You were never meant to follow someone else’s blueprint for your life.

So you can stop googling “how to find your purpose” now, ok?

There’s no ONE way. No perfect mould, no “right” path. Not your mum’s. Not your pastor’s. Not your “guru’s”. Not even that spiritually enlightened TikToker who swears this medicine ceremony is the key to everything.

Your path? It’s yours. Full stop.

Or maybe I’m wrong— but YOU get to decide.

So what does it look like to REclaim your power?

Well, I know one thing for sure: it involves you stopping the outsourcing of your knowing, tuning into what your body and intuition are whispering (or screaming), and walking your own damn spiritual journey—even when it’s messy, nonlinear, and nothing like what you were told it should be.

I (as per our agreement 😛) will keep sharing my own twists and turns—including the moments I forget and accidentally hand over my power—and how I come back home to my truth.

Because lady… what if your purpose was never out there?

What if it’s been in you all along?

Enquire here to work with me 1:1, in a space where your truth is celebrated and your power is returned back to you—because your way is the only way that matters to me.

Want to work together? I’d LOVE that! Enquire HERE

(00:00):
RIP it down and remind you that you're magic.
You're gone. You get to choose your purpose.
You get to believe whatever you want.
It doesn't matter how much you pay somebody.
They're not God, they're not a guru.
They don't have all the answers. They can't give you purpose.
You have to choose it. Hi, I'm Veronica Jane,

(00:28):
embodiment empowerment and relationship coach, and This is
This Isn't Me podcast. I wonder if you've ever found
yourself in a moment where you look at your life and realize
this isn't me and you're ready for the next version of
yourself. That's what This Isn't Me
podcast is all about letting go of the past and stepping into
the future you desire and deserve.

(00:49):
This Isn't me anymore. Welcome to another episode of
This Isn't Me podcast. I am Veronica Jane.
How are you like, how are you really?
What are you doing here in life,in this thing, in this game, in

(01:10):
this experience, in the now? Just light, like breezy Monday
morning questions, right? Well, the reason I want to ask
you this is because I've been asking myself this a lot lately,
and you heard me talk a lot about identity lately.
And I want to share some really real stuff for me about where I

(01:32):
was looking to create my identity from, who I was using
to define myself, and maybe whatthe purpose is of all this,
whatever this is. Because I forgot some things I
learned and I'm remembering themagain.
And I want you to find your own remembering in your way.

(01:55):
Because you get that I don't have all the answers, right?
Nobody does. No teacher, no guru, no mentor,
no leader knows it all, All justhuman.
And I feel really lucky that I grew up through so many
different life experiences. I grew up as a Christian and

(02:16):
then converted, I guess, to atheism and came back to
agnostic and spiritual or whatever that is.
And what that's helped me see isthat everyone's just looking for
something. We're all just looking for
meaning. And the Christians have found it
and the atheists have found it, the spiritualists have found it,

(02:39):
or they haven't. And everyone's just looking for
something to believe in for a purpose, for a reason, for
significance, for certainty. And some people are really good
at creating it for themselves, really good at choosing A belief

(03:00):
and believing it so fully. They don't remember what it was
like to not believe it. It becomes the truth, and that's
pretty comfortable. But I was a Christian.
It felt great. It felt great to have this thing
outside of me, who had the wholeplan, who knew it all.

(03:21):
It was taking care of me, who wanted to make it all work out.
Yeah, it was cozy there for a while.
For quite a while, until it wasn't.
And then when I was an atheist, this beautiful, grand chaos gave
me so much freedom. I can't fuck it up, That's all.

(03:44):
Just natural selection, evolution, it's just going to
keep evolving and that's perfect.
There's no purpose. I just do what I want.
And what I've been exploring lately is all the ways I've been
looking to put my power outside of myself, to believe in

(04:06):
something again, to have something that matters and to
share it with you, to help you find something that matters for
you. And for a while, I was looking
outside of myself. All these different people.
I looked for my yoga teacher to know all the answers.

(04:29):
I looked for energy workers to know all the answers and share
them with me. Give me the magic.
I looked for training, facilitators, mindset coaches,
everyone else. Tell me what I don't know.
Show me what it is that I'm supposed to be doing.

(04:51):
Give me a reason. Give me a purpose.
Before that, I looked for the church to do that and then
Dawkins to do that. And you know, none of these
people are God. None of these people have all
the answers. Neither do I for you.

(05:12):
You do, and you have to choose them.
And that's what I'm realizing. And it kind of sucks.
Like for a minute more than a minute, it sucked.
It sucked realizing there's no one out there who knows it all.
There's no right way. There's no the answer.
There's no the way or the path or the formula or the program or

(05:37):
the 10 steps or the like. There isn't.
No one knows it all and there's no one way.
There's just life. There's just now.
And you know, that had me questioning why I do what I do
and if I should be doing what I do.

(05:57):
Do I know anything? And I know what I do know is
that we all have lived experience.
I've lived a lot, we all gain tools and resources along the
way, and I've gathered a lot andI feel so grateful to know some

(06:21):
things that can help a lot of people.
And I have to keep believing in that.
The women that come to me and share with me the impact that I
make remind me of that. The changes they've made in
their lives because of the freedom, the sovereignty,
because of the embodied trauma they've been able to leave
behind, because of the present experience that I support them

(06:43):
to have, that changes their embodied picture of the past,
the way they feel about some pretty gross things that have
occurred for them. That's the magic, I guess, that
I can offer that you could offertoo.
We all have love inside of us. We all have the ability to be

(07:03):
present with someone, to have them deeply felt in a moment, to
have them go back to their core wound, their deepest belief, and
perceive it in a new way with you.
That's love, that's magic, and that's what I get to do.

(07:28):
And that's why days where I feellike I don't fucking know, I
don't know, like don't look to me to to save you.
Don't look to anyone to save you.
Stop going outside of yourself, stop looking at them or that
book or her, and just go play life, go play, go love, go be

(07:54):
loved. That's it.
Choose what you want to believe. If it makes you happy and it
brings joy, if there's trust in it, it feels honest and
authentic for you, Go live it. Go live it because you get to

(08:18):
choose what you believe in. You get to choose and your
belief is what will guide you. You know, I'm not going to sow
you access to the Akasha or channel for you because that's
not my experience of reality. I think all those things, and

(08:38):
I've looked to all those things at different points.
I'm not going to read your horoscope or tell you your gene
key or your human design becauseI think they're all just
prospectus frames, lenses that people can use to look at
themselves, to experience themselves in the now.
And maybe they're a tool that will help you.
And maybe they'll just tell you something about yourself that

(09:01):
then you'll believe that you don't want to be true, that
doesn't have to be true, that you could choose differently.
Maybe you'll just trap yourself in a judgement or an ideology.
It's not helping you enjoy life happy.
You love helping you play. You get to decide life is based

(09:25):
on what you want to believe, what you want to experience in
the now, a bit sniffily, becausethis is quite an emotional
experience for me right now because this is so real for me
as I evolved so many identities so quickly, I start to question
like, what's the point? Like what's the point?

(09:46):
I've been spending a lot of timethinking, what's the point?
Looking at what's the point feeling, What's the point?
And I let myself fully feel that, you know, for all of you
who hate this like toxic positivity shit, it's a choice.
It's a choice to believe that you get to be happy and you get
to have what you want and you get to decide what that is.

(10:08):
And I've been experimenting withthat for myself.
And what's the point in overcontemplating that?
Got to remember, remember, pardon the congestion.
Got to remember that. I decide, and every moment I
decide what's the point? What's the purpose?
I decide. And how do I want to be happy

(10:32):
now? That's different than six months
ago. Six years from now, what do I
want now? And I get to fuck with that.
And for me, the point is to love, to love as many people as
I can. And unlike some people who are

(10:55):
keeping the curtain there, pretending they have the answers
and inviting you behind it, I want to RIP the curtain down,
you know, like RIP it down and remind you that you're magic,
you're gone. You get to choose your purpose.
You get to believe whatever you want.
It doesn't matter how much you pay somebody, they're not gone.

(11:18):
They're not a guru. They don't have all the answers.
They can't give you purpose. You have to choose it.
I can't give you magic. You have to tune into what that
is for you, inside of you. I can't tell you your future or
your design. You have to decide.

(11:40):
And if any of those tools, if any of those beliefs serve you
along the way, go get it, sis. Let them be a step on your
journey to finding your own divinity.
It's the best word I have for it.
You're here, being human. Do it, do it.
What's that look like for you? Stop hiding from the hard things

(12:03):
that you want. Stop avoiding the risk and the
vulnerability. Yeah, I'm talking to myself as
well because life is to be lived, is to be shared.
You know, we get lost in these communities, in these churches,
in these cults, in these book clubs, in these sports networks,

(12:24):
in these associations, whatever your version of is, because they
bring us connection and community, and you get to have
that. So go choose your church, sis.
Go choose your church. It's football.
Some people's church, you know, hiking is some people's church.

(12:47):
And some people's church hurts them.
Yeah. And some people's church tells
them how to be and how to do it right.
And then some people's church just lets them have fun and
figure out what brings them joy and does it in a safe and
healthy and sustainable way. And so go find your church.
I'm figuring out what mine is now.

(13:08):
You know, again, outside of other people, instead of
pretending anyone has the answers, outside of paying
someone to access my truth, I want to decide.
And you know, I love to say sometimes it's 17 steps forward,
93 steps back, 110 steps forward, 6 steps back, like the

(13:31):
journey is, is just chaotic, sis.
So enjoy it because you're not really moving that back.
You've always got new tools and resources along the way.
You're always ahead in some form, right?
If you live and you learn, you're growing and that's what
counts. Stop comparing yourself to
yesterday. Stop comparing yourself to them,

(13:54):
to her, to him. Just look at where you want to
go and go there and change your mind as many times as you want.
Stop comparing yourself to the perfect version of yourself.
Maybe yesterday is an OK bar to use to see you've grown a little

(14:15):
last year. I've grown.
I've got new tools, new resources, new knowledge, new
skills, new awareness. We are all perfect.
Neither is she, neither is he, neither are they, you know,
stepping into this self development world, coaching,
mentoring, being a teacher of somany forms had made me realize

(14:37):
like it's this dance of recognizing I know things I can
help and I don't know everythingand that some people need to be
reminded, hey, stop looking at me for all the answers.
They're in you. Maybe I can help you tune into
what that is. You decide that your sovereignty
is so important, you connecting to what you want and your truth

(15:01):
is what I want to help you do. And some people, I think want
you to do it their way and want you to keep giving them money to
do what they think is important. What they believe is love, what
they believe is truth. And I've watched that in lots of
spaces. But I hope that anywhere that

(15:24):
you're getting love, it's available without you paying and
it's available without you doingin a particular way, that
someone is taking an investment that you're making in yourself
and leaving you more sovereign, more trusting of yourself.
Leaving you finding the answers in you, leaving you with skills

(15:47):
and resources that remind you you don't need them anymore.
You never did, except to show you that it was all in you and
that the love keeps coming without you having to do in a
particular way fit a particular mould.
You get to do you and you shouldbe loved exactly as you are,

(16:12):
held in the complexity of all your emotions rather than
invalidated into thinking it's all in the mind.
Sure, it's in your mind and yourbody and it's real for you.
And what being felt and seen in that is what will bring you back
to really being here now. And so I'm going to keep

(16:32):
learning, and I hope you will too.
Love and compassion will keep being what I aim to come back
to. And when I get lost and I mess
up, I'm going to tell you and I'm going to tell me.
And I'm going to keep ripping back the curtain to show you.
There's no secrets. It's just continual learning and

(16:57):
growth. The smoke in the mirrors.
They just get your attention andthen come back here and look,
Everyone's being human, figuringit out.
Everyone. Yeah, him too.
Her too. Them too.
And they fuck it up and they're learning and they're sharing the

(17:21):
best they know how. So I hope in whatever you do,
it's to find you. It's to find your truth, to
figure out what this is, this being on Earth, being a human
thing, what it is for you. Go find that for you.

(17:44):
