Speaker 1 (00:19):
welcome back to t3.
I'm your host, mr you.
We are in mock draft season andwe're still doing NFL mock
drafts.
Today's draft team will be theNew Orleans Saints.
Where do I begin?
Their knees allegedly are widereceiver, cornerback and
defensive line man.
They need so much more thanthat, but guess what?

(00:42):
They're hamstrung.
They have probably the mostdead money in the entire league.
Their cap is over $55 million,so they're over the cap and the
cap is humongous right now.
And they're over the cap.
So they're actively trying torestructure at least five
contracts that I read so far.

(01:03):
Right now they have the bottomhalf of the league in total
offense points per game.
They struggled, they started theseason.
Derek Carr was like a worldbeater in the first few games
and then, all of a sudden, something just happened in the
roof.
Well, I said the bottom fellout on the team and they just
started to look really, reallybad.

(01:23):
Uh, they had some bright spotshere in there, I would say
offensively, but honestly, things look really rough and
they need a lot of help.
They don't have the money toget that help, so they're trying
to get some, uh, big players,so to speak, on their lines and
especially on on the d line.
A lot of guys are returningthat are steady influences there

(01:46):
.
Brandon Cooks is back in NewOrleans, so that's going to
definitely help out Derek CarrRight now.
This is what it's all about.
Carr's in his last season andall that money is front-loaded
and it's just sitting there.
That's why they're trying tostruggle to restructure it.
But Chris Lovett should be back.
Healthy Bub means to be backinghim up.
Rashid Shaheed should be there.

(02:07):
Shorten is going to be a deepthreat for the most part last
year, so he's going to needOlave Cooks and Shaheed to help
him out a lot.
Those guys are offensivelytalented, so that shouldn't be a
problem.
The O-line situation they'regoing to need a lot of
protection there to keep Carrupright.
That hasn't been the case forhim recently.

(02:28):
Kamara should be back.
Kendrick Miller should bebacking him up again.
But on top of that, thedefensive line outside of Cam
Jordan and Tyron Matthew andJustin Reed.
It looks pretty rough.
I guess I can include DemarioDavis in there too.
He's definitely a longtimeveteran.
He knows what he's doing.
But beside that it was prettyrough.

(02:49):
So I want to try to go ahead andget into helping this team out.
It's not a pretty picture, butI'm going to do my best to try
to help this team get some winstoday.
So we're going to help out theNew Orleans Saints.
We're going three rounds onthis one and see if we can help

(03:09):
them do some knees at widereceiver, d-line and cornerback.
Honestly, if I can find arunning back to kind of replace
Kendrick Miller backing upKamara to keep him healthy, I
think I would do that.
But we'll see where it lands.
They're picking at nine withtheir first pick.
I'm not taking any of thesenonsense trades today.

(03:30):
We don't have time for that.
So I'm looking at how we canreally help these guys out.
I'm not enthusiastic about theO-line.
I know that that's not whatthey're posting as a need, but I
feel like it would help Carr, because the more that Carr stays
upright, the better off thisteam is going to be.
So I recognize it in an accentfor that.

(03:51):
But I'm going to try to helphim out anyway.
We'll look at guard first.
This is a reach as far asspacing goes and we are going to
pick again until 40.
I'm going to see if we can movesome folks around.

(04:12):
I'm going to take Membo here.
This guy's a stud.
He's a right tackle, so maybe Ishouldn't take him.
He.
He looks decent as a one blockin pass protector.
Now I'm starting to have somedoubts the more I see here.
You know what?
Let's get carl some help.

(04:34):
Uh, at wire receiver.
I know that he is, but I feelas though we got room to kind of
expand this and I don't knowthat we're set at wide receiver.
Ted McMillan is sitting here.
We're going to go ahead andtake him.
Big wide receiver, about 6'4".
He's definitely going to get50-50 balls every single time.

(04:58):
He's a stud.
There's some issues there thatI think people talk about, but
he has great hands, great body, great frame.
He's not going to getout-muscled by anybody out there
, especially anybody that's inthe secondary.
I think it helped Derek Carr outa lot and put some other guys
like Cooks and Shahid and Olavhere on alert.
They got a potential number onewide receiver on the team and

(05:21):
they're going to have to fightfor their time.
That's a good problem for DerekCarr to have, because he needs
all the weapons on the fieldthat he can get, get a ball out
of his hands quickly and getthat ball into somebody's hand
that can help the team outbecause right now they're not
looking good projection-wise andwho knows where they're going
to finish in the division goodprojection-wise, and who knows
where they're going to finish inthe division.
But offense is going toprobably be where they put all
of their chips because of DerekCarr's contract and where they

(05:45):
are as a franchise.
So we got some wide receiverhelp, which is good.
I want to try to look at eitherD-line or cornerback.
So let's get out of offense andlook at defense.
Ooh, a zero cool sitting rightthere.
But they don't really need that.
But oh, wow, that's a, that's a.
He's gonna be hard.
Oh, he's gonna be really hardto pass up.

(06:06):
Wow, um, um, and I'm pickingagain until 71.
We got four picks in the threein three rounds, which is really
good.
Uh, can't pass on this guy.
I mean, he just got his sack.
Production is something that Ithink the saints don't really
seem to be sitting on, that kindof uh ability.

(06:28):
Uh, cam jordan's awesome man.
But beside that, I think a zerocool will help this team and
help the defense and get theball back in car's hands on
offense.
So, so we're going to go withthat.
I know we're going outside ofthe knees, but that's what I do
sometimes.
I see things that sometimes wedon't hear him talk about and
I'm going to go ahead and helphim.
So this is what we're doing.

(06:49):
So at this point I got two picksleft 71-93.
I want to try to get them somehelp in secondary.
So Darian Porter I know alittle bit about him.

(07:10):
I kind of feel like he's theguy.
He has the height, he has thespeed, he has ball skills, he's
great at tracking the ball.
No problem there.
I think it could just be anissue of does he have the
physical ability as far as?

(07:32):
Does he mind hitting and takinghits?
Let's take a chance on him.
Darren Port out of Iowa State.
Got one more pick left Beforewe shut down the Saints.
I think they're doing prettygood so far.
Take me a million to Arizona atnine.
Ezekiel out of Boston College Ireally like him a lot.
Darian Porter Out of Iowa Statelet's see how we can help these

(07:59):
guys.
Let's see if we can help themout on offense.
I'm really trying to find arunning back for these guys.
Oh, I didn't think about thisbecause I know that derrick car
is in his last year and, honestly, the chances of them.
Bringing Derek Carr back on anew contract are almost slim to

(08:21):
none, and Spencer Rattler is theguy that's left behind there.
But honestly, do you view himas the guy that's going to take
over this offense and lead theSaints to where they ideally
want to be?
I don't really feel that kindof confidence.
So I'm going to try to helpthis team in any way possible.

(08:45):
We know that tight end is aconcern too a little bit for me.
Jawan Johnson is the number oneright now and Taysom Hill kind
of plugs in.
But I feel as though TaysomHill he's kind of one of those
guys that he helps out indifferent areas, but right now
he's injured.
Let's take Mason Taylor here.
I mean, he's great at the rungame and the pass game.

(09:07):
High IQ.
He has the size you want.
He has the athleticism you want.
We're going to take him.
Help Derek Carr out.
He needs all the weapons he canget.
So we got Ted McMillan atnumber nine out of Arizona
Sticks four Just a wide receiver, extraordinary prototype of
what you want.
Yuzuru Koo a dressing machineout of Boston College.

(09:28):
Darian Porter solid quarterback, he's a ball hawker, he's a
ball hawk.
If that's what you want, that'swho they're going to need on
their defense because of thestrength of the front seven.
And then Mason Taylor is goingto give Derek Carr so much
needed help at tight end.
Help balance out who they gotgoing on with Jawan Johnson and

(09:51):
when takes him here he's healthyand comes back.
But let me know what you thinkabout this mock draft for the
New Orleans Saints.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
