René Fausto es Fundador y Director General de "Distribuciones e Importaciones del Pedregal", empresa pionera en México desde 1992 en blindaje arquitectónico y venta de materiales balísticos. En julio de 2017, junto con otros empresarios del ramo, fundó el Consejo Nacional de la Industria Balística AC. Desde esa organización, ha participado como Presidente de la Comisión de Blindaje Arquitectónico, ha sido Presidente de la Comisión Ética y Justicia y, actualmente, funge como Presidente de la Comisión Ejecutiva.
