Speaker 8 (01:40):
Favorite bets for the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
You could go with the minus one tens and the
you know the easy shots. You can go with a
long shot and try to boost your odds to win
the contest. A lot of different ways of cutting the pie,
but we've got all the best here from the Gambler,
given our favorite picks on the Super Bowl and starting
it off, we've got our guy Luke R Kaney. You
(02:03):
can follow over r Caney Luke Luke, how we feeling
feeling great?
Speaker 9 (02:09):
I'm ready to go. I just kind of need the
game to be here.
Speaker 10 (02:13):
I'm like, not Eagles out, but it's just it's it's
been a lot of you know, the same conversations for
the last week and a half.
Speaker 9 (02:20):
I'm ready to go with the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
I am.
Speaker 9 (02:22):
I am very much just ready for six thirty tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
I'll say that.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Yeah, it's been a long time here breaking it down
on the station two weeks. I don't know why it
didn't feel this way last year or two years ago,
I should say.
Speaker 8 (02:37):
When the Eagles made it in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
But this feels like an eternity to wait here and
let's get started. Then we've got everyone given their five
favorite bets. Luke, I don't know if you want to
start with your favorite, if you want to build up
to your favorite which way you want.
Speaker 9 (02:55):
To go, I will go from five.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I'll go to five.
Speaker 11 (02:59):
How about that.
Speaker 10 (03:00):
I'm going to give you one Chiefs prop and the
rest will be Eagles. I never, I rarely.
Speaker 9 (03:10):
Bet again it's my own team.
Speaker 10 (03:13):
But the one prop from the chief side that I'm
that I'm really looking at number five for me would
be Travis Kelcey over six and a half receptions at
plus one twenty six. I think if it's going to
be anybody for the Chiefs, I think we know it's
going to be Travis kelce I think we know how
the Eagles haven't defended lot sort of great against tight
(03:33):
ends this year, and I think when you're going up
against a guy like Travis kelce I think he's bound
to probably have the advantage there. Once again, I'm not
a huge, you know, bet props against your team guy,
But if there is one guy from the Chiefs that
I'd probably look at as far as props, it would
be Travis Kelcey over six and a.
Speaker 12 (03:53):
Half receptions plus one twenty six.
Speaker 9 (03:55):
That's number five for me.
Speaker 8 (03:56):
Yeah, Kelsey's a guy.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
I have a list of bets that I'm not making
that I'm not allowing myself to make, but Travis Kelcey's
top in the list if you just look at his career,
at his playoff career, I mean even just two weeks
ago or I guess four weeks ago now, but seven
for one seventeen in a touchdown against Houston. Obviously was
held quiet against Buffalo, but he hasn't had two straight
(04:18):
games under sixty two yards in the playoffs since twenty twenty.
I didn't look at that from a catches perspective because
I was looking at the over sixty two and a
half didn't end up making my list, But I think
any way you can bet Travis Kelcey is probably a
good way. I think he's probably catching nine or ten
balls for one hundred plus yards and a touchdown.
Speaker 8 (04:37):
So you want to go over.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Six and a half catches, you want to go over
sixty two and a half yards, you want to go touchdown.
Speaker 8 (04:42):
Plus one thirty five? All good with me.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
I think all three are pretty solid bets. Anything for
Kelsey for you.
Speaker 13 (04:48):
Bernard, Yeah, that is my biggest fear from this Chiefs
team overall. And really, what kind of it narrows down
for me is none of the wide receivers I think
really have a chance and sort of this you know,
cornerback slash secondary matchup with Eagles team, it's gonna be
about scheming guys open and Travis Kelsey's obviously going to
be their jack of all trades, their number one weapon there,
So that is kind of what I expect there. I
won't be backing them myself out of you know, rooting
(05:10):
interest and hoping that is not the case. But if
I had to go any direction for a Chiefs bet,
it is absolutely Travis Kelsey. As far as Catches, also
got kind of a sneaking suspicion DeAndre Hopkins could make
an appearance in the end, so in there, that's one
of my fears as well.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Chris Berman gave that out on part of my take.
He's big on DeAndre Hopkins doing something in this game.
And by the way, that's my co host as always
over there, Sean Bernard. We had a little technical difficulties
off the top that made me go straight to Luke
to make sure we were all good. But that's sewn
utter score Butnard one as always. You could follow him
on Twitter. He's behind the ones and twos over there.
(05:43):
My cost on the Tough Cover Show he'll be giving
out his top five, I think towards the end of
the hour with me here.
Speaker 8 (05:48):
But let's get back to Luke here now. He gave
out number five Travis Kelsey over six and a half catches.
What's number four?
Speaker 10 (05:54):
Number four is sort of a combo Devonte Smith in
the touchdown market, I like Davante Smith anytime plus two
sixty and I am going to take them first at
seventeen to one. That's that I think is going to
be my first touchdown bet for the Super Bowl. I
think it's I think it's pretty good odds for the
second best receiver on the Eagles.
Speaker 9 (06:14):
Seventeen to one.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
There.
Speaker 10 (06:16):
I don't know, it feels. It feels to me like
this has a big chance to be the Smitty game.
I like a lot of Smitty just props in general.
But I think we've seen, you know, how he matches
up against the Spags defenses the last few years. The
Eagles haven't necessarily, I would say, on leash Smitty so
far in the playoffs, and I think this Chiefs defense,
(06:37):
I think this is most likely the shot to do it.
So as as far as like a combo just Smitty
touchdown in general, I like the any time at plus
two to sixty. But my first bet for this game
is going to be Smitty at US seventeen to one there, so.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
We're not throwing Smith any time in there. It's just
the first touchdown for the top five.
Speaker 9 (06:57):
It can kind of be both.
Speaker 10 (06:58):
It'll be like a combo Smitty in general, the touchdowns.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
How about that?
Speaker 8 (07:03):
I got you, I got you? What's up next?
Speaker 10 (07:05):
Number three is actually going back to Smitty and I
really really really.
Speaker 9 (07:13):
Like his over fifty two and a half.
Speaker 10 (07:16):
It's minus one twelve over fifty two and a half
receiving yards.
Speaker 9 (07:19):
Once again, I just feel like this.
Speaker 10 (07:21):
I feel like this has a very good chance for
me to be a Devonte Smith game.
Speaker 9 (07:26):
I think when you look Monday morning, and.
Speaker 10 (07:29):
I asked Roy this a few days ago, I asked
Tandy this a few weeks ago. You know we have
like the AJ Brown game, or a few weeks ago.
You know we had the the Orrin Burks game a
few months back. If you looked at this Monday morning,
who do you think this that you could say this
was the blank blank game. And while my answer is
Jalen hurts Oh, I think this has the chance to
(07:51):
possibly be the Devonte Smith game, if not the Hurts game.
I just I really, really really like DeVante Smith. I
think it works in his face that they haven't used
him a lot in the playoffs. I think they're just scoring,
they're just basically looking to just like unleash him tomorrow.
So I am I am really all over most many props,
(08:12):
but I like the over fifty two and a half
at minus one twelve.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
Yeah, I think you look at Davante's numbers against Kansas City,
six plus catches in each of the three games, ninety
nine plus yards in each of the three games. I
think he had two touchdowns in those three games. I
know Sean Bernard is riding with you. You're You're all
over Davante.
Speaker 13 (08:28):
Yeah, that is one of my top five bets for
this as well as I got it a fifty one
and a half earlier in the week. Still not gonna,
you know, one yard make too much of a difference there.
I think Smitty's going to be active in this game,
and in particular sort of my overall wide scale not
to get too deep into this, but I do believe
that the clear focus from the Chiefs direction is going
to be on stopping sakuon Barkley. I think they're going
to live and die with having Jalen Hurts beat them,
and I think that's how things are going to be
(08:49):
playing out here. So I expect Jalen to be airing
the ball out a little bit more than I think
is kind of nationally been talked about there, and Smitty
better than kind of the perception of him as well.
So as aj Brown commands all this attention, I think
Smitty does some damage over the middle, making things happen
so very much like the Smitty over fifty one and
a half there.
Speaker 8 (09:06):
I totally get where you guys are coming from there
for sure.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
You know you guys know my take. I think it's
all about eleven on Sunday.
Speaker 8 (09:13):
I love it.
Speaker 10 (09:14):
I think it could be both of them, like I
absolutely it can be both of.
Speaker 9 (09:17):
Them, which is a very good segue into my number two.
Speaker 10 (09:21):
Jalen Hurts over two hundred and thirteen and a half
passing yards at minus one oh nine.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
I'm also taking some ALLT lines.
Speaker 10 (09:29):
I just think he's got I think he's gonna have
to throw the ball, I said, just like Sean said,
I think the Chiefs, I don't think they're gonna do it.
Speaker 8 (09:36):
But I think their.
Speaker 10 (09:37):
Goal, their only goal going into the game is to
stop stop Saquan and make Jalen throw the ball.
Speaker 9 (09:42):
Their goal is for Jalen Hurts to have to throw
the ball thirty thirty five times.
Speaker 10 (09:46):
Tomorrow, I'm gonna look at two twenty five plus one sixteen.
I'm gonna look at two fifty plus two to eighteen.
And you know, if I wake up tomorrow and I
feel a little saucy, I might look at three hundred
plus and plus seven hundred. But really his line right now?
Speaker 14 (10:01):
Yeah, and did over three?
Speaker 3 (10:05):
He did?
Speaker 10 (10:05):
And if he's going to air it out, and you
know everyone's on God her and you love aj and
me and Sean love Smitty. It says to you that
he should probably go over the number.
Speaker 9 (10:17):
So Jalen Hurts passing yards that is my number two.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Yeah, I think Jalen has a big day. I think
he's gonna have to.
Speaker 8 (10:24):
I really do. For all the reasons that you brought up,
I absolutely agree. What is the best bet? Number one
here on the list.
Speaker 9 (10:34):
Eagles minus one oh five. Love it Eagles, Eagles.
Speaker 10 (10:39):
It's it's the obvious number one. I placed it earlier
in the week. I got it at plus one oh two.
But it's the Birds, man, I've said it all week.
I think the Eagles can win by a touchdown. I
think they can win by ten if if they play,
If the Eagles play how they played against Washington, I
I think they could make this game a game that
(11:00):
we look back on and think about, Hey, that was
really never that close. Do I think there's a good
chance that happens. No, just because who's on the other
side of the ball. But that's my best bet. Eagles
money line. I think they win. I've said it since
the Cincinnati Bengals game the second that they came out,
and I mean, I was this team has it. They've
(11:23):
they've had it all year. They've they've had it in
the playoffs, and it's the bottom line that they're just
the better overall team tomorrow. So Eagles plus one h
two for me right now, it's a It's at minus
one oh five on DraftKings, but Eagles money line is
my number one bet.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Love it.
Speaker 8 (11:39):
What's the score?
Speaker 10 (11:41):
Oh, I said this on radio yesterday. Saw I'll stick
with the same score. Thirty one to twenty Eagles.
Speaker 8 (11:47):
Thirty one to twenty.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Love it.
Speaker 8 (11:49):
That's an over right there.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
I have to go back and check to make sure
I get everybody scores correct here in my notes. But
for Luke, we got Travis Kelce over six and a
half catches, Davante Smith first touchdown, seventeen to one, Davante
Smith over fifty two and a half receiving yards, Jalen
over to twelve and a half pass yards, Eagles money
line for the contest. Luke, thanks so much for coming
(12:12):
on man, Yes, sir, appreciate you.
Speaker 8 (12:15):
Birds go Birds, Birds.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
And another member of the contest is is Nick McClay
ready to go over there in the in the beef
McLay manner with tubs in tow, ready to give his
top five picks Schamernard.
Speaker 13 (12:30):
Yeah, he is popping right on right now, so I'm
gonna add him right to the mix. Heer McLay being
thrown right in the dungeon here, So yeah, taking away boys.
Speaker 8 (12:39):
There he is Nick McClay. You can do. We're doing, boys,
How we doing?
Speaker 5 (12:44):
We're doing fantastic? How could we be doing any better?
One day away from the Super Bowl with the birds.
And you can give Nick a follow over on Twitter
at Nick McClay twenty two does a lot of work
with Beef over at Beef up Front McLay, how we
feeling good? Man?
Speaker 11 (12:59):
Like Lou said, just get me to Sunday.
Speaker 15 (13:01):
Man, We've been talking about it for so long.
Speaker 8 (13:05):
I'm just ready to for the gain the start.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
I'd be remiss not to bring up it. Sounds like
Beef and McLay had.
Speaker 8 (13:11):
A hell of the night.
Speaker 10 (13:12):
We did.
Speaker 15 (13:13):
We had a good one last night.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
Beef was smart enough to tape beforehand on Thursday. I
think he's a warrior.
Speaker 10 (13:22):
Though.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
You got to give credit to Nick next man up mentality,
waking up in the morning, getting on the tough covery.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Got to appreciate it.
Speaker 11 (13:30):
Of course.
Speaker 8 (13:30):
I'm ready, man, I'm ready to get started.
Speaker 15 (13:32):
I'm ready.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
And that's youth right there, because I wouldn't I wouldn't
be ready, am. But Nick McLay, I think we've had
we have six people's top five given out so far.
Where we do you want to lead off with your
best bet? Do you want to finish with your best bet?
Everybody's got a different strategy on how they want to
do it.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
I'm going to finish with the best bet.
Speaker 8 (13:51):
I think that's the way to go.
Speaker 9 (13:55):
So I'll start out here.
Speaker 15 (13:57):
Travis Kelsey over sixty yards I got has fifty plus
in fourteen of his last fifteen playoff games, and we're
very solid on the outside. Eagles are allowing seventy six
per game two tight ends in the playoffs. In four
Super Bowls, He's averaging seven and a half receptions in
eighty seven and a half yards.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
It's really hard to.
Speaker 15 (14:17):
Go against this Mahomes and Kelsey connection in a big
spot like this.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Yeah, I was just talking about it before with Luke.
I think Kelsey is going to have a big day.
I think you're getting a lot of shots a tailor
up in the booth with Donna and I guess Jason
will be in there, Kylie will be in there, the
kids will be in there. The Kelsey booth I think
gets shown a whole heck of a lot in this game.
Speaker 8 (14:42):
Next up, what do we got.
Speaker 15 (14:43):
I'm going to another Chiefs one. Patty Mahomes twenty nine
and a half rushing yards. We see in these big
spots where if he doesn't have an option, he's not
going to force it. He's going to make plays. And
I like our defensive line to get in the backfield
and make him have to escape. He's ran the ball
eighteen times already in two playoff games. You ran for
forty four against US LAY at Super Bowl with a
(15:05):
twenty six yard run. We saw that run that pretty
much sealed that last drive, which was terrible. And in
twenty playoff games he's averaging just this number at thirty.
So I think, like, again, this defensive line is gonna
get after him. I like our headdressers on these tackles
to get after him and have to force him out
of the pocket.
Speaker 8 (15:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
I know, Brace and Roy both both in on some
mahomes rushing props.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
And I think it makes a ton of sense.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
I think I keep saying, and I feel like I've
said it a bunch and you'll hear it on some
of the ones I recorded in the second hour.
Speaker 8 (15:35):
But this is the game you saved those legs for.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
You know, sometimes maybe you don't design some of those
runs through your quarterback with the future in the mind.
There's no future until nine months from now when they
start playing again, or I guess a little lesson that's
seven months from now. But this is the game that
you save it up for. So wouldn't be surprised to
see Mahomes and Jalen kind of both balls to the
wall running quite often.
Speaker 8 (15:56):
Next up, what do you got.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
You going with?
Speaker 15 (15:59):
Jalen Hurts paying two twelve. I got it at I
like really everything Jalen Hurts. I'm ryding him for MVP
at plus three fifty, but I think he has a
great day in the air. He threw for two forty
six last week on twenty of twenty eight attempts.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
Very efficient Chiefs.
Speaker 15 (16:15):
Allowed Stroud to go for two forty five and Alan
to go for two thirty seven. And in these moments,
I think big time players make big time plays. So
I think Jalen everything, Jalen touchdown, Jalen MV page Jalen
two plus. You can ladder up whatever his yards are
rushing receiving. I like Jalen in this one.
Speaker 8 (16:35):
Yeah, I totally agree.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
I think you're gonna have to see a big performance
from Jalen for them to win this game. And after
last Super Bowl, how could you not feel pretty good
about Jalen showing up on the biggest stage.
Speaker 8 (16:47):
Number two, what do we got I'm kind of tailing
off Luke on this one.
Speaker 15 (16:51):
I got this number a little lower, but DeVante Smith,
I got it at forty nine and a half, but
I like laddering it up to whatever you want. Like
you said, the history against s Maagnell, his defense only
one game under one hundred yards and it was in
ninety nine, averaging one hundred and seven against him. And
I love the narrative that he's back home in his
home state, grew up just an hour away from the
(17:11):
super Dome, and I've been saying it or I saw this.
We're gonna become the fifth player in NFL history to
be a Heisman, Natty Chip winner and a super Bowl winner.
I love those narratives. And like Luke said, the piggyback
off of them. They haven't really unleashed him yet. AJ's healthy.
They're gonna have to keep eyes on him. God, it
has been unbelievable. They're gonna have to keep eyes over
(17:32):
the middle and say Ques in the backfield. So this
is kind of a spot for me to look at
DeVante Smith.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
Absolutely no, It makes makes a ton of sense and
number one, the best bet on the board. Nick McLay,
how we feeling, Mark, This one's for you, man, Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 15 (17:47):
Anytime you can't not bet it It's a must bet
every single game.
Speaker 8 (17:53):
You know, when we get in.
Speaker 15 (17:54):
The red zone, you've got to keep eyes on him.
He loves those step back drop draw plays. That watching
them there's plays set up is just beautiful. And obviously
you got you get with the toush push too, But
this one's for you, Mark, one of I got it
in Money's one oh five. I absolutely love hurts to
get in the end zone.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
It's the best bet in sports. How could you not
be on this in the Super Bowl? I I feel
sad to see this go, like the fact that I'm
not gonna be able to build this in next Sunday
to to my my plays that I'm tweeting out.
Speaker 8 (18:24):
It's sad to see it go.
Speaker 5 (18:25):
At least I got to think Lewis thunders and in
college basketball now we got quite the same.
Speaker 8 (18:33):
Totally. We don't love another sixteen point spread.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
I'm still I'm still, uh, you know, it's gonna take
a bit from me for otzl Berger to get back
on my melos back. Mark, all right, all right, all right,
but we got plenty of time to be getting getting
in and getting in the weeds on college basketball.
Speaker 8 (18:49):
The next the next month and a half, of this show.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
It's gonna be like a full on college basketball that
always kind of how it is in February and March
here on the tough cover.
Speaker 8 (18:58):
But Nick McLay, we got your top five here. What's
the score?
Speaker 5 (19:02):
Give me a little game script on how we're getting
the to a final score score.
Speaker 15 (19:06):
I'm going twenty eight to twenty four Birds. Jalen Hurts MVP.
I like our defense really to step up in this
and I saw I think it was you that tweeted yesterday.
If Eagles allow over twenty eight points, that's how the
Chiefs win the game. So I like that number under
twenty eight points for the Chiefs, and if we keep
them under that, I like our chances.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
I think what I think my tweet was the Chiefs
can't win the game unless they score twenty seven. But
I don't think it's a bad take. I think the
Chiefs are gonna score in this game. I think the
Eagles are gonna have to score twenty seven plus as well.
Speaker 8 (19:42):
So I'm right there with you. I think it's gonna
be a high scoring game.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
Your your score hits the over there most scores that
we've gotten of Actually, I feel like hit the under.
So the last couple we've gotten the kind of shaded
with me towards the over here. But Nick McLay, thanks
so much for coming on. Hope, h Tubbsy's got a
big weekend.
Speaker 15 (20:00):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, absolutely, Go birds, baby, go birds,
Go go birds.
Speaker 8 (20:04):
Everybody.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Check Nick McClay out over at Nick McClay twenty two
his top five bets.
Speaker 8 (20:09):
There were Travis Kelsey sixty plus receiving yards.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Mahomes over twenty nine and a half rush yards, Jailen
over to twelve and a half pass yards, Davante over.
Speaker 8 (20:17):
Forty nine and a half receiving yards.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
We'll we'll have to get for all the DeVante propts,
since there's a lot of them.
Speaker 8 (20:23):
We'll have to find a yard total to stick that at.
So everybody, everybody's at the same number.
Speaker 14 (20:28):
Hopefully goes way over so it's not anything middle in
the past.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
Yeah, of course, maybe we'll split the middle. I think
there's been fifty one and a half, there's been forty
nine and a half. Maybe we'll just say fifty and
a half to kind of split the difference there. But
unless we have Tansy on and ready to go, let's
go to Chambernard and go to Chambernard's top five favorite
bets here for the contest.
Speaker 16 (20:50):
Let's do it, and I'll start off with I'll go
five to one, So actually I'm gonna leave with a
little bit of splash at the end here, So the
top two a nice pay My last two will be
a nice payout here traditional for the start, We've talked
a lot about Davonte Smith already, but I got that
number of fifty one and a half, I'm pretty cool with, Like,
basically anything under fifty five and a half I basically
would play for DeVante for this.
Speaker 13 (21:09):
I do think he's gonna be active throughout this game.
There's gonna be a lot of feeding him over the middle.
And as we've kind of has been the message of
this show so far, I expect the plan from Kansas
City's perspective to make Jalen Hurts beat them, and that
to be exactly the case. So starting off with Devontae
Smith over fifty one and a half yards as my
top five prop bets there, next to go to the
defensive side of the ball, Nolan Smith over point twenty
(21:30):
five sacks. I love the matchup. He's gonna be primarily
matched up with Jawan Taylor here. I think Nolan Smith
has really basically had his coming out party in this
playoff run. It's been really impressive. The burst that he
has off the line, the kind of elusiveness that he has.
I think it's gonna be a huge problem. And for
Kansas City directly here, I expect their run game to
basically be mitigated and leaning entirely on Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
I think there's gonna be a lot of throwing.
Speaker 13 (21:51):
Attempts that leaves a lot of chances to sack the
quarterback there. So if anyone's gonna do it, I do
think it's gonna be Nolan Smith. I think that the
Eagles overall going to be pretty active in that backfield.
Also took a peek at over two and a half
sacks at plus one oh five odds on DraftKings there.
Speaker 14 (22:05):
I like that as well.
Speaker 13 (22:06):
I think the defense can be active, and I think
Nolan Smith is leaving the charge. Number three the Mark
Henry Junior special Jalen Hurts any time touchdown. I don't
know how you can't have this in your betslifts if
you're rooting for the Eagles or have any sort of
stake in this game. For here, he had three rushing touchdowns.
In the last Super Bowl, he was fifth. I believe
in the league this season four already in the postseason
four Jalen Hurts here. Both Saquan and Jalen in the
(22:28):
top eight in the league and both in the top
two for this playoff run, so I think both find
their right to the end zone for this one. For
Jalen at minus one ten odds in absolute bargain. There
now a couple of my bigger swings. First, Jalen Hurts
Super Bowl MVP getting plus three fifty odds for this
is insanity to me. I think it is a slam
dunk home run bet and sort of my perspective when
you dive into the numbers, it's honestly kind of surprising
(22:49):
how many position players or non quarterbacks have won the
MVP award when looking back on it. But the reality is,
I think there basically needs to be a stance for
somebody who take the award out of the quarterbacks hands.
While Saquon Barkley is certainly capable of that, I do
think the storyline is gonna be Jalen Hurts beating this
Chiefs team I think Jalen's gonna be the guy ultimately
lifting that MVP trophy assuming the Eagles do get the
(23:09):
job done. And I kind of tied this in here,
but Eagles money line as well, it's sort of a given.
And then my big splash here, Saquon Barkley and Jalen
Hurts to combine for four plus touchdowns. You can get
plus five hundred odds on that on Drafting Sportsbook. Those
are the two primary weapons. They're gonna be active around
the red zone that we absolutely will see both very
capable of getting two each. I even like like Jalen
(23:30):
had gotten there three times in the last Super Bowl.
I think splitting that up is a nice way. And
we know that there's gonna be the two weapons. There's
gonna be no holding back, that everything's gonna be on
the table. They're not worried about injuries, not worried about
the future. These guys are gonna be the dudes for
this Eagles team. I like in the plus five hundred
payout there.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
I brought this up to Brace, but Marty mush actually
had like a pretty good idea on barstool where he's
betting Saquon in every quarter to score. I think it's
plus four hundred in every quarter, something between plus four
hundred to plus five hundred maybe in every quarter. And
I think the logic was, you will actually, I think,
(24:06):
be even if he scores once or maybe slightly down
if he scores once in big plus, if he scores twice,
and then obviously he scores three times, you're you're feeling
really good. Yeah, But I don't hate that at all,
and I don't hate the combined for plus four four
plus touchdowns either, and not a guy who if I
know anything, We're getting a tight end prop out of
(24:27):
this top five. The king of the tight ends, Joe Tansy,
one of our favorite guests here on The Gambler and
on the Tough Cover obviously, and we're gonna be having
him on a ton as we get into Siico season
with college basketball. You can give him a follow at
Jay Tanzy ninety and check out everything he's got going
on over there. Tansy, I know for everybody else at
(24:49):
Super Bowl weekend, but to me and you, you know,
I just want to congratulate you on another Saint Louis under.
Speaker 8 (24:55):
I'll be honest, didn't bet last night, Okay, that's good,
that's great.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
But you've been riding with me on the Saint Louis Unders.
They've been an absolute cash cow. So everybody keep your
eyes out on that. But Joe Tanzy, we got bigger
things to discuss. We got the tough cover Super Bowl
contest here. Everybody giving out their top five props or
just bets actually doesn't have to be props. But where
do you want to lead off with your best bet
or do you want to build to your best bet?
Speaker 17 (25:22):
I gave this out on our show. We did myself
and Luke did Wednesday. Wednesday Night was Travis kelcey sixty
receiving yards Jalen Herds forty received forty rushing yards in
the same game. Parlay is the base I'm using for
all my bets. Look you, I know certain Eagles fans
are gonna be like, I don't want to bet any
Chiefs players. The reality of the situation is Travis Kelce's
(25:44):
getting the ball. History tells us that, My own two
eyes tell us that. And just because he had nineteen
yards against the Bills in the AFC Championship Game doesn't
mean that's a reversal. For trend fourteen is last fifteen
playoff games since seventy plus receiving yards. He's gone over
believe eighty receiving yards in his three previous Super Bowl appearances.
(26:06):
It's a slam duck, no brainer. I'm surprised his number
is sixty two and a half. I will absolutely be
betting that Jalen hurts as well rushing yards. I believe
the number was at thirty eight and a half last
time I checked. I'm bumping it up to forty with Kelsey.
Sixty receiving gets you about plus two hundred range in
the same game parlay. Look the Saquon prop. I think
(26:27):
everybody kind of has the same opinion. You're either betting
the over, you're not betting it.
Speaker 11 (26:32):
It's too high for me.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
It just is.
Speaker 17 (26:36):
I look, I wanted to have an incredible, incredible super Bowl,
but one twelve and a half for the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
It's a lot.
Speaker 17 (26:43):
It's a lot, and it look one big run. You know,
either swings your bet.
Speaker 13 (26:49):
Yeah, that's the bet. It's basically does he break one.
It's kind of the the what that means.
Speaker 17 (26:53):
But if you're gonna bet that, you bet his longest rush. Sure, sure,
like you forget the rushing yards. Longest rush, I believe
is in the twenties. You go after that, like, if
that's your logic.
Speaker 8 (27:04):
I think it's twenty four and a half.
Speaker 17 (27:05):
Yeah, yeah, if that If that's your logic, where if
you're scared off he's going to break one or not
or you think he is, that's that's your bet, not
the rushing yards because you just need a twenty five
yard run. I believe he's had one in every game
in the playoffs. Yeah, so I think I think you
have to when you're weighing the your your thoughts on
which bet to make with Saquon Barkley, It's okay, one
(27:29):
twelve and a half is a lot, but is there
an other? Is there another way we can do it?
Is it first quarter? Because that number is massive, it's
like twenty seven and a half? You know, is it
longest rush? Is it rushing attempts?
Speaker 11 (27:42):
You know which way?
Speaker 10 (27:42):
Do you?
Speaker 11 (27:43):
There's so many ways you can bet it other.
Speaker 17 (27:44):
Than just rushing yards with Saquon Barkley, And I think
that's if you're if you're a little timid and scared
by the number, which understandably so of rush yards. Look
at the longest rush look into to rush attempts, because
there's ways to win on Saquon, and if you don't
bet the rushing yards, you want to hear something crazy.
Speaker 8 (28:04):
We have eight people who have given out their props.
We have one.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
I guess schum Bernard here has hurt some Saquon to
combine for four plus touchdowns at plus five hundred. Outside
of that we have been that's it one.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yeah, yeah, for.
Speaker 8 (28:19):
Four t a plus five hundred. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
I don't think that's that bad at all. Actually, I
think that's probably right around where I book that number.
I mean, you look at how many times scoring in
these games, especially in the playoffs.
Speaker 13 (28:32):
Twenty seven combined in the regular season, nine already in
the playoffs.
Speaker 14 (28:34):
I can rap with that.
Speaker 8 (28:36):
Yeah, they've been they they scored four touchdowns, are they?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (28:41):
I think five hundred is worth the swing. Oh are
the Eagles scoring?
Speaker 11 (28:45):
For the Eagle scoring four times.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
I'm of the mindset that this is we can get
into that one. We'll finish off with your score. But
I think if I wasn't an Eagles are a Chiefs fan,
I'd be betting the over.
Speaker 8 (28:58):
Like my mortgage depended on it. I worried I don't
have your stake, but I think the over is a
lock for me.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Maybe that's too much of a prisoner at the moment
with the NFC and the AFC Championship, Maybe too much
of thinking about the past Super Bowl. Maybe too much
of me saying, look how much they scored when it
was thirty eight thirty five and the Eagles had seventeen
carries for forty five yards. But I think it's going
to be in both teams in the thirties. I bet
that I didn't put on. I haven't mentioned it on
(29:25):
this whole this whole show yet, and I didn't put
it in my top five. I think both teams or
either team to score thirty plus is plus money at
plus one oh five. I do like that, like that number.
I didn't bet it, but I do like it.
Speaker 17 (29:39):
The only reason I would push back on the over
is because of the Eagles defense, right, because you can't
to me, at least, there's only so much you can
pull from two years ago because of.
Speaker 11 (29:50):
The Eagles defense. Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (29:52):
So if if we're really looking at that, what's there for.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Forty nine and a half now, I think it's I
think you can still get forty eight and a half
if I'm not mistaken. But the thing, and I've talked
about this, and I think throughout the year I've been
a little higher than consensus on the Eagles offense and
maybe not as sold that the Eagles are going to
shut down every team that they face as others. On
the defense, I think I probably overreact to some things,
(30:17):
like the two minute drive defense has really been a struggle.
You look at the last two drives for LA in
that game, they got what one hundred and fifty yards
and like one hundred and eighty seconds and in three
minutes there the first half drive from the Commanders where
they're able to go forty fifty yards and go get
a field goal and I forget the amount of time,
but thirty forty seconds something like that to close that half.
(30:40):
It just concerns me that I think that this Chiefs
offense is kind of perfectly configured to go against our
defense in terms of taking the four to six yard
outs and ins and drags and kind of death by
a million paper cuts, and they're probably more confident they
won't make a mistake. But that's kind of my concern
actually coming into this game hoping the defense kind of.
Speaker 8 (31:03):
Kind of proves me wrong.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
And by the way, I think they're the best defense
in football this year. I think it's just the year
where the best defense in football isn't like a dominant unit,
it's just the best unit. And they're really good. And
you know, I think that they're going to make a
couple plays that decide the game. And I think, you know,
even if you give up thirty one, you know, we
saw it forty one thirty three. The Eagles gave up
(31:24):
thirty three points in the Super Bowl. But what are
we talking about. We're talking about Brandon Graham at the
end of the game making that one play. Maybe we
get something similar to kind kind of how I'm thinking.
But so so far, what was the odds you got on?
Speaker 8 (31:36):
I think.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
I think I pooped out there back okay, but Beef
gave out Saquon over twenty four and a half longest rush.
Speaker 8 (31:47):
That's the only other sequon prop we have on the board.
So I think you're right.
Speaker 5 (31:51):
I do think people are scared off by Saquon. So
so far, you have the Travis Kelce Jalen same game parlay.
What's that at.
Speaker 17 (32:00):
I'm pull up to the odds now it is at
plus two fourteen at Draftkicks.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Plus two fourteen. That's a good number. I think that's
the only one you've given so far. Unless you did
you pick a Saquon one for.
Speaker 8 (32:10):
The top five.
Speaker 17 (32:11):
Well, I'm taking the two singles, okay, e Kelsey and
Hurts receiving and rushing.
Speaker 11 (32:16):
Not gonna touch Saquon.
Speaker 17 (32:17):
But my advice on the Saquon is, if you're going
to if you're gonna bet Saquon, explore your options before
you just go, you know, dive right in on everything else.
Speaker 11 (32:27):
I it to me. To me, this game is down to.
Speaker 17 (32:32):
About five players. It's Kelsey and Worthy on the Chiefs.
I don't know how you can can sniff their running
backs at this point, right because Hunt is getting the
carries over Pacheco. But pe Ryan's their third down back,
and I actually I wouldn't bet it, but he might
(32:54):
be involved in the third down passing game. I think
that's a sneaky one to look at. But then I've
talked about this all week. As you look at you've Kelsey,
you know he's gonna get across the middle. You know
Mahomes is going to him. Worthy, he's been the go
to guy all season though he's the number one wide receiver.
Who else beneath those two guys, whether it's Hopkins, Juju,
(33:15):
Noah Gray, Hollywood Brown, who out of that group? In
terms of a betting perspective, can you trust to bet on.
Speaker 12 (33:25):
You?
Speaker 14 (33:26):
And no Gray? Sneaky?
Speaker 10 (33:27):
I wrote about no g But if Noah Gray.
Speaker 8 (33:33):
You said his name, you mentioned that you got him.
Speaker 17 (33:35):
But if if Noah Gray is like this, he compete
with Kelsey and that is just is just We're gonna
ram Kelsey down your throats like that's That's the only
concern I have with Gray. I think out of that
entire mishmash of of depth pieces, he's probably the guy
you target. But I wouldn't touch a damn thing with
anybody outside of Kelsey and Worthy.
Speaker 11 (33:54):
And it's really hard.
Speaker 17 (33:57):
I think Hunt gets the majority of the carries, but
can he get to forty?
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
I'm kind of the mindset that Kansas City might abandon
the run. I think with my theory that I think
their short passing game is going to be pretty efficient,
and I think they feel comfortable kind of using that
as the running game, or maybe even kind of using screens.
Speaker 8 (34:21):
I mean how many times in big games in Philly.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Obviously, Andy reads a different guy now than he was
when we grew up with him, but there was a
lot of times where Andy kind of tried to use
the screen game as the running game. It's just running
the ball, So I could see that here.
Speaker 17 (34:36):
Again, I think the one to kind of play into
that narrative there, Patrick Mahomes have an interception I like, it.
Speaker 11 (34:44):
Is absolutely is absolutely on the list.
Speaker 17 (34:47):
And it's not because of the only reason I say that,
it's because of the trend. Look at his postseason history.
Patrick Mahomes has eight postseason interceptions. Five of them are
in the Super Bowl. Wow, two of his three two
of his three multi interception games in the postseason are
in the Super Bowl. That's a pretty big trend given
(35:11):
the amount of playoff games that Patrick Mahomes has played
in just twenty to have such a small sample size
of interceptions, and for three of the five games that
he's thrown interceptions, three of them to be the Super Bowl.
That stands out because there aren't many trends you can
(35:33):
do with players in Super Bowls. It's Mahomes and Kelsey. Yeah,
and that one.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
Sticks out immediately.
Speaker 17 (35:39):
That the Kelsey one as well the seventy plus receiving
yards and fourteen to fifteen eighty plus and in the
three Super Bowl appearances, So Mahomes to have an interception
is definitely on my list as well.
Speaker 8 (35:49):
Like it, like, what was that? What was that number at?
Speaker 11 (35:51):
I think it's right around even money?
Speaker 8 (35:53):
Okay, nice?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Nice?
Speaker 8 (35:54):
And then your last one here your fifth one where
you're going.
Speaker 14 (35:58):
And plus one thirteen for Mahomes interceptions.
Speaker 17 (36:01):
So not that it has it gone up, yeah, it was.
It was even money a few days ago. I'll throw
a one that you need a specific script for this,
but to go kind of a long shot and make
sure to get the red number.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
C J.
Speaker 11 (36:19):
Gardner Johnson have an interception of plus five hundred.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
I like that.
Speaker 17 (36:24):
So it kind of goes into the Mahomes prop. Right,
But again we're talking about talking about game script and
kind of historical trends with the Super Bowl, right, I'm
actually gonna sprinkle on.
Speaker 11 (36:36):
Him to win MVP.
Speaker 17 (36:37):
Wow, very very very small sprinkle. But think think about
it the way everything is going to go. If we
think Mahome is going to throw the ball a lot, right, well,
who's the ballhawk in the Eagle secondary C J.
Speaker 11 (36:50):
Gardner Johnson. If you have.
Speaker 17 (36:54):
You have that ball hawk, you need to make one
or two massive plays in the game, whether it be
fourth or second half, in terms of either a big
game changing interception or a defensive touchdown. Now, the reason
why I'd say it's only worth about like a dollar
or two is going back to ray Lewis. So after
(37:15):
ray Lewis won MVP in two thousand and one, it's
been four defensive MVPs in the Super Bowl. The margin
of victory in all four of those games was fourteen plus.
Again a historical trend that tells you, unless you think
this game is a blowout, don't put a ton of
money on defensive player to win, which I think is
(37:35):
what we all know as logic in the first.
Speaker 11 (37:37):
Place because it's a quarterback award.
Speaker 17 (37:39):
But history also tells us unless this game is a
two score game at minimum, defensive player doesn't have a
chance at winning. So I would take a very small
sprinkle at that. But I think Garter Johnson to have
an interception is on the list. You have the most
interceptions on either roster, and if the Mahomes trend of
interceptions in the Super Bowl runs its course, then you
(38:03):
have to pick, and egals got to have a pick,
and Garter Johnson's the guy who's got the most What
do you.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Think of as you mentioned Super Bowl MVP, and I
think everybody's debating Jalen or sa Quon, And I think
that's the right conversation, to be honest, if you're looking
at it from just who's the most likely. But I'm
looking at not as create, not as big of a
long shot as Chauncey. But I've been saying all two
weeks long. I know all the attention is on Smith props,
Goddard props. I really think this is the AJ Brown
(38:31):
game on Sunday. What do you think of AJ Brown
at thirty five to one doing Super Bowl MVP. That
has actually been five receivers in the last twenty years
to have won Super BWL MVP.
Speaker 8 (38:41):
It was in a higher number than I would have guessed.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
I like it.
Speaker 11 (38:44):
I just worry that they're gonna stick McDuffie on him
the entire game.
Speaker 8 (38:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
I think they kind of did that two years ago though,
and maybe McDuffie. I think McDuffie was pretty good even
as a rookie. To be honest, but maybe he's at
a completely different level now. But I I do think
we see Aja kind of get the best of it
and their safeties are just not very good. And I
don't care who you are, I think you need a
little safety help with AJ over top.
Speaker 17 (39:10):
I would actually kind of to compound that a little bit,
if you go to DraftKings, you can bet on the
position of MVP wide receiver plus seven fifty.
Speaker 8 (39:21):
Interesting.
Speaker 11 (39:22):
Now, that obviously doesn't include Travis Kelce.
Speaker 8 (39:24):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 17 (39:27):
I think the prevailing logic here is right with Kelsey
at plus fifteen hundred, that if the Chiefs win and
Kelsey has a big day, it's correlated to Mahomes and
they're gonna give it to Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 17 (39:37):
Yeah, So if you take that out you're running with
you have AJ Brown, Devonte Smith, and xavier're Worthy all
in your back pocket. If you go to plus seven fifty. Now,
I think the data also shows you have to have
at least one hundred yards and around nine to ten
catches to win Super Bowl MVP. I think Edelman had
around that, Dean Branch had around that cup as well,
(39:58):
So you have you have to There are historical benchmarks
for receivers and defenders, especially if you go back the
last twenty years in the Super Bowl, I think to
go along with that bet just because it gives you,
gives you a safety net of three guys.
Speaker 11 (40:13):
Really, yeah, it's.
Speaker 8 (40:17):
Not a bad suggestion at all.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
I think with aj he might not have to get
to that nine ten, He might be able to go
like seven for one fifty where they saw a higher
a higher yard per catch. Then maybe the middlemen and
Dion and kind of cup types. But yeah, it's obviously
it's obviously a shot in the dark. But last but
not least, Tanzy, what what is your what's your final
(40:39):
score here?
Speaker 8 (40:39):
And give me a little game script on how we
get there.
Speaker 17 (40:42):
It's gonna be close there, There's no way around it.
It's going to be a close game. Look two years
ago scars you, right because he Goles got out to
that big lead and Patrick Mahomes in the fourth quarter.
Is Patrick Mahomes in the fourth quarter like he can't
can't deny that. The big difference, though, is the de
fence is much better and Saquon Barkley exists and he's
(41:04):
an equal, And I think that's what gives you the
quiet confidence he's twenty seven to twenty four is kind
of a fair score. I'm obviously gonna pick the Birds.
I'm not going to pick the Chiefs, but it's going
to be a tight butthole game.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
I agree.
Speaker 17 (41:17):
There's I mean between that and holding in the fifty
wings that I'm gonna eat stress eating on Sunday. My
butthole is gonna have a lot a lot of stress
on it.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
Here's my question, though, Joe Tancy, did you eat wings
two years ago?
Speaker 17 (41:34):
You know what happened two years now, not two years ago.
But when they won the Super Bowl, I got stuck
on a pacough.
Speaker 8 (41:40):
Oh, I tried to go.
Speaker 17 (41:43):
I so we watched, we watched the I couldn't tell
you what I had at all for the two years ago.
But when they won the Super Bowl, watched at my
buddy's house and Cinnamonsen and my wife and I was
our first year dating, and the two of us were like, yeah,
let's try and go into field. So which we drove
down to Candonen because it was only like a fifteen
(42:03):
minute it was only a fifteen minute drive to like Camden.
It's like, okay, the top on the packo, we'll see
what happens, and we got.
Speaker 11 (42:12):
Stuck on the paco. We got on the pack.
Speaker 17 (42:14):
Oh and then it got literally not even half a
mile down the track and the third wheel got turned off.
Speaker 14 (42:21):
Geez.
Speaker 17 (42:23):
So I hope to create a much better super Bowl
memory than and being stuck on a train for an
hour and a half.
Speaker 5 (42:32):
My plea to people is, if there's something you did
two years ago, do the opposite this year. I think
we did wings two years ago. We're getting Chinese food
on Sunday. That's what we did last for the NFC Championship.
We got Chinese food that day. We're kind of trying
to bring the vibes.
Speaker 8 (42:50):
To the super Bowl. My plea to people, do the
opposite of whatever you did two years ago. Reverse the
devil magic, reverse the juju. Joe Tanzy.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
Though you still went over with that twenty seven twenty
four on the on the total, you surprised me. I
thought you were gonna go I thought you were gonna
go low scoring a little bit.
Speaker 11 (43:07):
It's gonna be tight. There's enough talent. I'm not betting
the side of the over either way, but man, it's
it's gonna be tight.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
I could not agree more with you. Joe Tansy, thank
you so much.
Speaker 8 (43:18):
Everybody.
Speaker 5 (43:18):
Check out Jay Tanzy ninety Go Birds and by the way,
they were going to be airing after my show here
at one o'clock for the rest of the day, airing
all of the content from all week long, Roy Burton,
Joe Tansy, Luke Arcaney, my guy right here, Sean Bernard,
Sam Austri, whoever you want to see from the Gambler,
right I think I said Beef, but Ryan, Beef, Coyle,
(43:40):
plenty of those guys all week have been making all
for two weeks, having making great content. We're gonna be
airing some of that for the rest of the day
and for tomorrow, I believe as well. So everybody stay
locked to Fox Sports The Gambler for the whole day
and go check out the the YouTube. A lot of
action over there on that YouTube, but on this socials
in general. Shout out to Beef, Shout out to Maclay,
(44:02):
shout out to all the shout out to Benar, shout
out to all the Social team guys. But I should
probably give out my top five here since we've since
we have everybody else's We've got eight total, including mine,
and I'm making a change. I'm making a change, and
I know you told me you respect my Isaiah Pachecko
(44:22):
hate I do, and for the people out there, I
will give out all my bets in general, even outside
this top five. But Pachecko under eight and a half
longest rush was on this list, and I thought about
Pacheco under I think it's twenty two and a half
yards in general being on the list.
Speaker 8 (44:39):
But everybody else has these juicy.
Speaker 5 (44:41):
Numbers, and I'm getting worried that i might go four
and one and not be able to win because everybody's
got these juicy props. So I'm throwing a h This
is probably ill advised, but I've talked about it all show.
Speaker 8 (44:52):
I talk about it.
Speaker 5 (44:53):
On some of the interviews you'll hear in the second hour.
I think this is your weekend number eleven. I think
AJ Brown, this is the game that when AJ Brown
is inducted into the Hall of Fame, that we're going
back and talking about why is he going in as
an Eagle. Oh, it's because in the biggest game of
his life, he came out and had seven plus catches
(45:15):
in one hundred and twenty plus yards and one or
two touchdowns. Gimme AJ Brown MVP thirty five to one
on the top five. If I win that, I'm winning
the whole thing. I decided, screw it, I'm doing it.
And also give me AJ Brown touchdown at plus one eighty.
Speaker 8 (45:29):
You look at the numbers. Plus one eighty to me
is an.
Speaker 5 (45:33):
Absolutely disrespectful number for AJ Brown, a player as good
as him. He's scored in four of his last six games.
He's scored in five of his last eight, eight of
his last fifteen, four of his eight playoff games, or
four of his last eight playoff games, I should say,
and in his only Super Bowl appearance he had six
for ninety six in a touchdown. I think everybody is saying,
(45:54):
and I agree with it. How could you not feel
good about Jalen Hurts going into this game having seen
how he played last time? How could you not feel
good about AJ Broown going into this game seeing and
remembering how he played last time. I think it's AJ
Brown's weekend. I think it's AJ Brown's Sunday. I think
I think it's gonna be in the AJ Brown story.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
I love it.
Speaker 13 (46:16):
I love it, and I do feel like like the
opportunity is clearly there that little deep fade down the sideline,
that just go route that. I mean, Jalen throws that
ball as well as any quarterback in the league and
clearly has the trust in AJ to go up and
get it when he gets those opportunities. So pretty much
anytime we see those single coverage, I don't care if
it's Trent McDuffie on him, I don't care who the
what the coverage pattern is. If you can get AJ
Brown a chance and one on one coverage, they're gonna
(46:38):
take that. And I do expect that play specifically to
come in to fold a couple times during this matchup.
Speaker 14 (46:42):
So, like where your head's.
Speaker 13 (46:43):
At, I think it's gonna take a pretty heroic day
from AJ Brown to be in that conversation. My sort
of stance is I'm personally capitalizing on I think the
plus three fifty getting that for Jalen hurts his incredible
value there. But certainly, who knows, stranger things have happened.
AJ Brown is that caliber of talent. It would be
an awesome story if that does happen. So don't hate
that angle whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
By the way, Trent.
Speaker 5 (47:02):
McDuffie's great, He's fantastic, really good corner. He's five ten
and a half. He's gonna be looking out a J.
Brown looks standing next to Lebron. Yeah, when he's the
next day a J.
Speaker 8 (47:11):
Brown.
Speaker 5 (47:11):
That's that's how it is. That's just five ten and
a half. You can be as good as you want.
Going to be a tough day at the office when
you're going against the most physical receiver in the league
in AJ Brown. But can you name the five Super
Bowl MVPs of the last twenty years?
Speaker 8 (47:26):
Little trivia, the wide receivers.
Speaker 13 (47:28):
Yeah, I know, Julian Edelman, Cooper Cup, uh, Dion Branch,
David Tyree didn't still after that catch? Right now, it's
just that play. I think I'm only getting three there?
Who the other two?
Speaker 5 (47:42):
So you've got you got Cup, you got Dion and
you and you got Edelman. But there's also Santonio Holmes
got from Pittsburgh.
Speaker 8 (47:52):
Incredible and the one.
Speaker 5 (47:53):
That this one Sean brace is the only one Sean
brace for God as well, Hines Ward one one in
Pittsburgh as well.
Speaker 8 (47:59):
I forgot the Hinds.
Speaker 5 (48:00):
Word one completely, So when I was thinking back, I
was like, oh three. I kind of also forgot that
Antonio had won until I looked it up, so I
would have got the.
Speaker 8 (48:10):
Same three that you got there if I was guessing.
Speaker 5 (48:12):
But my number three bet here on the board is
Eagles team total over twenty three and a half. And
this is the number I keep telling myself every time
I get nervous, every time I see a Mahomes number
that makes me scared, every time I see a segment
on TV where I don't like someone's over confidence in
the Eagles or whatever the case may be. Fourteen and
(48:35):
oh when Jayen Late and aj starting finish fourteen and
oh when Jay and Lane and aj start and finish fourteen,
and oh when Jaalen Lane and j starting finish. I
just keep kind of telling myself that. And if I
keep telling myself that, I'll believe it's impossible that we
can lose if Jalen, Lane and aj A'll start and
finish the Super Bowl. And by the way, in those games,
twenty nine and a half points per game in those
fourteen games, eleven of those fourteen they have went over
(48:57):
the twenty three and a half number. I would be
shocked if this game goes under. I would be absolutely floored.
If this game is not fifty plus points. But instead
of betting the over, instead of betting either team to
score thirty plus at plus money, just give me the
Eagles team total over twenty three and a half. I
think that actually might be at twenty four and a
half now, to be honest, but I grabbed it last week.
(49:21):
I think you're gonna have to score twenty four plus
games twenty four plus points to win this game.
Speaker 13 (49:24):
Sean, Yeah, I definitely agree with that. I like the standpoint.
I think that's a great angle with the team total.
There there's no world which the Eagles are going to
be able to contain Patrick Mahomes to below that level.
So if that is the case, you got to put
forth the points. I think this team is ready. I
do think that there's enough weapons here that they are
going to be dangerous, and I do give a lot
of respect to this Chiefs defense, to be perfectly honest.
I think it's been a little bit under talked about
how good they've been on the year long standpoint, but
(49:46):
I don't think they could fully stop this Eagles unit.
So it will be interesting to see how that prioritize
trying to stack the box, stop Saquan or what angle
they go about it very different, like stylistically defenses like
Vic Fangio very clearly kind of a key.
Speaker 14 (49:58):
Defenders in front of you.
Speaker 13 (50:00):
That death by million paper cuts, I think is a
great way to put it how you did earlier. That
that's my biggest concern there not really the case with
this Chiefs defense that I do think that there could
be big plays available. I don't see any world in
which the Chiefs can get those like rapid fire strikes
on this On this Eagles defense, it's going to be like,
you know, moving down the field slowly, brick by brick,
piece by piece, kind of chipping your way there. For
(50:20):
the Eagles, I do think those quick, straight, quick strike
opportunities are available, So do like your angle.
Speaker 14 (50:25):
I think the team total is great play.
Speaker 5 (50:27):
Yeah, And I I hate to say this, but I
think that they kind of have the perfect offense to
go against our defense. So even though I do think
it'll be methodical, I think it's going to be fruitful.
Like I think they're going to put up a lot
of points. But that kind of just we we've been
We've been talking about this all week.
Speaker 14 (50:47):
But one more, one more question for you.
Speaker 13 (50:48):
The Yeah, uh, I don't get the Xavier Worthy fear
to be perfectly honest, like him being talked about as
like a number one wide receiver and this kind of thing.
Speaker 14 (50:56):
Yeah, talented.
Speaker 13 (50:57):
I like from a route running perspective, He's not doing
any damage on these corners.
Speaker 14 (51:01):
He's kind of a little bit more of a gadget guy.
Speaker 13 (51:02):
I feel, is there any fear for you in Xavier
Worthy having like a big playability or being capable of
changing this game.
Speaker 5 (51:09):
I actually think people are overstating the big playability a
little bit if you if you look at just he's
kind of broken out here this past four or five, six,
seven math on the spot here, sorry folks, But last
nine weeks he's kind of really broken out at four
plus catches in every game of the last nine weeks,
He's had forty one plus yards in every game, sixty
(51:32):
plus yards and half of those.
Speaker 8 (51:34):
So I do think he's broken out. I think this is.
Speaker 5 (51:36):
Like a good version of what he's going to be
going forward. Probably if you kind of extrapolate those last
nine games over a full season, I think you could.
I will do that, Actually, I'm curious to see what
that looks like. But he only has four touchdowns in
that and if you look at his longest kind of
play in each of those thirty one, nineteen, nineteen, fourteen, twelve, nineteen,
twenty one, twenty one, twenty six, Like, do I think
(51:56):
he has a twenty.
Speaker 8 (51:57):
To thirty yard play? Probably probably gets one one in there.
Speaker 5 (52:00):
Do I think he gets the sixty to seventy yard
touchdown that I think people are afraid of? And you know,
Tanzy telling me to bet wide receiver at plus seven
to fifty instead of AJ at thirty five to one,
I think bad advice because I think AJ is the only.
Speaker 8 (52:12):
Receiver capable of winning it.
Speaker 5 (52:14):
And like you said, I don't think Worthy's having ten
catches for one hundred and fifty yards, And like I
don't think he's the type of guy to get ten
plus catches. I also don't think he's the type of
guy at this point that's going to break.
Speaker 8 (52:23):
Two sixty plus yard plays.
Speaker 5 (52:25):
Like I think AJ is the only player in this
game that can do that from the wide receiver angle.
So that's why I went with the AJ thirty five
to one shot at Super Bowl mvpick. Everybody knows what
my favorite BET's going to be, so I'm actually gonna
get it out of the way second to last. But
it's Jalen touchdown. Do I need to quote my stats
from the last couple of years if you listen to
this show, I don't.
Speaker 8 (52:43):
It's twelve and six this year at plus thirty eight units.
That's all you need to know. But my favorite bet
in the Super.
Speaker 5 (52:48):
Bowl that is not the Jalen Hurts touchdown bet. It's
Nolan Smith over point twenty five sacks has gotten a
sack in five to the last six, six sacks in
that stretch, eight sacks in ten games.
Speaker 8 (53:00):
You gotta take a break.
Speaker 5 (53:00):
On the other side, you're gonna get another three interviews
with people giving their top five bets. To close down
the show, we also got to get out our favorite
basketball bets of the day.
Speaker 8 (53:11):
So on the other side, shifting gears back after.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
The spreads total and all the prop bets in the tweens,
it's the Gambler. If you can wager on it, we're
talking about it. It's the Gambler. The Gambler, Philly's home
for all things sports gambling.
Speaker 5 (53:27):
Welcome back to the Tough Cover radio show right here
on Fox Sports.
Speaker 8 (53:31):
The Gambler.
Speaker 5 (53:32):
We just gave out I think we had three guests
on and Sean and I's top five picks. We've got
three more coming here in the second hour. We've got
Roy Burton, Ryan Beef, Cooyle, the Godfather, Sean Brace here
at the Gambler.
Speaker 8 (53:45):
We've got all.
Speaker 5 (53:46):
Three of them given their top fives, coming up here
throughout the hour. But real quick, I do have to
give out my basketball plays of the day loaded card.
I have eight plays on the board, three NBA five
college here, my favorite.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
My two favorite play is actually on the NBA side
of things.
Speaker 5 (54:05):
But at one o'clock, I like Virginia Tech plus eight
and a half at Notre Dame for two units. Go
watch these Notre Dame games against Miami in Florida State.
Speaker 8 (54:13):
Two bad teams.
Speaker 5 (54:14):
It's a bad team that shouldn't be favored by eight
and a half in any ACC game. Bring Mike Bray
back Notre Dame, Virginia Tech plus eight and a half.
I think they could have went out right two o'clock
one of my favorite bets of the day Creighton minus
two and a half versus Marquette for two, and it
seems like these are just two teams going in different directions.
Give me all the Creighton stock I'm kind of selling
my Marquette stock, to be honest, so I bet that
(54:35):
I'm not making I like Kansas minus four against Kansas State.
Speaker 8 (54:39):
Beef loves Kansas State.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
Loves k State told me don't enter the OCTAGONA doom
over there in Manhattan, Kansas, I'm staying away. I would
go Kansas Beef goes k State, but out of respect
to Beef, I won't bet the game. I had three
o'clock my favorite bet of the day, and I'll throw
it to you in your opinion on this, schan Bernard.
Speaker 8 (54:57):
But I'm I'm a Houston Rockets fan at this point.
Speaker 5 (55:01):
The Rockets being plus four at the MAVs is absolutely disrespectful.
Speaker 8 (55:04):
I don't care if Anthony Davis is playing or not.
Speaker 5 (55:07):
I like Houston to win that game out right, And
I think that the optimism about Dallas is insane.
Speaker 13 (55:13):
I agree with that, and I mean, I think they're
gonna be a fine basketball team. I agree in the
wider sense the Rockets are better, for sure, that is
the case there. I'm also very interested to see what
kind of the atmosphere is today. Is there's a lot
of talk about, you know, the protesting and fans have
said and death threats Tonico Harris and all that kind
of thing. I already just saw on the timeline a
couple of people with signs and protesting out front. So
I don't think this is gonna be I guess the
(55:33):
most Mavericks forward crowd is the point that I'm getting
at here.
Speaker 14 (55:36):
I like your angle with the Rockets here.
Speaker 13 (55:38):
I do think Anthony Davis brings something and like there's
gonna be a bit of a jolt there, But I
honestly feel bad from him from the stance of there's
no way that he's ever gonna be viewed like favorably
by that fan base, from the stance of what led
up to him being sent there. So I like the
Rockets play. That's probably one that I'll stay away from him.
I'm kind of gonna just tune into that game out
of curiosity and see how this this Mavericks team looks.
But I think it wouldn't surprise me if the crowd
(55:59):
inside is rooting for the Rockets as much as anybody.
Speaker 5 (56:02):
Rockets have lost five in a row, so they have
kind of fallen a little bit here, But of the
two of those are back to backs, they had two
back to backs in there, and three of those are
at Memphis, at the Knicks, and at the Timberwolves Memphis.
In Memphis they lost by one covered the spread. In
New York they lost by six covered the spread. And
at Minnesota they were in that game until there was
(56:23):
five minutes left and it went insane and went nuclear
and they couldn't get anything going. So I didn't watch
that game and come away thinking Houston's falling apart. I
still think Houston is a far better team than Dallas
at this point. Houston twelve and five against the spread
as underdogs. I just think Vegas and maybe they're right
now officially over this last couple, this last stretch, but
(56:46):
Vegas has totally disrespected the Rockets kind of all year
long in games against anybody in the playoff picture in
the Western Conference. And if you've bet Houston in those situations,
you've been doing pretty well. So I'm to keep kind
of riding with them there. Six o'clock stin see team
total under seventy and a half. I think they've only
(57:06):
passed that in four of their last sixteen games, So
in twelve games they've been sitting in the sixties or
under seven o'clock.
Speaker 8 (57:13):
Love the Spurs tonight plus three.
Speaker 5 (57:15):
It's another team. I've bet a ton that number is
actually plus three and a half. But I like the
Spurs at the Magic a team that is falling apart
over there in Orlando. Spurs are running back to back here,
so I get the line. But they did end up
losing the game. Fox hit a big shot and then
Charlotte ended up coming back and hitting another.
Speaker 8 (57:34):
But I like the.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Spurs to bounce back plus three. There another NBA one.
I'll give you the kind of the floor to react
to both. But thunder minus two at Memphis. I think
that Jalen Williams being out, I don't care. Give me
Aaron Begans stropped forty one and fourteen the other day,
so I think they're just fine and just deep enough
to handle it.
Speaker 14 (57:52):
Yeah, I was surprised.
Speaker 13 (57:53):
I would have guessed the line is way higher than
even with Jalen Williams being considered.
Speaker 14 (57:56):
Chet Holmgren has returned to the floor.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Now.
Speaker 13 (57:58):
I know he's suited up, curious if he's available, but
this is back to back for them, so if he's
gonna be, you know, right back in the mix here.
Speaker 14 (58:04):
But Chat looked really good. Being back in action yesterday.
Speaker 13 (58:06):
Really brings something defensively to that team, and they're already
excellent defensively. So yeah, I'm with you on the Thunder there.
This Grizzlies team, man, I'm starting to sell a little
stock in. I'm skeptical that this is a Yeah. I
think I'm very close to getting fully on board to
that side of things there. I just don't know if
I really see it. The record's great, they're winning a
ton of games, They've looked good for stretches. But this
Oklahoma City Thunder team I take far more seriously. I
(58:28):
think we're gonna We're gonna see that tonight. So like
the play, I might join you in that one.
Speaker 5 (58:32):
I really hope we get a Lakers Grizzlies first round
series or a or a I'm trying to think who
else would pick them off A Timberwolves Grizzlies.
Speaker 8 (58:40):
I think the Timberwolves would get them Nuggets.
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Maybe.
Speaker 5 (58:44):
I don't think the Nuggets gonna fall that far fair.
They're they're sitting there at the three seed. I think,
if anything, the Nuggets might take that two seed from Memphis.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
That's fair.
Speaker 5 (58:53):
The Clippers are interesting, Like the Clippers in a playoff
series could go either way. It's just what Cali are
you getting? So that'll be an interesting kind of thing
to watch here going forward. But we got plenty of
time to talk NBA my last two plays of the
night before because we got to get over to the interviews.
At ten thirty, I like the over one thirty seven
and a half in Northwestern against Washington. Northwestern now twelve
(59:14):
straight games where the over is hit. So Northwestern just
been an over machine. And then ten thirty, I like
Texas Tech plus three and a half at Arizona. I
do not believe in Arizona. They're hot right now. I
don't believe in Tommy Lloyd, think he sticks. I think
Arizona's overrated. I'm out Texas Tech's a team. I'm in
all Grant McCaslin good coach, like I think Texas Tech
could make some noise a serious deep run in the
(59:36):
tourney there in a month and a half or so.
But that's gonna do it for the show. That's gonna
do it for the tough cover. Actually it's gonna do
it for this part of the show, but live part
on the the live part of the show on the
other side, We've got our three interviews coming up with
Roy Burton at the BS Line, Ryan Coyle at Ryan
Cold thirty five, and Sean Brace at sewn Underscore Brace
(59:57):
all on Twitter, and you get to hear their top
five fifteen more plays coming at you for the Super
Bowl eight So eight people, five plays. What's the math
on that quick math? Forty plays?
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
You got?
Speaker 8 (01:00:08):
Yeah, right off off this show.
Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
We've also sprinkled a couple more in there in conversation
as well, So I hope we've gotten you ready for
the biggest game of our lives. And one thing I'll
leave you guys out on, I think this is the
best team Patrick Mahomes has ever played in his career.
I think we're a more complete team than Buffalo has
ever been. Baltimore never had the receivers since he was
(01:00:33):
a fluke, New England was old, and then if you
want to say Tampa beat the crap out of them
in twenty twenty, I think that had more to do
with Kansas City falling apart in their offensive line being
five like backups now who are.
Speaker 8 (01:00:43):
Out of the league basically.
Speaker 5 (01:00:45):
But I truly think this is the most complete team
they've ever had to face. Fourteen to zero when Jalen,
Lane and AJ finished the game.
Speaker 8 (01:00:52):
That's gonna do it for the Tough Cover Radio Show.
Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
Stay tuned on the other side for more Tough Cover
Radio show with our three interviews with beef.
Speaker 8 (01:01:01):
Spreads, totals, and all the prop that's in between.
Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
It's the Gambler.
Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
Welcome back to the Tough Cover Radio super Bowl preview contest.
Speaker 18 (01:01:29):
That was a little wordy right there that maybe maybe
maybe shorten that up, figure out a better, better version
of that, but we are doing a a huge super
Bowl contest that you've been listening to the show' you've
heard a couple of the Gambler gang already.
Speaker 8 (01:01:45):
But we are kicking off the twelve.
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
O'clock hour with one of our favorite guests here, Ryan
Coyle from Beef up Front. You can follow him on
Twitter at Ryan Coyle thirty five. We're at Beef up
Front and Beef, We've got to get your favorite props
on this game. I know you've been breaking it down
from every possible angle over the last two weeks.
Speaker 8 (01:02:08):
We've both been.
Speaker 5 (01:02:09):
All over the Fox Sports the Gambler airwaves. You've had
your podcast on Beef up Front as well.
Speaker 8 (01:02:15):
In the NFL Previews. You guys, do I know both
of us are just dying to get this game going, right.
Speaker 12 (01:02:23):
Yeah, That's what I've been saying to people. I'm like,
I think I know every player at this point's over under,
like their odds, everything between it. It's been kind of
glued to DraftKings, glued to Twitter. I'm ready for Sunday
to get here. You know, it's nice to have the weekend,
but it's even gonna be long, the longest weekend of
my life. Just get me to Sunday at six thirty.
Speaker 8 (01:02:44):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 5 (01:02:46):
It is absolutely insane how long these two weeks have felt.
I don't remember it feeling like this in twenty twenty three.
It didn't feel this this crazy long of a wait
this time around. Man, I've been ready to kick off
for about a week and a half at this point.
Speaker 8 (01:03:04):
But we're gonna run.
Speaker 5 (01:03:05):
Down everybody's five favorite Super Bowl bets. We're gonna throw
all five in a little Google doc, we'll tweet it out,
and we'll see who gets the most right. We'll obviously
tally the records up, but we'll take the odds into
consideration as well, and you know, someone loses all four
of their other bets, but hits a thirty.
Speaker 8 (01:03:25):
Five to one Super Bowl MVP bet.
Speaker 5 (01:03:27):
They might pull ahead and win this thing, but there
might be a happy medium to go with as well.
Speaker 8 (01:03:33):
We'll see what Beef.
Speaker 12 (01:03:34):
Does, all right, Well, I'll start it on my first one.
I think it's a game where the Eagles are gonna
come out and look to be aggressive off the rip.
So I like Jalen props a lot in this one,
and what I'm gonna go with is over eighteen and
a half completions that's in there at plus one hundred
on DraftKings. I lock that in earlier this week, as
(01:03:56):
I said to be, And I think it's gonna be
a game where the Eagles kind of look out look
to come out aggressive. I think the Chiefs are gonna
do everything to sell out to stop Saquon, and that
kind of is just gonna play into this prop. They're
gonna make Jalen Hurts beat them. Whether that's a good
recipe for success for them or not remains to be determined.
But I don't think they're gonna let Saquon be the
guy to beat them if he has obviously two hundred
(01:04:17):
yards and two long touchdowns. I think the Eagles are
gonna win this game pretty comfortably. They make Hurts drop
back and throw the ball a ton. I think that
favors into the Chiefs hands a little bit more rather
than if it was just Saquon getting the ball twenty
five times. So I think there's gonna be areas for
us for Jalen to get twenty four to twenty five
completions in this game. So I'm gonna go over eighteen
and a half completions at plus one hundred for my
(01:04:38):
first prop.
Speaker 8 (01:04:39):
That's a good number.
Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Is that your are are you starting out with your
favorite or are we building up to your favorite?
Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Uh?
Speaker 12 (01:04:44):
Yeah, I guess building up to my favorite by far
the one that I have the most change on so far.
Speaker 5 (01:04:50):
The suspense we're building up to the last one. It's
like the sports Center at the Sports Center top ten.
Speaker 8 (01:04:55):
Yeah, I agree with you.
Speaker 5 (01:04:57):
I think this is a passing game situation where the
PA I think he's gonna have to.
Speaker 8 (01:05:00):
Win this Super Bowl. I think it's going to be
you know.
Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
We can talk a little bit about the total, but
I think it's gonna be a high scoring game. And
you know, obviously running the ball can score, and you
can get explosive plays on that, but you're gonna have
to make plays through the air.
Speaker 8 (01:05:13):
So eighteen and a half completions feels like a fair
number for me. I would definitely take a peek at that.
Speaker 12 (01:05:17):
What is coming up next for you on the list
number two, I'm going to stick with Jalen as well.
I locked this one in today. I believe it was
minus one eleven, but it's over two fifty nine and
a half combined rushing and passing yards. I think this
is certainly a game where during the regular season over
the past couple of years, I think we've seen Jalen
(01:05:37):
protect himself much more as a runner. I think kind
of balls to the wall in this game where we're
going to see him over the shoulder a couple of times,
you know, screw the knee injury, screw the finger injury
that he's apparently dealt with. We're gonna see him run
the ball when he has to have it, kind of
like Patrick Mahomes on those like third and sevens. If
nothing's there either, these quarterbacks are going to look to
use their legs. So I think Jalen could certainly get
(01:05:59):
forty five. I have to fifty rushing yards. And as
I said at the beginning, I think they're really gonna
key in on Saquon force Jalen to beat them and
this Chiefs defense. They love the blitz and when you
do that, you're gonna get man coverage on the outside,
a couple of deep shots to aj to DeVante Dallas
over the middle. I think it could be a big
Jayleen Hurts day. So I'm gonna continue to pile up
there to fifty nine and a half and with his legs,
(01:06:22):
you can get that a nice chunk of that with
the rushing as well.
Speaker 8 (01:06:25):
Now I'm right there with you.
Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
I think I said there's no way you win this
game without them combining for without him combining for at
least two twenty plus. So obviously it's a little under
the number that we that you need for that bet,
but I think he's gonna cruise over that. I think
you probably get like two twenty pass yards, forty to
fifty maybe sixty rushing yards.
Speaker 8 (01:06:45):
What is just the rushing yards prop on that.
Speaker 12 (01:06:48):
I think his rushing is somewhere around like twenty nine
and a half. I think Mahomes was thirty and a half,
but I'm not sure exactly. I think the passing I
want to say, is like two twelve and a half
right now, so you have to figure it probably closer
to like thirty five and a half.
Speaker 13 (01:07:04):
I'd say.
Speaker 12 (01:07:04):
On his rushing yards, yeah, I might, I might take
a look at that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:08):
I think we definitely get Jalen Hurts some designed runs
or maybe even just some scrambles out of the pocket
like we saw.
Speaker 12 (01:07:14):
Last eight and half as a number.
Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
Yeah, fifteen carries for seventy yards and a touchdown in
the last Super Bowl. I don't think you get that
many touches from him with Saquon around nowadays, but I
still think he's going to be used as a runner
for sure. What is up next here on your list?
Speaker 8 (01:07:31):
All right?
Speaker 12 (01:07:32):
Shout out to uh. I think it was one of
your friends you tested in the group chat a couple
of weeks ago. Saquon longest rush. I think this number
is definitely higher than the one that you put in.
I forget if it was the Packers game or the
Rams game, but Saquon longest rush over twenty five and
a half at minus one tend he's going over this
in ten of nineteen games. Obviously, not a majority. Kind
(01:07:52):
of they're pretty even split, but it would be eleven.
He didn't get it in that Packers game of twenty
five and a half because he slid. That would have
been a fifty year six yard touchdown. But he's just
been a game breaker in the playoffs and when the Eagles,
when the Eagles have seemed to need it a play,
he makes it. I feel like the Eagles are gonna win,
and I said it. With the Chiefs game plan there,
I think they're really going to just try and shut
(01:08:12):
down Saquon, really limit especially these big runs. But I
feel like if the Eagles are gonna win this game,
they're gonna need one of those trademark kind of home
run runs from him, whether it's forty five fifty yards.
I think Saquon is just kind of playing like a
man possessed right now and he's gonna have one of
those game breaking rounds. So over twenty five and a
half for his longest rush through that in there as well.
Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
And then number four, So we're are these your two
biggest ones?
Speaker 8 (01:08:37):
Is this your second favorite one? So this one is the.
Speaker 12 (01:08:40):
Juiciest odds one okay, I say four, So this is
Davante one hundred plus receiving yards at plus six fifty
three career games against the Chiefs. I feel like this
stat has been floated out a decent amount of times
this week. But ninety nine yards, one hundred yards, one
hundred and twenty two yards, averaging one hundred seven yards
per game, and against any team or any player in
(01:09:01):
NFL history that's played a minimum of three games against
the Chiefs, deontaey Smith is averaging the most yards. It
just feels like when these blitz has came, the excuse me,
Jalen looks to find Davante against his defense. So I
said it at the beginning, where you're going to get
man coverage looks on the outside. We remember DeVante had
that deep catch in the in the previous Super Bowl,
(01:09:23):
went out at like the two yard line, but he's
not been held down in the playoffs. I just think
he hasn't really been asked to do that much. But
you know he's going to make timely plays when needed.
And I think he could have like a forty five
fifty yard touchdown on this one. Get that at plus
six fifty If you're looking for a kind of swing
for the fence type play. I really like that for
DeVante here, I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
Yeah, everybody's loving the Davante props, loving godd props, and
there's a lot of good reason for both. I think
that there's good reason to look at all three pass
catchers when it comes to the Eagles, especially if you're
confident like we are that it's going to be a
game with a lot.
Speaker 8 (01:09:58):
Of fireworks through the year.
Speaker 5 (01:09:59):
Save the best for last, the biggest bet, your favorite
of your top five?
Speaker 8 (01:10:05):
Where are you going?
Speaker 12 (01:10:07):
I'm going Eagles money line plus one ten. I think
it is so My standing on Eagles money line is
have from the preseason. I have them parlayed with Ohio
State at seventy seventy one to one to win it all,
so I have that I'm riding with, and then I
put them in before the playoffs at plus seven hundred
(01:10:27):
to win it all. And then over the past couple
of weeks, I've sprinkled a little more. Like last week
I did Saint Mary's Live, I did that with the Eagles.
I also put them in at plus one ten, and
then I have a couple others like where it's like
Jalen to score and Eagles Saquan to score and Eagles.
So I've got the Eagles in a bunch of things
in a multitude of ways. So if the Eagles win,
(01:10:50):
I'm not only going to be, you know, a very
happy fan, but also probably booking like a nice little
vacation for myself or something with my buddies, whether it's
I think we're talking about going to Austin next year
for a Texas game or you know, a March Madness
trip or something like that for Atlantic City. Be a
very happy man come Monday morning when I look at
(01:11:11):
DraftKings if the Eagles find a way to win, and
obviously for the emotional reasons as well.
Speaker 5 (01:11:15):
I had a big future in twenty twenty three on
the Eagles and that was so crushing. Didn't Hedge also
had a second future on jail and Super Bowl MVP
that I think I placed in like the wild card round.
Speaker 8 (01:11:29):
It was like twelve to one or thirteen to one
and would have cashed both of those.
Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
Obviously if the Eagles figured out a way to win
this year. There was a couple of different opportunities that
I liked the number, and I kind of said, you know, you'll.
Speaker 8 (01:11:42):
Be happy enough if they win.
Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
Yeah, And I didn't bet the prop because I felt
like it was bad.
Speaker 8 (01:11:49):
Juju to do it again after two years ago. At
this point, i'm happy I did that.
Speaker 5 (01:11:53):
If they win, I'm hoping that thought doesn't even cross
my mind.
Speaker 8 (01:11:57):
I'm hoping I'm not even thinking about the law.
Speaker 11 (01:11:59):
Yeah, exits.
Speaker 12 (01:12:01):
The money is just a nice little side piece.
Speaker 8 (01:12:03):
Yeah, I'll be more than I'll be more than.
Speaker 12 (01:12:04):
Happy and off if they just find a way to win.
But you know, at this rate, I'm pretty pretty buckled
down with that bat and I thought that the future
with the Ohio State one was cooked. That was a
pleasant kind of surprise throughout the playoffs and especially for us.
We both hammerd Tennessee in that first round game. So
from there, I was like, all right, go Ohio State
from here pretty much for.
Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
Me, Yeah, yeah, for sure, it's definitely definitely a good
future to be holding in the pocket. And that's why
we listened to Ryan Beef coil good futures, good bets
to be holding in the pocket. Check everything he's doing
over at Ryan Coyle thirty five on Twitter or at
Beef up Front on Twitter. Beef thanks so much for
(01:12:44):
coming on Gobert or actually I'm sorry, I forgot to
forgot to get you out of here and to leave
us off on a score.
Speaker 12 (01:12:50):
Prediction that's been as well already, thirty one twenty seven.
I also put a little change on a thirty eight
to thirty five reverse the fortunes game right now, but
thirty one twenty seven is my official prediction. I like
the over. I think it might be a little bit
of a slow start, but I think once the two
teams kind of settle in see what the defenses are
attacking them with, I think that we're gonna get kind
(01:13:12):
of a similar type of game from last time. So
thirty one twenty seven and we'll see you on Broad
Street next week.
Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Yeah, I'm gonna flip the script, finish the story. Thirty
eight thirty five. That's that's there.
Speaker 8 (01:13:23):
I'm going with there but beef. Thanks so much for
coming on, Go.
Speaker 19 (01:13:27):
Birds, Welcome back to the Tough Cover Super Bowl Contest
(01:13:47):
as it rolls on with another one of our favorite
guests from The Gambler.
Speaker 8 (01:13:53):
Right here, Roy Burton.
Speaker 5 (01:13:54):
You can follow him on Twitter at the bs line
and check out everything he's got going on. He's been
hosting a ton of Super Bowl content here for us
at The Gambler Roy, how are we doing.
Speaker 3 (01:14:06):
We're doing good, Mark, looks listen.
Speaker 20 (01:14:07):
We're hours away, Like I know, you know, these last
two weeks I felt like an eternity. We're literally hours
away from the biggest game maybe of our lifetime.
Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
So I'm pretty excited.
Speaker 5 (01:14:17):
It really feels like it with the build up of
obviously having the.
Speaker 8 (01:14:21):
Same damn super Bowl two years ago and.
Speaker 5 (01:14:25):
Getting to repeat this thing again and try to right
the wrong, it really does feel like the biggest game
of our lives. But here we are talking all things
super Bowl betting props. We had beef on, We've had
Nick McLay, We've had Luke Arcaney, Sean Bernard, We've had
all of our guys giving out our five favorite super
(01:14:46):
Bowl prop bets.
Speaker 8 (01:14:47):
And now it's Roy's turn. So it's gonna be interesting.
Some people are doing different strategies.
Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
Some people throwing a long shot in there that maybe
if they lose a couple that long shot helps. We're
gonna take whoever has the the best kind of odds
based on their five winners. Some people kind of going
with more straight up bets. Roy, do you want to
start off with your favorite bet of the five or
do you want to build up to that as the
last one.
Speaker 20 (01:15:12):
Now we'll go with my favorite bet. I'll go my
favorite bet of the five. Let's go with Patrick Mahomes
over five and a half rushing attempts and number has
kind of been going up and down over the week,
but it's at five and a half rushing attempts at
minus one twenty three.
Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
He's cleared that number in both of the playoff games.
Speaker 20 (01:15:29):
I think it's gonna be a game where he's gonna
have to get out the pocket a little bit and run, obviously,
because especially because of the pressure that's gonna come up
the middle against the against the Eagles. So give me
that five and a half rushing attempts for Patrick Mahomes.
That's my best bet for this weekend's game.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 5 (01:15:45):
I think you probably see both quarterbacks using their legs
maybe more than we see them do on an a
normal game, and you know, no more, no more games
to save them for from getting hit.
Speaker 8 (01:15:58):
Obviously, this is the game that you saved for.
Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
So yeah, I think looking at Mahomes and Hurts rushing
props definitely makes.
Speaker 8 (01:16:05):
A whole lot of sense. What would be up next
here on your fave five?
Speaker 20 (01:16:09):
So up, Max, I'm gonna go with Cream Hunt. Two
plus catches for plus one forty six. Eagles allow you know,
four catches in twenty eight yards to the running back
position per game out of the backfield, and Cream Hunt's
going to be the guy who's gonna get most of
those snaps out of the backfield. He doubled up the
checko and snaps in the AFC Championship game. He's probably
(01:16:29):
gonna lead that backfield in receptions on those. SAMAJH p
RN is kind of lurking out there as well, but
I think Hunt's probably going to get those receptions. He's
had six games with two plus catches this season and
he's cleared six and a half receiving yards in seven
games a season, so he's good. He gets a fair
amount of work out of the backfield. So if you
want to spice up the numbers a little bit, two
(01:16:49):
plus catches for a Cream Hunt a plus one forty
six not that.
Speaker 5 (01:16:53):
Yeah, it's become quite clear that hunts the guy out
of the backfield there. I think there's a good chance
that the Chiefs abandoned the run game, which I think
only helps Hunt in that case because the check is
not a passing downs guy at all. I think you
see a ton of Kareem Hunt out there at least
on the field running routes.
Speaker 8 (01:17:14):
Even if they do abandon the run game. What would
be up next to here on your list?
Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Up next?
Speaker 20 (01:17:19):
I got to go with the Eagles, little bit, show
some love to the local team. Nolan Smith, you know
over you know, a quarter of a sack minus one
oh two, basically even money. He's had at least half
a second in all four of his postseason games in
his career. He has seven sacks in his last eight
games overall, if you go back to the regular season.
So Nolan Smith, I think is going to be able
to cause a little bit of hav it. It gets a
(01:17:40):
little banged up Chiefs offensive line. So give me Nola
Smith again over that quartersack for minus one oh two.
Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
Yeah, outside outside of jail in touchdown, that's my favorite
bet in the Super Bowl. I know Sean Bernard has
it on his list as well. So we've got a
couple of us here in the contest riding that one.
Any worries that Jalen Carter got him sick, there was
the report I think it was. I think it was
Oj Spivey I saw on Twitter say he was supposed
(01:18:07):
to interview Nolan Smith and and he said he didn't
want what he has. So there's been a lot of
reports on the Nolan's are on the Jalen Carter sickness.
Speaker 8 (01:18:15):
Any concerned about Nolan.
Speaker 20 (01:18:16):
No, not really. I saw I forget who it was,
and Oj is a good friend of mine. I forget
who it was. Someone on the the the case he
chiefs they have some kind of illness as well.
Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
I forget who it is specifically.
Speaker 20 (01:18:25):
So I think there's just something running around, maybe you know,
some bad oysters or something they called, you know, they
had down in New Orleans. But no concerns about Nolan Smith.
I think he's he's been active enough, and he's he's
young enough. You know how those young guys are, Like,
you get sick one day, you feel like a million
bucks in next.
Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
So I think he's gonna be fine.
Speaker 8 (01:18:40):
Yeah, look at Beef.
Speaker 5 (01:18:41):
You know, he goes out one night, he wakes up
in the morning ready to go out.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
Of tubsy I shot.
Speaker 8 (01:18:50):
But oh, next on the list number four where you go.
Speaker 20 (01:18:53):
Number four for me, let's go in with another plus money. Bet,
let's go Travis Kelcey twenty five receiving yards in each
half plus one forty. I think if the Chiefs have
any shadow win in this game, it's gonna be a
Travis kelce game. So I think Travis is going to
be pretty active in the passing game obviously on Sunday.
So twenty five receiving yards in each half, that's probably
(01:19:14):
like three catches. It seems like a very reasonable number
for each half for him to get reasonable amount of works.
So I like that number of plus one forty for
Kelsey to clear that.
Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
Yeah, on my list of bets that I'm not allowing
myself to make, Travis Kelcey over sixty two and a
half and Travis kelce.
Speaker 8 (01:19:31):
Touchdown on that list.
Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
And for the people out there who want to say
he was held quiet against Buffalo, you know, maybe he's
just washed. You look at the last fifteen games he's
played in the playoffs. He's had fourteen games over seventy
one plus yards. The only time he didn't do it
was last round. So I think that it's a pretty
good bet. He hasn't had two straight games since Tyreek
(01:19:54):
Hill was on the team where he went under that total. Obviously,
a different bet, but twenty five plus yards in each half,
that's probably even safer to be honest and just betting
that prop. So I Travis kelce I'm going to bed
with nightmares of Travis Kelcey each night so far in
the last couple of weeks here, but rounding it off
with your fave five your last bet here? Are you
(01:20:14):
going with a long shot or were keeping kind of
the driver keeping it in the fairway.
Speaker 20 (01:20:20):
Now we're gonna We're gonna keep it fairway, hopefully, hopefully
long and straight down the fairway. I like this bed
a little bit more when it opened up, but it's
not at that number anymore. Xavier Worthy over six and
a half rushing yards at minus one o three actually
open up at four and a half, But a lot
of people jump onto there because four and a half
is a really good number. But just to kind of
give you a little background, Andy Reid. According to our
(01:20:40):
good friends over atvis Andy Reid's called a running play
for a non running back nine quarterback for twenty straight
playoff games, and that running play is probably gonna go
to Xavier Worthy. He's had a carry in fourteen out
of the team's eighteen games this year, he's had two
carries or two plus carries and six games this year.
Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
Again, like I said, I liked it.
Speaker 20 (01:21:00):
I loved the number at four and a half because
he had cleared that four and a half number eleven
times this year, but he's clear six and a half
seven times, so I like it. I don't love it
as much as I did before, but I will still
stick with the over six and a half rushing yards
for Xavier Worthy at minus one oh three, I like it.
Speaker 8 (01:21:17):
Yeah, I've seen a couple of those type of stats.
There's also I think in each Super Bowl they've had.
Speaker 5 (01:21:21):
Someone's score that's plus five hundred or better, so people
were trying to figure out who that was gonna be.
But yeah, I kind of kept it in the fairyway
with my five as well. We'll see if that's the
winning strategy here for this contest. But last, but not least,
I'm letting each person kind of give their score with
a little bit of a script with how they think
(01:21:43):
the game goes roy what's the final score.
Speaker 20 (01:21:47):
So I think this is a little a back and
forth affair. I think this is gonna be a pretty
fairly tight game. I don't think any team is going
to kind of get out to a huge lead, but
I think it probably comes in a hair under that total.
I think we're gonna see a game that's gonna end
up Eagles twenty seven, Chiefs twenty at the end of
the day, and the Eagles are gonna be victorious and
(01:22:08):
and and bring home that Super Bowl fifty nine trophy
back to Philadelphia.
Speaker 8 (01:22:13):
Love it, We love to hear it.
Speaker 5 (01:22:15):
I think everybody's given us a close game because I
think we'd all be shocked if it wasn't. It really
feels like this is gonna be you know, Cody Roman
part two. If that was a close game, they needed Undertaker,
you know, they needed John Cena, needed set rollins in
the shield gear.
Speaker 8 (01:22:32):
Uh when you.
Speaker 5 (01:22:33):
Know in this case, it's like Vic Fangio is Vic Fangio,
So I don't know, I'd have.
Speaker 8 (01:22:38):
To figure out who who are the Cody Vengers for
this Eagles.
Speaker 5 (01:22:41):
Right like the second time, it's like fangioon obviously. Yeah, so, uh, Roy,
It's always good to have you on here. We we
just did straight shooters last night with pecone and vaugh
and everybody checked that out with our rumble reaction. I'd say,
Roy was gave a very objective and reserved opinion about
the Wrung Gole while I sounded like the angriest online
(01:23:05):
wrestling fan of all time.
Speaker 8 (01:23:06):
But hey, sometimes that's what you gotta do.
Speaker 20 (01:23:09):
Wrestling makes people passionate, you know, And I knew again,
but from our conversations, I knew you were very passionate
about this. So I told everybody before you know what
we got to clear out. You gotta run the ISO.
Mark's gonna run the ISO, and he's just gonna he's
just gonna take over in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:23:22):
And that's what you did, not the USO, the ISO.
Speaker 8 (01:23:25):
But no, but well, everybody go check that out.
Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
Great stuff from uh the ConA and Vaughn and Roy
as usual, and everybody check out all the stuff Roy's
got going on over at the BS line on Twitter.
I'm sure he's gonna have content coming out all weekend long.
So check out everything he's got going on over there.
Any plugs for the Gambler this weekend for you, Roy, Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:23:49):
No, bunch of stuff you'll hear me probably on the
Gambler and all sorts of stuff. I know that we're
playing a lot of stuff that we did this week.
I was on with Luke Mark Kenny earlier this week,
so so you can catch me doing that and then
they'll probably play we play the Behind Enemy Lines special
I did earlier this week. Good friend Sad Davis, longtime
Chiefs fan. We kind of broke things down from the
Chiefs perspective, breaking things down as far as you know
(01:24:10):
what we can expect from our offensive line and you
know whether Andy Reid's playing possum with us in that
Chiefs backfield. So if you want some insight from the
Katy perspective, keep a lot in the Gambler this week
for that Behind Enemy Line special.
Speaker 8 (01:24:22):
Perfect. Everybody go check it out.
Speaker 5 (01:24:24):
Great stuff from Roy as always, Roy, thanks so much
for coming on.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
Go Birds, Go Birds. Thanks Mark.
Speaker 5 (01:24:41):
Welcome back to the Tough Cover Radio super Bowl contest here.
And we've got the best and the brightest from the
Gambler gang.
Speaker 8 (01:24:52):
And we had to get the.
Speaker 5 (01:24:53):
Godfather, Sean Brace. You can follow him on Twitter obviously
over at Sean Underscore. We're Brace Brace, We're We're we're
hours away, we're you know, sleeps away here from what
we've called on this radio station, the biggest game of
our lives.
Speaker 8 (01:25:11):
How we feeling.
Speaker 4 (01:25:13):
Feeling great man, just as echoing everybody else's take.
Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
Let's just get there already, right.
Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
We have broken this game down every which way, you know,
credit to the sports books that continue to add new
props and stuff. But for the most part, x'es and o's,
and we you know, we hit on x's and o's
a lot. But I think we've covered everything, to say
the least. So just looking forward to the game, looking
forward to seeing how it plays out, and hopefully the
Birds prevail, man, because that's that's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
Just getting that final victory.
Speaker 8 (01:25:42):
That's all we care about.
Speaker 5 (01:25:44):
But on the side, we're hoping we can make some
money a little bit here on that too.
Speaker 8 (01:25:51):
More important.
Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
I do want to make sure people know your bets
are secondary on Sunday. This isn't Bengals Rams. We're not
talking Niners Chiefs. You know, it's not Bucks Chiefs. The
Eagles are in the freaking Super Bowl. Tell me about
your parlays after the game. I don't want to hear
about it during the game. I'll be living and dying
(01:26:13):
and I think brace here.
Speaker 8 (01:26:15):
Is where I'm coming from there.
Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
But yeah, having said that, it is the Super Bowl
there's props the plenty.
Speaker 8 (01:26:22):
We've covered it from every angle.
Speaker 5 (01:26:23):
We've all got some of the favorite props that we
like that we're sprinkling on, that we're hammering.
Speaker 8 (01:26:29):
And we've got Roy.
Speaker 5 (01:26:30):
So far, We've got We've got McLay, We've got Luke, Arcaney,
Bernard Beef, plenty others, Tansy coming. But we've got to
get Brace's top five plays here. And I've explained it
to everybody a little, but we're gonna count it by
the odds. So if someone hits a plus six hundred
long shot and they lose two or three other bets,
(01:26:53):
they still might win the contest. Some people, I know,
Roy kind of just kept it in the fairway minus
one ten plus one ten type bet.
Speaker 8 (01:27:01):
I kind of did similar.
Speaker 5 (01:27:02):
I had one Mardy, but no crazy long shots in there.
Speaker 8 (01:27:06):
A couple people.
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
I think Bernard's got a long shot in there. Beef
I think threw a long shot in there. But Brace,
do you want to lead off with your favorite bet
of the five or.
Speaker 8 (01:27:15):
Do you want to build up to your favorite bet
of the five.
Speaker 4 (01:27:18):
I'll lead up with my biggest long shot of the
five start there. Yeah, So all it matters is that look,
we're gonna go to totality. It doesn't have anything to
do with like, hey, his favorite bet, blah blah blah
blah blah. So it's just a totality of the score.
So let's just let's stay with that. Let's go my
favorite long shot. And I've talked about this multiple times
(01:27:41):
up the course of the week, but I'm gonna go
to it. It's plus fifteen hundred, still available, still available.
I don't know if that scares me or not because
I placed this immediately, but one rushing touchdown per quarter
doesn't matter to team, just one rushing touchdown per quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
It's plus fifteen hundred.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
So that is my and it's one of my favorite bets,
but that is my biggest play as far as a
long shot is concerned.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
Plus fifteen hundred A.
Speaker 5 (01:28:07):
Funny one on that note, and not a guy who
I necessarily normally give credit to for any bets that
I thought I think are smart. But Marty Mush, of
all people from barstool, had an interesting idea. He thinks
Saquon's gonna go nuts in the Super Bowl, and he
was saying, I'm going to bet him every quarter to
score a touchdown. I think it's like between plus four
(01:28:28):
hundred to plus five hundred if you bet individually each quarter.
So he was saying, if he hits one touchdown, you
barely lose a unit. I think if he hits two,
you're in the plus. It's not a terrible strategy if
you think Saquon's scoring multiple times and there's a chance
he hits three touchdowns and then you're piling it up.
(01:28:49):
Obviously plus fifteen hundred. You got a ton of juice
right there anyway, but definitely not to mention. Obviously, when
you're counting that rough touchdown per quarter, you.
Speaker 8 (01:28:59):
Get to bushes as well. So that's a pretty important
stat right there. Number two on the list.
Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
Would be Jalen Hurts two touchdowns, two touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (01:29:11):
I got it at plus five point fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:29:12):
It has moved, so lock me in a plus five
point fifty.
Speaker 3 (01:29:15):
Took it two days ago.
Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
It's down to five hundred right now as we are
talking about this here plus five hundred Undraftkings Sportsbooks.
Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
Some money coming in on that, which is interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
Let me go ahead and pull up the three touchdowns
because I was I did sprinkle just a little bit
on three touchdowns, and that was at thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Two to one. Let me see, yeah, let me see
if that's out there?
Speaker 8 (01:29:37):
Did it last time?
Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
It is now down to twenty two to one.
Speaker 8 (01:29:42):
Wow, that's a big jump.
Speaker 3 (01:29:44):
Money coming in.
Speaker 4 (01:29:45):
Well, look at the end of the day, here we are,
it's the weekend getting closer, a lot of average Joe
money coming in, a lot of people just want to
get involved, so that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
But twenty two to one. Got it at thirty two
to one.
Speaker 4 (01:29:55):
Missed thirty six to one or maybe thirty eight to
one was the first time I saw it, but it
was some number.
Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
That was like, wait a minute, that's possible. But I'm comfortable.
I love the two touchdown play.
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
I think anybody and everybody should have it plus five
fifty plus five.
Speaker 3 (01:30:09):
Hundred two touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (01:30:11):
Look, man, if Jalen Hurt's going to lead this team
to the Promised Land, he's going to score at least one,
and if he gets one, then you're in the ballpark.
Speaker 3 (01:30:19):
You're in the running for two.
Speaker 4 (01:30:20):
So hopefully that's the case, and it will lead us
to another play of mine as well.
Speaker 8 (01:30:24):
Are you double dipping with Jaalen touchdown as well?
Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
No, I'm double dipping with Jaialen MVP.
Speaker 5 (01:30:31):
Okay, all right, you're doing with the odds here, So
if you hit one of these, you might only have
to hit one of your last two.
Speaker 8 (01:30:38):
It's not a bad strategy.
Speaker 4 (01:30:39):
Yes, Jalen plus three to fifty four of the MVP,
and look, I just think Saquon Ken and will and
he'll go off. But I just feel like the voters
don't really break this one down in great detail.
Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
I know that there's been some receivers that have won
it over the years a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Matter of fact, we talked about that, but.
Speaker 4 (01:31:01):
Jalen, if the Eagles are going to win the Super Bowl,
it's not like because Jalen Hurst didn't do anything, He's
going to have to make plays.
Speaker 3 (01:31:09):
He's going to have to throw the football.
Speaker 4 (01:31:11):
And I do expect Eagles to be aggressive, and I
think Jalen's gonna get his.
Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
So I love Jalen Hurts MVP. Give me that plus
three fifty.
Speaker 5 (01:31:18):
Yeah, people keep bringing up spags and people keep bringing
up he's gonna throw confusing blitzes at Jalen and it's
gonna be a tough matchup for him. We saw the
matchup two years ago. This Chiefs defense is actually you
could argue maybe not quite as good as that chief
defense was, or at least pretty similar, and they weren't.
They didn't have any answer for Jalen in that game.
(01:31:39):
They had a heck of an answer for Kenny Gainwell
and Miles Sanders and Bustin Scott in the run game.
Speaker 8 (01:31:44):
But that's a little different now with Saquon.
Speaker 5 (01:31:47):
But any Saquon bets making the top five.
Speaker 4 (01:31:51):
Here, you know, I'm not taking any unders, as I've
seen plenty of people say I like the under on this.
He's now down to one and eleven and a half.
There's crazy numbers. We know what the Chiefs did this
whole season with the standpoint of only giving up one
to one hundred rusher in Week one against Lamar, I'm
not if I'm not mistaken. Mark, there's twenty four starts,
(01:32:15):
twenty four appearance is a defensive coordinator for Steve Spagnola.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
He has yet to give up a.
Speaker 4 (01:32:19):
One hundred yard rusher in the playoffs, so twenty four
opportunities as a defensive coordinator.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Nobody has gone for over a buck.
Speaker 4 (01:32:26):
I do believe that ends on Sunday and Saquan is
just an absolute stud.
Speaker 3 (01:32:31):
But could he end up with one oh five or
you know, one ten, sure, and that.
Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
Would be a terrible beat. But he averages one hundred
and twenty eight yards. And this is at one eleven
and a half number now, which is way down from
what it was in the NFC Championship game. So I
wouldn't hate if you said take it, but I'm gonna
avoid Saquon. There's nothing really.
Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
There grabbing me.
Speaker 4 (01:32:51):
I'm all in on jailing hurts just because of what
we know over the years and watching and how things
operate inside that goal line opportunity.
Speaker 3 (01:32:59):
So hopefully it.
Speaker 4 (01:33:01):
Hits a couple home runs, that's all that matters, and
he gets into the end zone.
Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
But I'm gonna roll with jail On more than saque.
Speaker 8 (01:33:07):
So number four, have you given your best bet yet?
Here the top five? Or be saving that for last?
Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
Best bet? Will save for last. I was up in
the air. Here's number four.
Speaker 4 (01:33:18):
I was debating on going the rush yards total, but
I'm gonna go with.
Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
Another swing here.
Speaker 4 (01:33:27):
I'm gonna take another swing, and I have it and
it's open, and I just want to make sure that
I'm spinning it correctly. But it is the longest rush.
This is a swing for the fences at plus one thousand.
Both quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts to have a
(01:33:51):
rushing yard a longest rush of twenty plus yards. It
is at plus one thousand, So both quarterbacks need to
have one rush of over twenty yards and it's a
big time swing at plus one thousand.
Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
Yes, I'm gonna roll with that here, just for essen.
Speaker 4 (01:34:10):
Giggles, I was going to go with his longest rush Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
I was going to go fourth quarter rushes.
Speaker 4 (01:34:16):
I'm kind of like thinking that that might be a
good play as well. Twenty nine and a half is
his number. I love both quarterbacks going over their number.
Jaalenhurs is at thirty eight and a half, Patrick Mahomes
at twenty nine and a half. But I'll stay away
from that. Let's just go with the swing for the fences.
I want the victory. Give it at give me that.
Speaker 8 (01:34:33):
Lot of rushing props.
Speaker 5 (01:34:35):
I know Bernard's on Jalens rushing beef sun Jalen's combined
passing and rushing. Roy's on mahomes over rush attempts. I
totally agree with all you guys. I think both quarterbacks
will be running. Yeah, I mean, this is what you
save up for. Like the reason that you don't run
your quarterbacks as often as you want to is you
don't want to get them hurt. But that goes away
(01:34:56):
in games like this. This is the game that you're
saving it all of for. But brace the fifth and
final the best bet for the tough cover super Bowl contest?
Speaker 3 (01:35:06):
Here? Where are you going?
Speaker 4 (01:35:08):
It's tough because it could go, like you said, get
it in the fair way.
Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
But we're going to Dallas Godder and.
Speaker 4 (01:35:15):
I'm flipping a coin between either any time touchdown or
the receptions or the yards, oh man, because like I
want to win, you want to walk away with the victory,
and that's the most important part.
Speaker 8 (01:35:29):
Let me just see what what are the.
Speaker 5 (01:35:31):
Props at because I know that early in the week
he was the most bet guy on the board I saw,
and I actually out of so far me Bernard Roy
b Few.
Speaker 8 (01:35:45):
This is the first.
Speaker 5 (01:35:46):
Goddard prop that I've gotten on the board, and I
thought everybody was going to have him last couple of games.
Four catches, four catches, four catches, seven catches, fifty five
fifty six, eighty five, two touchdowns in that stretch.
Speaker 8 (01:36:00):
Where are the props at now.
Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
Four and a half of receptions fifty one and a
half for yards anytime touchdown. I'll come back to that
in a second. So here's here's my line of thinking.
What we saw against the Commanders is not what we're going.
Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
To see against the Chiefs. Right the way that the.
Speaker 4 (01:36:16):
Defense was set up for the Commanders, it's almost like
they allowed one on one on the outside and those
guys to get open and Jail to be comfortable throwing
the football. I still feel like that it's going to
be you know, Jalen's going to be comfortable, don't get
me wrong, But I do think like they're going to
have some slide of a double coverage towards AJ. It's
(01:36:39):
not going to be that easy to find AJ Brown
DeVante could be to play. I know that he's ripped
up the Kansas City Chiefs, so that kind of makes
me feel like, hey, that's how they have played the
Eagles before, sliding coverage towards AJ. So it's either between
Davante or Dallas. But you're right, everybody is on DeVante.
So where there's zig and I'm zagen. Give me Dallas
got it to a point.
Speaker 14 (01:37:00):
But you know what, and to get a win.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
And to get a win, we're going yards.
Speaker 8 (01:37:05):
I think yards is the way to go.
Speaker 4 (01:37:07):
Yep, We're get We're getting a win because I want
to go any time touchdown. But I'm not walking away
without finding a victory. With Dallas fifty one and a
half currently on Draftings Sportsbook over under receiving yards.
Speaker 3 (01:37:19):
Let's roll with that. Excuse me, excuse me, fifty two
and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
So unfortunately we got to throw that yard in there,
fifty two and a half at minus one oh eight
right here, right now, let's lock that in. Dallas got
her over and yards. The chemistry is there. I think
the opportunity is going to be there. Dallas is heavily
highly athletic too, and if you remember in Super Bowl
fifty seven, he made a couple of big plays where
he went up and got the ball. So I think
(01:37:42):
that he could be a little bit of a safety
blanket too with the exotic blitzes. Maybe on third down.
Getting Dallas got her involved early is not a bad thing.
Give me dg Over fifty two and a half as
my best bet.
Speaker 5 (01:37:55):
Love it, and last but not least, give me give
me your here. What's the what's the final score, and
how are we getting there?
Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
Eagles role. I think Eagles are throwing forty up?
Speaker 1 (01:38:14):
I do?
Speaker 3 (01:38:15):
I think, yeah, I think the Eagles are scoring forty.
I just feel like I feel like they're hitting their stride.
Speaker 4 (01:38:22):
They're confident, and I've been banging this drum about the
motivational factor, like you know, yeah, there are plenty of
people taking the Eagles, but man, when it comes to media,
three p andy mahomes da da da da dah, like
enough of that. The Eagles are a damn good football
team and they're gonna show everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
I think they score forty. I do. I think they
get to the forty.
Speaker 4 (01:38:44):
Give me forty one by themselves and give them homes like,
we'll go twenty four forty one, twenty four finals score,
Eagles roll on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:38:55):
I if I'm out there, not an Eagles, They're a
Chiefs fan. I'm hammering the over because I totally I
have thirty eight thirty five.
Speaker 8 (01:39:01):
So heck of a tone.
Speaker 5 (01:39:03):
You got thirty eight thirty five Again, thirty eight thirty five,
flip the script.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
Oh we win, my god, that would be so cool.
We have thirty eight is not far off of forty.
So at the end of the now, like we are
somewhat seeing it's similar, I do. I just I think
man Saquan is a man on the mission.
Speaker 3 (01:39:21):
This offensive line is damn good. I got nothing more
respect for car.
Speaker 4 (01:39:24):
Office and and Chris Jones and and you know, of
course mcduffy at the cornerback position spags. But I just
think this offense being doubted at this point in time
on a dry track indoor, let's go, let's go.
Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
Yeah, I totally agree. I think we get a whole
heck of a ton of points. We got a whole
heck of a ton of points last time in a
game where Jalen fumbled the ball and they returned it
for a touchdown, and in a game where the running
backs had seventeen carries for forty five yards.
Speaker 8 (01:39:53):
So that's not happening.
Speaker 5 (01:39:54):
Whatever they do to Saquon to bottle them up, maybe
to limit the pain, maybe you don't get the explosive
forty plus yard plays. He's not getting seventeen for forty five.
He's doing better than that. He's at the worst getting
ninety yards. I think personally, so I think it's gonna
be a little bit of a different story this time around.
Speaker 8 (01:40:15):
Well worries me.
Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
It's the other side of the ball, but we don't
have to talk about that right now.
Speaker 8 (01:40:20):
But you have to feel good about this defense compared
to the other year.
Speaker 5 (01:40:23):
So we got all the Gambler gang hitting this from
every possible angle all day long. We're airing all the
content we did from all week. Braces on a heck
of a ton of those, a heck of a lot
of that content. Check out everything over at Fox Sports,
The Gambler on YouTube, on Twitter, Sean Brace over at
Shawn Underscore. Brace thanks so much for coming on boss
(01:40:45):
Man anytime.
Speaker 4 (01:40:47):
Mark always a pleasure kicking ass and taking names on
a tough.
Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
Cover race show. And I just said that out loud.
Speaker 4 (01:40:52):
Eagles forty two, Chiefs twenty three, good grief, Here we go.
Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
Go, Birds Go Birds spreads, totals and all the prop
that's in between.
Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
It's the Gambler
