Ben (00:07):
welcome to this startup is being recorded.
This recording is improvisedfiction.
Similarities between it and thereal world are entirely
intentional.
Now enjoy the recording.

Kate (00:23):
uh, all right.
And recording is on.
Hey, everybody happy 20, 22.

Matt (00:29):
We'll come back.
We'll come back.

Kate (00:31):
I know.
I feel like I haven't seen youguys in weeks and weeks and
weeks.
Um,

Matt (00:37):
It's been a little bit.
Yeah.

Eric (00:38):
Yeah.

Kate (00:39):
our first official recording of the new year.
Ah, sorry.
Okay.
So everyone listening, uh, Johnis still obviously in Bermuda.
Um, so he won't be here and yetThea also is on a holiday.
That's what she said.
Um, that's all she said.
And, but I just wanted to usethis since not everyone's back

(01:02):
to do like kind of odds andends.
We have a ton of follow-ups I'mrealizing, uh, that we haven't
gone back to.
But for anyone listening, we'reum, we're Metta market for now
still kind of for formerly knownas about a market.
It's a little bit of a gray

Matt (01:19):
I mean the PA the paperwork, the lawyers are still
crunching on it and, uh,California's team is still
crunching on it.
So I hope I forgot when she getsback from holiday, but we're
going to start needing thosenames sooner rather than.

Kate (01:31):
Yeah.
It's getting, it's gettingdifficult to write things.
But anyway, uh, we are a couchmarketplace company that, you
know, really ultimately will beshaping the future of trade, uh,
to give everyone a morecomfortable seat at the table.
I am Kate Banchett.
I am the chief of staff to John, our CEO.

(01:51):
Um, and frankly, I, I missedthis place.
I mean, it feels like I neverleft in some ways, but I also, I
missed it.

Eric (02:01):
did you leave?

Matt (02:02):
yeah.
Did you end up going on a actualvacation?

Kate (02:06):
Um, sort of, uh, I found out that there's a break room in
the basement of this building.
Um, and I just never knew thatbefore.
And it felt like a whole newadventure.
I brought my passport.
Um, there was no one to show itto, but to me that helped me get
the feeling I was traveling.

Matt (02:25):
wow.
Um, but you, but you were herein the building

Kate (02:31):
Yes,

Matt (02:32):
over,

Kate (02:33):
though, there is like a separate room you can access
through like a tunnel.
So I don't know if you wouldtechnically consider that part
of the building or not, but

Matt (02:40):
Oh,

Kate (02:43):
Anyway, uh, introduce yourselves and maybe say what
you've been up to the last week.

Eric (02:49):
Yeah.

Matt (02:50):
Um, yeah,

Eric (02:51):
go ahead.
Go ahead.
Okay.
Um, yeah.
Uh, Eric, uh, Joyce Carter, chief of product had product,
uh, and yeah, spent, uh, thelast couple of weeks on the open
sea doing some, some diving, some fishing, uh, just some
soaking in the sunlight as wehurdle around the, the solar

(03:12):
system, once more, superexciting, uh, really pumped to
get back.
Think about some long-termstuff.
Um, we'll talk about that whenwe get into all the odds and
ends, but feeling refreshed

Matt (03:23):
Uh, I'll go.
Um, my name is matt.yachts.
That is also my website and I amthe CTO here at the company
currently known as Metta market.
Um, for the last couple ofweeks, I, um, I don't want to
get too into it.
Um, Disney vacation planned.

(03:43):
Um, that's not a hundred percentwhat happened?
Um, uh, this neither here northere.
Um, and my partner and I arestill kind of hashing it out and
I know she watches sometimes.
So, um, we'll just, we'll leavethat there.
Um, but I am excited to be back.
I know that.

(04:04):
There were some members of myteam that decided to stick
through the break and continuewith a parameter parameterizing
out our, uh, our apps and, uh,backend code.
Cause, uh, we've gosh, we justhave met a market hard-coded in
a lot of places and, um,whatever the changes though,
we're going to be ready.

(04:25):
Uh, so there's, there's beenjust an awful lot of find
replacement.
And, uh, proud of them and I'mproud, proud of what we
accomplished last year, despitea lot of just really
intimidating obstacles.
And, um, yeah, I mean, obviouslyI'll save a lot of this for, for
the bigger meetings coming upsince we're doing odds and ends

(04:46):
until more people are back.

Kate (04:48):
right.
Yeah.
I did notice some of your teamwas here.
I couldn't really figure out whoit was.
There was a lot of blockeddoors, honestly.
And, um,

Matt (04:57):
Yeah.
Well,

Kate (04:58):
modulation, but

Matt (05:01):
uh, well, lock doors is not too surprising.
I mean, we do a lot of ourserver stuff in-house so, um,
you know, there's accesscontrols to, uh, not just the
server cages themselves, butalso the main server room and a
lot of the corridors, uh, in andaround that.
Um, I did have, uh, something Iwanted to ask your advice on

(05:24):
specifically, Kate.
With, with respect to, uh, theroster of who was on call, um,
over the break.
Yeah, I, um, so if I understoodit right, uh, there were five
people, uh, on my roster here.
Let me just pull this up.

(05:44):
Um, who, um, let's see, RachelPeegrum, uh, we have, uh, Ray
Trello, Raymond.
Uh, I've got, uh, Uh, Michelle,uh, have y'all met Michelle
she's she's kinda new.
Um, she's

Kate (06:05):
Oh, she had the really like, really specific
requirements around which dayshe got paid something like only
prime numbers.

Matt (06:14):
yeah, she likes to do these beds.
Um,

Eric (06:18):
Uh,

Matt (06:18):
I'm kind of supportive because it's, you know, it keeps
her invested.
Like she's more of a problemsolver.
Uh, anyway, Michelle Palasky,uh, then we have, uh, Ronald,
Ronald Peegrum, uh, no relationto Rachel and, um, yeah.
And, uh, just, oh, just RP.

(06:39):
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure who that is.
Actually.

Eric (06:42):
I don't recognize a couple of those.

Matt (06:45):
Yeah, no looking, actually looking at my.
Log, uh, these shifts wereclaimed under the names of
Rachel Peegrum, Ray P shell PRP, grim, and, and then just RP.
Uh, then, uh, yeah, the thing Iwanted to ask you about is I
noticed when payroll went out,uh, after the break, um, Rachel

(07:11):
P rim pulled down a lot of over.
Uh, and, and looking back at thetime cards, um, it looks like
maybe this is just a timecardsnafu, but like Rachel was the
one clocking in and clocking outfor pretty much all of those
shifts, which I think was, wasgoing to go to five different
people.
So, um,

Kate (07:33):
uh, timecard snafu.
I,

Matt (07:37):
maybe.

Kate (07:38):
I just, I mean, not to say that I couldn't make a mistake,
but I mean, I've iteratedthrough that time card.
Often, you know, I do my owntime cards.
I have fake time cards that Itest on, on weekends evenings.
Um, I have a few alternate, Ihave a few alternate, you know,
fake employees that I use tolike test time cards, but how

(08:02):
could she get around the system?
Well, is that what you'resaying?

Matt (08:07):
Well, gosh, I don't know, like reading back over these.
I mean, I have heard Rachel tellpeople to call her Ray.
Uh, I've heard her on the phone,uh, having someone refer to her
as shell.
Um, and of course just herinitials are, uh, RP, grim and

(08:31):
RP.
It's possible.
And let me check my email.
I did send out mail to the otheremployees to make sure they got,
you know, paid for they'reclocking in, uh, I haven't
actually looked at that.
Okay.
Okay.

Kate (08:47):
we don't have email addresses for most of those
people.

Matt (08:50):
Uh, what we got let's see Michelle.
So she was on vacation, um,

Kate (08:57):
Yeah.

Matt (08:58):
approved that.
I did approve that.
Yeah.
Um, okay.

Kate (09:04):
I saw her Instagram.
She was on vacation.

Matt (09:07):
And Raymond, um, oh, right.
Yeah.
Raymond was at home, uh, lookingafter his folks.

Kate (09:16):
Oh, they're so sweet.

Matt (09:18):
They are.
Yeah.
Um, oh, they sent a card in thisemail.
That's very.

Kate (09:24):
I mean, total separate topic, but I think this year we
might want to revivegrandparents day.
Um, that was so fun.
I just raised folks areadorable.

Matt (09:38):
um, okay.
I think I'm starting to get apicture here.
Um, and I, I think Rachel usedthe ambiguity of the signup list
to make it look like multiplepeople would be covering call.
And then she just did it inorder to get the overtime

Kate (09:57):
or, or she did it maybe because she didn't have
somewhere to go home forChristmas.
Or, you know, maybe she waswaiting in the office for a
serendipitous holiday event tohappen and change her life.

Matt (10:13):
you Kate mentioned, uh, something about hearing someone
moving around in the it space.
A voice changer in use.
Um, do you notice any otheractivity out of the ordinary

Kate (10:28):
Um, Most of the snacks were taken out of the S the
snack places, uh, refrigeratorcabinets, you know, snack
places.
Um, but then I also saw most ofthe snacks just unwrapped and
thrown back into the trash.
Um,

Matt (10:49):
like not, not eaten just a, the food thrown away.

Kate (10:53):
some of them have little nipples taken out of them.
Wait is, is Rachel the one thathas like quite a menagerie of
animals?

Matt (11:12):
on her desk.
Yeah.

Kate (11:16):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I really that policy where weallowed people to keep pets on
their desks is interesting.

Matt (11:23):
Wait, live, handle.

Kate (11:26):
Yeah.

Matt (11:27):
Oh, I was referring to her collection of, of glass and
stuffed animals.
Uh, some of those are likepretty good collectors items.
She's got several really hard tofind beanie babies from back in
the day.
I didn't, yeah, I've never seenher there with live animals.
Um, although if she was justhanging out here by herself,

(11:50):
there's a chance.
Well this, um, I mean, so I'mnot sure what to do about this.
Kate, is this like adisciplinary issue or.

Kate (12:02):
well, we have it written into our contracts that you can
bring pets to work.
Um, and we don't restrict thoseby species.
Cause I think that would be veryunfair.
Um, whole like, oh yeah, goahead.

Eric (12:18):
I mean, I don't know about you, but a lot of this sounds
like pretty unusual behavior.
Maybe we should just have one ofus, you know, do a one-on-one
and see if everything's okay.
Maybe we can

Matt (12:30):
Yeah.
I mean, I think I need to have asit down with Rachel no matter
what, and just kind of see, like, if everything's okay.
Um, mostly like I'm justinterested in the transparency,
that said I got no complaintsabout the work.
Uh, every, every PagerDutynotification that went off was
answered within moments.

(12:50):
Uh,

Eric (12:51):
very clean.

Matt (12:51):
yeah, she did get work.

Kate (12:53):
I just, uh, when you have the, one-on-one just keep in
mind that it's, it's definitelya job seekers market right now.
So don't do anything that mightlike get her angry, you know, if
she needs more, more concessionsat work, like we can always come
up with something.
Um, Let's, let's keep rolling onthese odds and ends.

Matt (13:14):
Yeah.
Sorry.
That was a, that was supposed tobe a smaller.

Eric (13:16):
quick one for me.
Um, is you mentioned the.
The name changed, still being upin the air and Matt, uh, the
great work from the team.
Parameterizing the code.
Um, those two things are stillkind of, uh, some gaps in where
we're going to be for roadmapplanning.
So I reshuffled, uh, our yearlyroadmap planning meetings a
little bit.
We're going to start with the 20year roadmap next week.

(13:37):
Cause we kind of assumeeverything washes out in the
noise there.
And we got all the reports fromgovernment bodies and the, you
know, the climate change officeand stuff to like inform the
long-term.
We're going to push thequarterly roadmap two weeks.
Um, judge, hopefully we'll getsome more information from the
lawyers on how much we'reactually going to have to
change.
Uh, and some more info from theend, the team on, you know,

(14:01):
brand name, colors, et cetera, and how much, how big of an
impact that's going to be.
So you should all see that onthe calendars.

Kate (14:09):
Cool.
Um, remind me again, how was theclimate change report affects
our roadmap.

Eric (14:15):
Well, I mean, w we're trying to predict how efficient
our computing systems are goingto be, and that's going to have
a lot to do with the, you know, processing and availability of
rare earth minerals.
Um, right now you want to knowrecycling programs.
It's not clear how, how goodthat's going to be in 20 years.
So

Matt (14:33):
Yeah.
And, uh, as the ambienttemperatures rise, it's, uh,
going to be more expensive tocool a data center.
So you're going to see datacenters migrating further north
and further south, uh, away fromthe equator.
Uh, also, you know, running awayfrom rising sea levels.
So excited, excited for thatmeeting.

Kate (14:51):
Yeah, it feels like we just had it, but we'll

Matt (14:55):
Oh, I mean there's.
Yeah.
And there's, there's a lot ofdetailed to dive into these are,
we're talking high level stuffnow.
Um, Eric, I've been watchingalong some of those, uh, Google
docs and

Eric (15:06):
Oh good.

Matt (15:07):
in areas it's mind twisting.
So I'm really glad you got goodmodeling folks on.

Eric (15:12):
Yeah.
We're really real, like havingsome technical people with, uh,
with that experience.
So.
Uh, great, great working withsome of the people on the front
end team on that too.
I feel like they've, they'verisen to the challenge of, of
taking on some new stuff.
So I appreciate that.

Matt (15:27):
oh yeah.
I mean, they love this kind oflike a two 50 stuff, you know,
like data

Eric (15:32):
Data visualization.

Matt (15:33):
It's there.

Eric (15:33):
Yeah.
Yup.

Kate (15:36):
excellent.
Okay, well, uh, also Calvin andCarter, uh, are having another
baby.

Matt (15:46):
the, uh, covenant Carter, the investors.

Kate (15:49):
Yeah.
Yeah.
They are in their temporaryhousing.
Um, building up models torebuild.
Um, they're going to add anextra bedroom for BB number
three and yeah, I don't know.
I'm just so excited because Iget paid per child.

Matt (16:08):
Oh, do you?

Eric (16:09):
Oh,

Kate (16:10):
Yeah,

Matt (16:11):
Wow.
I still can't believe that youbabysit for the investors that,
that feels like too much, youknow, but then again, you're,
you're Kate.
You do too much.

Kate (16:21):
it just, it brings so much joy to my life.
Also extra income.
So.

Matt (16:26):
Yeah.
Uh, just, um, you know, betweenus, I mean, I guess in the, the
streamers, but, um, is there anyword on the investigation into
their, uh, the fire in theirprevious home?

Kate (16:40):
no, I mean, at this point, uh, it's pretty tightly pinned
on flakes, uh, by Jorge and Idon't know, they're kind of
accepting that that's it.
And I mean, with every box ofcereal you buy for flakes with
Jorge, there was an extremelylong like form you have to sign
to exempt, uh, floats from orhay from any potential home

(17:03):
damage.
So, yeah, they're a little outof luck, but, uh, also really
rich.

Matt (17:11):
Yeah, that's good.
Well, it's weird.
Um, the, I saw, I don't, I don'tknow if y'all follow.
Flakes by Jorge had a tweet thatwhere they actually like claimed
credit for this, which I thoughtwas a really bold brand move.

Eric (17:28):
Yeah, I was going to mention it and I.
I kind of pushed it out of myhead, but I've read a, a blind
item in the Washington postabout some, some papers that
came out.
I think it was like the park offpapers.
Um, let me see this.
It was, you know, some, someuncovered, uh, spy program, um,

(17:49):
documents that were leaked andthere was a mention of, uh,
connections.
Yeah, Silicon valley investors, the verge picked it up.
Um, nothing really seemed tocome out of it, but, um,

Matt (18:04):
Yeah.
I mean, that could be anybody

Eric (18:05):
could be anybody, right?

Matt (18:07):
because there just because when you were babysitting, you
heard their kid talking abouttheir friend party.

Eric (18:12):
Yeah.

Kate (18:13):
that's probably a really common Soviet.

Eric (18:17):
I mean, it's not Karpov, but it's close.

Kate (18:21):
It's close.

Matt (18:22):
um, well, um, related, but not related.
Let's let's say, um, I have anupdate on, uh, Des Moines.
Um, the.

Kate (18:33):
ah,

Matt (18:34):
Yes, the, this sort of, um, zombie data center that we
had there, that we were havingsome, uh, some real issues, uh,
getting closure on.
Um, Chelsea informs me that, uh,we're all good there.
Um, it took some, some doing, but a developer recently
purchased a whole chunk of thatsubdivision and they're going to

(18:57):
be building a super targetthere.
Uh, and, um, from what Iunderstand it.
Uh, it's already been leveled.
So, uh, and I can confirm the,you know, no pink packets, uh,
data center, a hundred percentoffline.
Um, so any backups we had thereare couplets.

Kate (19:18):
Amazing there.
That's a really fast movingdeveloper.

Matt (19:23):
Yeah.
Um, Chelsea really kind ofunderstands the socio-political
situations in de Moines.
Um, Which reminds me.
And I know we're, uh, waitingfor an update on this, but, um,
I want to understand more aboutwhat happened with the, uh, the

(19:43):
couch mayoral campaign that wehad running.

Kate (19:47):
Yes.
Yes.
Um, I will find an update onthat.

Matt (19:54):
great.
Thanks.
Yeah.
Chelsea was pretty cagey aboutit.
She didn't want to give medetails, but that's like, she's
like a former seal, soeverything's need to know with
her.

Kate (20:03):
Yeah.
I mean, it's just, it'sdifficult to give an update
because I think it's gotten to apoint in Iowa a lot that really
hasn't ever happened before.
Um, so there's just like a lotof interpretation happening, uh,
and it seems like no one issatisfied.

Eric (20:21):
is it going to get, is it going to keep going up the court
system?
You think

Kate (20:26):
it seems so

Eric (20:29):
a boy.

Kate (20:31):
yeah, it's a little bit problematic that we not only
brand the couch under our brand, but you know, we, as a corporate
identity, we're essentiallyrunning.
So, I mean, there, there is achance, uh, for us to make it to
the Supreme court, but you know, you know, these things work.
It's a couple of.

Matt (20:49):
Well, you know, this is, this is what happens.
The citizens United pretty muchguaranteed that something like
this will be done if it's, if itwasn't us, it would be somebody
else.

Eric (20:58):
Yep.

Kate (20:59):
Yeah,

Eric (21:00):
And we'll, we'll be, we'll be good with it.
We'll we'll.
Do wrong with our mayoral power.

Matt (21:07):
Yeah.
I mean, you know, not, not what,uh, assuming we actually get,
get the spot.

Eric (21:12):
Yeah.

Kate (21:13):
Yeah., Matt, I did want to ask if you were still using the
screaming room for your Peloton,uh,

Matt (21:20):
Oh yeah.
Uh it's um, it should be backtomorrow.
I had a shipped with me onvacation and.

Eric (21:26):
oh my God.

Matt (21:28):
Yeah.

Eric (21:29):
You're going to, you're going to keep using it.

Kate (21:30):
yeah.

Matt (21:32):
Yeah.
Why?

Eric (21:36):
You didn't, you.

Matt (21:38):
Uh, I didn't see what I mean.
Did, did y'all see, like I hit a52 week streak.
Um, I'm really sticking to it.
And, uh, this power zonesprogram I'm doing is like really
changing my endurance really.

Kate (21:53):
have to be careful you can't.
I what about your heart?

Matt (21:58):
Uh, what about it?
I mean, this kind ofcardiovascular exercise is
excellent for my heart.

Eric (22:06):
Yeah, but, but not always.
Didn't didn't you see?
Didn't see, he died a few weeksago

Kate (22:11):
Yeah.

Matt (22:12):
Sorry.

Eric (22:13):
on a Peloton, Mr.
Big,

Matt (22:16):
I don't know who that is.
Who's missing.

Kate (22:20):
what

Eric (22:20):
what do you not watch

Kate (22:22):
Carrie's husband

Matt (22:24):
like a Marvel character, right?
Mr.
Big.

Eric (22:26):
Um, Marvel character, no sex in the city.
New York.

Matt (22:31):
Oh,

Kate (22:32):
there's the revival happening?

Eric (22:34):
Yeah.

Matt (22:35):
got into sex in this.

Kate (22:38):
Well, that doesn't matter.
The point is that Mr.
Big died on his Peloton or as adirect result of it.
And it's just, we can't

Matt (22:50):
Remind me, Mr.
Big, you said is Carrie'shusband

Eric (22:53):
Carrie's husband after a long back and forth
relationship, powerfulinvestment banker eats steak
smokes, cigars, drinks, a lot ofred wine and crushes the
Peloton.
And,

Matt (23:06):
First three things sounded really bad for your heart.

Eric (23:09):
but he died on the

Matt (23:10):
drinks, smokes a lot and eats steak.

Kate (23:14):
It's and then, I mean, but how could, how could you keep
going after what it caused forCarrie?
You know,

Matt (23:23):
Uh, remind me, Carrie is she's the main character in that

Kate (23:27):
wife?
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's a sex columnist.
They almost didn't get marriedcause he didn't show up.
was rough and now he's dead andyou just keep riding the death
machine in our office.
Like, how do you think that'sgoing to make us.

Matt (23:44):
Sorry.
So the, the like long sufferinghusband of the main character of
a fictional TV show died, uh, ina, in a scene that was written
by fiction writers.
And you're worried about.

(24:04):
The Peloton bike in that scenecan kill people in real life.

Eric (24:10):
it could be anything.

Kate (24:11):
it's not worth the risk.

Matt (24:12):
That's that's not how it works.
I mean, any, any kind ofstrenuous exercise can put
strain on the heart.
Uh,

Kate (24:20):
What other

Matt (24:21):
is already in bad shape, I mean, does this, I hate to even
ask this, does this characterhave a history of heart trouble?

Eric (24:29):
yes,

Kate (24:30):
I mean, when it comes to love,

Eric (24:32):
does it?

Matt (24:34):
Have they, I mean, have they like had heart issues
before in the show?

Eric (24:39):
Again.
Yeah.

Kate (24:40):
he could never commit.

Matt (24:43):
Okay, listen, um, I, I can take if it, if it makes you feel
better, I can keep the Pelotonat home.
Okay.
Or, uh, make a corn for it in myoffice.
So nobody has to see me ridingit.
Uh, but I'm definitely.
Writing.
It's really good for you.
It's a great habit to be in ait's really smooth way to get an

(25:05):
aerobic workout.

Eric (25:08):
It at least at least have a tele-health appointment with
our, our insurance folks or

Matt (25:15):
Okay.
Yeah.
I mean it's new year.
I'm due for a doctor's checkupanyway.
Um,

Eric (25:21):
would, that would really help us.

Kate (25:23):
They have a series of EKG that they can do, um, for people
just for free it's part of ourpackage.

Eric (25:29):
oh, wow.

Matt (25:30):
Oh, that's pretty nice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I would love to do, I've neverdone a, like a, a stress test
like that before, so it soundsfun.
Wow.
Uh, I, I hope is this.
This is like a pretty commonfeeling like this thing happened
to a fictional TV character, andnow everybody's freaked out
about the real life exercises.

Kate (25:50):
Yeah.
Things that happen in TV have ahuge impact on, on reality.
So I mean, huge.

Matt (25:58):
okay.
Well, I'm sorry.
You were both worried about it.
Um, let me just assure you, it'sgoing to be fine and I will take
steps to prove that.

Kate (26:06):
Okay.
Okay.
Um, let's see.
Ya.
Okay.
Currently I have a couple otherquick things.
Um, oh, speaking of the petpolicy, um, I, my mantis shrimps
will be arriving tomorrow.
So if you see something new onmy desk, um, just don't worry,

(26:27):
but also don't eat them.

Matt (26:29):
Yeah.
Well, don't mess with them.
Right?
Mantis shrimps pack.

Eric (26:33):
Yeah.

Kate (26:34):
Yeah.
I just know now that Eric doesfishing.
So I guess I just want topreface Eric that if you ever
feel like fishing, um, any of myaquariums should, should not be,
uh, subject to your fishing.

Eric (26:47):
absolutely.
That won't, that won't be anissue

Kate (26:51):
Okay, great.
I mean, we just had that problemwith, with Paul last year and

Eric (26:56):
Oh, right.
That was bad.
That was bad.
That was, that was not verynice.

Kate (27:01):
I mean, granted people probably shouldn't have chickens
in the office anyway, but I alsothink when someone has a pet,
you shouldn't eat it.

Eric (27:07):
yeah, that's a, I shouldn't have to write that
into the policy, but we did.

Matt (27:12):
Yeah.

Eric (27:14):
Um, yeah.
Speaking of, of holiday gifts, Igot a new coffee machine, uh,
for my desk.
So if anybody wants to try that.
That's great.
If you want to have the team, put it on, uh, our, our login
system.
That's fine.
I think it supports that, butno, no, no pressure.
I'm happy to keep it off, offthe network.

(27:35):
If that's better.

Matt (27:36):
Yeah.
Well, that's fun.
Oh, I I'll bring in some roaststo try out

Eric (27:40):
Okay.
Yeah, that sounds

Matt (27:41):
have a, do you have a grinder to go with?
Okay.
Do you like it?
Cause I've cause I've got somesuggestions.

Eric (27:49):
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm

Matt (27:51):
Oh, sweet.
Okay.
Oh, nice.

Eric (27:53):
go along for the

Matt (27:53):
It's a, it's a, just a, it's a bird grinder, right?
That you have.
Oh man.
All right.
You're already out.
You're in good shape.
I don't.
All right.
I'm looking forward to this.
Okay.
That's

Kate (28:02):

one of those, um, they'd like touse one of our couches in uh
NTIs.
So

Eric (28:23):

Kate (28:25):
yeah, they didn't give details, but I mean, Any product
placement on TV as a goodproduct placement.

So I figured why not?
So we've got the docs in thelawyer's hands and, uh, CIS and
February's what's coming.

Matt (28:40):

She would probably be really.
Cause.
Cause what if, what ifcanonically did they really?
Because like, what ifcanonically bugs me and the NCI
S universe, like the Mettamarket and NCI universes, man.

Eric (29:23):
oh,

Kate (29:23):
yeah, they fortunately, um, I mean, bugs be, we've
already spun them out into itsown independent contractors, so,
um, yeah, he's alreadyconnecting with them, um, uh,
you know, via.
MI slash lawyers, but I figured, you know, no need to bother Thea
about this.
We'll just get bugs.
We signed up and, uh, all PR isgood PR.

It's going to be exciting.
It's such a, it's such an actionpacked show.
Uh, and I mean, just like, youknow, it's a team of really
well-meaning folks workingreally hard to catch just like
really hardened, violent folksand people who just like, they
are willing to do the most.
Uh, that's gonna be exciting tosee our couch on that.

Kate (30:15):
Well.
Uh, okay.
Well that was all the odds andends.
I had anyone have any.

Matt (30:21):
