Voice of Yoga! Good morning, welcome to The Voice of
Yoga. Let's talk consciousness. I am your
hostess, Lisa Winton, and with me is Kenny
Toy, also known as Swami Jayananda,
founder of the Institute for Personal
Development, located here in Hampton, New
Hampshire. Good morning, Swami. Thank you
for being here today. How are you?
Good morning. I'm doing

(00:48):
very well today. How about you?
I'm doing great today, too. Thanks for
asking. And we'd like to thank you all
for tuning in. Today on The Voice of
Yoga, we will talk about the idea of the
kingdom of heaven is at hand, which means
we are standing on holy ground. Listen as
we explore the possibility of Eternal
Life to overcome the belief in a

(01:09):
temporary sense of existence. In this
episode, we will discuss Colossians 3,
verses 2-3. I'll read it. Set your
affection on things above, not on things
on the earth, for ye are dead and your
Life is hid with Christ in God. End of
the verse. Welcome to The Voice of Yoga.
We are talking consciousness. Join the

Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to get the
light in your soul and live out of time.
Swami, the title of today's shows is There Is
No Future Heaven. So I think my first
curiosity is we've been talking about the
concept of time, so future shouldn't be
an idea. And also, what
does heaven look like?

(01:51):
Yeah, we start with the Divine Principle,
the Divine creation. The Bible says,
"Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven."
And so starting with absolute perfection
by acknowledging the omnipresence of the
Divine existence as the only

(02:13):
Self-existent power everywhere always.
Here we're building a mental landscape
which will enable the ability to move
from the studio of the mortal mind into
the reality of Spiritual Truth. Here
we're learning how to utilize both the

(02:36):
mortal sense of life along with the Truth
of Being. In the same way a filmmaker can
fine-tune a scene in a movie by using a
studio and location, we can learn to
employ both visualization and
Spiritualization by Knowing the

(02:58):
difference between the
two levels of consciousness,
the difference between thought and idea,
or the unreal and the real. We tend to do
things by measuring it or judging it for
being good or bad. Here we've changed our

(03:19):
line of demarcation from unreal to Real.
And in doing this we have to understand
what is heaven, what is Spiritual Truth,
and to understand the Absolute.
And we're trying to do it with a mind
that can't bring forth this Divine image.

(03:42):
So we educate our thought
up to Spiritual apprehension
before we walk reason through
this open door of Revelation.
So would you say that we would have to
understand the concept of past, present,
and future to be able to really
understand heaven is not a place that we

(04:04):
will go to chronologically like when we
pass? How can we go about
trying to understand that?
Yeah, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
It is right here everywhere always.
And we must be conscious of it to
experience it in the corporeal senses.

(04:28):
What is preventing us from seeing the
Divine creation? The mortal mind is
creating a veil which blocks the view of
the Truth. When we believe the veil is
real, we give it the life it doesn't
have. This is sin or avidya in Yoga. The

(04:50):
idea of missing the mark, falling for the
impermanent instead of the permanent and
the Real. The Divine creation is not in
time. In Spirit there is no time, no
space, no concept or form, no belief or

(05:12):
matter. Thinking is what we do with the
mind that can't bring forth the Divine
image. So there's no thinking in Spirit.
So we come back to this idea that the
kingdom of heaven isn't a place, but it
is a state of being. It is a state of

(05:32):
being conscious of the Divine creation.
We learn we can't know this Truth with
the mind we're using to get us through
this lifetime. So it comes back to Life
is hid with Christ in God. Christ, not
Jesus, but the saving aspect of Truth,

(05:56):
the Messiah. What makes the Divine
creation comprehensive
to human consciousness?
Once we have the birth of Christ in
consciousness, then of course we can
start to know the Truth that makes us
free from the belief there is a second

(06:17):
self. There is a good
and evil world of energy.
So Swami, I was brought up a Baptist. We
were pretty much told very clearly we
would go to heaven based on our conduct.
But this could be a pretty big belief
block to try to crumble, to think
differently about the idea of heaven on

(06:39):
earth. What would be
maybe some suggestions?
Well, coming out of the obstructions of
the false sense of life by educating
thought up to Spiritual apprehension. As
we ascend in consciousness, we can begin
with time as the first obstruction. Time

(07:03):
is measured, as you said, in past,
present, and future, which can be
simplified as now and then. In Yoga we
start with Muladhara Chakra, and we can
open that up to Ephesus in Revelations
and Principle in Christian Science,

(07:24):
Saturn in astrology. The thing I like
about the astrology is Saturn rules
Capricorn in Aquarius.
The assigned attribute for Capricorn is
"I am obedient" and obedience dissolves
the illusion of the "then of time." The

(07:44):
assigned attribute for Aquarius is "I am
friendly" and friendliness dissolves the
illusion of the "now of time."
Even though we are building this
landscape that we understand how things
are working, the nuomena and the

(08:05):
phenomena, how things are and how they
appear, making distinctions between the
human and the coincidence
that can happen with the Divine.
But if you don't have a willingness to
challenge the beliefs that came out of
orthodox religion, and you want to

(08:26):
continue to believe in something that
doesn't really demonstrate, that's what I
think the message of the Christ was so
valuable, is that Jesus said, "The
kingdom of heaven is at hand."
And everything that he did was based on
demonstration, not just theory, it wasn't

(08:49):
just words. He was proving this
Principle, and so it becomes a science,
not kept at the level of belief.
Belief in the Divine Principle will
graduate to what's called faith, and
faith is when your belief is starting to
affect this appearance. And then your

(09:12):
faith can graduate into understanding
where you are now demonstrating Divine
law with Scientific certainty. But if you
don't have the method to develop the
faculty that will enable us to receive
the Divine Revelation,

(09:32):
we stay at this level of belief. Like
Jesus said, we die in our sins.
Earlier you had said, by starting with
the Divine Principle, acknowledging the
omnipresence of Divine existence as the
only Self-existent power everywhere,
always, would you say that would probably
be a pretty good place to start?

(09:54):
Yeah, life without Principle is like a
ship without a rudder. There's really no
way of us having an anchor. It's one of
the reasons why Orthodox religion doesn't
work. Our medical model doesn't work. We
don't understand the Truth. We don't

(10:18):
understand how to interpret Scripture, so
that we can demonstrate the instruction.
Because Spirit is a demonstrable
Principle. It's a law. But again, we must
be conscious of it in order to activate
it in experience. And if we don't have

(10:38):
the methodology in order to induce this
birth of Christ in consciousness,
then we sit around and we wait for Jesus
to come back and take us in with his
demonstration. Like he told us, you will
try and follow me and you won't be able

(11:01):
to follow me and you'll die in your sins.
So what does it look like to you when
somebody does
acknowledge the omnipresence?
Well, you become that place where the
Divine Principle expresses itself through
you as you. Like the Bible says, the

(11:24):
message of the Christ is heal the sick,
reform the sinner, raise the dead.
You couldn't know this Truth and then
just keep it to yourself.
You would have to find
a way of letting it out.
This would be bearing the fruits of the

(11:45):
Spirit, revealing. That's the purpose of
this existence for us to glorify the
Creator. And we do that by doing the will
of the Father. But what we've learned is
you can't do the Divine will with
instruction coming from the mortal mind.

(12:07):
It comes back to
having this Mind of Christ.
So Swami, let's get back to this belief, this idea
of having to die to go to heaven.
Like Paul told us, ye are dead and your
Life is hid with Christ in God. The
mortal sense of existence isn't real.

(12:30):
That we're born, we
mature, we grow old, we expire.
That's all part of this illusion.
It's a mental concept about eternal Life,
which is perfect,
whole, everywhere, always.
Now, we can't experience that with the

(12:54):
mind we're using, with this false sense
of existence. The Bible says we have to
put off the old man. And so we must give
up life in matter for Life in Spirit. Or
what Jesus said, to be born again of
Spirit. It's all instruction.

(13:17):
And yet, if you understand what it looks
like when we do these things, and you
have all your ducks in order, then you
can evoke this birth of
Christ in consciousness,
and transcend the limits of this mortal
sense of existence, and begin to know

(13:38):
yourself in the way that you are known,
which is Spirit. One of the things we
know about Spirit is it's whole. Spirit
can't be divided. There's only one. It's
not like there's God and all of us, and
all of us have our own spirits. This idea

(14:00):
of the many dissolves in the light of
Divine Truth. The realization there is
only one being,
everywhere, always. And it's perfect.
We're going to pause right here to hear a
word from our sponsor. Listen, we'll be
back with you in just a few moments.

Welcome back. For those who are just

(15:11):
joining us, you're listening to The Voice
of Yoga, and we are
talking consciousness.
Swami, maybe we should start the second
half with the sound bites that we have
from Herb Fitch's Revelation of St. John.
Yeah, and if anybody is interested in the
full audio file or the complete program,
you can get this at

(15:31):
mysticalprinciples.com. And I'll play
this from Class 3B when talking about
Jesus, Herb said, and when he looked out
with Divine thought, why Divine thought
externalized as the
dissolution of the problem.

(16:04):
No matter what the false consciousness
does, behind all that you do, sustaining
you in spite of your human self-hood is
your Divine Being. And this is God the
Father infinite through Christ,
recognizing that Christ in you will never
perish, revealing to you that I can never
leave you or forsake thee. Even when you
deny my presence, I remain. Why? Because

(16:27):
I am thee. I can't leave myself. My self
is yourself. My self is the self of your
neighbor. And you will discover that the
self that can never leave you, which is
your self and is the self of all who walk
the earth, is the One invisible infinite
Christ that never changes, for it has the

(16:50):
seven candles, six and the seven stars.
It alone has the total will and purpose
of the Father, and the wayward human
consciousness, which has run off into its
own will, its own false ego, is merely
running away from all of the things
within itself that it can claim and

(17:10):
accept and enjoy while it is seeking
those things out there in a nothingness
that doesn't exist. Your hypnosis is
being revealed here as a divided
consciousness, the one which knows not
its own identity is Christ and the
reality of you, which is that Christ. You
see, we've covered this in our earlier

(17:32):
talk, but now we're putting it together
with the words of John. Always the Father
within you being addressed by the
infinite Father, God speaking, Father God
speaking to God's Son. And we are
privileged to listen to this Divine
conversation within ourselves.

(17:54):
Nevertheless, I have somewhat against
thee because thou hast left thy first
love. Being Divine, your first love is to
serve the infinite Father. That first
love thou hast left. And this is the
revelation of the false consciousness,
which is strayed from serving the Father.
This is a flat statement that man on

(18:15):
earth is not doing the will of God. Oh,
we repeated in our little Bible chores,
we say, "Father, thy will be done," but
only the Divine self of you does the will
of the Father. Humanly, you cannot do the
will of the Father. And when you are not
doing the will of the Father, you are in
a separate will. That is the way you dig
your grave. To do the will of the Father,

(18:38):
you must be Divine. And so you must
accept your Divinity, for the will of the
Father is only done in Divinity. You can
never cling to a human sense of self and
do the will of the Father. You will be
doing your concept of what you think is
the will of the Father. You'll be running
to your neighbor to do a good deed

(18:58):
because you think that's the Father's
will. But you won't recognize the Christ
of your neighbor. And that is the
Father's will. You'll see evil in the
world and try to make it good. And you'll
think that's the will of the Father, but
it isn't. The moment you have seen evil
that must be made good, you're looking
out of a human mind. There is no evil in
the kingdom of God. And that's all there

(19:20):
is, is the kingdom of God. People by the
Divine self, which you are. And where you
have seen evil, it is because you are in
a sense of a second self. In your Divine
Self, you will not accept evil. Because
there is no evil in my Father's kingdom
where I am. Now, if you're not in your
Father's kingdom now, then you're not

(19:41):
Divine, are you? If you can't accept that
you're in the kingdom of God, then you're
not Divine. So if you're not Divine,
you're out of the law, out of the
protection of the law. What are you? You
know the answer. You're a second self.
And there is no such thing. We are now
adjusting our consciousness to recognize
that the only heaven there is is where I

(20:01):
stand. There's no future heaven. There's
heaven here and now because I am the
Divine Self. And there's heaven here and
now all over this universe because all
that is on it is the Divine Self. And I
must dwell within
myself to recognize, realize,
feel, know, accept that the Divine Self

(20:22):
being the only self, this is the heaven
that men seek. It is a now heaven. It is
a here heaven. It is the only creation
there is. And I am in the
midst of it. It is I. And I am it.
Swami, I like how he points out about being
in the second self and that we need to
recognize and realize and know our true

(20:45):
selves. What are your
thoughts about that?
Yeah, exactly. And it's not quite as easy
as what it sounds like because we have to
overcome the false sense of existence and
you don't just dismiss it. You have to
master the mind-body complex and develop

(21:07):
yourself to your highest understanding of
right. And then walk reason through the
open door of Revelation. What Mary Baker
Eddy said, health in matter must be
given up for health in Spirit. So there
is this rebirthing of our identity.

(21:27):
It's a gradual process as thought shifts
from a mental material basis to a
Spiritual basis. You're leaving duality,
material law, and you're now living under
the government of the unified state.
Absolute goodness.

(21:49):
We have another sound bite here from Herb
Fitch that will play for our listeners.
And if anybody is interested in the full
audio file, you can get this at
mysticalprinciples.com.
We are facing the false beliefs of the
human mind with fidelity to the Father
within who says the kingdom of God is

(22:10):
within you. And it has ever been within
you. It was within you before you came
into physical form. It will be within you
after you step out of physical form. It
is your identity. The kingdom of God is
your name. The kingdom of God is Christ
the Son, on earth as it is in heaven. And
that is why the Father is speaking to

(22:32):
this Christ of you in this first letter.
And yet there is a tendency of you to not
hear the Father's words, to still be
concerned about the human sense of self,
its many tomorrows, its position, its
health. And in the return to the Father's
house, in your consciousness, you will

(22:53):
discover there is no need for that
concern. There is no such self to be
concerned about. That self does not exist
except in your thought. The only self you
can be is that self which is the child of
the Father, the living Spirit of God,
living here and now in the kingdom of God
in a Spiritual form. That is yourself.

(23:15):
And until the acceptance of that self is
made, you will have the consciousness of
a second self. You will be in a divided
consciousness. And you will not break the
first seal which releases the power of
the Spirit. The power of the Spirit is
released when you accept yourself to be
the Spirit. Remember therefore from
whence thou has fallen and repent.

(23:38):
To repent then is to turn back to the
beginning of what you originally were
before you came into this form. That is
whence thou art fallen. You have fallen
from the consciousness that I am the One.
The One that you are. The belief that I
am not that One is the fall. And the
repent is the returning to the

(23:58):
consciousness that I am that One. I could
never be less for there is no less. There
is no other. I am the One, the living
Divine Being. And the phrase that must
ever ring in your mind is that I am
Divine Life because to be another kind of
life is to be non-existent.
Only Divine Life is, only the Father is

(24:21):
and therefore that Life I am now. And as
I accept it, I am repenting. I am
returning from that which I have fallen.
I haven't even left the room. I haven't
died. I haven't gone through penance. I
haven't repented for my sins. I have
merely accepted my name, my identity. And

(24:43):
that is repenting. Returning to the one
consciousness of the one Divine Life.
Repent or else I will come unto thee
quickly and will remove thy candlestick
out of this place except thou repent. You
are Divine existence. That is your
candlestick. You either accept it and its
law governs you or you live the mortal

(25:06):
life until it's over. That's the best
offer you'll have all day. That you
accept divinity and renounce the belief
in mortality. Repent or I come quickly
and remove thy candlestick. You see we're
on a basis whereby we accept our Divinity
or the branch that will not is purged.
And then Christ in you has to reform and

(25:27):
another body appears.
It seems like Herb is definitely
giving us these options. Either we stay
in the material mental world and die in
our sins or accept and
acknowledge our true identity.
Right. And what would you rather do? Walk
in the kingdom of heaven on earth or deal
with the good and evil world of energy? I

(25:51):
like what he said in La Jolla series
class 12a. And I'll read it. "Heaven is
earth without the mask of the sense." End
of quote. I think about what C.S. Lewis
said. Aim for heaven. Earth gets thrown
in. Aim for earth you get neither. We did

(26:11):
a radio show on April 5th, 2021 and it
was called "Noumena and Phenomena." How
things are and how they appear to be.
Sense versus soul or material mental
versus Spiritual. We have choices but if

(26:32):
you don't know the difference,
we're still in the mental material world
of energy but we think we're spiritual.
Like von Goethe said, none are more
hopelessly enslaved than those who
falsely believe they are free.
And without leadership demonstrating

(26:53):
Divine law with scientific certainty to
open that window of interest, we continue
to be satisfied with the mortal sense of
existence until you get to a point where
you decide you've had enough. Because we
will continue to come back

(27:14):
until we realize the Truth.
We have a quote here from Herb Fitch's
Avila Beach Class 1B. I'll read it. "And
so while we may seem to suffer from
things, objects, powers of the world,
lacks and limitations, our invisible
adversary is the sense of time which

(27:36):
supports the activity of the visible
world. And in that sense of time we are
born, in that sense of time we think we
live, and in that sense of time we think
we die. We literally drown in time. And
this is a universal experience, a
universal hypnotism." End of the quote.
Swami are your thoughts?

(27:56):
Yeah, here he reminds us time is the
enemy because it is the unreal disguised
as the Real. This is one of
our biggest barriers (avidya)
ignorance mistaking the impermanent for
the permanent, sin missing the mark. And
human satisfaction is more of an

(28:19):
obstruction than sickness, suffering,
disease, lack and limitation. Because
when we are in those adverse conditions,
we have a much greater willingness to
give up this false sense of self. But if
we don't understand exactly how it works,

(28:41):
then of course we remain in this
unconscious state driven by the belief in
two powers, and it will go on
indefinitely until it is met by something
that is not bound by the same rules.
Divine law trumps karmic law. And when we

(29:04):
have Truth in consciousness, when we have
the Mind of Christ, then of course we can
exercise the dominion the
Bible gives us in Genesis 1.
