Speaker 1 (00:02):
You are listening to.
This Is Some Crazy Shit.
With Sharon Hamner.
This podcast is for you if youare tired of living day to day
feeling unfulfilled, you arefrustrated and you are doing too
much with no return.
This is for you if you areready to take charge of your
life, if you are ready to let goof managing other people's
(00:23):
insecurities and theirexpectations and live life your
way.
Here we have dope conversationsabout saving yourself, so we
can get off these street cornersand stop waiting for Captain
Saviour Ho.
You ready?
Let's go, because this is somecrazy shit.
I know that part of yourfrustration is because you want
(00:49):
something that you feel that youcan't get right now.
You have been tired becauseyour dream, your goal, your
visions they seem what somebodymight call ridiculous, that
(01:13):
they're just too big.
There is something that you areresponsible for that that's a
big deal and you are out ofalignment with it, and that's
(01:36):
what's causing you to feel alone, sad and depressed.
I would like for you to knowthat your goal is not ridiculous
.
You just need more focus.
One of the things that can helpyou is by stop talking to the
(02:01):
wrong people.
I used to come up with allkinds of ideas and all kinds of
dreams, and the first person Iwould go and run and tell them
to was my mom.
It took me a little while, butthen I started putting two and
two together.
(02:21):
I realized every time I wouldwalk away from one of those
conversations I felt frustratedbecause she would always ask me
well, how are you going to dothat?
How much is it going to cost?
Her reaction was not one that Ireally wanted.
(02:44):
I wanted to go to her with theidea and be celebrated for my
idea, but instead I was met withdespair and negativity about
how it's possible that I may notbe able to get that done.
At that point, when I made theconnection, I assigned my mom to
(03:10):
be a visitor at my pity parties.
I decided that I would nolonger share the ideas that I
was thinking of, but I wouldcall my mom if I was feeling bad
and I wanted somebody to joinin on the pity.
That's who I called.
(03:31):
That's who I called my mom.
I began to just share with herthe things that I was doing once
I had the ball rolling on themor once the assignment was
completed, and I remember my mombeing so proud of me when I had
(03:57):
my first book signing and itjust happened to be in my
hometown.
I was going for a visit and mybooks arrived the day before I
was going on home.
So I decided, oh, what a bettertime to have my first book
(04:17):
signing in my hometown.
So I talked with one of myfriends who had a business in
the area.
We set it up, created flyersand to hear my mom just be
excited when she was telling herfriends about what I was doing,
that really warmed my heart.
(04:37):
So be careful who you're sharing.
Your dreams to.
Your goals are not ridiculousat all.
The challenges that we have isthat we're seeing the big
picture of the goal, and one ofthe things that can help you
(04:57):
when it's a formula that Iincorporate when I am goal
setting is take the biggerpicture and break it down into
bite-sized pieces and makeactionable steps.
So if you have a dream ofopening a business, then you
(05:20):
would write down your goal ofokay, I want to open this shop
by whatever date it is that youhave, and then go through and
write out a list of steps thatyou need to take to make things
happen every day and every week, and when you have daily and
(05:42):
weekly goals that you can focuson.
It's like taking a bite out ofan element, one bite at a time,
and you will begin to haveprogress by just taking the one
step and when you start havingprogress, that boosts your
confidence and it keeps youfocused on one thing to do at a
(06:07):
time and that's going to helpyou to create your goal.
To make it.
Creating an inner dialogue withyourself is so important that
the conversation with yourselfis one that supports you on
(06:30):
where you're going.
I would challenge you to createsome type of mantra that you
say to yourself every morningthat acknowledge what you're
going to do, because you havebeen gifted the gifts to make
(06:50):
this thing happen.
Everything is already inside ofyou.
It is our job to focus on whatthose gifts are and how we're
going to bring them to the world.
It's so important for you tofeel good about yourself versus
(07:14):
having outside people feelinggood about you, because your
opinion of you is the onlyopinion that matters.
So having this daily mantra isgoing to help you to stay
focused on your goals and youropportunity, and one of the
(07:36):
things that I like to do iscreate magic behind the mantra
and the tone so that it reallyreally gets into your cells and
the energy behind it is good.
Everything out in this world isa frequency and a vibe, and we
(07:57):
have to vibe, check ourselves asto what type of energy we're
putting out, what type of energywe're listening to.
And with the mantra, one of thethings that you can do is to
set the tone and set the energyby being excited.
(08:17):
When you're reading it, whenyou're saying it out loud,
clapping your hands while you'rerepeating it and dancing to it,
making a rhythm.
Everything seems crazy and itseems silly.
You just probably just want todo this in the privacy of your
bathroom and don't let nobodyknow that you're doing these
(08:41):
type of things, but it's reallyreally going to help create and
make an impact on what it isthat you're creating, just by
getting on a certain frequencyof the things that you desire.
So I'm here to tell you yourgoals are not ridiculous.
Everything is possible.
(09:03):
Everything is possible.
You just got to stopoverthinking and take bite-sized
steps and bite-sized piecesevery single day, step by step,
to making your dream and yourgoals a reality.
