Hello, everyone! This is Brighde, your host from The World Vegan Travel Podcast, and I've got some news to share.

Over the last 18 months, I've been bringing you weekly episodes, exploring the world of vegan travel together. In my recent episodes, I shared the amazing experiences from our group tour to Thailand and you will have noticed that they were not interview podcasts. That’s because I've encountered a challenge. Upon returning home, I found myself surrounded by the not-so-soothing sounds of construction near my house—a bridge being built, complete with noisy piling work. Unfortunately, this isn't an ideal environment for recording our usual interview-style podcasts.

I reached out to the construction company, and they informed me that this symphony of construction sounds will continue until the end of January 24. Despite having several interviews lined up before our Alsace trip in the first week of December, I've had to reschedule them until after the construction concludes. Additionally, Seb and I are gearing up for travel from February to April, heading to Australia to see family and Japan running our trip. Typically, I'd have a bank of podcasts ready for you during my absence, but this time, due to the construction noise as soon as I got back, I have none.

Balancing interviews across different time zones is challenging and I usually keep all day Friday open for podcast recording so as to accommodate those different time zones, and I've spent the last two weeks since returning from Thailand trying to figure out a cost-effective solution. I researched a coworking space but I would need my own office which was not cost effective at all and it’s hard with equipment lugging that there, booking spots and then having to reschedule or cancel last minute should my guest not be able to attend for some reason.

Seb and I brainstormed ideas like creating compilation episodes or rebroadcasting some classics. While these could work for a couple of weeks, these ideas are not sustainable for several months.

So, unfortunately, I haven't found a way to continue with weekly podcasts for now.

I'm genuinely disappointed because I know consistency is key in podcasting, and I've enjoyed the momentum we've built together.

So, what am I going to do?

I plan to relaunch the podcast for weekly episodes around April or May 2024, once the construction chaos has settled, and I've accumulated a stash of interviews ready to go. In the meantime, I might drop a few one-off episodes sharing some exciting travel experiences Seb and I have either personal travel, or with our groups or research for our tours—think Prague, Alsace in December, Japan, and Queensland, Australia.

Remember to set a reminder to check for new weekly episodes in May, make sure you're notified when a new episode is launched on your podcast catcher and make sure you're on our mailing list for updates on the podcast's return. Your support means the world to me, and I can't wait to be back in your earbuds, sharing more vegan travel goodness sometime in the second quarter of 2024.

Until then, safe and happy travels, my wonderful listeners! Thanks for understanding, and I'll catch you on the flip side.
