Chris Holling (00:00):
Okay, I'm really
just winging this, honestly. So
Sean Cooper (00:05):
all right, wing
away.
Chris Holling (00:07):
I, the way I see
it is we'll just try to do this.
And if it sounds terrible, we'lltry and do it again. And we'll
just we'll just do a couplerounds until I say, Stop button.
Yeah. Okay. Okay. Let's see. Sothen then the music plays,
(00:29):
right, I think I think musicintro is important.
Welcome, everybody to the truthabout investing back to basics.
(00:52):
My name is Chris Holling.
Sean Cooper (00:54):
And I'm Sean
Cooper.
Chris Holling (00:55):
And this is your
magical introduction, or table
of contents, as it were, or orkind of both. we've, we've been
active now for about a year, believe it or not, that's kind
of kind of wild to me. And we'reslowly starting to creep up on
Sean Cooper (01:16):
750 downloads. did
you see that?
Chris Holling (01:19):
just hit that
yesterday, actually. So we're
750 downloads, you know, it'sI'm not saying we're better than
others that are only at 700downloads, but and
Sean Cooper (01:32):
as long as we're
not looking at somebody who has
like, a million plus, downloads
Chris Holling (01:35):
we don't talk
about those guys no,
Don't talk aboutthose guys. But we we want this
Sean Cooper (01:37):
yes,
or at least one of
the reasons why it's it'sto be a introduction into into
us, we we try to bring downinvesting to a level that
everybody can really understandand very lucky to have Sean here
with us with his level of yearsof expertise. And and I'm really
just learning along witheverybody and and the comedic
(02:00):
relief at best. And we do gointo who we are and talk about
ourselves in the first episode.
But this table of contents is towelcome you to come and listen
to us. And to let you know, thefirst season is all about health
care and health insurance. Andlots of the ins and outs of that
(02:22):
because we think it's importantfor people to understand why
it's important to invest for thelong haul. And
definitely a big, big cashoutflow that you eventually get
hit with later in life or maybeearlier in life.
And it's just good to be awareof those things and and know
Chris Holling (02:38):
Sure.
some of the realities to it.
Whereas the second season, ifyou decide to jump into that
side, or only focus on the firstseason, the second season is a
lot more focused on theframework of how to get started
to make sure that you are readyto start investing, we are
gearing up to start our thirdseason coming up here soon. And
third season will be the actualact of investing itself. And I
(03:00):
know that that seems a long waysout. But I think that we've
covered a lot of really goodstuff and done a lot of good
detail. So bring bring your yourcoffee, maybe a notepad, and
really just enjoy the ride ifyou can, because it's been a
great interest. Interesting. Ican't speak English either. But
(03:22):
it's been a very interestingexperience for me the whole way.
And, and I hope it's been
Sean Cooper (03:28):
likewise
Chris Holling (03:29):
the same for
Sean. See, see? I you know, I
paid him to say that and that'sfine.
But
Sean Cooper (03:36):
Wow, I don't get
paid much sleep.
Chris Holling (03:38):
We don't get paid
much.
Sean Cooper (03:41):
We don't get paid
anything.
Chris Holling (03:43):
That's right.
Sean Cooper (03:43):
Well can I throw
something in and you can edit it
how you like?
Chris Holling (03:46):
Yeah
Sean Cooper (03:48):
I mean, kind of the
way you address this to me,
Chris was that this was designedto be a guide so that people
could jump in, get a feel forwhere the pod podcast has been
and where it's going so thatthey can enter at any point in
the podcast without goingthrough a bunch of stuff that
they might already know ordoesn't interest them. And this
way they can get right to themeat of what they're trying to
(04:10):
learn about.
Chris Holling (04:11):
That's exactly
what I wanted to say. Did I not
say that? I probably didn't saythat very well. That's perfect.
That Welcome Welcome to the meatand potatoes. And yeah, jump
where you like they should belabeled appropriately. Welcome
to the truth about investingback to basics.
