Voice of Yoga.
Welcome to the Institute for Personal
Development, Kriya Yoga Ashram, where
Total Consciousness is the new frontier.
Kriya Yoga is union of the
individual with the Divine.

(00:22):
Join us as we explore the practices to
initiate this process.
Good morning, welcome to The Voice of
Yoga, Let's Talk Consciousness.
I am your hostess, Lisa Winton, and with
me is Kenny Toy, also known as Swami
Jayananda, founder of the Institute for
Personal Development, located here in

(00:43):
Hampton, New Hampshire.
Good morning, Swami.
Thank you for being here today.
How are you?
Good morning.
I'm doing pretty good today.
How about you?
I'm doing great today too.
Thanks for asking.
And we'd like to thank
you all for tuning in.
Today in The Voice of Yoga, we will talk
about the difference between human
conjecture and finite good
mistaken for Divine revelation.

(01:05):
In this episode, we will explore the
statement by Mary Baker Eddy found in
Christian Healing page 14, "You must
first mentally educate and develop the
Spiritual sense or perceptive faculty by
which one learns the metaphysical
treatment of disease."
Listen as we explain how to resolve a
physical body into a mental image capable

(01:26):
of receiving Divine inspiration.
Welcome to The Voice of Yoga.
We are talking consciousness.
Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to
get the light in your soul and be Divine.
Swami the title today's show is
Assessment for
Inspiration and Aspiration.
What can you tell us about this?

(01:47):
Well, I think about what Gilbert
Carpenter wrote about Mary Baker Eddy's
insistence on
inspiration and demonstration.
So today we'll look at the difference
between my will and Thy Will.
It's crucial to Know the Divine Principle
is power, the only power in the universe,

(02:11):
and everything else is a counterfeit of
this power, appearing through a false
belief in two powers instead of the One.
It's good to know the power of Spirit is
Perfection and as it says in Revelation
21:5, "I make all things new."

(02:34):
Learning the difference between human
conjecture and Divine inspiration can be
tricky if you have never
received Divine revelation.
I like what Mrs.
Eddy wrote in Science and
Health with Key to the Scriptures
and I'll read it.
"God is infinite, the only Life,

(02:56):
substance, Spirit, or Soul, the only
intelligence of the
universe including man.
Eye (that's E-Y-E) hath neither seen God
nor His image and likeness.
Neither God nor the perfect man can be
discerned by the material senses.

(03:19):
The individuality of Spirit or the
infinite is unknown and thus a knowledge
of it is left either to human conjecture
or to the revelation of divine Science."
End of quote.
So I think today what I want to focus on
is this idea in Revelation.
Looks like a lamb, speaks like a dragon.

(03:42):
We have to know the difference between
being influenced by mortal human thought
or Divine revelation.
And it's very important to know Spirit is
a demonstrable Principle.
It testifies with deeds, not words.

(04:02):
Swami, define for us what she means by
God nor the perfect man can be discerned
by the material senses?
Yeah, she's letting us know that we can't
bring forth the Divine
image with the mortal mind.
And so we have to learn
how to think differently.
And also we have to know ourselves in the

(04:25):
way that we are known by
the Creator, which is Spirit.
Eventually you come to the realization
that there is no mental-material world.
It is just an
appearance, a concept, a belief.
The only thing that is real is Spirit.
But as we will start

(04:45):
to see, it is a process.
As our thought shifts from a mental
-material basis to a Spiritual basis, we
start to shift from thinking with five
corporeal senses to Knowing
with seven Spiritual senses.

(05:06):
Swami in preparation
for today's episode.
I Googled definition of
inspiration in the Bible.
And here's what AI comes up with.
I'll read it.
"Inspiration refers to the belief that
the Holy Spirit superintended the writers
of Scripture, ensuring that their
writings are God's word, authoritative,
trustworthy, and free from error."

(05:28):
This means the Bible is not merely a
collection of good ideas or inspirational
stories, but rather God's words
communicated through human authors.
The concept is often linked
to the idea of God breathed."
And then I also
Googled aspiration as well.
And here's what AI had come up with.
"In the Bible, aspiration generally

(05:49):
refers to a strong desire or ambition to
achieve Spiritual goals
aligned with God's Will.
It's about pursuing a deeper relationship
with God, striving for holiness and
fulfilling one's Divine calling.
This aspiration is often seen as a work
of the Holy Spirit, motivating believers
to seek God's presence, understanding His

(06:10):
Will, and live
according to His commandments."
Swami what are your thoughts?
Yeah, for me, inspiration is what comes
directly from the Divine Mind.
And aspiration is the activity of the
Divine Will in the Christ.
Until we have developed the faculty which

(06:31):
enables Divine inspiration, we can work
with human conjecture and
a personal sense of right.
But don't be fooled by the outcomes.
With thought and belief,
finite bad can become finite good.
But it isn't the Truth.

(06:53):
Remember, except the Lord, build the
house, they labor in vain, that build it.
If we do anything with human will and
personal sense, it can be done for good
or for bad because we are under karmic
law, we are out of the Father's house.

(07:15):
It is not until we understand ourselves
to be Spirit, we understand the One, One
Life, One Being, and we have lost that
sense of separation
from the Divine Principle.
Rather than us forming thoughts and

(07:35):
opinions based on information coming
through our corporeal senses, we are now
making our mind an avenue of awareness
for the operation of the Divine Mind.
The Divine Mind doesn't work in duality,
it works in the Absolute.
Divine Mind is not a mix of good and bad,

(07:59):
it is Absolute Goodness.
And so when Divine Mind is doing its
thinking in your awareness, then the
outcome of course has the quality of the
Divine Principle which is Perfection,
Absolute Goodness without opposite.

(08:21):
We have a soundbite here from Herb
Fitch's Revelation of St.
John, Class 1B that we'll play.
And if anybody's interested in the full
audio file or the complete program, you
can get this at MysticalPrinciples.com.
Here it is.
There must be an easier way.
I can't accept myself to be Christ.

(08:43):
Show me a one-two-three way.
Show me a human way.
Tell me that I can read each night for an
hour, close my eyes, and that angels will
come to me, and in the morning
all that I want will be there.
The human mind continues in its own
conditioned concept of how the way ought
to be, and the Christ
says, "I am the way."
It brings you to a place where the word

(09:04):
revelation becomes meaningful to you.
Revelation is not
somebody talking inside you.
Revelation means to reveal that which is.
Only Christ can reveal that which is.
The revelation then becomes the
expression of God
through your Christ Self.

(09:26):
That is the living Word.
And that living word, that expression of
God in the Christ of you, is Revelation.
And then it reveals in this physical
manifest universe, the
fruits of Christhood.
And the human self of you becomes that
living fruit of Christhood.

(09:47):
The outer form and its conditions in this
world become the fruit of
the Christed Self within.
But if you let the tail wag the dog, if
you let this outer mind try to channel
and decide things for the inner Christ,
then you fall into the trap of all
mankind that is seeking
a holy grail out here.

(10:07):
Your authority is now revealed as Christ
within you, and you can either accept or
deny that authority.
We can return to our conventional ways.
We can settle for a degree of comfort in
a physical universe.
We all have that option.
That is not the path of those who elect
to live in the Christ.

(10:27):
And they go their way,
and many of them are happy.
Many of them are successful.
Many of them are comfortable and safe.
But the Christ message says that we do
not want that snare and
delusion for ourselves.
Because that is not Christ's safety,
Christ's success, Christ's comfort.
And it can be snatched away by the tides

(10:47):
of human circumstance.
It has no sustaining law.
It has no substance of the Father.
It is not a Spiritual fact.
It is a mental fact.
And anything that is a mental fact is
subject to the change of minds.
This world is a mental fact.
Revelation is the perception through soul

(11:08):
of the reality that underlies the mental
images of this world.
The Revelation then of Saint John is
going to bring forth that which underlies
the images of this world, which underlies
the conditions that today are called
pollution, overpopulation, famine,
poverty, war, violence, hate.

(11:29):
These are conditions of this world.
And right where they appear, as parts of
group consciousness, right where even the
weather appears, I in the midst of thee
stand in the permanent grace of the
kingdom of God on earth, invisible to
human sense, but always at hand.
And you who elect to accept the essence

(11:49):
of God, the Christ, as your substance and
the One Life as your life, you are
privileged to enter
that kingdom on earth now.
Walking behind the visible, behind the
appearances of war and desecration,
behind the violence and the racism,
behind the flowing of blood.
On earth in a
kingdom where there is peace?

(12:10):
Now.
Where there is safety?
Now.
Where there is health?
Now.
But don't try to walk in there as a
mortal being in a body of flesh.
You won't find the door.
You can only walk in there when you have
accepted yourself to be living Spirit.
And then I, the Spirit of you, will take
you into the kingdom of heaven on earth.

(12:30):
Now that is where we're going as a
servant of God, as one who is listening
through the soul to the Revelation of the
Eternal Christ as
expressing in the words of John.
Our destination is heaven on earth.
Our identity is son of the living father.
And our will is going to be chastened
until all personal concepts dissolve.

(12:53):
Until we find the Eternal Will of the
Infinite is the only
will to which we respond.
We will be walking in that rhythm of the
infinite, only as the Christ.
If we have accepted so far that Christ
within you is your authority, then you
are ready to be a faithful witness to
that Christ, faithful
servant to the Most High.

(13:14):
And this is how we will break the fetters
of a mortal life that must end.
And what you might practice is something
that I have found to be
valuable beyond words.
That which is not the
Life of God does not exist.
That which is not Spirit does not exist.
And it has no opposite.
It has no second life.
That which is not Spiritual Life,

(13:36):
Spiritual substance is non-life.
You have an opportunity to decide if you
are Life or non-life, if your neighbors
are Life or non-life, and you will
discover that when you know that Spirit
alone is Life, that all that is not
Spirit is non-life, then you will further
find that that which is
non-life is also non-power.
I really like what he says here, and I

(13:59):
like what it says in the Bible, "Ye are
dead, and your Life is
hid with Christ in God."
It's so important for us to understand
this idea of Christ, the saving aspect of
Truth, the interface, what makes the
Divine creation
comprehensive to human consciousness.

(14:20):
I also like what he said, "It is not a
Spiritual fact, it is a mental fact.
And anything that is a mental fact is
subject to the change of mind.
This world is a mental fact."
And Spirit is the
changeless state of Being.
So we have to shift our allegiance from

(14:43):
the form to the Life.
And then understand what that's going to
look like when you're actually doing it,
because it's very easy to shift from one
mortal mode of thinking to
another mortal mode of thinking.
There are three modes of mortal thought

(15:04):
that we must master before we walk reason
through the open door of Revelation.
We're going to pause out
here to hear from our sponsor.
Listeners, we'll be back
with you in just a few moments.
Kriya Yoga Asana Class is a module
fitting into the master plan, leading the

(15:25):
practitioner to the experience of Total
Consciousness by attuning the mind-body
complex to the Divine Idea.
A system of exercises designed to use the
physical appearance to determine
individual level of consciousness and
degree of awareness.
Starting with the process of lengthening
and strengthening muscles to bring bones

(15:45):
into the position of internal support.
We educate thought up to Spiritual
apprehension, because when Spirit is
cause, it calls into expression the
beauty of Holiness,
making creation Perfect.
Mountain Pose may not bring you Truth in
consciousness, but Truth in consciousness
must bring Mountain Pose.

(16:06):
Visit the website www.iptransform.com.
Namaste.
Welcome back.
For those of you who are just joining us,
you're listening to The Voice of Yoga and
we are talking consciousness.

(16:27):
Swami, before the break you had mentioned
the phrase of three modes of mortal
thought and hoping that you can just
review that for our listeners.
Yeah, we break it down using the zodiac,
Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
The mutable signs can be represented by

(16:50):
these modes of thinking.
Gemini is the lower mind.
It's animal magnetism, instinct,
appetite, preservation, and survival.
Virgo is the mid-mind, human
intelligence, perception,
reason, memory, intuition.
We have to develop mental faculties.

(17:10):
Sagittarius is the higher mind, which is
the collective consciousness world mind.
This is the dragon and
two beasts in Revelation.
Also, it is symbolized in the Bible as
born of woman, which would be the lower
mind, born of man, which would be Virgo,
and Sagittarius, born of Spirit, which

(17:33):
would then be Pisces, the twelfth house,
the operations of Divine Mind.
Swami, I'm going to read a verse from
Colossians 3:2 that can get us in the
right direction here.
"Set your affection on things above, not
on things on the earth."
What do you think about that?

(17:54):
I guess the key question here is, so how
do we develop the faculty
to receive Divine Revelation?
We can start with the scriptural request,
born of Spirit, or Kriya Yoga, or the
hero's journey, but we have to separate
from the original sin and
relink the form to the Life.

(18:16):
I like what Mrs.
Eddy taught Martha Wilcox, to be faithful
and orderly with the objects of sense, in
order to receive the deeper
things of the Divine Principle.
The progression in development, born of
woman, born of man, born of Spirit.
To work out salvation, graduation,

(18:39):
requires the
cultivation of mental functions.
Perception, reason, memory, intuition.
Overcome animal magnetism.
Separate from the pattern of the body.
Allay the fear.
Fear is the defense mechanism for the
false sense of self.

(18:59):
Then we develop human intelligence, and
all of this originates with separating
identity from being individualized by the
world mind and rejoining with the
invisible, intangible
Divine Omnipresence.
We literally have to rebirth the body in

(19:22):
a different substance.
And as we graduate from instinct, appetite,
to human intelligence, and we overcome
the world mind, then ready to walk reason
through the open door of revelation.
But if we don't develop the faculty that

(19:43):
enables us to receive Divine Revelation,
where we took this journey from sense to
Soul, then all we will be able to do is
work with human conjecture and belief in
the Divine Principle.
But our inspiration will
not graduate to demonstration.

(20:06):
Our aspirations will be human concepts,
theories, and beliefs, but
they won't be the Divine Will.
We have another sound by here from Herb
Fitch's class, Revelation of St.
John, class 3B, that I think we should
play for our listeners.
And if anybody is interested in the full

(20:26):
audio file or the complete program, you
can get this at MysticalPrinciples.com.
Thou has born and has patience, and for
my name's sake has
labored and has not fainted.
Christ in you will never faint.
Divine existence in you will stand there
no matter what the
false consciousness does.
Behind all that you do, sustaining you in

(20:48):
spite of your human
selfhood is your Divine Being.
And this is God the Father infinite
through Christ, recognizing that Christ
in you will never perish, revealing to
you that I can never
leave you or forsake thee.
Even when you deny my presence, I remain.
Why?
Because I am thee.
I can't leave myself.

(21:10):
Myself is yourself.
Myself is the self of your neighbor, and
you will discover that the Self that can
never leave you, which is your Self and
is the Self of all who walk the earth, is
the One invisible infinite Christ that
never changes, for it has the seven
candlesticks and the seven stars.

(21:32):
It alone has the total will and purpose
of the Father, and the wayward human
consciousness which has run off into its
own will, its own false ego, is merely
running away from all of the things
within itself that it can claim and
accept and enjoy while it is seeking

(21:52):
those things out there in a
nothingness that doesn't exist.
Your hypnosis is being revealed here as a
divided consciousness, the one which
knows not its own identity is Christ, and
the reality of you which is that Christ.
You see, we've covered this in our
earlier talk, but now we're putting it

(22:14):
together with the words of John.
Always the Father within you being
addressed by the infinite Father, God
speaking, Father God speaking to God's
Son, and we are privileged to listen to
this Divine
conversation within ourselves.
Nevertheless, I have somewhat against

(22:35):
thee, because thou
hast left thy first love.
Being Divine, your first love is to serve
the infinite Father.
That first love thou hast left, and this
is the revelation of the false
consciousness which is
strayed from serving the Father.
This is a flat statement that man on
earth is not doing the will of God.

(22:57):
Oh, we repeat it in
our little Bible chores.
We say, "Father, thy will be done," but
only the Divine Self of you
does the will of the Father.
Humanly, you cannot do the will of the
Father, and when you are not doing the
will of the Father, you
are in a separate will.
That is the way you dig your grave.
To do the will of the Father, you must be

(23:18):
Divine, and so you must accept your
divinity, for the will of the Father is
only done in divinity.
You can never cling to a human sense of
self and do the will of the Father.
You will be doing your concept of what
you think is the will of the Father.
You'll be running to your neighbor to do
a good deed, because you think that's the

(23:39):
Father's will, but you won't recognize
the Christ of your neighbor,
and that is the Father's will.
You'll see evil in the world and try to
make it good, and you'll think that's the
will of the Father, but it isn't.
The moment you have seen evil that must
be made good, you're
looking out of a human mind.
There is no evil in the kingdom of God,
and that's all there
is, is the kingdom of God.

(24:01):
People buy the Divine Self, which you
are, and where you have seen evil, it is
because you are in a
sense of a second self.
In your Divine Self, you will not accept
evil, because there is no evil in my
Father's kingdom where I am.
Now, if you're not in your Father's
kingdom now, then
you're not Divine, are you?

(24:21):
If you can't accept that you're in the
kingdom of God, then you're not Divine.
And so, if you're not Divine, you're out
of the law, out of the
protection of the law, what are you?
You know the answer.
You're a second self,
and there is no such thing.
We are now adjusting our consciousness to
recognize that the only
heaven there is is where I stand.

(24:42):
There's no future heaven.
There's heaven here and now, because I am
the Divine Self, and there's heaven here
and now, all over this universe, because
all that is on it is the Divine Self, and
I must dwell within myself to recognize,
realize, feel, know, accept that the
Divine Self being the only Self, this is

(25:04):
the heaven that men seek.
It is a now heaven.
It is a here heaven.
It is the only creation there is, and I
am in the midst of it.
It is I, and I am it.
I think it's so important that we
understand the difference between my will
and Thy Will, and we can't put an
Infinite Mind in a finite form, so we

(25:27):
must relocate from the form to the Life.
How to resolve a finite form into a
mental image capable of
receiving Divine Revelation.
First of all, we must rise and then stop
thinking with five corporeal senses and

(25:48):
begin Knowing with
seven Spiritual senses.
Remember the prodigal son, because we
must first separate from what is safe,
familiar, comfortable, and known, and
embark on the journey of the unknown
before we return to the Father's house.
In that parable, look at the resentment

(26:09):
and the anger of the son
that didn't leave home.
This is the guilt, the shame, anger,
resentment, blame, emptiness, and boredom
we all experience because we never
separated from the original sin.
We never separated from mother, from the

(26:29):
pattern that comes in with the belief in
a finite mortal being.
To understand Spirit is
Perfect, Whole, it has no need.
Until we initiate this developmental
process and we rebirth the body in

(26:49):
Spirit, we really never
separated from this pattern.
And so we're still working with the mind
that can't bring forth the Divine image,
and we think we're doing the Father's
work, the Will of God, and we're happy
with this orthodox religious concept.

(27:13):
As long as I'm a good human, I will get
my reward in the end.
And it doesn't work like that.
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
It is for us right here, right now, to
Know the Truth and to be that place where
the Divine Will is

(27:34):
functioning through us.
How would I know it if I was doing it?
I would be making all things new, healing
the sick, reforming sinner, raising the
dead, because that is the Father's Will.
The Father has no
interest in anything that dies.

(27:56):
Eternal Life is the Divine Principle, and
we must identify with that Life.
Swami, I have a verse here from
Philippians 3:14, I'll read it.
"I press toward the mark for the prize of
the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus" End of the verse.
I'd like to get your thoughts on that.

(28:19):
It is very important to aim for the
Christ and not Jesus.
Jesus is the manifestation of the Christ,
but the Christ is an Eternal Principle.
The Christ never left.
The Christ is the only Life there is.
And I really like this idea of the high

(28:40):
calling of God, because the lower waters
of sense and the upper waters of Spirit
become One when Divine
Truth is the only consciousness.
We lose the belief in the many and abide
in the One, in Oneness.
There's no opposition.

(29:02):
Nothing ever has to be
added to or taken away.
We rest in the knowledge and then let the
Lord build the house, because when Spirit
is cause, creation is Perfect.
