Zen chats with guitarist / vocalist Kyle Edissi, guitarist Jonah Kay, and bassist Steve Rowlands of the Melodic Thrash Metal band Invicta.

Hailing from Kitchener, Ontario, the Canadian thrashers discuss the development and gear used for recording their second full-length album, Triumph and Torment, set for release in March. Inspired by the unleashed storytelling potential of comic books, the band discusses how they write songs to feel like soundtracks to otherworldly realms - which they credit as guiding them to their niche in the real-world metal scene.  So far the results have been fantastic; the band share the unconventional story of how they managed to first meet Heathen - and how the mutually beneficial relationship with the legendary Bay Area thrashers has blossomed into next month's upcoming East Coast tour.
