
into before. And when you mentioned it, I
mean, we know my Sagittarius asswas excited because anything joy
gets me lit up. But this is this is not an
episode that we've done before, but it could be kind of linked
to our exaltation energies. So we'll get into it and and
this is going to be kind of likea me me LED episode and I'm
(00:54):
excited. Yeah, totally.
So like Sierra said, this is sort of adjacent to Exaltation.
So I just wanted to plug real quick.
If you haven't yet listened to like every single episode and
you like the concept behind thisone, you should definitely go
check out our Exaltation and Fall episode where we discuss
what signs each planet is happiest and struggles in the
(01:14):
most. And then also you should check
out just generally the planets episode if you want to learn
about the planets and what they're trying to express, what
they're trying to do in astrology, because that's
something we're also going to bediscussing in this episode.
And then also go check us out onPatreon on TikTok, on Instagram.
We're at the stars made me podcast and patreon.com/the

projects and so many plugs and proud of us for.
Yeah, well, it's like cool to see, you know, it all comes
together and like you can hear both of our voices together in
this, like literally, but also figuratively.

like, all right, let's see what 2026 is going to bring, What do
we want to focus on this year? What kind of new series, what
information, what vibes? So yeah, please let us know your
(02:59):
suggestions or requests in the comments.
Love it. Yeah.
And so we're going to get into House of Joy and like Mimi said,
check out that Exaltation and Fall episode.
But the idea of exaltation is that there are certain planets
that do their job best in certain signs.
(03:20):
And so that I'm going to, like, pass the baton to you.
But is like that adjacent to that episode and concept.
But we're talking about houses here.
So if you need some information on houses, go check out our
Houses episode because that's just going to be such a good,
you know, foundation of knowledge before we start
talking about Houses of Joy, just to get that houses
(03:42):
information. Totally, yeah.
Such a good point. So yeah, let's get into what is
a House of joy. So First off, it comes from
Hellenistic astrology, which if you don't know what that means,
it's a really fun word. But if you don't know what that
means, it's the ancient traditional astrology that was
used kind of like like 100 BC until 700 AD or CE rather.
(04:05):
So it's very traditional. It's very ancient use of
astrology and use of, you know, planets in certain places.
So it does focus a lot on Benefix versus Malefix, which if
you don't know Benefix are Venusand Jupiter.
These are the positive quote UN quote, if you're not watching
video, quote UN quote, positive planets.
(04:25):
And then we've got the Malefix Saturn and Mars, which are the
more quote UN quote negative planets or planets that bring
about difficulties. So Hellenistic astrology is a
lot more black and white and a lot more focused on predictive
astrology, a lot more focused onlike, hey, should we be worried
about the king being beheaded tonight in this battle?
(04:47):
Well, as opposed to like, how isthe king feeling about possibly
getting beheaded? You know, So if you're
interested in Hellenistic astrology, if you're really
curious about it, I mean, I feellike the king of Hellenistic
astrology, which he'd probably hate, that title is Chris
Brennan. He's got a podcast, I mean the
astrology podcast, but he's got a course out as well.
(05:09):
And it's like a full, intensive, really great course to learn
everything about Hellenistic astrology.
He goes into a lot of cool things too, you know,
philosophical ideas and conceptsbehind astrology, the history of
astrology, sort of how astrologyis ebbed and flowed throughout
society in history. So yeah, the Houses of Joy comes
from Hellenistic astrology. And so we focus on what houses
(05:33):
each planet expresses itself best in.
So in Hellenistic astrology, we've got day planets and night
planets, which is kind of unique, you know, different from
what Sierra and I use astrology like how we use it and our very
more modern take, but the day planets are the sun, Jupiter and
Saturn and the night planets areMoon, Venus and Mars.
(05:54):
And then we've got a neutral planet Mercury.
And we always talk about, you know, throughout our entire
Mercury season, we, we kept talking about how Mercury is
neutral. Mercury is neutral because it's
not masculine or feminine, it's information based, etcetera.
But I was always coming at it from Mercury is neutral because
it's not a day or a night planet.
It simply is about like information and it's literally
(06:16):
about neutrality of that information.
So we've got the day planets, we've got the night planets, and
you'll notice that the day planets are all in their joy in
the upper half of the chart where we experience daytime.
Right when the sun is at the topof the chart, it's daytime.
And all the night planets are intheir joy in the lower half of
the chart, because that signifies night time.
(06:39):
So Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn are all in their houses of joy in
the upper half between the 8th and the 12th house.
And the night planets, Moon, Venus and Mars are all in their
joy between the 1st and the sorry the 7th to the 12th for
the day planets, and then the 1st through the 6th for the
night planets. And I'm noticing also because
this is Hellenistic astrology, we have the traditional planets.
(07:01):
We do not have the outer planetsmentioned here.
We don't have like Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.
So that's something that's interesting.
Like, I don't know if people have postulated like what those
would be, you know, considered day or night now that we have
those more modern planets. But this is using the
traditional planets of the visible planets, let's say.
(07:24):
Exactly. Yeah.
So those seven traditional planets that are visible to the
eye at the night sky. So I also loved that Mercury was
neutral because it can be seen at dawn or at dusk, like it's
always seen near the sun. It can only be seen really at
those times because that's when the sun has just dimmed enough
that we can see the planet that's always closest to it,
(07:46):
which Mercury is always only going to be at its furthest from
the sun, one sign away. So that's why it's neutrals.
We only really see it at these like very liminal times.
Yeah, the transitional times where it's like in between day
and night. Yeah, exactly.
Isn't that cool? Oh, that's fun, Yeah.
Yeah. So basically, and this episode
(08:06):
might be a little Shorty, but we're just going to discuss.
I'm going to go through each planet and say this is the house
that this this planet rejoices in, which is the terminology I
love. And, you know, sort of
discussing why it makes sense that that's where that planet is
in its joy. I also wanted to kind of mention
slash ask your thoughts on this. From what I've heard, 'cause we
(08:28):
know that again, traditionally like whole sign is the system
used with Hellenistic astrology and that's the system that you
typically use. And as I typically use Placidis,
I remember talking about this discussing with you at some
point, like if we are looking atPlacidis, I believe that we're
looking above the ascendant. Is that correct?
(08:50):
Like if we're or sorry in whole sign if something is above the
ascendant. But technically like I'm going
to give an example of my son because since I normally use
Placidus, my son is in the 11th house and that is clearly in
that day part. So I would have a sun in the day
part of my chart. But in whole sign my son as I'm
(09:11):
a Sagittarius rising Sagittariussun, my son is in the 1st house.
However, my son is 0° and my ascendant is 21° and so does
that mean that my son is technically in the day side of
things or do we still consider that in that first house?
It's certainly still a first house son but I don't have the
(09:35):
knowledge on that. Like I I flip flop between whole
sign and placidus. I enjoy both very much but I'll
I'll lean towards whole sign. Like I'll start a session off by
going with whole sign unless a client says otherwise.
But I'm not well versed in Hellenistic astrology.
I did not finish the course, so I don't know for certain.
I would probably say that's still a night chart because it
(09:58):
hasn't exited the constellation that's on the horizon like
Hellenistic. And you know, using whole sign
places less importance on the ascendant, descendant, mid
heaven and the deer then Placidus does, because Placidus
says, oh wow, well, these pointsare the angles as opposed to
whole sign that says like these, you know, the yeah, the sign
(10:22):
dictates the angles, the angularhouses.
So the first, 4th, 7th and 10th the these points like the
Midheaven, Nadir, Ascendant and Descendant don't dictate your
yeah your chart layout. OK, All right.
And, and if you need more information on Placid or Whole
Sun, we've got an episode on that too.
I will. Definitely go check that out.
(10:43):
If all of this sort of freaked you out, I totally understand.
Don't give up. This episode is actually going
to be a lot more chill. But those are very, yeah, it's a
very technical thing. So definitely go check out the
whole Sun versus Placid this episode.
But yeah, anyways, yes, we I'll let you continue on with the
houses of joy and where the sun rejoices and where all the
different plants rejoice. And I just want to say if anyone
(11:06):
has these placements, also checkout if you've got this, you
know, like for example, we're going to start with the sun and
the sun rejoices in the 9th house, which is the placement
that I have. So I'm like, oh great, my, my
son is in the House of its joy and my son is exalted in Aries.
So definitely go check out and we should go through with each
(11:27):
planet of like, OK, if your son is in the 9th and in Aries, you
know, it's in its joy and it's exalted, etcetera.
So the difference between this and the exaltation is it doesn't
necessarily dictate, or from what I read, this doesn't
necessarily dictate that the sunis in its sadness in the 3rd
house, right? It doesn't dictate that the sun
is automatically at its worst inthe opposing house.
(11:49):
It's just this is where it's at its best.
I like that a lot. I like how instead of Exaltation
and Fall where it's like, OK, the opposite of this means that
it's performing at its least, you know, happiest way.
But this is just like, let's focus on the joy.
Where is it focusing in its best?
Yeah, in its best. So I love the Sun rejoicing in
(12:09):
the 9th house, not only because that's in my Natal chart, but
because the 9th house traditionally is the House of
God. It's this House of enlightenment
and truth and experience, travelof religion and faith and
education. And then we have the Sun, which
is just shining its light in such a place of authenticity.
(12:31):
So it almost feels like this planet of authenticity and
expression of self is through God's eyes in a way, or whatever
you want to call it. The Divine's eyes sources eyes
spirit. I like that.
Yeah. I I feel like there's also, you
know, 9th house is very expansive nature and the sun
being the brightest and you know, your main character energy
(12:53):
have it feels like it has the most room to take up space in
the 9th house. Totally.
And so much more room to grow and not be so rigid about what
your identity is. It's my identity as whatever my
it's. Evolving.
Teaches me, yeah. Yeah, I like that a lot.
So really love the sun rejoicingin the 9th house, basically
(13:14):
showing that your experience will constantly help you
discover certain things about yourself and discover your
identity and express yourself. The sun is the expression,
creative expression, masculine expression.
And then putting it in the 9th House of travel, of God, of
religion, of faith, of education.
It's just very it. I think it takes away from any
(13:37):
rigidity. Yes.
And there's also something like, you know, the 1st house is all
about identity, you know, but itis a lot more, there's an
intensity to it, whereas there is a optimism to that 9th house.
So I like that it, you know, is it has it has more space and it
has less agenda more than just it's more exploration.
(14:01):
Yeah, so again, if you have yourson in the 9th and in Aries,
you're a lucky duck. Yeah, you are.
Very lucky that Next up we've got the moon and the moon
rejoices in the 3rd house. I really loved this because I
was just, you know, sitting, youknow, just sitting with these
energies like, OK, why does thisfeel good?
(14:22):
And I think it's so lovely because the moon is all about
nurturing and emotional connection.
And you know this very maternal, soft, divine feminine energy and
then you put it in the 3rd Houseof your local community, your
neighbors, your siblings, very close people in your life by
proximity. It's like, OK, I'm really
(14:43):
watering the seeds that are nearest to me.
I'm not focusing so much on seeking emotional gratification
through really faraway means. It's everything I need to gain
emotional fulfillment is in my nearby environment, is in my
family, my siblings, my friends,my local community, and really
(15:04):
placing it felt very much like planting your emotional seeds in
your local community. That is interesting.
Like the moon being in the 3rd house, the moon rejoicing in the
3rd house. There is like, I guess a
emotional balance there that it brings in a way where it's like
the moon gets to do what the moon does.
(15:26):
The moon gets to exude that emotional and nurturing and
caring and safety and everything.
But it's almost like it gets to do it in a way where in the the
3rd house, it's not our maternalduty, it's not our job.
It's our almost like our chosen community.
It's like where I want to give that emotional energy, there's a
(15:50):
little bit more of that. Like, you know, it's not an
obligation, but these are my people and I want to give that
to my people. Yeah, and it feels like the
third house we know as your environment in your early
upbringing, right? The 4th house is like your home
and your childhood, your upbringing with your family.
But the third house is your upbringing in your local
environment. And it almost feels like your
(16:12):
local environment was supportingyour emotional needs.
And so somebody with the moon inthe 3rd house, like throughout
their childhood as they were developing mentally, as you
know, because the 3rd house is your mental development in your
early life, especially early education as well, that means
that not only were they mentallydeveloping properly, but they
were offered emotional support as they were going through that.
(16:37):
Yeah, there is it. It sets up a good foundation
emotionally in that way. Yeah, exactly.
And then, you know you're able to then express your moon sign
throughout life with this sense of joy and openness because you
grew up with that support. And with others, like it's not
sheltered, just being yourself within your home.
(16:59):
It's like expressing that inner self in a social environment.
Yeah, so if you've got your Moonin the 3rd and in Taurus, you
lucky duck, which in whole sign would be if you're Pisces rising
with the Taurus moon girl, you're lucky.
(17:20):
I love that. Yeah.
All right. Next planet we're going to
discuss is Mercury. We're going in order of the
planets. So Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus,
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, next planet we've got is Mercury and
Mercury rejoices in the 1st house.
I love this. And actually this is what you
have in wholesale. So I love this because the 1st
(17:43):
house is all about showing people who you are.
But putting Mercury in the 1st house is also putting words to
it. It's also telling people who you
are and there's an authenticity to your truth.
You know, speaking your truth, communicating with self
assurance, with confidence and knowing who you are.
There's a mental fortitude in your identity.
(18:06):
I so hardcore relate to this. I love words guys, I love words
and like and I can so see yes like whole sign.
This is me. And either way, Mercury's
conjunct my ascendant, like likeMercury is part of me.
But I love the idea of that, youknow, being rejoicing in the 1st
(18:26):
house because when you can communicate something, it's,
it's kind of like it only means so much if it just exists inside
of us. And once we get to express it,
once we get to process it, it also doesn't mean so much unless
we have an understanding. Like you can experience
something, but unless you understand and process it, it
doesn't mean as much. And, and so there is this like,
(18:48):
you know, Mercury is both the information we take in and the
information that we put out. And this rejoicing in the 1st
house that it just, there's sucha expression of self that comes
with that first house and an understanding of self and a, an
immediate ability to, I guess, communicate.
(19:12):
There's just, there's just communication ability.
And, and I think that when you are looking at first house ideas
and how you just present yourself to the world, if you're
able to communicate who you are to the world, that would be
Mercury rejoicing because it's like we don't have to go through
any obstacles in order to express, in order to transmute
that information. We show up that way.
(19:34):
Yeah, and it's similar to how like Moon and 3rd house, you
know, Moon is very emotional and3rd house is a lot more about
mental development. Mercury is so mental and 1st
house is so physical. It's your physical body or
physical appearance. So there's this element of
balance that's happening here too, because it's not just about
I am a physical being and these are the things I'm capable of
doing. It's also like I'm a mental
(19:56):
being too. And there's a connection between
the two, between your mind and your body.
Yeah, I love that. You're so right.
It is that first house, that physicality and also like first
house is not neutral. First house is passion, like
fiery, driven and in your face. And so bringing that neutrality
there is really a lovely balanceof yeah.
(20:19):
Tempers it. Yeah, exactly.
And so if you've got Mercury in the 1st house and in Virgo, you
might be a lucky duck. Oh.
I forget that. Mercury is exalted in its own
sign. I know I was, I was sitting here
kind of panicked 'cause I was like, do I not know where
Mercury is exalted? I was like, oh, right.
It's because it's in where it's also in its domicile.
(20:40):
So if you're a Virgo rising withMercury in Virgo, yeah, good for
you. Lucky duck.
Next up, Venus. Venus is exalted in the 5th
house. And I love this so much because
Venus. I love that.
I think in more modern and like pop and like social media,
astrology, Venus is all about love and relationships, but
(21:02):
Venus is about feeling good. Venus is about gratifying those
physical sensations that bring you pleasure.
And then you put it in the 5th house, which is your heart's
desires, which is your friendships, your inner child.
This is like such a beautiful House of joy.
I feel like because it's just like finding pleasure in
(21:23):
pleasure and in a really authentic way.
It's not just like in a greedy way, it's 5th house is very
authentic to your heart space. You're indulging in your
talents, in your hobbies, in what brings you joy.
You're performing, but you're still being very, you know,
connected to the divine femininewith Venus there.
(21:44):
So yeah, that's, I thought, a really lovely house for Venus.
Also, Venus is all about creativity and so to have the
5th house, which is so, you know, self-expression, but you
know, creative expression and that inner child joy and having
Venus be in a house that is encouraging it to express and be
(22:06):
creative that it, this is not the same energy of that
tempering that we were talking about.
It's like it's, it's so extra supportive of Venusian energy.
It's like you feel good, show it, you feel good, feel better.
You know, you like, does something light you up?
Let's make it passionate like. It's not like we need to balance
(22:28):
out that you're feeling good. It's like, yes, please feel.
Better. Yeah.
Yeah. Oh, I really, really like that.
Yeah. And I think of like, if I were
to see somebody with Venus in the 5th, I'd be like, wow, this
is a year, a life, not a year when we're talking about this is
a lifetime of healing through the inner child.
And, and just like it's, it's not a way in which I feel like
(22:52):
you'd get lost in love or get lost in the feeling good.
It's, it's there'd be a spotlight on it.
You'd be so sure of what makes you feel good.
Yeah. Yeah.
So where is Venus exalted? Pisces.
Thank you. OK.
If you're Scorpio rising. If you're Scorpio rising, you
(23:17):
got Venus in Pisces in the 5th house.
You are a lucky duck. That.
I'm sticking with this, so just be ready.
There's could be a lucky duck reference in each one.
Lucky ducks. Yep, I'm here for it.
Yep, thank you. I can see the future visual
where we put out all of these and just have a duck next to.
Just a really happy duck and then we can have a really sad
ducks of which I want gotta balance it out.
(23:39):
No, this is the house. OK, Next up we've got one that
Sierra also has Mars. Mars rejoices in the 6th house.
Now this is the first planet in Hellenistic astrology that we
see as the malefic. So Sun and Moon are like neutral
(24:00):
when it comes to bonific malefic.
They're just informative. Mercury is neutral and then
Venus is the first bonific and then we've got Mars, which is
the first malefic. So actually the two malefic
planets they put in these housesthat are known in Hellenistic
astrology as more negative houses as well.
So I thought that was really interesting that it's like, OK,
they're putting this harsh quoteUN quote planet in a harsh quote
(24:23):
UN quote house and they're saying that's where it's it is
in its joy. But it's almost like you can't
be happy in a happy house. Well, no.
It's like if anyone can handle this tough house, it's this
tough planet kind of thing. And I do love having Mars in its
joy in the 6th house because it's very productive.
(24:45):
Mars is about productivity, but it can lend itself to be very
ego driven and very aggressive. But the 6th house is this House
of service and this House of getting things done on a daily
basis, whether they're small tasks or big tasks, it's your
day today life. So this to me shows like it's
tempering, right? It's tempering that selfishness
(25:05):
with the acts of service. It's tempering this hot headed
impulsiveness with, you know, chugging away a little bit at a
time, like doing a little bit ata time with the 6th House
Energy. So Mars in the 6th house is a
very happy placement, very productive placement.
Feel like I need to embody that right now because I have not
(25:26):
been feeling exceptionally productive this week.
But no, I, I'm, I really do likethat energy and it's actually,
I'm going to definitely sit and reflect with this one because I
focus so often that, you know, on the, on the sign that my Mars
is in or the fact that it's retrograde.
And I, I feel like it's been a while since I really sat with
the 6th house nature of it all and everything that you just
(25:46):
mentioned of like being in service that.
And I really do like that for Mars energy because Mars is an
ego planet and you know, it's doing things because it must do,
like it must take action. Like that's what Mars does.
And so it feels like, well, if you're going to take action,
(26:07):
make it productive little by little so that you don't burn
out and do it so that you're also helping other people, not
just yourself. And that feels, yeah, that very
6th House Energy. And, and also 6th house is our
mundane, our everyday, It can beour work life, you know, And so
it's like if we can put our motor, our engine there and make
(26:31):
sure that we are getting things done every single day, we know
that we're eventually going to achieve whatever we want to
achieve. We're eventually going to reach
whatever point we're going to reach because we're doing
something a little bit every day.
So I do like that Mars in the 6th.
House Energy. Me too.
It feels very highly energized. Yeah, it has a It has.
(26:52):
It gives Mars a job to do, you know, as opposed to just like,
Yeah. Because there's always something
to do with Six House, you know it's.
It's reminding me of like, you know, when you have a really
energetic, like young child and they need to just like run
around the park, you know, you just need to like get the energy
out. But if you give them a task,
they feel so much more productive with it.
Like they're like, oh, I can go bring this to the neighbor.
(27:13):
I can go do this over here. And it's like giving in that
energy somewhere to go. In an outlet, totally.
And it feels like, oh, I'm not going to feel bogged down by
these responsibilities or these tasks.
I mean responsibilities, sure, depending on the sign, you could
get bogged down by responsibilities.
But Mars in its happy sign whereit's exalted Capricorn, it
(27:34):
definitely wants to take care ofits responsibilities and then
put it in the 6th house. It's going to take care of the
responsibilities in small ways every day so that they're never
overwhelmed in a big way. If you've got Mars in Capricorn
in the 6th house, like the amount in which your life must
be working out, like please callme and help me, you know?
(27:54):
But I'm just like, I really love, I love the idea of Mars
and Capricorn in the 6th house for productivity.
The Capricorn in me loves that. This would be another Leo
rising. So it would be if you have Mars
and Cap in the 6th house, by wholesine standards you're a Leo
rising. So it's the second time we've
had this rising. It's for the Sun in Aries and
9th and for Mars in Capricorn inthe 6th, which is interesting to
(28:15):
think that these two planets would be square one another if
they're in their joy, you know, if they're both in their joy.
So actually, you know, even withthis like perfect situation
chart, there's still going to be, you know, push and pull
between the two because your sonrejoicing in the 9th house is
all about expansive. And in order to be expansive and
be open, you have to be preparedto not always be doing something
(28:39):
or checking something off the list, which Mars and Capricorn
in the 6th is like, Nope, I'm going to keep, keep at the
schedule, right? I've got a schedule.
I've got a legacy to build. I know what I'm doing here.
And the sun and the 9th is like,I don't know what I'm doing
here. And I'm glad that I don't know
what I'm doing here because it lends itself to learning more.
And that's why you have coined your own term exalted sad bitch,
(29:01):
because you're like, you have you have you have exalted sun
and moon, and then you have yourson in the House of joy.
But you also have other placements in your chart.
And you're, you know, you're feeling through a lot of things.
You're moving through all different types of experiences
and emotions that you might not think of for somebody who has
(29:21):
two their sun and moon exalted their son, you know, in the
House of joy. So they're always the whole
chart matters. And where the houses of joy is a
little different than the exaltation, it's like the
exaltation is, you know, if you have a planet that's exalted,
that power is within you, the power to feel through with the
moon and Taurus, the power to feel through and be present in
(29:44):
your emotions, that's within youwhen it's in the House of its
joy. This is life circumstances
offering you opportunity. So it's a little, you know, my
son in the 9th house, I might not be completely, I might be a
little blind to some of the opportunities that life has
given me or some of the ways in which I've been offered a lot of
(30:04):
abundance or fortune or lessons or, you know, knowledge with
that 9th House Energy. But my son being an Aries, that
power, that ability to be strongwilled and determined, you know,
take action, all those Aries characteristics that comes from
within me. So again, you kind of see the
difference between signs and houses, where signs is a lot
(30:26):
more character traits, your personality, and houses is more
like the areas of life that theyshow up in.
I like that how you put that about the areas of life that are
bringing opportunity. Yeah.
So Next up, we're going into thesocial planets.
We have got Jupiter. So Jupiter is in its House of
(30:46):
joy in the 11th house opposing Venus.
So we've got the benefits here opposing one another with Venus
in the 5th and then Jupiter in the 11th.
I like Jupiter in the 11th. I think that you know, Jupiter
it feels similar in a way of thesun being in the 9th.
The sun is, you know, that main like life force, being in a
(31:09):
house that is big enough to holdit.
And Jupiter being in the 11th house feels that way for me too,
for Jupiter being the biggest planet outside of the luminary.
You know, I, I feel like the 11th house can allow for
Jupiter's expansive nature and in its optimistic quest for
(31:30):
truth and understanding, it can use that connective energy of
the 11th house that isn't withinyour neighborhood or within your
one-on-one relationships, but ina networking, scheming and and
the dreaming, not sleeping, dreaming, but like dreaming for
like bigger things in life. I really like Jupiter being
(31:50):
there because it it really allows for opportunities to be
lucky. It allows for more connections,
more possibilities and Jupiter more is more and I feel like the
11th house allows for that more energy.
Totally couldn't have said aboutit myself.
I think like Jupiter, we got thefirst social planet in just like
(32:11):
an expansively social house, which is about large like minded
communities. It's very much, yeah.
I mean you said it perfectly. Just like gaining more
experience, gaining more knowledge, gaining more social
interaction through this house. Very, very positive experience.
And then Jupiter's exalted in Cancer.
(32:33):
Yeah, so there's another Virgo rising situation, So it's the
second one. If you've got Virgo rising,
Mercury in Virgo and Jupiter in Cancer, you lucky duck.
Wow. Wow, to have Jupiter in Cancer
in the 11th house, I feel like that would just be the energy of
every single person that you meet it.
(32:54):
Feels like family. They're instant connection,
yeah. And you learn so much from each
member of that family. It's a very accepting, such an
accepting energy. And Jupiter loves like, you
know, no restrictions. And so that like, if everybody
you meet is like a family memberand there is that nurturing,
(33:16):
caring, understanding, openness with everybody, then of course
your luck is expanding because it's an emotional sense with
that Cancer energy, but it's in a networking sense as well.
And then lastly, we've got Saturn, the second malefic in
what is in Hellenistic astrologyknown as just the worst house,
(33:37):
the 12th house. Saturn is in its joy in the 12th
house. And I find this so interesting
because if we think of the 12th house, especially in traditional
astrology as a House of isolation and self undoing, it's
often with a lot of 12th house placements, you'll see these
people isolated through like asylums or prison, etcetera,
(33:57):
where now we have less of those extremes.
We have more people who are experiencing isolation in
different ways. You know, you have 12th house
placements and there is a sense of isolation because you live in
a foreign country. So and we can see that, I mean,
with your placements, if we're looking at plastic, this was
Sagittarius placements in the 12th.
It's like you're not isolated because you're in prison.
You're isolated because you livein a foreign land, literally.
(34:20):
So like, yeah. But what I love about Saturn
being and it's joined the 12th house is Saturn is a planet of
maturity, of growth and of of gaining wisdom through hard
experiences, essentially. And then we put that in the 12th
house. It's like, I have met some
people with Saturn in the 12th and all I want to do is
apologize on behalf of the universe because it is a hard
(34:44):
placement that Saturn return is not an easy one.
But those are also some of the wisest, most incredibly
resilient, strong and beautiful souls that I have ever met.
Because when you're put through the wringer with a Saturn in the
12th house, you really, you cannot avoid the lessons and the
growth and the rewards that Saturn does give you.
(35:05):
So very, very powerful. That is, I, I have like, I feel
like I need to digest the idea of Saturn being in the House of
joy in the in in the 12th house. It's the the first thing that
came to me, which I don't know if this is completely off, but
there's the 12th house can be a hidden energy and it can be such
(35:26):
an inner world dream, like literally while you're sleeping
energy. And so I wonder if also so much
of the work that you're doing for learning those lessons is
done in an internal way, is literally done in your dreams,
is done in, you know, the moments where you are doing
whatever like version of your escapism that 12th house, you
(35:48):
know, needs. And, and there's something about
when you're in those already hard moments, the lessons are
being learned like almost as a, you know, it's just part of it
because everything's all connected in 12th house.
So I could see it being OK, Thisis hidden.
So you might not even realize how many lessons you have
(36:09):
learned. Yeah, yeah.
Where it's like, actually you learned a lot of your lessons in
past lives or you learned a lot of your lessons through
energetic release, you know, notthe physical realm.
Yes. Oh, it's so interesting that
like Hellenistic astrology is like just double middle fingers
to Saturn and like all the middle fingers to the 12th
(36:31):
house. And it's like, oh, you know
where you're in your House of joy, You know, like.
The House of Depression. It's so like, it's like so rude,
but also ironic and hilarious and like, but then there's also
part of me that likes what you were saying before, where it's
like, that's the house that could freaking handle Saturn.
(36:51):
Yeah, exactly. And then you think of what sign
Saturn is exalted in Libra. So a this is another Scorpio
rising, just like the Venus in Pisces in the 5th.
So you could be a Scorpio risingwith both Venus and Saturn in
their houses of joy. So Saturn in Libra in the 12th
house. I kind of like, I can see this
(37:11):
journey playing out because it'slearning to dissolve or learning
how you dissolve yourself in your relationships and growing
and maturing through that process.
I and it it feels very like seeing the truth of the
universe's lessons and messages in a neutral way, and like
(37:35):
gaining that wisdom of being able to see all sides of
something, being able to gain perspective through that more
neutral Libron way. And then maturing and becoming
like this wise sage or this wiseleader, in a way in a more
spiritual realm. That would be so interesting
thinking of that Scorpio rising having then the Saturn in Libra
(37:57):
in the 12th. And just like the way in which
Scorpio rising would crave intensity in relationships.
But then that Saturn being a hard lesson in relationships
with Libra going on there. But then being able to figure it
out with that 12th house, you know, of joy for it and learning
so much. Yeah, that that would be a
(38:20):
journey. But I but fascinating 1 Exactly.
And then I thought, I mean, we're at a shortish point, but
it could be kind of fun to postulate if we wanted to very
unofficially, like, you know, we're, we're exiting the
official traditional Hellenisticastrology and it, I'm just
curious on thoughts for Neptune,Uranus and Jupiter cause we've
(38:41):
got the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 10th houses left.
I feel like Neptune in the 8th. Oh, I don't think that's where
it's in. It's joy.
I would, I would. It's so funny.
I was thinking the exact opposite.
I was thinking the second house.Really.
Yeah, 'cause it's almost that same balance of like.
(39:02):
I know, I get it, I get it. It's the Saturn in the 12th.
It's the like Neptune's version of Saturn in the 12th would be
Neptune in the second. But I just feel like.
So I don't think so. I think it's just balancing the
same way that like Moon in the third is like very balancing
energy, Neptune in the second would like bring out both sides.
(39:23):
I think it would be balanced, but I don't know something about
something about like being extrait it feels like to me, having
Venus in the 5th house is like having Neptune in the 8th where
it's. Yeah, exactly.
It's just doubling down South. Much and we can like like just
(39:45):
get rid of all illusion and alsolean into all of the illusions.
And so that's where my brain went more of like that doubling
down in the Venus being like rejoicing in the 5th.
I feel like Neptune could in the8th but I get it.
Just throwing it out there, likeNeptune in the 7th is kind of
cool too because we think of like relationships, Piscean
(40:06):
energy. I mean, Venus is exalted in
Pisces. So like that would be kind of an
interesting one as well. And like that's a Neptune is
about collective consciousness. So then putting that in the 7th
is being extremely in tune and intuitive with others.
That's true. OK.
And then Uranus, I kind of, I kind of feel like the 10th.
(40:29):
I like that. Yep, I like that because it's,
you know, the way in which, you know, getting these kind of
divine insights, but also it is very expansive and and it's a
higher octave of mercury. It's brain power, it's how the
world sees you. But it's traditionally, you
know, that public work life and and having higher thoughts in
(40:53):
that world. I like that a lot.
Yeah, I like it because I think Uranus is this planet of major
change in a, in a construct way. It's changing the way society
works. And the 10th house is the rules
of society. And you know, Uranus isn't
changing it just for the sake oflike, I'm bored, let me change
it. It's changing it for the
betterment of humanity. So then putting it in the 10th
house would be like, you know, think of it on a grand scale.
(41:15):
If the government bodies had Uranus in the 10th, it would be
constant change and an evolutionof policy for the betterment of
humanity. Wouldn't that be nice?
Wouldn't it be nice there and then Pluto?
(41:35):
I'm curious. I like this is just me.
Like this is just pure fuckery because we haven't used it yet.
Like what? What do we think about it in the
4th? I mean, I was kind of thinking
the fourth too, and I'm like, this is my fucking placement so.
Yeah, yeah. It's a deep transformation of
self. I mean, I just knowing how it
played out, like actually tangibly in my life, like, yeah,
(41:59):
upbringing and childhood in yourhome and family, like security
wise doesn't feel great for Pluto because Pluto is
constantly like it's a place of insecurity because you're
constantly transforming. So there's no security in what
your circumstances are. But I do think that this in a
native, it's similar to Saturn in the 12th.
It's like this brings out your resilience and your ability to
(42:22):
transform and accept death and rebirth as a part of life.
And as like, you know, 4th houseis very emotional and very
formative emotions and, you knowthat foundational.
And if we can transform that andnot just stick with what we
learned as a kid, if we can, youknow, keep going and moving
(42:45):
through our life and reformulatethe way in which, Yeah, I think
that that actually could be really nice to have that Pluto
there or. Considered.
Yeah, so there you go. You're just like rejoicing
everywhere. You're exalted everywhere.
Let you go. Wow, that feels like that mug
that says enjoy the journey thatI had to get rid of 'cause I
felt like it was mocking me. You know what?
(43:11):
I just can't right now. Thank you.
Oh my gosh, life is. Good.
I'm OK. I'm very happy generally.
Just we like to make some jokes generally.
You know, this is interesting for anybody who is listening to
this and like you have all of these, you know, placements and
you're like, why am I not happier?
Or what is like? There's just, there's so many
(43:33):
things that do come into play. And I'm thinking like
personally, like I've got a lot of the opposite ones of these,
like when we were doing, you know, like in fall and like, and
having, you know, Saturn in the 1st Saturn in Capricorn, like
I've got a lot of placements that, you know, would not be
considered happy placements. And in general, we consider.
You would be getting beheaded inbattle.
(43:53):
I would, I would. I would not.
You and you know what love that for you don't love it for me.
But I will say, even though I don't have the exaltations and
like many like Houses of Joy, I'm a really happy person.
And so I just feel like it is sojust reassuring every single
(44:16):
time of how your whole chart comes into play.
I would love to know if anybody listening has these placements
relates to them. Or if you're like, wait, what?
Now you're telling me it's in the House of Joy?
How how does that work? Like, because it really, you
can't just look at one thing isolated.
You really do have to put everything together.
Put it all together. Yeah, yeah.
Put your hands together. Hello, Joe.
(44:38):
This was. Great.
Yeah, this is a really cool topic and and it's sort of just
a stand alone, like maybe a moreadvanced, but even then I feel
like we simplified it enough where it's just like, hey,
here's some information and and run with it and play with it and
yeah, explore. Like Sierra said, just reflect
on hey, I have this placement and I do or don't relate to it.
Yeah, very interesting. So thank you so much for
(45:00):
listening, for tuning into this week's episode #282 that's
insane. And Sierra, why did we talk
about the Houses of Joy today? Because the stars made us do it.
