The severe threat has moved to the east of the Charlotte area, but the rain isn't over yet. Here's what you need to know

The severe threat has moved to the east of the Charlotte area, after strong storms moved through Georgia into the Carolinas this morning.

A strong storm system moving through the region produced a grand total of 14 tornado reports, 160 wind reports and 25 large hail reports over the last 24 hours, with these numbers likely to grow -- but none were in our area.

This severe weather window has closed for the Charlotte area but a cold front will push in later today.
