SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Hi, this is Midi Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am

(00:02):
the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking into theWeathermanpod.com on your
Thursday.
It's the sixth day in the monthof November, 2025.
And boy, was it windy during thelast evening?
That strong throttle systemmoved through at around 9, 10
p.m.
And immediately the winds kickedup to about 50 miles per hour in
gust in many spots and causedextensive delays across the
northeast.

(00:22):
You know, a lot of times we talkabout uh uh aviation weather for
departing from mainly theMid-Atlantic and the Northeast
region and then going elsewherein the country.
And of course you have delays inspecific places, but getting
into Norwich, LaGuardia, and JFKlast evening I saw just for
Norwich alone, six areas orNorth Carolina, Virginia,
Pennsylvania, and even uhsouthern New Jersey and Del

(00:43):
Marva, uh, six places where theyhad to circle to slow things
down because they had to circlearound to runway 29 and land
there.
And uh, of course, very stronggusty winds causing low-level
severe turbulence.
Those folks on those planesreally felt it.
Uh, weather-wise, today it'scalmer.
We're kind of northwest wind fortoday, but it's gonna be nice.
Big area, high pressure acrossWest Virginia, extending from

(01:03):
Ohio, eastern Kentucky, andTennessee, and the western
Virginias and Carolinas.
We'll continue to drifteastward, but very quickly.
We'll have good weather todayand tomorrow.
Then by tomorrow evening, another weather front, this time
coming in from due west.
That's going to be moving intothe area and giving us the
period of some showers.
That'll be on Friday night, early Saturday.
One dry day on Saturday, asecondary area of low pressure.

(01:25):
It's going to be moving in.
We'll give us rainy weather anda strong cold front on Sunday
and Sunday evening.
Monday high temperatures in manyspots, only in the 40s.
There'll be talk of snow incentral and western portions of
Pennsylvania, the finger lakesof New York and central and
northern New England from thisstrong northwesterly flow that
will be developing across theregion.
That will be on Monday andTuesday of next week.

(01:48):
But in the meantime, we've gotuh improving weather for today.
Expect high temperatures up toaround 55 to 60, and then for
tonight back toward the low tomiddle 30s, and many spots will
be a strong frost and sunnyweather back up to near 60
tomorrow.
And then on Saturday, it lookslike we will have in the
mid-60s, mid-sixties also onSunday, with that rain sharply

(02:09):
cooler into early next week.
And if you're traveling again,uh a lot of the delays from last
evening now starting to subside.
Still some gusty northwest windsin the New York area.
Philadelphia, Baltimore,Washington, D.C., faring a
little bit better with lighterwinds there, but all dry
conditions, so no problemsweather-wise, as far as
ceilings, visibilities, andprecipitation is concerned.

(02:29):
The wind is causing still someproblems up in Boston and in
southern Maine.
But uh down in Charlotte, weather's looking good.
Good Atlanta, no problems incentral South Florida.
Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, dryweather, Chicago, a little warm
front moving through there, butit's VFR conditions and very
good flying conditions intoChicago today.
And also up in theMinneapolis-St.
Paul area.

(02:49):
They've had some showersearlier.
It will be improving.
West Coast showing Los Angelesand San Diego fine.
The rain has ended in SanFrancisco for a while.
Another frontal system's movingin.
They call that an atmosphericriver.
Atmospheric rivers start at theequator and go up to the poles
or at least into the northernlatitudes.
It's basically about 300 mileswide and about a thousand miles

(03:11):
long.
And many times they call it onthe West Coast, the Pineapple
Express that goes from uh theHawaiian Islands right to the
Pacific Northwest, where it'sraining today.
And it's basically moisturealoft, the river of moistures.
That's why they call it anatmospheric river.
Pineapple Express is bringingmore rainy weather to the
Pacific Northwest for today, tonight, maybe even tomorrow as

(03:32):
well.
Maybe a little break as we headinto the weekend.
I've been your bodies, StevePelletier, and I am the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Talk to you first thing onFriday.
See you then.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
