Episode 140. Embracing the Child Within by Karyn Lynn Grant, LMT, The Joy Coach
In this heartwarming episode, Karyn Lynn Grant invites you to lovingly reconnect with the child within—the laughing child, the singing child, the forgiving child. These radiant aspects of your inner being have always existed, divinely assured, yet they may have been forgotten or set aside amid life’s responsibilities, trials, and grown-up expectations.
Through mindful meditation, music, and gentle reflection, Karyn helps create a sacred space where your inner child feels safe to emerge—unblemished, beloved, and full of light. This guided experience is designed to awaken joy, nurture innocence, and tenderly restore your original connection to divine love.
To deepen the experience, Karyn encourages a healing art practice using non-dominant hand drawing or writing as a form of expressive dialogue with the inner child. Simply place a pencil, crayon, or marker in your dominant hand and ask your inner child heartfelt questions. Then, respond using your non-dominant hand—allowing innocence, truth, and buried emotion to rise gently to the surface.
For those interested in exploring this therapeutic approach further, Karyn recommends the pioneering work of Lucia Capacchione, especially her teachings in “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.”
