Today Alexandra dives into the importance of healing past grief and trauma in order to truly face grief in the present. Certain blocks can arise when dealing with grief that can cause us all to end up stuck. When this happens, it is important to evaluate what might be causing these blocks and hurdles. Alexandra shares a process she created to really start to look at a variety of aspects in wellness including physical, nutritional, emotional, mental, spiritual and cellular. It is also important to look at the 4 S’s that Dr. Dan Siegel discusses that we all need as we are growing up- to be seen, soothed, secure and safe. The 4 S’s are important for healthy attachment. Combining an understanding of what we need as children for healthy attachment with an understanding of how messages we have received along the way helps us to understand what limiting core beliefs we have. This creates an opportunity to identify what might be blocking our current grief process.
