Talking about money can feel tricky. Even icky. Something you were told to "stay away from" as a child and young adult. You don't talk about how much you make - not even with colleagues.
I want to break that stigma because I want women to be richer. We need women to be richer. The pay gap needs to be bridged.
Money means options. It means you can leave a toxic relationship. It allows you to be home every Friday to play with your kids. It gives you the freedom to move into a safer neighborhood, buy healthier food, and get better health insurance.
So in this episode, I am openly talking about money. I am giving you a real life example, with details, of how I negotiated higher pay.
