Speaker 1 (00:02):
You are listening to.
This Is Some Crazy Shit.
With Sharon Hamner.
This podcast is for you if youare tired of living day to day
feeling unfulfilled, you arefrustrated and you are doing too
much with no return.
This is for you if you areready to take charge of your
life, if you are ready to let goof managing other people's

(00:23):
insecurities and theirexpectations and live life your
way.
Here we have dope conversationsabout saving yourself, so we
can get off these street cornersand stop waiting for Captain
Saviour Ho.
You ready?
Let's go, because this is somecrazy shit.
My life truly began to startchanging more rapidly when I

(00:49):
began to have more focus andattention on the things that I
desired and focusing on myselfand not really caring about what
was going on around me.
Every day, we are so bombardedwith other people's motives and

(01:13):
everybody has an agenda.
We have an agenda being pushedon the news towards us.
We have your momma's agendas, your kids agendas.
Everybody wants all of theirneeds satisfied by you and they
are looking to you and most ofthe times, we are putting

(01:33):
ourself on a back burner and wehaven't thought about ourselves
until it's over, to the day it'sover.
Meanwhile, everybody's gottenso much out of you of that day
and when I began to have focusand attention on the things that

(01:56):
I wanted and my life began tochange very fast.
One of the greatest lessons thatmy father gave me is to keep
your eye on the bar.
I remember when I was young andhe was taking me out into the

(02:17):
baseball field to learn how toplay baseball.
Even though I love sportsbaseball, it really wasn't my
thing, but it was his thing.
He played well into an adult onhis banking league.
I would go out there and hangout with him, and I also got a
chance to play softball when thesoftball players were doing

(02:43):
their own things and my trackcoach, who was a softball coach,
asked me to fill in for them.
So I used this skill then andthe greatest lesson was when
catching the ball was to keepyour eye on the ball.
When you take your eye off ofthe ball, you begin to lose

(03:05):
focus, and during weighttraining I realized there is a
mind and body connection thathappens, where you can connect
your mind to your muscle andwhatever your mind tells your
muscle to do, it will actuallydo that.
So when you have a focus on theball, you're automatically

(03:26):
going to reach your hand out andput it in the right position
for you to catch it.
And the same thing happens whenwe have goals and have our
intentions focused on one singlething.
We can't help but to have ithappen.

(03:47):
We can have what we wanted tohappen or attract something
better, and we use this type ofthing all the time but we don't
realize that we're using it, andespecially like when we're
having these emotionalrollercoasters of doubt and

(04:13):
limitations.
It is a conversation that is onrepeat and rewind in our minds
and we are constantly focusingon that thing and the
conversation is lingering andlingering and lingering.
And if we can cut off thatconversation, then we can begin

(04:35):
to know what we want and do theopposite thing and create what
we want.
Like, a lot of times we hearthe word law of attraction and
we're like oh yes, I have to putthat in my life.
I have to put that in my life, but we're operating in that all
the time.
We just don't really know thatwe're doing it because we're

(04:57):
doing it unconsciously.
So if we are more intentionalabout the things that we say,
the things that we do, we cancreate a different outcome.
I know, for me when I wasmeditating on a negative

(05:23):
thoughts, it was like man, asnowball effect, because I would
find myself I would be drivingdown the highway just thinking
about some bad stuff and once Ifinished with that bad thought,
here come another bad thoughtnegativity and I'm driving like

(05:46):
20 minutes to work, at least inAtlanta traffic.
So it was a snowball effect ofall these negative thoughts, one
after one, and so you canimagine how I felt once I got to
work Felt negative, and then Ihave to go into work and deal
with these negative people.

(06:07):
So negativity just kept comingand coming because I attracted
that to myself.
And now I have more of aroutine where I am waking up in
the morning, where I programmyself on the intention that I

(06:30):
wanna have for the day.
I program myself of okay, thisis what we're gonna get done
today, say very nice things tomyself, make compliments to
myself and pat myself on theback, and that sets the tone for
what I want to achieve.
And, miraculously, now that Ido that and I'm writing to work,

(06:56):
I have different conversationsin my mind and the law of
attraction that happens is I getto work and my first customer
start asking me about somethingthat I thought about on the way
to work.
The second customer starts theconversation about what I was

(07:21):
having.
Like it's just really amazinghow you can literally program
your life, but we just beenprogramming it in the wrong way.
So that's why your focus is sovery important.
Every single day, and whenyou're working on your goals,

(07:49):
though, the greatest thing thatyou can do is to make a decision
.
A lot of times, we want a lotof things in life, and it's kind
of a pie in the sky type offeeling, but we haven't really
made a decision that, okay, thisis what we actually want and

(08:14):
we're going to go out and getthis.
We just keep hoping and prayingthat, oh well, maybe by chance
this will happen, because, ofcourse, the Lord is going to
hear your prayers and that's allyou got to do.
But no, you have to do more thanjust pray.
You have to get focused, make adecision, believe and take

(08:37):
action every single day and keepthe faith that is going to
happen For you, versus justallowing life to continue to
happen to us.
End.
Decision is not a great placeto be in, because when you're in

(09:02):
decision, nothing is happeningand you're being bombarded by
other people's.
You have to be focused on yourthoughts, your intentions on
social media, and then you hearsomebody say blah, blah, blah,

(09:24):
and then you're like, oh well, maybe that's for me.
I need to do that.
No, you need to be doing theother thing, because this is
what you want and the decisionthat you make will help you,
help lead you to the things thatyou need to have something new

(09:47):
in your life.
So staying focused is acommitment that you have to make
to yourself on a daily basis, and having focus is a commitment
that you have to remindyourself on an hourly basis

(10:11):
sometime, because things goingto be coming left and right,
left and right, and it's okayfor you to say no to something
if it's not aligned with what itis that you want to do and what

(10:32):
your goal is, and stayingfocused on a daily basis is
going to help you do that.
So what I want to encourage youto do is, as you're getting
focused, is to write down yourgoal.
Write it down, put it on anindex card and have it with you

(10:58):
every single day.
Put it in your wallet, take itout and look at what it is that
you're supposed to be focused onmultiple times during the day
and start creating the life thatyou desire.
I look forward to seeing you inthese social media streets.
