unsolicited dad jokes.

(00:21):
certificate from his residencyfor an award of being most
likely to be found at the gym.

Dr. Amayo (00:28):
Hi, this is Dr.
Amayo I just finished my psychresidency and now I am currently
a C/L fellow.

Thanh (00:34):
Our co-hosts.
Just won a psychiatry faculty ofthe year award.
He's blushing over there rightnow, but I can say that he is
the only attending.
That went up on stage and youcould see a patient list still
hanging out from his backpocket.
Talk about dedication.

Dr. Handratta (00:51):
My name is Dr.
Venkatesh Handratta I did myfellowship from Georgetown
University in consultation andliaison, psychiatry.

Thanh (00:58):
And then we have our assistant producer student
doctor Edmund.
I just want to say his littlehidden talent is that he's quite
humble about a lot of his skills

Edmund (01:06):
Hi everyone.
My name is Edmund and I'm afourth year medical student,
and, I am hoping to one day belike these wonderful hosts as a
future psychiatrist.

Thanh (01:17):
And then there's me, the executive producer, the guy who
decided on the background musictoday.
I'm a first year childadolescent psychiatry fellow.
Uh, my name is to Wynn.
Some of my child patients calledme Dr.
Gyan.
So why do we think that thispodcast is important?

Dr. Amayo (01:31):
There's not a lot of podcasts or information or
textbooks out there that deals alot with

Edmund (01:36):
the ways that attending psychiatrists think about
different issues

Dr. Handratta (01:40):
And it can also be actually used by attending
psychiatrists.

Dr. Amayo (01:44):
I think the reason behind this podcast, is to
answer those questions that I'vealways had issues with since
medical school.
Why we do a lot of things inpsychiatry or why a lot of our
medications work

Thanh (01:56):
we need this because the further and further out we get
from a learning environment, Themore of those, PRITE neurons
atrophy

Dr. Handratta (02:02):
this podcast was created for education purpose.

Dr. Amayo (02:05):
but I think it definitely gives a good
framework of how to one, understand your patients,
understand our therapies, andbasically just understand
psychiatry.

Edmund (02:14):
As a medical student I would definitely recommend this
podcast for any medical studentor trainee looking to understand
a little bit more aboutpsychiatry

Dr. Amayo (02:24):
And I think this is the first step in me
understanding and hopefully ourlisteners understand a lot of
the why in psychiatry.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
