We're deep into NFL free agency, and the New York Giants appear to be struggling to attract talent despite being in what should be the mecca of professional sports. The situation raises serious questions about the team's leadership and direction.

• Multiple offensive linemen like Ben Bredesen, Braden Smith, and Evan Brown have signed elsewhere despite Giants' O-line needs
• Aaron Rodgers reportedly hasn't responded to Giants' interest, suggesting the team isn't a priority destination
• Russell Wilson and Justin Fields represent potential quarterback options as the market narrows
• Giants competing with Jets, Vikings, Seahawks and Colts for dwindling QB options
• Team's inability to attract talent suggests deeper issues with current front office leadership
• Today could be either "a great day" or "doomsday" for the franchise depending on quarterback decisions

Speaker 1 (00:20):
What's up everybody?
We are in free agency.
12 o'clock is supposed to bewhen most of the decisions are
going to be made.
We're already at 1240 pm on theEastern Standard Time on the
East Coast.
Forgive the somber tone of thisvideo, but you have to
understand my perspective.

(00:40):
But let's get into what's goingon actually right now.
There's so many things.
Over the weekend, we know joshallen signed a huge extension,
so he's definitely going to be abill, probably for the
remainder of his career.
A lot of guys are still on themarket, but there's so many
little subtle moves that aretaking place that really got me
concerned.
One of the things that nobody'stalking about really are a lot

(01:03):
of the o-line guys that arebeing picked up and re-signed.
We thought they might get freefrom the teams.
Guys like Ben Bredesen with theTampa Bay Bucs Wasn't sure he
was going to stay, but he was anunrestricted free agent and the
Bucs brought him back on athree-year deal.
Just a little small thing likethat, especially when you have a
team like my team, the New Yorkfootball giants, who need help

(01:24):
on their line and some low-costoptions, would have been a great
move for Joe Shane to takeadvantage of Guys like Braden
Smith with the Colts.
He restructured his contract sohe can stay with them.
Evan Brown re-signed with theCardinals on a two-year deal.
We were looking at JonathanAllen.
He's been a big name on themarket for us.

(01:46):
He spent some time in Minnesotawith the Vikings.
They got a couple of guys onthe interior D-line Jonathan
Bullitt and Jerry Tillery aboutto be free agents.
You know Minnesota's probablynot letting him out of the
building without signing him.
That was a big target that wehad for a free agency.
Hassan Redick a lot of strugglesand issues in New York with the

(02:10):
Jets Just signed over the Bucsfor a one-year deal.
So there's little things likethis that are going on.
The guys are even jailing morefrom the Chiefs.
Offensive tackle I was thinkingabout him two-year deal.
So he's staying with the Chiefsor he's going to the Chiefs
from the Niners had some goodstuff going on in San Francisco,
had a few starts that he didn'tmake, but he only allowed one

(02:34):
sack, no penalties and 271 snaps.
I mean these are the kind ofguys that you want to bring on
your team if you can help it,and we have a lot of needs and
now all these guys are going inlow cost.
I don't know if they're eventalking to the Giants or the
Giants are even talking to them,or, even worse, they may all
have the word on the street thatthe Giants is not a place for

(02:55):
you to land because they don'ttrust management.
That's going to lead me to therest of the whole free agency
picture, because I feel likethis is what we're faced with.
This is what's going on.
I would try to see if we can golive, uh, almost every day this
week, uh, monday, tuesday andwednesday for sure.
Just give you some updates onall the free agency stuff.

(03:15):
Let's jump into what people wantto actually hear about the
whole quarterback situation.
I can't even go on other showsor do it collab without somebody
asking about what the Giantscan do at quarterback, and you
know what.
It's a legit argument.
We got needs at cornerback forsure.
Dj Reed and Charles VariousWalls are guys that I think
would be a big help to our team.

(03:36):
Of course, a right guard, willFreeze from the Colts and Tevin
Jenkins are names that are beingtossed around in free agency A
lot of the things that we needon our roster, but obviously
quarterback is the biggest deal, and right now the spotlight is
on us as a franchise, it's onJoe Shane as a GM, and it feels
like people don't want to comeand play in New York, which is

(03:59):
supposed to be the mecca ofprofessional sports.
They don't want to come thereand play.
What we're hearing right now isthat Aaron Rodgers was supposed
to be coming to us in some talksand now I'm hearing this
morning, when I woke up to this, that the Giants are waiting for
Rodgers to respond.
Don't forget who Aaron Rodgershas thrown himself to be.

(04:20):
If we're waiting for him torespond or waiting for him to
make a decision, then we're.
I don't like our chances.
He's probably shopping himselfaround, and you know what?
Why wouldn't he?
Yeah, he's 41 years old, almost42.
But he's shopping himselfaround because why not?
People are in need ofquarterbacks and he can provide
some help there.
As soon as we went live on thisepisode or on this video, I got

(04:46):
a message saying that AaronWatson is close to signing with
the Steelers, which is somethingthat was kicked around a little
bit on national radio thismorning.
So I heard some of that, buthonestly, I wasn't sure it was
going to happen.
I thought that Russell Wilsonhaving some rapport with DK
Metcalf in the past, they wouldkeep him on.
Dk Metcalf in the past theywould keep him on.

(05:08):
So if that seemed to be thecase, then it looks as though if
that happens and Rodgers doessign with the Steelers, that's
going to put both Fields andRussell Wilson likely on the
street.
We know there's been some rumorsabout Justin Fields going to
the Jets.
There's been some interestthere on both sides.
I can see that Athleticquarterback.

(05:30):
He can really help out.
Guys like Garrett Wilson andBrees Hall yeah, I get it.
It makes a lot of sense.
Where's the lead?
Russell Wilson?
Well, because Geno went to theRaiders, that kind of leaves him
out of the picture.
I think I don't see him goingand saying watch it with Geno
Smith after they're about togive him an extension.
I don't see him going on a sameroster with Geno Smith after
they're about to give him anextension.

(05:51):
If they haven't done thatalready, they're going to give
Geno at least a long-term deal.
I guess that's two, three years, something like that I heard.
So that leaves who's left outhere?
You got guys like JameisWinston are still left out here.
Justin Fields if he doesn't goto the Jets.
He's still going to be out hereavailable.
We're still hearing DanielJones' name.
I'm like, oh my God, we can'tescape this man.

(06:11):
His name is still being bandiedabout.
It looks as though he may begoing to the Colts or there's
some interest there for that.
He's definitely not coming backto the Giants.
There's no room for that in ourlife.
In my dreams we're hearing thatSam Darnold is probably going
to the Seahawks.
It's hard to imagine thatSeattle let Geno Smith walk out

(06:31):
of there and they didn't have abackup plan in place.
So I'm thinking that they'regoing to be going after Sam
Darnold to kind of help out withtheir number one wide receiver,
jackson Smith-Njigba and someof their young talent.
So that looks like it's goingto be a lot there.
Everybody thought Rodgers wasgoing to the Vikings, but what
does that mean?

(06:52):
Well, if Rodgers does not, hesigns with the Steelers, as is
being speculated right now.
What that means is that theVikings are going to be looking
for a quarterback in free agency, the Jets are looking for a
quarterback in free agency, theSeahawks are looking for a
quarterback in free agency, theSeahawks are looking for a

(07:13):
quarterback in free agency, andI would say the Colts now, just
because of what's going on.
Look at what's happening.
They don't trust AnthonyRichardson, so they are looking
for a quarterback as well.
What does that mean for theGiants?
This is where the stress iscoming in.
It doesn't seem like we're toppriority for either Rodgers or
Wilson.
I think there's still a chancenow that Wilson may be pressed

(07:33):
to do something if Rodgersdoesn't come to the Steelers
because he's not going to be onthe same team with Aaron Rodgers
.
I don't see that happening.
I don't think Justin Fields isgoing to want to do that either.
So that may give us a chance toget one of those guys, either
Wilson or Fields, which is idealconsidering the options that
are left.
James Wilson can potentially bea bridge, but we can get

(07:55):
Rodgers Sorry, if you can getScooby, if we can get Wilson or
Fields, we definitely want to dothat.
But it just seemed to be afeeling that people don't want
to come and play for the Giantsjust because of the uncertainty
in the leadership.
And you know what?
It's something that we can'twant to come and play for the
Giants just because of theuncertainty in the leadership,
and you know what?
It's something that we can'treally deny.
It's factual.
Even all of our fan base isuncertain about the leadership.

(08:17):
We don't know what they'regoing to do.
We don't know if they canrecruit players to come and play
in New York, which, again, isthe mecca.
People should want to playthere, but for some reason
they're not coming.
I think that all points to JoeShane and the current Giants
leadership.
So today could be a great day wekeep you guys informed as we
know more.
But today could be a great dayfor the Giants.

(08:39):
We may get a quarterback thatwe need and it gives us leverage
in a draft.
We can get who we want to bethe rookie quarterback for the
future, but we'll have somebodyplaying for us in 2025, leading
this team, or today could bedoomsday for the Giants
franchise.
We'll get into it.
I'll keep you updated.
I'll post as many videos as Ican, but thanks for listening
